An Khang Quan in Hamburg

The food was tasty, although I'm used to something different from authentic Vietnamese cuisine – parsley instead of coriander?? For the price, however, I have to deduct stars. You pay at least 50% more than at other restaurants, and the portion size is, well, just barely adequate. If you order an appetizer, main course, and dessert, you can certainly get full. But you won't be satisfied with just a main course, and the price/performance ratio isn't right. Furthermore, I've never eaten in a Vietnamese restaurant that didn't offer chopsticks. The place seems to have adapted too much to the German Eppendorf palate. Unfortunately, I wouldn't recommend this restaurant.

The food was good; all the entrées we ordered were delicious, freshly deep-fried. But they forgot one order which we couldn't eat as the kitchen was already closed. Sad... but they sincerely apologised, so it was okay. The price was very reasonable which was fantastic. The service was good. The place is clean and neat. Toilets are downstairs so no wheelchair access. We will go back to eat what we couldn't eat!

The food here is great and the restaurant environment is comfortable and nicely decorated. However the service felt uncoordinated even when the restaurant wasn't full. Service also seemed to lack a genuine friendliness and charm. I'd certainly eat here again but stop short of wholeheartedly recommending.

There were five of us at this restaurant for my father's 78th birthday. The food itself was really good – absolutely delicious, beautifully presented, and of good quality. Unfortunately, the portions were quite small, which was somewhat disappointing considering the price. What really ruined our evening, however, was the way the waitress (I don't know if she was the manager) treated us. She seemed very unfriendly and annoyed right from the start. It was clear she didn't want to be there for the guests. Things got particularly unpleasant when my young son asked if he could have a second small plastic parasol – part of the table decorations. She actually said no. For a child who would have been delighted with something so small on his birthday, this was naturally disappointing. I then politely asked her if she was serious about a plastic parasol. Instead of addressing the situation discreetly, she came to our table and began complaining loudly about my request in front of all the other guests. That was extremely unpleasant for me, and frankly, it completely ruined the atmosphere at our table—especially on a 78th birthday. In conclusion: The food is good, but the way guests were treated was, unfortunately, completely unacceptable in our case. It's a shame when such behavior spoils what should have been a lovely occasion. A little friendliness and sensitivity would have truly made all the difference.

We stopped here for a meal spontaneously and by chance. The mango salad was excellent, the main course was okay, and the drinks were good. It's worth a visit; the prices are reasonable.

The price-performance ratio is still okay. The service is friendly and attentive. The food tastes good, and the atmosphere is Asian. Overall, it's worth a visit, or even several! 😀

The manager there treats the staff incredibly harshly. You can immediately tell she acts like the boss, even though she's "just" a manager. She demands that everyone work at lightning speed instead of cleaning properly. I'm almost certain she's deleted all the letters of complaint—the negative reviews. Because it's completely impossible for there to be no bad comments! Her voice echoes throughout the restaurant—so loud that you simply can't ignore it. No one needs to listen to that kind of shouting! It was the loudest restaurant I've ever been to—you could barely hear yourself! Honestly, that was the worst restaurant experience of my life. Never again!

There were two of us there and, to be honest, we were pleasantly surprised. We had soups, various starters, and two main courses, and everything was very satisfying. We eat Asian food quite often, so I can wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant. At first, we weren't even going in because the front was covered in scaffolding. Luckily, we decided to go anyway. Everything was delicious and authentic. The service was also very friendly and helpful.

Don't miss this vietnamese restaurant! Even thougth the location is currently covered by a rack (hopeflluy it will be removed soon), the interior will reward you with a nice and cozy place for dinner. We went there with 4 persons and the service and the food was awesome! We highly recommend this place! It's a family business over years now! They told us, in the first 4 years it felt like they were the only one with vietnamese food. (or maybe even the first one in Hamburg? ;-)) Awesome food and great hospitality! We've been coming regularly since the restaurant opened and always find it incredibly delicious. There are now a number of Vietnamese restaurants in Hamburg. But An Khang was one of the first and it is still one of the few where the dishes taste the way I know them from Vietnam.

We were just here for dinner. Food was delicious, BUT the service, on the other hand, was a disaster... Neither nice nor friendly, not to be surpassed in listlessness. There was a loud discussion in the back, otherwise the store was dead quiet, no background music or anything like that which could have dampened the discussion. Were the only guests. No asking whether it tastes good, whether we would like something to drink, etc. Service works somehow differently, as does hospitality. If there is already a construction site in front of the door, you should make sure that the guests feel comfortable and come back if necessary. Well, at least not us. Leftovers should be packed up, the lady was gone and only came back in 10 minutes and then went to the front to pay. (Sat at the front table and was playing on his cell phone) Ec device was all waiting again for something to load. What does the store do when it's FULL? Too bad

I have devoured An Khang's delicious dishes countless times. Whether bun, travel dishes, pho - everything was great. You could make the chili sauce yourself instead of using the siracha (which tastes good but contains flavor enhancers). I still enjoy eating here!

Following a recommendation, we went to the An Khang restaurant for the first time yesterday - and it was really good. We had 2 starters (betel leaf rolls & wontons), which tasted excellent, and then a bun each with caramelized beef or grilled chicken. Both also super tasty. We are therefore happy to pass on the recommendation and will definitely come back! And then I try a curry, or the summer rolls to roll yourself, or the Dutch oven or… let’s see!

I've been a customer for a few years now and can only recommend An Khang. Whether you can pick it up or eat it on site, it simply tastes good! The composition of the dishes is also great. A little different than most Vietnamese restaurants, but that's a real game changer. Definitely the duck is a top recommendation. Super polite and nice staff. Keep it up!

Fresh and tasty food at reasonable prices. Friendly service. Had shrimp with cashew sauce. They were very generous with the shrimp. For my taste they could have been a bit crispier. But otherwise super good.

Habe die Rinderphosuppe für 14,50€ heute probiert. Die Suppe schmeckt süß, die Fleischscheiben kleben fest aneinander und traditioneller Geschmack ist nicht vorhanden. Aufessen konnte ich sie nicht. Die Zutaten waren aber frisch. Als ich den Kellner gerufen und ihm dies mitgeteilt habe, wurde ich mit einem "Okay" belächelt. Obwohl ich zwei mal mitgeteilt habe, dass mir die Suppe nicht geschmeckt hat, glaube ich dass der Kellner mich nicht verstanden hat da er nur gelächelt hat. Anschließend habe ich die Frühlingsrollen bestellt, die lecker waren, um halbwegs satt zu werden (was ich nicht geworden bin). Am Ende wurde mir alles in Rechnung gestellt. Alles in Allem werde ich nie wieder hier hinkommen, da es viel zu teuer war für dieses geringer als mittelmäßige Geschmackserlebnis.

Ich war Neulich mit meine Freundin dort, wir waren nicht zu Frieden, Service was Amateurhaft, Essen war sehr teuer, die Mitbewerber sind besser..

Das Personal ist super freundlich und hilfsbereit. Und das Essen ist einfach gigantisch. Die Sommerrollen (ob bereits fertig gerollt oder zum selber rollen) sind einfach nur schmackhaft. Ich habe in Deutschland noch keinen besseren Vietnamesen als An Khang gefunden. Hier koch der Chef noch persönlich in der Küche. Alle meine Freunde sind ebenfalls begeistert und gehen mit Ihren Familien hier regelmäßig essen.

Location is prime amidst Eppendorf, Eimsbüttel and Lokstedt, and competition caused the restaurant to refurbish itself and have a more elegant ambience, which also reflects in the 10% increase in the prices. Speaking of presentation, the print-out menu doesn't at all match how the restaurant wants to present itself and seems lazy. Service is really excellent and attentive, they cater to the German mentality with an Asian touch. Food is presentable and good but only good and nothing special, almost blunt. I finished eating because I was hungry, not because it was tasty. Anyway, for those with lower or no expectations, the place is OK but seems pleased with what they've done already and won't improve. For a better Vietnamese gastronomic experience, I'd rather go back to Green Papaya.

Nicht nur in Hamburg und nicht nur was Vietnamesische Küche angeht ist An Khang Quan das beste Restaurant, das ich kenne. Das liegt in erster Linie am wahnsinnig guten Essen, aber auch an der Freundlichkeit des Personals. Ich würde 5 Bewertungen schreiben, wenn ich damit die zwei bescheuerten negativen Bewertungen aufwiegen könnte, die den Schnitt hier so unnötig runter ziehen.

Essen und auch der Service war sehr aufmerksam. Aus meiner Sicht findet man hier die beste PHO der Stadt, wobei ich die Variante mit Tofu bevorzuge. Super lecker waren auch die Kleinigkeiten

Essen sowie die Preise einfach herausragend. Tolle Atmosphäre und sehr freundliches Personal. Für mich der beste Vietnamese in Hamburg mit einzigartiger Marinade. Besonders zu empfehlen die Summer Rolls zum selber rollen oder die Reisnudeln mit Tofu, Hähnchen, Rind (es ist alles gut) - Für Vegetarier ist auf jeden Fall eine große Auswahl vorhanden.

Als ehemalige Stammkunden wollten wir abends nachdem wir bereits in einem anderen Restaurant in unserem Viertel Eimsbüttel/ Eppendorf gespeist hatten, unser Dessert und einen Kaffee im Anh Khang Quan zu uns nehmen. Es muss darauf hingewiesen werden, dass das Restaurant halbleer war, und es absolut keinen Mangel an Plätzen gab. Nachdem wir höflich unsere Bestellung aufgegeben hatten, wurden wir unfassbar aggressiv und schroff darauf hingewiesen, dass das kein Café sei, es sei ein Restaurant, wir müssten wirtschaftlich denken, wurde uns aggressiv erklärt. Noch einmal: Das Restaurant war leer. Ganze sogenannte "Hunde-Bereiche" (ja, richtig gelesen) waren unbesucht. Es wurde unsererseits irritiert nachgefragt, warum sie uns das erkläre. Absolut stumpf, ruppig und unverschämt wiederholte sie, dass es kein Café sei, sondern ein Restaurant!!! Über diese unerwartete Aggressivität und Unverschämtheit fassungslos, entschieden wir die Bestellung zu stornieren und zu gehen. Auf unsere Reaktion und den Verweis wurde kritikresistent und selbstgefällig reagiert. Ein Lokal, dass keinen Wert auf Gastfreundschaft legt, sollte nicht unterstützt werden- Menschlichkeit und gute Manieren sollten stets oberste Priorität sein.
