Except for the friendly staff and fast service, it was a complete disappointment. We ordered a lamb and a liver shish. Unfortunately, the quality was much lower than we expected. We haven't tried other kebab types, so we don't know how the others are, but my advice to you is definitely do not order the liver shish and lamb shish. You will regret it. Besides, how can a kunefe be this bad? It is a very expensive place in terms of price/performance. Not recommended.

The restaurant is very nice and very large, which creates a pleasant atmosphere. The service is also very good – friendly and attentive. Unfortunately the food is just average. Despite the attractive surroundings and good service, the quality of the food didn't completely convince me. Overall, a nice restaurant that scores particularly well with its size and good service. However, there is still room for improvement when it comes to eating.

A very nice restaurant that has enough space and therefore offers a pleasant atmosphere. The service is a 5 out of 5 as there is nothing to complain about, just as there is little to complain about with the food. The food came quickly (restaurant relatively full) and we enjoyed it very much. Fresh bread and salad were served in advance, which we also enjoyed.

We were there for the breakfast buffet with a group of about 20 people. The staff is extremely friendly, courteous and helpful. The breakfast buffet was very tasty.

My impression of the Nirvana restaurant in Essen is extremely positive. The service was fantastic and very professional. The staff was nice and polite, making us feel very welcome. The food was extremely delicious, especially the starters and salad. The meat was excellently prepared. The price was absolutely right for the service offered. The atmosphere was very nice and we felt very comfortable. We were given a very good welcome and can fully recommend the Nirvana restaurant.

every waiter instead of taking the order greeted and passed by, my friend and I waited for our order for more than 40 minutes, while there were more waiters than guests and they were talking to each other, I am disappointed with the price and size of the dish, I expected it to be more as shown in the menu, when I asked why it took so long, the waiter laughed at me and asked if I was from Ukraine, we had to call another waiter to pay for the order and then asked to wait 2 minutes, ok that is not 40 😆 and it was faster, my friend and I were disappointed and tired of waiting, so we will not come here again.

The service was good and workers were nice. The food was not ok we order 3 different meat meals and all of them had raw meat. The food was not wauw but the atmosphere was ok with the nice weather.

Yesterday the three of us and a small dog were at the breakfast buffet. Were greeted very friendly, even our dog was kindly provided with water. Despite the weather, it was pleasant to sit on the terrace as everything was made weatherproof. Buffet was varied and very tasty. Was always refilled. The entire staff was very attentive, new tea was brought straight away and fresh warm pide was even offered directly at the table. We'll definitely be back.

Delicious food, friendly staff, gladly again

We went to Nirvana for the breakfast buffet for the second time today. The employees Ugur and Bilal are super friendly, attentive and helpful and create a pleasant atmosphere. The buffet is unbeatably varied, fresh and incredibly tasty. The longest journey is worth it, we will definitely come back on our next visit to Essen 👍😊

The food was clearly ok, the service staff was very friendly, but what really bothered me was the ambience - honestly, we barely had any space, all the chairs were crammed together in one corner, it was extremely tight

I come to eat here more often. Service is good and very nice. Cold & warm starter plates followed by the tasty saddle of lamb is an insider tip. The ambience is quite nice but one star is deducted because everything is so narrow. Maybe other chairs would be more advantageous

The last time I was there was 3 years ago. Everything was great back then. About our visit yesterday: The service is very quick and friendly. Hence the 2 stars. The food was very very very disappointing for this price range. Ordered 2 dishes (around €23 each). Unfortunately very greasy and felt flooded with tomato sauce. Rice side dishes were very dry. Ordered a fries with it. These were ok. In addition to the atmosphere... there felt like there were tables and chairs everywhere, so you felt very cramped and had no freedom of movement. Apparently a lot has happened in 3 years. Absolutely no recommendation from us.

Really a top level restaurant. Super friendly and delicious food. If it's not too crowded you get your food very quickly and it always tastes great.

The breakfast buffet was a complete disappointment. The meals served under the name of the breakfast buffet consisted of heavy and fried vegetables and appetizers more suitable for dinner. It was a great shock to encounter poor quality pudding varieties instead of butter, cream cheese and cheddar cheese, which are indispensable in a breakfast buffet. Quality is much more important than quantity. There was also a bad smell of perfume inside the place, which was sprayed every 5 minutes. This situation completely eliminated the joy of breakfast. It was a breakfast experience that did not meet our expectations.

A must visit place in Essen incredible service the waiters were so kind that it was unbelievable. If anyone wants to meet with their friends or just to eat alone i definetely recommend here.

Large restaurant, tastefully decorated. Unfortunately it's not particularly comfortable, as the room seems cramped when it's full of massive chairs and tables. The food was delicious. Only the fries didn't really taste good. The dessert at the counter didn't look appetizing so we decided against it. The prices are a bit high. The staff was nice and accommodating. All in all, I can recommend this restaurant if you want to eat delicious Turkish food in Essen.

It provides on Sundays a great open buffet breakfast with a rich variety of choices. The selection is extensive and offers something for everyone, making it an excellent way to enjoy a hearty and satisfying morning meal.

It looked very nice, but unfortunately that was the only good thing. The service was really bad and our food came out before our drinks. We ordered these 1 liter Ayran pots. When we mentioned that our drinks were missing, a glass of Ayran came instead of the pot for just one person. It was also mentioned several times that we would like extra tzatziki and ice cubes on our fries, neither of which were actually brought after three mentions. The fries were absolutely not fried at all. Our plates were still completely full and we weren't even asked if everything was okay. The shop was also very empty. I would have a bit of understanding if it were fuller.

We came here from Dorrmund today and had dinner as a family of 6 people. This is our third time coming here with my wife and everything was great again. I hope you continue like this. The waiters were friendly, the employees were friendly, especially the female waiters were very friendly and provided very good service. They hosted us very nicely. The food was great, we ate Lamb Back dish, mixed grill for 4 people and Ali Nazif. Everything was great, including the tea and coffee we drank after the meal. A magnificent Turkish Restaurant with great food and taste. I'm glad to have you. ❤️👏🏼

The service was good and people were nice. The food was ok although it did have too much oil for my liking. There was no AC in the restaurant despite being very hot. There were also flies just flying around which was very annoying.

The best Turkish restaurant in Essen with many specialties of kebabs, doner kebabs and sweets. The bathroom wasn't very clean which I didn't like.

We were very pleased when we went for iftar in Ramadan. That's why I ordered home a few times. I am writing this review on behalf of all the orders I have placed so far. We placed the orders through Wolt. Although we ordered lahmacun and salad in our first order, only parsley was sent as salad. Frankly, I didn't care much. In the second order, we ordered Lahmacun and Stuffed Meatballs. There were 3 stuffed meatballs, even though it said 4 in the order details. As a salad, they sent a very juicy and mixed salad. Also, the salad was wilted like it was leftover from yesterday. I evaluated this situation through Wolt. I hope Wolt has contacted the restaurant regarding this matter. When we ordered for the third time, although we ordered salad and stuffed meatballs, only 2 stuffed meatballs were brought again. I hope the restaurant owner takes this comment about the orders into consideration.

The lamb dish was COLD. I don't understand if it should be like this. Taste was still okay. A stressed out waitress served us. The toilet was without toilet paper and one of both toilets was blocked. Dessert tasted good, but it wasn't like the picture, or did we order wrong? The picture seems much larger than it is on the plate.

We ordered the mixed grill menu for 4 people, special for Nirvana. It was delicious. A very diverse and satisfying menu with salad, appetizers and dessert. Afterwards, we were delighted that they did not charge extra for tea.

The services are great. They just need to fix some quality of food such as simit and sucuk

It's cozy here the waiters are nice it's a restaurant with lots of delicious dishes the atmosphere here is very premium and I would recommend coming here elegantly dressed I was here with my class and don't regret it. We all got a starter and a delicious tea I recommend it only one minus it is very warm here ☺👍🏻

A nice restaurant with decent service and its own parking lot. Breakfast buffet was delicious and varied. Above all, I was impressed by the ambience and the service. The staff was courteous, not intrusive and it didn't feel like a mass check-in like other Turkish "restaurants". If you want oriental cuisine with a reasonable ambience and reasonable prices, this is the right place.

A mixed grill plate for four people was far too little.

Today we spontaneously decided to go to Nirvana with a larger group without a reservation. Despite the lack of a reservation, we received an extremely friendly welcome. The service was incredibly courteous and the food was absolutely perfect. The ambience was also excellent in terms of cleanliness and comfort. Nirvana is absolutely a location for a great time with friends or family. We will definitely come back…next time with a reservation. ;-)

Today I spontaneously drove to Essen and was looking for a good restaurant and thanks to recommendations from several friends from Essen I came here and I can tell you the food was super delicious, the service was wonderful, the staff were all very friendly and you feel very comfortable here and also very comfortable. I had an Adana, two skewers. One was good, the other was still half tough. For the price I expect something decent. The staff was not helpful when I brought this up. They went into the kitchen with my food and 10 minutes later I had to speak to the staff myself about what happened...I didn't get any compensation or anything. Wouldn't eat there again.

We celebrated our 10th grade graduation party at this restaurant and can highly recommend it. The organization was excellent and the team went above and beyond to ensure our celebration went smoothly. The atmosphere was inviting and perfect for our event. The food was delicious and attractively presented. The service was attentive and friendly, contributing to a relaxed and festive atmosphere. Overall it was a great experience and we are very grateful for the great support of the restaurant team. We would choose this restaurant again at any time for a celebration or special event.

Even though I made a reservation for the holiday 1 month in advance and called twice to confirm the reservation, when I went there, I was made to wait for a table for 20 minutes and was tried to be taken to the outside tables, which made us a little sad as a family of 5. However, the energy and attitude of Waiter Uğur Bey made us smile. Nirvana is a good restaurant in terms of quality, but It lowers your morale when you go to breakfast as a family and cannot find a place to seat you when you have a reservation on the morning of the holiday. If it were not for Mr. Ogün Uğur, I would definitely leave without waiting and give the lowest score. We would like to thank him again from here. His food and other employees are also very good.

I can't understand the bad reviews, if I could I would give more stars. We had breakfast here this morning and what can I say, everything was great! The service was excellent, I've never been to a restaurant where the service was so good 😊 There was also a homemade lemonade on the house. The waiter who served us (it's a shame I don't remember his name) he was simply the best, very nice 😊 That definitely wasn't the last time I ate here!
