Huge portions and full of flavor, got a teller with salad, rice, veggies, halloumi, falafel and different sauces like hummus, peanut, yogurt and fair prices.

I wanted to order takeout with a friend. She was served normally and got her food. And I simply wasn't asked what I wanted; I was completely ignored. In the end, I didn't order anything either! Something like that has never happened to me before.

Really excellent food, and the first time in a while we've had the chance to try a cuisine that we were entirely unfamiliar with. Ordered the mixed plate, and were impressed by the sauces, Sudanese-style falafel, and lentil sticks. The sesame cookies they sell are great too!

Fraudsters! I was here with friends on the evening of August 6, 2025. We ate two falafel halloumi sandwiches outside on the terrace. The sandwiches were okay, the peanut sauce was good, but the bread, tomatoes, and lettuce were very cold – resulting in a weird dining experience with crispy hot and cold ingredients. Reason for the bad review: After we left, we discovered during conversation that both my friend who picked up the food and I afterward had paid for the sandwiches – a total of €26.50 for two sandwiches that would have cost €13. There were only two other groups there at the time. The employee could have pointed out to me that the food had already been paid for – if he hadn't wanted to make a quick buck. Quick profit over hospitality. I won't be back.

Been coming there for years and I love it

I come here every now and then. It's like a gamble sometimes whether everything you order is correct and fits... but that's standard at most kebab or shawarma shops. Anyway, last time it was absolutely perfect. Everything was more than just right. The food here has never been this perfect (and I've been coming here for years, and it was already amazing before the coronavirus pandemic...). So, top-notch work. Really, really, really delicious, no reservations (PS: please bring back the vegan African burger on Lieferando).

Best halloumi magazine sandwich

Small shop, big flavor explosion! I had fried bananas or plantains – crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and simply heavenly. My boyfriend treated himself to a falafel and halloumi parcel, which was also super fresh and flavorful. The highlight for both of us: the mango sauce and the peanut sauce – absolutely amazing, we would have loved to eat them straight! Authentic, delicious, and made with love – we'll definitely be back.

I bought the special Bombay sandwich. It tasted okay. Unfortunately, the bread was hard, and I waited 25 minutes for it...

Nil is a gem in Friedrichshain! We come multiple times a week and are always greeted with a big smile and delicious food. The vegan options are plenty and incredibly good. Everything is made with love and is super fresh. The Ligemat dough balls will steal your heart! It is also one of the few places in the neighborhood that has not doubled their prices in the last years, which deserves massive appreciation. Thank you for being there!

I order a lentil soup that supposed to be vegetarian and tastes like chicken. They have a sign that says all soups for 4,50 and the guy charge me 5,50. The soup had no salt and come with no bread. The dish was not clean. I honestly will not recommend it.

The best chicken sandwich I've ever eaten at a Sudanese restaurant. Salad was fresh, perfect quantity, peanut sauce and meat was crispy but tenderly fried and didn't feel heavy in the stomach even hours after consumption. A locally specific rice was added to the sandwich which was very good for the dish. In addition to the 6.50 (which was nothing for such a treat), the sandwich also didn't fall apart even when shaking/walking. 💯

Excellent address which nevertheless doesn't look like much. The managers are adorable and caring. Every sandwich is worth the detour. Special mention for the donuts!

Best vegetarian sandwiches you can get in the hood! I was going sometimes two days in a row, because it is soooo good :) And the people are so nice, welcoming, friendly and having a warm energy. And prices are very good. 100% recommendation!

I recently had the pleasure of dining at a Sudanese restaurant for the first time, and it was a fantastic experience. The owner was incredibly welcoming, with a warm smile and a great sense of humour that made us feel right at home from the moment we walked in. And the food – wow. The flavours were unique and rich, but the real standout was the peanut sauce. It was simply exceptional, adding a deliciously nutty depth to every dish it touched. If you're looking to try something new and flavorful, I highly recommend giving this place a visit. You won’t be disappointed!

This is the best Falafel I’ve ever had, I crave and dream about it when I’m not in Berlin, and it’s the first thing I want to eat when I am there. Home made fresh and crispy Falafels embedded in delicious sauces of varying flavours, e.g. sesame or peanut sauce - the latest addition is a fruity mango coulis which complements and enhances all flavours in the most delicious way. There’s also sliced potato, salad and tomato, and all of this goodness being wrapped in a thin pocket of flat bread makes the best late breakfast, lunch or dinner, or all three if you’re like me and cannot get enough. Additionally there are fresh sudanese juices made upon order, pomegranate is a favourite. Oh, and of course there are a lot of other traditional sudanese dishes which look amazing, I just never get to try them because the Falafel/Tamiya is so good and filling. The lovely owner can often be seen happily enjoying whatever is on the menu, and the staff are super friendly and very quick too. It’s a very happy place for people who appreciate deliciously fresh and authentic food, prepared and served with love and a smile.

I ordered on TooGoodTooGo for 4€ not expecting much but as i arrived they cooked freshly. That was out of my expectations. Otherwise the food was really really good for such a price! First time trying out was absolutely deserved. Especially the falafel was top notch, extinguish taste, memorable. Not only I did buy the food but also the service. Their service were so nice, even offered me the box to take away. So try it out ppl!!! Hope your business will be thriving.

As with the one in Kreuzberg, it's super tasty and the boss is incredibly friendly, it's cozy for those who like it in the city and the prices are more than fair.

The food was delicious and was freshly prepared right in front of us. The portions were so big that we couldn't finish them both and took the rest with us. The owner was very friendly and even gave us extra salad and sauce to go with our leftovers, as well as Ligemat. I will definitely come back and can only recommend it!

Amazing food, cozy space, perfect for a quick bite

I ordered via Lieferando. The store used to be so good, now it's just terrible. As always, the food arrived cold. The kofta was not fully fried, the consistency was like dough, the yeast balls (ligemat) fart dry and cold. And the remaining ingredients in the cardboard bowl were also a huge pile of mud. I have no idea what exactly was in there. The best part of the menu was the 0.2 liter Africa Cola. Without exaggerating - just disgusting.

Food was delicious and very good prices. The shop owner runs the shop all by himself and does it quite well. I recommend it to everyone who likes to eat something different. The interior is ok, unfortunately there is no toilet.

Wir haben bei Too Good to go eine Tüte bestellt, aber als wir da waren, ist ein Kellner sehr mit unzufriedener Gesicht zu uns gekommen und hat genervt gesagt, dass sie ab der Winterzeit nur bis bestimmte Uhrzeit Too good to go machen. Und er war so genervt, auch wenn es nicht unser Fehler war. Wir haben schon mal da gegessen und das Essen war super lecker und der andere Kellner war auch wirklich nett. Aber dieses mal war ich von der Bedienung enttäuscht.

My first time trying Sudanese food and I loved it here! Also the person taking the orders and cooking was really nice! Super attentive and always smiling and very welcoming and with a great attitude! I was asking questions about the food and he was happy to help answering them. The food besides being delicious and fresh, it was also really good considering the size of the portions and their prices! This being a small imbiss is a great place for a quick big bite!

Leckeres und mit Liebe zubereitetes sudanesisches Essen. Die Erdnusssoße ist sehr zu emphelen, aber auch die Falaffel und das gegrillte Gemüse schecken super. Der Service ist immer net und sehr herzlich. Es ist etwas eng aber dafür ist der Imbiss in bester Lage in der Grünberger Straße. Sollte man auf jeden Fall mal probieren.

da ich mich mit der sudanesischen Küche nicht so auskenne habe ich mich in die kundigen Hände des Chefs Walid Elsayed begeben und einfach die "Spezialität des Hauses" bestellt. Und das war eine gute Idee: es war superlecker und reichlich zu einem unschlagbar günstigen Preis! Hammer! Ich kann den Imbiß Nil wärmstens weiterempfehlen!

La salsa de maní es bastante popular en Berlín entre la comunidad africana. Saben que es bueno, saben que es adicción a los líquidos, y la mayoría de los involucrados en la industria alimentaria lo despliegan con ferocidad implacable y cruel. Nulo no es diferente. Mi boca no pudo resistirlo, el sabor siempre me pone en un maravilloso estado de placer incontrolado. Comí aquí tres veces en una semana. Dos veces recogió el falafel en la pita, y otra vez probó el tofu de Madagascar. Ambos me arrancaron los calcetines e hicieron que mi boca se torciera de convulsivo placer. Si estás en el área y no pruebas esta comida, estás cometiendo un crimen culinario.
