Das Gyros ist am besten wenn nicht gerade die Stoßzeit mit den Bestellungen läuft. Dann ist es außen knusprig aber dennoch saftig! Gebt alles, ihr seid ein tolles Team! Wir möchten gern mit Euch Jubiläum feiern und möchten Euch nicht missen.

Super Klassische "Pommesbude" mit ansetzen von Restaurants. Platz für mehrere Personen/Gruppen einem netten Ambiente. Das Essen schmeckt und alle Angestellten wie auch Inhaber sind sehr freundlich. Gerne wieder!

Ich kann diesen Imbiss jederzeit wieder Empfehlen. Wir kommen jederzeit gerne wieder.

Meine Frau, ein Freund und ich waren gestern das erste Mal dort essen. Wir haben uns dort sehr wohl gefühlt, die Bedienung war flott und freundlich und das Essen auf sehr gutem Niveau. Die Cevapcici waren so zart, daß sie auf der Zunge zergangen sind der Bauersalat super frisch mit hochwertigen Oliven/Schafskäse und das Gyrosfleisch ohne zuviel Fett und Knorpel, einfach köstlich. Die Preise sind bei den heutigen Energiekosten und Steuern fair und absolut angemessen. Wir kommen mit Sicherheit wieder.

Ich möchte nur mal an euch appellieren. Preise rauf und Qualität runter ist Gift fürs Geschäft. Natürlich weiß jeder der einkaufen geht, dass Fleischpreise gestiegen sind. Aber eine derartige Qualität abzuliefern gehört sich einfach nicht. Wir haben dieses Thema auch schon mal telefonisch besprochen. Also bitte, fangt an wieder abzuliefern so wie es vor Jahren einmal war.

Muss ehrlich sagen Gyros war top 👍

Meiner Meinung der beste Grieche in Marl. Auch wenn es etwas teurer wurde, bleibt die Qualität und die Menge bestehen. Gestern per Lieferando bestellt und die Lieferung erfolgte auch unter der angegebenen Lieferzeit. Das Essen war wie immer sehr lecker, die offene Gyros Pita ist sehr zu empfehlen, leckeres Gyrosfleisch und Tzatziki. Auch die Currywurst mit "Mama's Spezialsoße" ist sehr lecker, etwas schärfer / würziger. Beim nächsten mal kommen wir wieder vor Ort essen.

Wir haben im Kreis schon mehrere Griechische Restaurants ausprobiert - Kawala, obwohl nur ein "Grill", schlägt sie alle, was Freundlichkeit, Service und Angebot anbetrifft. Wir wünschen dem Chef und seinem Team alles Gute und kommen sehr gerne wieder. Jamas 🥂

Bin/ war ein langjähriger Kunde und war immer Fan von Kawala. In den letzten Jahren sind jedoch die Preise immer weiter hoch gegangen und die Qualität weiter runter. Seit neustem hat Kawala auch noch angefangen die Gyros Pita und Gyros Teller mit warmgehaltenem Fleisch zu belegen. Das wird scheinbar vorher gegrillt und anschließend in Speisewärmern auf Temperatur gehalten. Auch meine persönliche Bitte frisches Fleisch vom Spieß zu verwenden, wurde nicht beachtet obwohl mir das bestätigt wurde. Bei über 10€ für Pita + ein Getränk ist das bestimmt nicht zu viel verlangt. Enttäuschend.

Essen war nicht lecker, Wer traditionelle griechische Küche erwartet, wird enttäuscht sein.Und Apparat hat nicht gegönnt.

Also ich wollte nur aparat spielen weil als Rumäne dachte es wird tolle Atmosphäre. Ich wurde gezwungen was zu essen zu kaufen und aparat hat nicht mal gegönnt. Essen hin da ich sehr Hunger hatte aber ich bereu es.

Ich war da heute mit meine freunde, wir wollten aparat spielen. Kelner hat uns gezwunget was zu kaufen, ich dachte mir ok, was kann so slimm sein ? grösste fehler meines lebens. Wir haben erstmal gewartet bei aparat, es hat nicht mal was gegeben, nix, nur genommen. Egal, vieleicht essen ist gut NEIN, war es garnicht. Wir haben gyros bestellt, es sah aus wie hundefutter mit kaufland pommes drauf, mein freund hat unsere essen gegessen weil er kein essen zuhause hatte und seit 3 tage nix gegessen hat (Lange geschiste, er ist bisschen obdachlos). Ich wurde nicht mal ein stern geben, hatte fette durchfall danach.

Up until now, it's always been 5 stars, and I've never had any complaints. However, the prices have recently increased drastically. Last winter, everything was a bit more expensive, which is completely understandable in these times. However, the fact that some dishes have now been increased by up to 50%, despite taking current inflation into account, is inexplicable to me. Because of this, I'm unfortunately no longer willing to pay restaurant prices for takeaway food, even though the food there has always been delicious. It's a real shame! I hope they reconsider their calculations in some places, because apparently, several people in the reviews share my opinion.

I'm sorry I have to do this this way, but unfortunately there's no email address. I had the baked gyros with croquettes today and got a nasty case of food poisoning from it. The nearly €15 for the meal was a complete waste. Never again. The Lieferando delivery driver was very nice, which is why the service gets 5 stars.

The food really isn't bad, but the prices... A medium farmer's salad costs almost €10, unbelievable. For a bit of tomato, cucumber, olives, and feta. We won't be getting anything there often anymore. It's crazy. No one should be surprised if customers don't come. A real shame!

For almost 30 years, we've treated ourselves to gyros, tzatziki, and fries every few weeks. Even with rising prices, waiting times, and deliveries that were often already cold, resulting in soggy fries and warm tzatziki, within a radius of about 2 km. It's just more convenient to have it delivered... Today, however, we had gyros that was oily and tasted truly inedible and stale. The tzatziki also tasted nowhere near as good as usual; the wrong salad was packed, and the fries only became crispy after being cooked in our home air fryer. For this, at times truly inedible, meal, we had to pay over €30 for two people, picking it up ourselves. Of course, everything is getting more expensive, but unfortunately, we will avoid such disappointment and the subsequent digestive problems after decades of quality we've been used to. We think this is a great pity and remember "Mama Kawala," who always kept everything together perfectly.

16-17 euros for a schnitzel via Lieferando is cheeky and impertinent.

We always enjoy coming here. Super friendly service, reasonable prices for large portions. The food is always incredibly delicious. Our favorite Greek restaurant.

Today I ate a mediocre French fry with mayo and sauce. Paying a whopping €4.50. Wow, is that even possible!?!

So, for a better chip shop, it's gotten extremely expensive! The staff is absolutely not friendly!!! The table was usually cleared after the meal, but that wasn't the case today! I then went to the counter to say that I wanted to take some of the leftovers with me (wrap them up)? That was a given not so long ago! Not anymore! I got an unfriendly response: 'Is a small bowl enough?' I then had to wrap it up myself at the table!!! So, zero customer friendliness, and that for the prices! That was our last time there!!!!!!!!!

We were very satisfied, very good food, nice service and for a grill restaurant very nicely decorated (better than some restaurants), we will be back

We've always ordered from there. Unfortunately, we were very disappointed again. Second chance. The meat was overcooked and tasted like it had been reheated the day before. Hardly any seasoning. Unfortunately, we won't be ordering from there again. With prices these days, I want to eat reasonably.

It used to be really great. Back then, unfortunately. It's still cheap and trying to stay that way. Of course, the quality suffers. You can't blame Kawalla for that. They're just trying to survive. I'd rather pay more for the usual quality. Because they can make good gyros here, I know that.

I haven't been there, but I've been to Kawala for years. I ordered it for my birthday, and it was amazing, just like it always was, and it's still super delicious. I'd love to come back :)

The Kawalla plate was delicious and plentiful, the farmer's salad was top. Fast and friendly service. Good price. We ate on site. However, the clothes had to be completely washed afterwards.

(6 years ago:) Very tasty, but relatively small portions compared to other Greeks. Update after 6 years: (change from 2 to 4 stars). Had dinner at Kawala today (January 21, 2024) with my family (6 people). This time the portions were completely sufficient and generous. It was also very tasty. We paid a total of 102 euros (including drinks) and were all full (5 adults, 1 child). The service was 1a. I very rarely eat Greek food, but I am loyal to the family business and was already a customer when the restaurant was diagonally opposite (the building was demolished years ago). Best regards to the Kawala team.

My 'favorite Greek'. I still know the beginnings in the 80s, when Nico's parents still had the shop across the street. It's not just a simple chip shop, everything here, from the crispy fries to the meat to the salad, is simply delicious. And the delivery service is incredibly fast.

The food is good, but when it's full the whole thing becomes chaos. You get numbers that aren't important because people just ask everyone around for a telephone order without giving the number, then someone else speaks up and drops it after 15 minutes The fact that the finished food has been there all the time is unfortunately very uncoordinated, but the staff is generally quite nice and, when it's not full, they're very quick to help

Hello dear people, today I ordered a sovlaki plate and a cevapcici plate, the meat was good, the fries were raw and not edible plus 2 gyros plates that were not ordered on the bill, sry after corona the quality has deteriorated extremely for the supposedly high prices so for now I won't be there anymore order

I can't rate the service or ambience, I just ordered online via Uber. Unfortunately we were disappointed, such a tiny portion for €16… taste ok, not outstanding.

We were always satisfied but the price/performance ratio no longer fits..... Fries Currywurst Mayo nothing wild but 8 tiny pieces of sausage and a few fries on a plate where you think you have a children's sausage and a children's plate. Sorry but I'm out of it, there are others who offer the same thing and you get more for your money.

Family-run snack bar, clean and nice. Gyros plate was fresh and tasty, but the portion was manageable. The only thing that bothered me was that tzatziki came directly on the fries. I don't like cold fries. Tzatziki gladly extra. Tzatziki was very tasty.

Die Sauce von dem Jägerschnitzel ist sorry, schleimig und besteht fast nur aus dem "Einlegewasser" der Pilze, angedickt mit dunklen Mondamin 😝 Eine Frage: woraus ist euer Gyros gemacht? Das ist doch nicht aus Schweinenacken? Wir haben dort 1x Gyros bestellt und waren verwundert! Was ist das für ein Fleisch(zu 50% Hackfleisch?) Außerdem, wo ist der Drehspieß 🧐? Wenn ich Gyros bestelle, dann will ich auch Gyros, wie ich es gewohnt bin(dünne Schweinenacken- Scheiben aufeinander, knusprig am Drehspieß gegrillt) Daher ein No Go! Was ich gut finde ist, dass der Schnellimbiss, familien geführt wird. Es liegt zentral was die Kundschaft ausmacht. Das Ambiente ist ansprechend!

After a very long time, we wanted to order something for delivery from Kawalla Grill again. It was supposed to be two dishes and two fries, all via Uber Eats and with a tip of course. Ordering via the app, similar to Lieferando, works pretty well. After a while I got an overview that the food would be delivered in 30-40 minutes but in 90 minutes at the latest! OK. Unfortunately the order has not arrived now (160 minutes later). Unfortunately, the restaurant has now even suspended delivery via Uber Eats, so I can now neither get my money nor my order. Unfortunately, there was no notification of the delayed or unaccepted order. Just disappointing when you're hungry and don't get anything, but the money is gone. Uber Eats will now review the case and take action if necessary. It's a shame, that really annoys and disappoints me. In modern times, it is unfortunately necessary to react skillfully and skilfully...

I've eaten there so many times or picked it up and I have to say the gyros taste really good, so there was one day when it wasn't that tasty but it has improved a lot I think the price is okay there and you get a lot for your money
