Niiko - Sushi x Vegan in Leipzig

The food was not only excellent but the atmosphere was wonderful; the broth revived me after the morning's chill, and there's a unique tranquility that's well worth experiencing if you visit Leipzig.

I was here for the first time today and ordered the chicken ramen. It was very tasty and perfectly reasonable for the price. The dish was prepared quickly. The waiter was friendly. I'll definitely come again!

The appetizer, especially the soup, was delicious and made a good first impression. Unfortunately, this was followed by a major disappointment: We had ordered two main courses, one of which arrived cold. We sent it back to the kitchen. Regrettably, the employee neither apologized nor informed us how long it would take to prepare it again. Only after about 30 minutes did he notice that our food still hadn't arrived. Understandably, at that point, we just wanted to leave. Overall, this is a real shame, because the ambiance, the attractive presentation of the food, and the fair prices all seemed very promising.

Unfortunately, my visit to Niiko Asia Streetfood was disappointing. The atmosphere was rather unpleasant and uninviting, making me feel quite uncomfortable. The food was also nothing special – average in taste and lacking any particular finesse. The dishes seemed like they could easily be prepared at home. Overall, the visit sadly did not meet my expectations.

The restaurant looks very nice and the atmosphere is very pleasant, not too loud and not too quiet. The food itself is tasty, but unfortunately quite expensive for the portion sizes. €14.90 for a small (labeled medium on the menu) portion of fried chicken WITHOUT any sides like rice, which cost extra, seems like a rip-off to me. As I said, it was tasty, but too expensive. I probably won't come back.

Beware of the reviews: According to a small sign on the tables, the restaurant offers free drinks for Google reviews, which probably explains the many 5-star ratings. I ordered Bulgogi Gimbap as an appetizer. It was (too) much, but completely unsalted and tasted of absolutely nothing. It was very disappointing. For my main course, I ordered Chicken Bulgogi Bibimbap, but received beef instead. I was short on time, so I didn't complain. All in all, this dish also tasted quite bland. Incidentally, the place smells strange (not like food). I will not eat at this restaurant again.

They worked quickly on Christmas Day. The food was delicious and arrived quickly. The dining room was cold.

Ordered mostly korean food. It was delicious. We had the vegan kimbap, tofu bibimbap, miso soup and korean fried chicken. Everything was well prepared. I especially enjoyed the kimbap and would definitely recommend it. The miso soup takes second place. The staff was nice. The interior is nice and it is quiet and cozy.

The kimchi was exceptionally delicious – fresh, perfectly seasoned, and bursting with flavor. The atmosphere in the restaurant was very pleasant and inviting; you immediately feel at ease. We ordered vegan ramen and vegan pad Thai. The ramen was awful, especially considering the price. The pad Thai was okay, but nothing special. There are definitely better restaurants in the area.

We tried the Korean bibimbap and Japanese-style ramen and donburi. The seasoning was well balanced, not too salty or heavy, and everything tasted great. The staff were also very friendly and welcoming. Definitely recommended!

Unfortunately, the table was still very sticky, the service was rather unfriendly, we had to wait a long time to pay and be served, and the food lacked a decent sauce. However, I did like the lighting and decor, especially the neon signs. Overall, it was okay, but not recommended.

The meal of rice with chicken and soy sauce was okay, nothing special. You probably have to order a bowl or ramen for better quality. The portion of rice was a small hemisphere. Far too little for me as an adult man. If you want to lose weight, this is the place for you. I also ordered extra rice, but the price was exorbitant. I don't think it's good value for money. I won't be coming back and I wouldn't recommend it.

The food was okay. But the tea was an insult. I ordered a lemon tea with peppermint and received an instant, incredibly sweet lemon tea with three peppermint leaves. My girlfriend wanted a lemongrass tea and got a regular tea infuser, and you couldn't tell what else was in it. The staff didn't understand us, which was really unhelpful. The restrooms were filthy and so cramped, it was almost claustrophobic. We certainly won't be going there again.

A very pretty restaurant with delicious drinks (ginger-lime lemonade) and great Korean food (bibimbap tofu and cucumber salad). We got a table for four without any problems on Saturday at lunchtime.

The staff is very friendly and the portion sizes are just right. Unfortunately, they no longer offer sushi, only two similar dishes. Nevertheless, there's a very diverse selection, from gyoza and other finger food to ramen. The sodas are also delicious. I highly recommend this restaurant.

We had a lovely meal here at Niiko. The flavors were just what we were missing from living in Asia. We enjoyed the Bulgogi Bibimbap and Korean fried chicken (the regular serving size for the chicken was a lot, so think before ordering a large!). Our servers were very friendly.

Is good enough and worth the money. You have to wait at the entrance at first and the staff will show you where you can sit, depending on the number of people. We tried the Chicken Rahmen and it was good.

A very delicious three-course meal. - Appetizer: Seaweed soup (I'd never tried it before, but it tasted delicious and, contrary to expectations, only slightly salty). - Main course: Crispy fish with crunchy vegetables in peanut sauce; it was the crispiest fish I've ever had, also very tasty 😄👍. - For dessert, there was delicious ice cream. - Conclusion: If I'm ever in Leipzig again, I'll definitely stop by again, and next time I'll take photos 😉

I visited this place for lunch on a Saturday and enjoyed a Beef Bulgogi Bibimbap, which had a nice seaweed topping and a solid flavor. Some Problem arose regarding the multiple special offers that are advertised inside and outside of the restaurant. All special offers from the 3 course menus for 9,9 to the free lemonade none were eligible for the current day or order, which wasn't apparent from the advertisement.

Everything was great. The place is a bit small, but the food is delicious and the service is fast. We waited 20+ minutes for our food. They speak fluent English and German.

Since I am Japanese, this place and the food is moderate. It is not the best quality because of the workers, who are just not Japanese. But the atmosphere is very nice and the place is filled with Japanese traditional things.

Unfortunately, the service is unpleasant. You feel like you're being asked to eat quickly and leave quickly. The waiter has never even approached you to ask if you want to pay. This seems unprofessional when the restaurant isn't full.

I have to honestly say, ramen is simply tasteless; it has nothing to do with ramen. What really bothers me is that there are such good reviews, even though the food is tasteless and the prices are quite high. Please be careful.

The food tasted very good, but the service could have been improved. We waited over 40 minutes for our order, and the dishes were unfortunately served at different times. As a result, my food got cold while I waited for my companion. With better organization, the experience would have been truly outstanding.
