Unfortunately, it's not authentic and the craftsmanship is only okay. The order was also forgotten.

We tried the bibimbap, and unfortunately, it was the worst thing I've ever eaten. But maybe Vietnamese dishes taste better.

We've already eaten here twice and would (highly) recommend it. Accordingly, my rating fluctuates between four and five stars. First, the ambiance and service are truly top-notch. Even when it's busy, you can get a good seat and the service is quick and super friendly. The food ranges from solid to very good! The kimchi, the vegetarian gyozas, and the ttebokki were really very good. The vegetarian shrimp soup and the seaweed salad were good. The fried chicken, on the other hand, was just okay; there was too little sauce and it was too bony; you can get better options elsewhere in Leipzig. All in all, though, we'd happily come back. - 4.5 stars

Do yourself a favor. Get yourself some cup noodles instead

The restaurant has a cool concept. It serves the universally loved Japanese and Korean dishes that everyone should try at least once. I had the ramen and it was amazing!

We literally waited almost two hours for food – and in the end, it wasn't even that good. We had to remind the staff several times that we were there, and after an hour and a half, one of them said, "We're starting to cook now." The appetizers and one main course arrived after 10 minutes, and we ended up having to have the main courses packed up because we had to go home. Awkward service, even though it was busy, was unacceptable.

Great food, great location. I had the Korean Fried Chicken Teriyaki, which was so good I enjoyed it twice. Once while eating it, and once while I was vomiting up the raw chicken for four hours. 10/10 recommendation from TVW.

The food is delicious, the service is fast, the food is tasty, sometimes surprisingly spicy, which isn't advertised, and even a good eater might still be a bit hungry after a main course. For us, it was good. And there was even a special greeting from the kitchen.

A real insider tip! The Korean chicken was absolutely amazing – super crispy, perfectly seasoned, and incredibly juicy. The bibimbap was also a dream: fresh, delicious, and full of flavor. You can tell the heart and soul of the food here. The service was incredibly friendly, and the atmosphere was cozy. I'll definitely be back – I've rarely had such good food!

The food was delicious (the fried chicken was cooked a little too long in the pan, but otherwise it was great). Only the kitchen door is VERY annoyingly squeaky. It's just a snapshot, no doubt, but when we were there, the door squeaked EXTREMELY every time food was brought out of the kitchen. Otherwise, the staff was very friendly, and we would come back... maybe with a can of WD20 in our bag.

The two of us went to Niiko today. It's a beautifully decorated restaurant with a great ambiance. What particularly impressed us, however, was the staff, who were very attentive and courteous. The food was not only incredibly delicious—tofu bibimbap and matcha pana cotta—but was also prepared and served extremely quickly. Overall, a wonderful evening experience. They also have a good selection of vegan and vegetarian dishes, which we really enjoyed. We'd be happy to come back.

When there's an egg floating in the "Vegan Ramen" and they tell me it's vegan even when asked, I wonder how seriously the kitchen takes preparing vegan dishes. The greenish lighting doesn't really help the ambiance, even if the service is very friendly.

I've been there several times (unfortunately), and every time it's been the worst sushi I've ever eaten. Once, even the rice wasn't cooked through, which was really not tasty. I can't recommend it (especially for the price) :(

The restaurant looked very nice at first glance. It was very cozy and invitingly furnished. However, the toilets weren't that clean. The toilet paper was on the floor and the soap was empty. It was also very cold, as was the entire restaurant. When we got the cards, a pad with a pen was given to us and we were told to take our own food. After a very long wait the food came. The vegan sushi was very sweet and rather mushy. The other non-vegan food was probably forgotten and only brought after we asked (cold). !Unfortunately no recommendation!

Vegan sushi was quickly made to take away. I had been enthusiastic about my previous visit - but was disillusioned at home: the black rice was so overcooked and sticky in consistency that it was unfortunately not sushi-worthy. The white rice was better, but again very overcooked. It's a shame - because the taste itself is good.

Very cold rooms for winter temperatures. There are two restaurants in one room, we booked for Neotast at Niiko Sushi, and when we asked, we were told that we were in the right restaurant. It was only when we ordered that we were told it wasn't Niiko Sushi. A proper explanation was not possible due to language problems.

We were here for dinner, eating sushi. We were briefly confused because we had to go to the other part of the store to eat vegan suhsi. We were able to order quickly and chose the surprise platter. We were not disappointed! A good variation with all possible roles. There was something from everyone. As a starter we had miso soup. It was delicious, as were the homemade drinks we ordered. Overall, the food was very tasty, but it could have been a little cheaper. For dessert we had the sesame balls. We had to wait a bit until we were allowed to order these after the sushi. That's why there are only 4 stars for the service. It would have been nice if someone had asked us on their own initiative and we were looked after more. There were also only a few tables occupied. The restaurant was really nicely decorated. A small deduction in the ambience, as there was a strong smell of the deep fryer and grease in the whole store. When I'm back in Leipzig, I'll come by again :) I can recommend this shop ❤️

We had read the first (good) reviews here and that's why we went there. When we arrived on site, we initially wondered for a while where exactly the entrance was, because there wasn't one. Just one to a directly adjacent, omnivorous Vietnamese restaurant, on the corner of the building. After going around the "two" restaurants twice and waiting for a while, someone finally came to the outside counter and, when asked, told us that the entrance to the other restaurant was the corresponding entrance. So we entered the omnivorous Vietnamese restaurant and discovered: Niiko vegan and the other restaurant was actually one inside. We only had to wait a very short time until we were assigned a seat and said that we wanted to eat vegan sushi. We were then assigned a table at the very back in the passage area of ​​the sushi kitchen. So we sat down - after squeezing our way to the back between the extremely narrow tables - and soon received the menu. It was from a Vietnamese restaurant - and totally dirty. After we had only sat down because of our original plan to eat there and because we were very hungry, even though the first impression when we walked in (totally cluttered, uncomfortable, narrow, stuffy, not entirely vegan) caused anxiety, the dirty menu was there The straw that broke the camel's back and we left the place again - without eating there. So I can't say anything about the food. But I wouldn't like to eat there because of the space - and as a vegan, I expected a purely vegan restaurant based on the name. Disappointing.

The sushi selection is very small. Seems more like a snack bar than a restaurant. There's really not much that's vegan when it comes to advertising vegan. I mean, if you want to eat vegan, you're not well advised here

We were there while passing through and would eat somewhere else next time. The Neotaste app offers a discount of €10 for orders of €25 or more. This was not accepted, supposedly only for sushi. But that's not what it says. Ambience could be better. All these waving cat figures get annoying after a while. The music doesn't fit the restaurant either. The food was okay, but nothing special for the price. However, it was expensive.

The worst sushi roll I’ve ever had. It’s pricey yet the quality is bad. The sushi rice is way too soggy. The tempura shrimp is still raw. Please do not order any sushi.

My buddy discovered Niiko restaurant on NeoTaste and suggested we give it a try. At first I was skeptical as to whether vegan sushi could taste anywhere near as good as "real" sushi, but I gave it a chance. We were at the restaurant at lunchtime. The vegan sushi really surprised me in a positive way. The rice was perfect in consistency, neither too dry nor too sticky. The crunchy roll was actually very crunchy and the vegetables were very fresh, as you can see in the pictures. Definitely recommended in terms of taste. Next time we would just like a little more cream cheese in the sushi. As drinks we chose a lime soda and a lychee juice. Both were also very good. However, the lime soda was too sour for my friend, while I really liked the taste. But that is a question of personal taste. The service was also friendly and accommodating.

The service was very confused and unprofessional. Some of the sushi was quite tasty. The avocado in the sushi was brown and mushy. Overall, it's a pretty relaxed atmosphere and far too expensive for what's on offer. That was probably the last time. Before the two restaurants next to each other were merged, things were significantly better.

The food was OK, but not outstanding. The sushi selection was surprisingly limited for a sushi restaurant, more wok and soups and noodle dishes. I didn't feel particularly well.

The sushi was really delicious and so were the lemonades. The service can be improved, but we didn't have to wait long for the food. Asians (in this case probably Vietnamese) are actually used to the prettier way the dishes are presented. Definitely recommended as a vegan option and also for everyone who isn't vegan like us but just wants to enjoy creative sushi.
