OUAI - Simply Vegan in Leipzig

Das Essen ist echt lecker und auch nach 3 Portionen Tapas war ich echt gut gesättigt. Der Riesling war echt gut und passte super zu den asiatischen Aromen. Der Service ist nett und flink. Jetzt aber auch noch Kritik: Kartenzahlung ist möglich, allerdings wohl erst ab 80€. Wir waren zwei Paare und haben 131,60 € auf der Rechnung stehen gehabt. Auch paarweise hätte es also nicht gereicht. Glücklicherweise kennen wir uns gut und haben kurzerhand die Rechnung komplett mit Karte gezahlt und teilen uns das dann selbst auf. Aber die Grenze von 80 € entspricht ja nahezu einer Verweigerung Kartenzahlung zu aktzeptieren zumal nirgends dazu ein Hinweis zu finden war. Heutzutage ein totales No-Go und wir werden aus diesem Grund leider nicht wieder kommen.

Wir waren zum Abendessen hier und waren mehr als zufrieden. Die Auswahl der Gerichte ist wirklich hervorragend vor allem für die Größe des Lokals. Die Wartezeit für das Essen war maximal 15 Minuten und alles hat sehr gut geschmeckt. Kulinarisch auf fast auf Fine-Dining-Niveau für einen Preis von max. 25€ pro Person. Auch einen sehr günstigen Mittagstisch wird angeboten. Insgesamt absolute Empfehlung!

Überteuert und definitiv nicht der beste Service. Außerdem kann man nur bar bezahlen, was unseriös und unpraktisch ist.

Zunächst einmal ist das Essen wirklich gut, aber leider sind die Portionen klein. Wundern Sie sich also nicht, wenn Sie nach zwei Stunden schon wieder Hunger haben. Dafür sind die Preise viel zu hoch. :( Es ist wirklich ärgerlich, dass man unter 80 € nicht mit Karte zahlen kann! Bringen Sie also am besten Bargeld mit, bezahlen Sie über PayPal (!) oder besuchen Sie eines der anderen tollen veganen Restaurants in der Nähe.

​Geschmacklich top, aber die Portionsgrößen enttäuschen ​Das Essen war wirklich sehr lecker und geschmacklich hervorragend. Auch der Service war super fix – die Gerichte kamen extrem schnell an unseren Tisch. ​Leider gibt es ein großes Minus beim Sättigungsfaktor: Die Portionen sind für die aufgerufenen Preise schlichtweg zu klein. Obwohl wir uns vorab eine Vorspeise geteilt haben, sind wir beide nicht satt geworden. Für ein rundum gelungenes Erlebnis stimmt das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis hier leider noch nicht ganz.

Wir haben zu zweit sieben Tapas Gerichte (aus einer Auswahl von ca. 24) geteilt. Das Fazit war leider durchwachsen - 4/7 Gerichte haben uns super geschmeckt, die andern drei waren leider maximal mittelmäßig. Wir würden trotzdem noch mal hin gehen um die anderen Varianten zu probieren. Unbedingt sollte man die hausgemachte Limonade Green Lantern probieren, die war super! Was den Service & das Ambiente anbelangt waren wir nicht ganz überzeugt. Die Kellnerinnen waren freundlich, wirkten aber sehr gestresst. Dadurch gewannen wir mehr den Eindruck von Imbissabfertigung statt Restaurantbesuch.

Leckere Tapas, absolute Empfehlung

Tolle Leute, sehr leckere Wraps. Ich war unsicher ich mag Wraps,aber keine Falafel, ich habe dann die Nummer 1 incl. Falafel genommen die waren perfekt ich sage euch ganz ganz lecker. Da muss ich unbedingt wieder hin wenn ich in Worms bin...

Absolut köstliches Essen, frisch zubereitet und mit einem Lächeln serviert. Die Inhaber arbeiten unermüdlich und haben ihren großen Erfolg redlich verdient. Die Preise sind zudem sehr fair. Unbedingt ausprobieren!

Ich habe das Essen in diesem Restaurant probiert, und es war wirklich geschmacklos, und die Preise waren höher als in anderen Restaurants, in denen ich gegessen habe. Ich war auch nicht beeindruckt; die Atmosphäre war nur durchschnittlich, nicht besonders ansprechend.

Überteuertes, geschmackloses Essen. Das Mango-Lassi war okay, das Essen war zwar nahrhaft, aber sehr fad. Kein Geschmack.

Von Anfang bis Ende total stimmig und man merkt, dass das Konzept gut durchdacht und auch vom Service an die Gäste mit Herz vermittelt wird. Das Essen war ein absoluter Traum, ebenso der Service - ich werde definitiv wieder kommen!

Über eine Stunde gewartet und dann am Telefon die Aussage bekommen, dass man „nicht sagen kann, wie lange es noch dauert“, weil wegen einer 50%-Aktion über 100 Bestellungen reingekommen sind. Ganz ehrlich: Wenn man solche Aktionen fährt, sollte man auch in der Lage sein, den Andrang zu bewältigen – oder zumindest realistische Lieferzeiten angeben. Stattdessen wird man einfach hingehalten.

Der Nachttisch war besonders gut. Nicht zu groß Portion und liegt nicht schwer im Magen. Sehr Empfehlenswert.Favorit: Lazy Banana

Bestes Veganes Restaurant, dass ich kenne.

Eine super Erfahrubg, super leckeres Essen, sehr freundliche Servicekräfte. Besonders empfehlenswert ist die hausgemachte Limonade mit Apfel, Limette und Minze. Ich komme gern wieder! ^^

Schönes Lokal, aber das Essen war eher enttäuschend und geschmacklos. Vielleicht habe ich einfach die falschen Gerichte bestellt? Die Auswahl auf der Speisekarte fiel mir jedenfalls schwer. Ein paar Bilder vom Essen wären hilfreich. Humpty Dumpling – Der war gut (mit etwas Chili in der Soße wäre er aber noch besser gewesen). Tofu im Schlafrock – Die Soße war okay, aber etwas langweilig. Insgesamt eher mittelmäßig, würde ich nicht nochmal essen. Knusprige Garnelen – Zu viel Panade, langweilige Soße, nie wieder. Hähnchenflügel – Zu viel Panade, sonst hat man nichts geschmeckt, nie wieder. Ich habe auch ein Hauptgericht probiert, weiß aber nicht mehr genau, welches. Es war eine Art Wokgericht mit Tofu, Seitan und Reis. Das Gemüse war lecker, aber die Soße war sehr mild und hatte einen komischen Beigeschmack, der mir nicht gefallen hat. Mein Begleiter fand es aber gut. 🤷‍♂️

Alle Gerichte haben gut geschmeckt, aber vor einigen Jahren waren die Gerichte mehr anspruchsvoll (z.b. Backartoffeln). Überbacken Bannane als Desser ist sehr lecker und zu empfehlen.

Vegane Asia Küche, so lecker! Weil es so gut war, sind wir drei Tage hintereinander zum Essen gewesen! Preis/Leistung/Service top! Jederzeit wieder, wenn wir Leipzig besuchen!! Mein Lieblingsgericht war Long-Life!!

Sehr leckeres Essen, insbesondere die Tofu Roll ist sehr zu empfehlen! Auch die Limos waren lecker (Milky Cloud!).

Ich gehe mit meinen Freundinnen richtig gerne hierher – vor allem, weil das Restaurant ganz in der Nähe unserer Arbeit liegt. Für die Mittagspause ist es einfach perfekt. Wir nehmen fast immer das Lunch-Menü, und das ist wirklich unschlagbar: sehr günstig und gleichzeitig unglaublich lecker. Die Gerichte sind frisch, aromatisch und machen angenehm satt, ohne schwer zu sein. Man merkt, dass hier mit Liebe gekocht wird. Auch das Team ist total herzlich und aufmerksam – man fühlt sich sofort willkommen. Besonders cool finde ich die originellen Namen auf der Speisekarte, das macht das Ganze noch sympathischer und bleibt im Kopf. Einziger kleiner Minuspunkt: Man kann nur bar bezahlen. Aber abgesehen davon ist wirklich alles top. Klare Empfehlung!

Da ich Tapas liebe und es selten welche mit asiatischer Küche gibt, bin ich auf dieses Restaurant aufmerksam geworden. Wir haben 4 verschiedene Tapas und 2 Portionen Reis bestellt und sind gut satt geworden, es blieb sogar ein bisschen was übrig. Das Restaurant ist gemütlich und alles ist perfekt: Von den Getränken über die Tapas bis zum Dessert! 😍 Auch der Service war super, die Bedienung war total lieb. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder! 😊

Der erste Besuch in einem veganen Restaurant und es war perfekt. Entspannte Atmosphäre, ganz unaufgeregt, liebe Mitarbeitende und das Essen war extrem lecker! Ein Volltreffer. Hauptspeise 34 fand ich am leckersten und alle anderen von uns bestellten Gerichte stehen dem in nichts nach! Und die Limonade "lemon tea" (ich glaube so heißt es) war sooo lecker! Delicious food made with seasonal produce. The portions could be a tad bigger, but overall a great atmosphere, wonderful staff, and very tasty dishes.

My meal was exceptionally delicious, everything was delicately spiced, the ingredients were obviuosly fresh and of high quality. The interior is welcoming and cozy. The only problem I ran into was the fact that you can only pay with card if you spend at least 80€, so I had to run out to withdraw some cash.

Incredible Vegan food. Came today for lunch, ordered two starters, two mains, two drinks, both were insanely good, an explosion of beautiful flavours. They were also very accommodating with garlic-free and onion-free dishes. Only 25€ per person. We were so surprised. Amazing experience 😍

I went there with my husband and we were unfortunately a bit disappointed. I found the portion size too small for the price. The taste was okay, but nothing special. At first, I was also served the wrong dish. That can happen in busy times, but there were only two other people there at the time. The restaurant is nicely decorated, but the music was too loud and there was a very loud machine running on and off (a juicer? I'm not sure). This made it difficult to have a conversation. On the plus side: The food arrived super fast.

The restaurant has a very nice and cozy atmosphere. The music isn't too loud, and you can easily have a conversation. The staff are attentive and very friendly. The wait for the food was a maximum of 15 minutes, and the portions were generous! ☺️ The price-performance ratio is also excellent, AND you can conveniently pay via PayPal. Really delicious food. But apparently they only accept card payments over €80, however that works out.

It was disappointing. The food looks fantastically appetizing on the website. When it arrived in reality, the food bore little resemblance to the photos. The taste was okay—but nothing special. The homemade lemonades are neutralized with a lot of ice. Even though we had made a reservation, the table was sticky and dirty. There were wasps everywhere. The service was friendly, but nothing more.

Today we went to OUAI and were thrilled. Five delicious tapas (they also serve main courses), along with rice and rice noodles; everything was fresh, plentiful, and perfectly seasoned. The homemade lemonades were excellent. For a centrally located, completely vegan Asian restaurant, the value for money is truly outstanding. Highly recommended!

Everything was fine except dark light in restaurant

Unfortunately, we were very disappointed with the service today. The wait was very long. Our drinks didn't arrive until after the appetizers... the staff seemed more concerned with takeaway orders than with the in-house guests. Anyway, we did manage to get something to eat.

The noodles with peanut sauce and the mango smoothie were so delicious, wow! And not that expensive!

We spontaneously dropped in at OUAI last night. Without a reservation, on a Saturday evening at 7 p.m. It was accordingly packed, and they were bringing in additional tables from outside. It's also a testament to the restaurant's popularity. We found the restaurant via Neotaste and immediately took advantage of the special offer. It's an Asian, vegan restaurant. The menu is simple yet contains everything you need. The dishes were very tasty. The ingredients in each dish were harmoniously combined. The waiters were friendly, accommodating to our requests, and in a good mood despite the rush. Although our first visit, it definitely won't be our last!

Delicious vegan food that's well worth the price. Friendly service and a pleasant atmosphere. Even after the third visit, it's still delicious and satisfying.

The service was very sensitive to when we needed more time to choose or when we wanted to sit in peace. Absolutely fantastic! We felt truly at home and were so spoiled with culinary delights! Especially if you're vegan/vegetarian, you're sometimes disappointed when you eat out, but not here! The food was very varied, well-seasoned and seasoned, beautifully presented, everything was fresh and so delicious 😍 Our absolute favorites were the Lucy Juicy Lemonade, the Green Lantern Shake, and all the tapas. We could have tried more tapas 🙃 The Berry Dream dessert was also great. We'll definitely be back 🧡

The food and drinks (we had Spice it Up / The Hulk and Udon Know Me / Forever Young) were truly delicious and very reasonably priced. Unfortunately, the downside was that card payments only accepted €80!, and despite a confirmed reservation, there were no available tables. We were told there were 40 more reservations coming up, so it would take a very long time before we got a table. Despite the cold, we sat outside; at least they brought us a blanket right away.

Wow—I don't know what else to say. Everything was perfect here. A super nice place where you'll enjoy spending time, great service, and the food was absolutely exceptional and very, very delicious. I haven't seen this kind of reinterpretation of Asian cuisine anywhere else before. I really like the concept of small dishes; it allows me to try more. And I would have loved to order the whole menu. This certainly won't be my last visit to OUAI.

Further proof that vegan food can be delicious even for non-vegans. The food is very good and not too expensive. The service is fast and friendly. I'd happily return.

I was here for the first time yesterday and unfortunately I was pretty disappointed. The choice for vegans or vegetarians is extremely limited. There is only mango, peanut or sweet and sour sauce, all quite sweet. Hearty, umami-focused dishes are completely missing. My dish (tofu with sweet and sour sauce and udon noodles) was flat in taste, the vegetables were more reminiscent of typical imperial vegetables than of Asian cuisine. For 15 euros I would have expected much more. In total I paid over 25 euros and was simply dissatisfied. Unfortunately, the restaurant is not a good place for a conscious, plant-based diet. Looks good from the outside but unfortunately a flop in terms of taste.

We were particularly impressed by the incredibly friendly service and the spicy marinated tofu. If we're back in Leipzig, we'd be happy to do so again.

Very good authentic cuisine and a highly recommended lunch menu.

Had dinner here, relatively short on time but that wasn't a problem because the service was extremely fast, really great! We had the gourmet block with us and it wasn't accepted because it was quite full, it's apparently online but it wasn't obvious to us, a bit poorly done... We still had a nice meal here, the selection was amazing and it was really a taste experience because the different components all had their own great taste🤩 The limos were particularly special! Why there isn't a 5⭐️ from me: My food wasn't declared spicy at all and as a person with stomach problems it was just a bit too spicy :( In addition, the service was unfortunately a bit cold and the atmosphere was very hectic, which is of course partly understandable! We will still come back because you get really tasty stuff here for fair prices :)

I recently ate here with my family. Very easy to reach from the city center. The atmosphere is very inviting and immediately gives you the feeling of being in Asia. The staff and owners are very dedicated and customer-friendly. We all enjoyed the food, especially the children. I wish the entire team many happy guests who will recommend the place to others.

Yes. A very good restaurant. Unfortunately we had seats right at the door. So we spent the whole evening trying to close the door. Unfortunately it was not possible to change places. Our requests were ignored. Nevertheless, everyone was very friendly.

The food is amazing and I definitely recommend trying the HomeMade Lemonades. I had the one with rice milk and it was super tasty! Go for it! The only reason I did not give a full 5 star to the service was the fact that you can pay with card BUT only above 80EURs which is invonvenient for many. But if you have cash aand are in to try delicious vegan compositions, this is the place to go 💚
