Nievenheimer Steakhaus in Dormagen

We went there for the first and last time. Anyone who actually wants a good steak should definitely avoid this place. There are three doneness options (rare, medium, and well done), but my steak was somewhere between rare and well done and had obviously been sitting around for a while. The accompanying fries were soaked with meat juices and consequently mushy, and the sauces had developed a thick skin. If I didn't know better, I'd say the Béarnaise sauce was from Lucullus and the cream sauce was a mix from a packet. The mayonnaise comes in a handy little sachet... All in all, a complete disappointment for everyone present. The person who invited us was also really embarrassed. Just the day before, we'd been to a high-priced steakhouse, so the disappointment felt even greater. The restaurant itself is more like a converted attic apartment. Anyone with mobility issues or who uses a wheelchair is out of luck, as there are only two flights of stairs. Everything was very worn out, and the plates felt like they hadn't been washed in a while.

It may not be a cutting-edge, high-end restaurant, but it's authentic. The prices are family-friendly, the portions are more than generous, and the food is delicious.

It was so delicious that I came back for dinner the next day.

I can recommend this restaurant for the food alone. But only if you're not necessarily looking for a modern restaurant.

We've eaten here many times. The food has always been good to very good. The restaurant is cozy and quaint, if a little dated. The outdoor area is beautifully situated. The staff is generally very friendly, but sometimes a bit overzealous – for example, plates are sometimes cleared too early. We also occasionally had to wait quite a long time to be served, even though waiters were present. Unfortunately, some of this time was spent more on their cell phones than with the guests.

We've been here many times and always enjoy it. The service is very friendly, small special requests are easily accommodated, and most importantly, the food is always delicious. The steaks are always delicious, but other dishes are also highly recommended. We'll definitely be back!

We were last here many years ago. Unfortunately, this visit wasn't a good experience. We waited about 10 minutes for our first drink, which then felt like it was just over the limit. We had to get the menus ourselves because they couldn't be served in the next 10 minutes. The sauce for the kids' pasta and the pepper cream sauce were very thin and practically nonexistent. The rest was okay.

We've been regulars for over 10 years and have never been disappointed. The steaks are of excellent quality. The service is always very friendly and courteous. Even with several people, the wait times are short. We've recommended this steakhouse to several friends, who were also impressed. It's especially nice when you can sit outside in the patio. We'd love to come back soon.

The steakhouse has changed dramatically for the worse. The steak I ate wasn't fresh. The meat had been in the freezer a few times. The menus were covered in mold. The prices are exorbitant for the quality. The good times for steakhouses are unfortunately over. What a shame.

We've been there several times. Sometimes it's great, sometimes it's not so good. I can recommend the meat skewer. I think it's better outside than inside.

We were able to sit outside in pleasant temperatures, which we enjoyed. My sirloin steak with jacket potato and salad was beautifully tender and cooked to a perfect medium. And at under €20, it was more than a fair price.

The food was extremely disappointing. It took about an hour and a half for the food to arrive and then it was a real disappointment. I was really looking forward to an Argentinian beef fillet with chimichuri. In my opinion the meat isn't the best quality. I ordered it medium and it was still raw inside, I even had it cooked again. The chimichuri was some kind of orange paste that had absolutely nothing to do with chimichuri. You should just look up a decent chimichuri recipe on the internet because what we got was anything but chimichuri. The only good thing is that we live right around the corner, nothing more. For the price of 2 people and a child (€70) it was a real letdown. Sorry but it (once again) wasn't good. We've been there before and it wasn't good either. We thought we'd try again but that was the last time.

The steaks were very good! The service is also friendly, quick and reliable. The food and drinks arrived cool and hot, even though the place is very very confusing. The distances from the kitchen to the table are sometimes quite long.

I had the goose breast today. The “delicious goose sauce” was the frying fat, lots of it. The “homemade potato dumplings” were bought and there were two unglazed “glazed chestnuts”. Don't even get me started on the marzipan apple. The only positive thing was the tender goose breast. Unfortunately without a crispy skin, it was drowned in fat. Big disappointment! I always look forward to the St. Martin's goose, but certainly not here again!

Einen Abend vorher haben wir auf TripAdvisor geschaut, wo man mal hingehen könnte. Durch den Vorschlag sind auf das Nievenheimer Steakhaus gestoßen. Am nächsten Tag um 17 Uhr angerufen ob noch ein Tisch für 4 frei wäre an einem Samstag Abend. Kein Problem 18:30 Uhr können wir da sein. Am Restaurant angekommen, muss man als nicht ortskundiger erstmal einen Parkplatz finden. Das Restaurant, ja was soll man sagen. Ist urig und könnte mal eine Renovierung bekommen. Personal ist freundlich und wir denken das es ein Familienbetrieb ist. Getränkewünsche wurden aufgenommen und schnell gebracht. Die Speisekarte ist groß. Hört sich aber alles lecker an. Nur die Karte könnte mal ein Sanierung bekommen. Alles auf einheitliche Blätter drucken mit gleichen Schriftarten. Das essen war sehr lecker und alles wie bestellt. Hier können wir überhaupt nicht meckern. Preis Leistung zum Essen passt. Wir können dieses Restaurant wirklich empfehlen und würden uns freuen, wenn die Eigentümer / Pächter hier und da mal etwas renovieren würden oder einfach mit der Speisekarte anfangen.

The food was good. I had the grill pan with pork and beef fillet in pepper cream sauce and vegetables. The quantity could have been a little more. The restaurant is very nice. There was bread as a starter and tiramisu cream as a dessert. The service was okay. Unfortunately, drinks were not replenished. All in all it was good. The price was 38 euros which is completely okay.

We really enjoy coming here. The food is always very tasty. The side order of fries could perhaps be a little more. The waitresses are always very friendly. Points are deducted for the waiting time for food. This should be quicker, especially when children are sitting at the table. There is a further deduction for the ambience. There is too much in the themed area... it doesn't look so nice when you enter the restaurant. The flower boxes in front of the restaurant could also be decorated with more care and there is a lot of decoration in the upper area. Sometimes less is more :-). We still really enjoy coming here. The citizens are always very tasty

Die Steaks und die Beilagen waren grundsätzlich lecker, meine Frau und ich sind keine Vielesser, aber beider hätten noch eine zweite Portion gebraucht um satt zu werden. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich, allerdings haben wir einen Salat ohne Dressing 3 mal bestellen müssen, damit dieser auch wie gewünscht kam.

The steaks were super tasty. The meat was fried exactly as ordered. We just waited a very long time for the food. The prices are very high when you compare comparable steak restaurants. The atmosphere takes some getting used to. There are different decorations everywhere. There are all sorts of things lying around in the checkout area and there are pieces of paper stuck to the wall everywhere. Hawaii motifs on the walls and everything was kept quite dark. It's nice to sit outside.

Food excellent, quantities good and sufficient. Service very friendly and accommodating. Waiting time for the dishes was a bit too long. The menu could have been distributed directly with the drink order.

Time on a summer Sunday at 5 p.m.: What a shame, the restaurant was highly recommended. The waiters seemed overwhelmed by the sheer volume of customers, the kitchen served lukewarm food and the bacon cheeseburger tasted like onions and meat. The outdoor ambience consists of a combination of artificial rattan garden furniture and wooden surfaces with peeling paint. In general it seemed disorganized and not recommended. What should be positively highlighted is the steak quality and the preparation, which was on point.

Great steak with great side dishes!

Looking for an alternative because we couldn't get a seat in our regular restaurant, we "landed" here. Food and service were very good. A small drawback - the menus could be redesigned because they look strange with different fonts and designs. And in the checkout area you can look for another solution and not stick everything you can (pieces of paper with the dishes and numbers) on the wall. Finally, my highlight: I don't like eating baked potatoes because the cream usually doesn't suit my taste. Here I ate the potato before the meat.

We were still hungry after the fair and got a very good steak platter for two people relatively late (after 9 p.m.). The meat was really very tender and well seasoned, special request for a vegetable side dish and only beef was no problem. The ambience inside could be a little better, but ultimately ok. The staff was very friendly and accommodating.

Prices are okay, but the restaurant is getting old and could do with a renovation.

Leider ein wenig enttäuschend! Nach den guten Bewertungen im Netz wollten wir am 2 Feiertag das Steakhaus auch mal testen. Man hätte uns besser gesagt das alles schon voll ist und wir wären dann lieber ein anderes Mal gekommen. Den Platz dem wir erhalten haben (7 Personen) war so eng, das ich seitlich in den Stuhl rutschen musste, damit ich überhaupt sitzen konnte. Und leider ging es 5 Personen von 7 so. Es war sehr warm im Lokal und wir mussten zu Beginn 15 Minuten warten bis man uns gefragt hat ob wir was trinken möchten.... Die Karte war wohl wegen der Feiertage verkleinert worden. Kein Problem, jeder konnte trotzdem was finden. Das Essen war gut, aber jetzt nicht soo toll das man unbedingt nochmal hin möchte. Zu guter Letzt wurde noch eine Cola über eine Fleischplatte verschüttet.... kann passieren, aber das Personal war schon sehr am Limit und man hatte das Gefühl, dass das Personal froh ist wenn die Feiertage vorbei sind. Sehr schade!

Wir haben gestern unsere Weihnachtsfeier mit allen Mitarbeiter im Steakhaus gefeiert. Alles ist gut gelaufen, von der Vorbestellung über die Küche bis zum Service. Danke an das Team und die sehr engagierte Inhaberin. Sie haben insgesamt zu einem gelungenen Abend der Kanzlei beigetragen.

Ich war dort zum ersten Mal und ich bin sehr zufrieden und satt nach Hause gefahren. Eine tolle Auswahl an Steaks , aber such andere Gericht gibt es auf der Karte. Argentinische Hüftsteak in Pfeffersauce mit Folienkartoffel hat meine Wahl getroffen, siehe Bild. Ich habe es englisch bestellt und auch so bekommen. Und der Preis ist echt akzeptabel. Der Service war sehr gut, schnell, aufmerksam und immer präsent ohne aufdringlich zu sein. Die Räumlichkeiten sind in die Jahre gekommenen, aber man sieht das man sich Mühe gibt, das man sich.

Waren in großer Runde dort und der Service hat problemlos alle mit Getränken versorgt und auch das Essen korrekt aufgenommen. Das Essen an sich war sehr lecker und preislich unschlagbar. Vor allem wer ein Steakhaus mit guter Preis Leistung sucht wird hier sicherlich fündig, bei höheren Ansprüchen an Ambiente würde ich wahrscheinlich woanders hin gehen.

Ich war mit der Familie dort essen und es hat uns überaus gut geschmeckt! Wir hatten sehr gute Steaks und leckere Beilagen dazu. Die Chimichurri war sehr hervorragend.

Das Steak war sehr lecker. Alles andere eher traurig als gut. Trotz zweimaliger Korrektur das falsche Salatdressing, die Beilagen fad und insgesamt zu wenig um satt zu werden. Der Aperol Sprizz war lauwarm und stark verwässert. Das Ambiente ist nicht existent, hier darf gern nachgearbeitet werden.

Essen: super lecker, die Bohnen ein Traum,die Bratkartoffeln kross,das Rindersteak etwas zu durch,das restliche Fleisch perfekt gegart und zart. Geschmacklich nicht zu übertreffen! Man hat den Eindruck es steht zu viel rum z.b. Blumentöpfe (vielleicht stehen die im Sommer draußen),ansonsten sehr schönes Ambiente.

Ein sehr gutes Restaurant mit ausgewählten Speisen, sehr zu empfehlen. Biergarten ist vorhanden. Preis Leistung stimmt

Leckeres Essen, Steaks, Burger und Filet sehr gut und auf den Punkt gegart

Nach vielen Jahren immer wieder Spitzenqualität auf dem Teller! Ist leider kein Geheimtipp mehr, manchmal bekommt man spontan keinen Tisch! 09.2023 die Karte wurde erweitert, viele Gerichte aus der Pfanne und verschiedene Salatteller mit Lachs und Fleisch. Leider gibt es keine Gorgonzola-Soße mehr zum Rumpsteak!

Wir saßen an einem Samstag Abend draußen. Die Tische waren gut besetzt. Das Personal etwas überfordert, war zu mindestens mein empfinden. Wirklich willkommen fühle ich mich nicht. Die Speisekarte ist riesig. Eigentlich zu groß, Kann man mit so einer großen Karte frisch kochen? Der Cheeseburger mit Pommes, einem scharfen Dipp und einem ganz kleinen Salat war lecker

Netter Service und schnell. Leckere Gerichte, gute Auswahl. Werden dort noch öfters essen gehen. 👍

Sehr leckeres Essen zu fairen Preisen. Auch die Bedienung war sehr freundlich und aufmerksam.

300gr argentisches Steak bestellt, was aber wesentlich kleiner war. Erklärung dazu war, es wird vorher gewogen, da ich aber desöfteren Steak esse, bin ich mir durchaus bewusst welche grösse hier vorliegen sollte. Der Wunsch zu bezahlen wurde erfolgreich 25min ignoriert, so dass ich selber zum Tresen gegangen bin

War wie Biergarten Schön im Sommer Essen war gut aber nicht überragend Preis Leistung sehr gut Wäre die Anfahrt nicht, würden wir regelmäßig wieder kehren

Wie die Räumlichkeiten sind, kann ich nicht beurteilen. Der Außenbereich ist äußerst gemütlich und ruhig gelegen mit Brunnen und kleiner Grünfläche anbei. Ich hatte eine Spargelcreme Suppe, Preis und Menge OK, heiss war sie auch. Allerdings sehr dünn und nicht cremig. Geschmack durchschnittlich. Meine Partnerin wählte einen Mozzarella Basilikum Salat der auch nicht besonders frisch und lieblos angerichtet war. Die Bedienung war allerdings absolute Katastrophe. Unaufmerksam, Lahm/Gemütlich, komplett Unorganisiert und auch nicht die freundlichsten. Nachdem wir noch ca 25 Minuten auf die Rechnung warteten, ist meine Partnerin rein marschiert um zu zahlen. Insgesamt war das notenmäßig nicht mal ausreichend.

Das Essen war gut. Der Preis hielt sich gerade noch im Rahmen. Doch die Bedienung, war leider etwas langsam und hektisch. Schade.

Wir waren an einem Sonntagnachmittag dort und konnten draußen sitzen. Es ist etwas merkwürdig so offen auf dem Platz gegenüber des Gebäude zu sitzen, aber es war nicht viel los auf der Straße. Der Service war gut. Ungewöhnlich, dass Inder ein Steakhaus betreiben. Die Preise sind günstiger als in Köln. Aber die Qualität auch entsprechend geringer. Insgesamt aber ok. Das Steak sah so aus, dass es eine Pfanne gesehen hätte - mir fehlten Röstaromen. Die Pommes waren etwas wenig, die Kräuterbutter könnte besser sein. Der Crêpe zum Nachtisch war lecker, kein TK-Produkt. Das Bier war sehr lecker! Wiederholung zum Steak essen eher unwahrscheinlich.

Super leckers Essen 😊 Selbst wer keine Steaks möchte wird hier fündig. Sind hier regelmäßig und immer super zufrieden. Auch der Service ist aufmerksam und freundlich.

Gemütliches kleines Restaurant auf dem Land zwischen Köln und Düsseldorf. Sehr nettes Personal, super-leckeres Essen. Ich bin positiv überrascht worden und komme gerne wieder!

Das Essen war günstig und in der Preis-Leistung OK. Ich denke, dass viel mit fertigen Produkten/ Saucen gearbeitet wird. Die Sauberkeit und die liebe zum Detail war nicht gut.
