Unfortunately, the service during the meal was absolutely outrageous. At the beginning, they asked whether you wanted meat, fish, or vegetarian. However, for the main course, I, as a non-fish eater, was served meat and fish in my bowl, while a friend, as a non-meat eater, was served meat but no fish. The last time I ate fish, I immediately vomited – so the mistake wasn't funny. When we reported it to the service staff, there was no apology, just a comment that they would "correct" it. The two bowls were secretly rearranged and swapped by hand in the kitchen, so I got my friend's bowl and she got mine, although some meat was still fished out here and there. Leftover food, such as pepperoni stems, were still part of the bowl. A disgrace for such a fancy-as-nails restaurant with a menu price of €90 without drinks. Food safety aside, the way they handle their own mistake is absolutely unacceptable and unworthy of a restaurant. Every bistro around the corner has better error management.

Surprising, overwhelming, impressive... reveling in beautiful memories... In a spectacular setting, we embarked on an impressive journey through the culinary world. The menu consisted of exceptionally well-chosen dishes, perfectly prepared and lovingly served. The designation "gourmet menu" is more than deserved. The service was exceptionally friendly and very attentive – thank you very much for that! The guided tour, with its wealth of interesting and entertaining information, is also highly recommended. We would love to return.

The space and architecture are impressive, even if the spatial feel only partially matches the exterior impression. The short tour and presentation were entertaining. The details of the surface design, interior, and construction were fascinating. Unfortunately, the menu did not live up to our expectations. We had the impression that everyone in the kitchen was allowed to contribute one component to each course, but that these did not necessarily have to be coordinated. Most of the courses were cold, which was not really in keeping with the time of year (autumn/September), and came in small dishes, so that we ate with a small spoon except for the main course. Less decoration and more space on a plate would have improved the presentation of the dishes. The service was consistently friendly and personable, but there were errors in the naming of ingredients and general uncertainties in the presentation. We abandoned the initial idea of giving the dinner to friends or family. Perhaps we'll try again next year.

NOT ACCESSIBLE The Sphere was planned and implemented as a “canteen extension”. Only a short time after it was opened by the Saxon Prime Minister, it was converted into a public restaurant, although the location was NOT barrier-free. People with limited mobility are slowed down at the first step of a sweeping staircase! Unlike the food, which is transported to the guests' tables using a "sophisticated elevator system", there is no elevator for guests. The suggestion to retrofit the location with a stair lift does not seem worth considering to the crane builder. The owner, however, did not respond to my inquiries as to why the legal regulations were deviated from in the new catering building. No politician, no authority, no press and no award givers have so far been bothered by this discrimination The Ministry of State praised the “sphere” in the highest tones and, in place of the builder, also explained in detail why and why it was not possible to intervene in the “cubature” of the monument for reasons of monument protection. The building itself integrated wonderfully into the cubature. The internal stairs obviously did not bother the architects and builders. In a final sentence from the lead official there was still room for regret that in our “INDIVIDUAL CASE” a visit to the restaurant was not possible. Not only our friends who rely on a wheelchair are excluded, but MILLIONS of people with limited mobility in Germany alone. The homepage misleadingly states that there are wheelchair-accessible seats! There is no indication that the restaurant is not barrier-free. The owner's credo, as he himself stated at an award ceremony, is him I know “no boundaries except the sky”. People with limited mobility, on the other hand, are mercilessly excluded! They don't even seem worth answering to the Leipzig crane builder, who is a national and international presence as a lover of architecture and a patron of the arts. In my opinion, the privately built spherical extension and design by the renowned Brazilian architect Niemeyer is an architectural masterpiece, but with its conversion into a publicly accessible restaurant it is also a prime example of ignorance and exclusion of disabled people.

Great atmosphere. Unique architecture, but with little view of the whole of Leipzig, but rather of the warehouses and production halls. Great idea to create a place for gastronomy with predominantly regional products! Service top. The 8 course menu was unfortunately very small in quantity, very unusual and alternative. A bit too experimental for us, like the vegan fish and seafood plate, and therefore not quite a hit in terms of taste. But what we have to give great credit to is that any food intolerances or preferences are taken into account here: whether vegan, vegetarian, no fish, lactose or gluten-free - everything is possible here! We had a lovely evening, even if the price-performance ratio wasn't quite right.

A strange location, the restaurant in the Niemeyer sphere is probably already closed again. You should book an expensive multi-course meal online without being told at any point what you're actually eating. An email request to reveal the food secret was not answered. What kind of gastronomic concept is this?

Eine beeindruckend bereichernde Sehenswürdigkeit für Leipzig ...liebevoll Kosmonautenhelm.... wahrscheinlich einzigartig in seiner Form und Nutzung (Gastronomie)... unter ihr befindet sich die Werkskantine mit einem sehr guten Mittagessen...

Als Teilnehmer einer privaten Veranstaltung durfte ich an diesem außergewöhnlichen Ort einen wunderschönen Abend verbringen. Die Sphere mit der großen Glaskuppel bot immer wieder neue Ausblicke und schöne Lichtspiele und Spiegelungen. Auf der Außenterrasse konnte noch ein Regenbogen bewundert werden. Das Essen war sehr abwechslungsreich und bestand aus 14 Gängen, die nacheinander serviert wurden. Aus südamerikanischer, europäischer und deutscher Küche wurden Köstlichkeiten mehrerer Vorspeisen, Hauptgerichte und Desserts serviert, die Bekanntes und Unbekanntes kombinierten.

I've never experienced worse and more unpleasant bartenders than at Buben. A bar like this stands or falls with its bartenders, and whoever came up with the idea of hiring those two guys shouldn't be surprised if the place is no longer doing well. It's a real shame; two years ago, it was my favorite bar.

This place was ridiculously expensive. The employees thought it would be better not to work at all, because I easily stood there for 10 minutes for my €9.50. The ice cream tasted decent, but not for such an exorbitant price.
