Newdelhi Indisches Restaurant & Bar München in München

We happened to be in the area and were hungry. After some online research, we chose this Indian restaurant. The ambiance was great... soft Indian music playing in the background. The staff was very friendly. We tried the house Indian tea to try something new. We received a small appetizer with three different dips, which were explained to us. Then we ordered the butter chicken. Beautifully presented and quite quick. The taste was divine... the tea we ordered with it was a perfect match... it was heavenly. To finish, we were given a complimentary mango lassi, which was absolutely delicious. We come from Straubing, which is unfortunately too far away, but we will definitely be back. Thank you and Namaste 🙏🏻

Super amazing place to have an Indian food in Munich. I happened to order chicken Tikka biryani - and order came lightning fast. 10 mins and food was on the table. Taste was really authentic and you won’t feel that you are consuming Indian delicacy outside India. The server were gentle. Upon leaving they offered the delicious Lassi and that was cherry on the top. Moreover it was complimentary. Food 5/5 Staff 5/5 Ambience 4/5 Service 5/5 Menu 5/5 Rates 4/5

We ordered from New Delhi restaurant but the food was an incredible disappointment. Chicken Tikka Masala had nothing to do with the dish - have you ever been to the UK? Naan bread was like a chewing gum and fries likewise. It took about 30 minutes to deliver but I can't imagine that was the reason. Dahl was the only half acceptable dish. I don't quite understand the positive reviews.

The restaurant is run by the same owner as the nearby Bollywood. The food and service are exemplary. The ambiance is modern and cozy. You can also sit outside and always find a spot.

Good, fresh food, discreetly friendly service, very pleasant, modern atmosphere. This impression has been confirmed over more than 10 visits. I can't comment on the occasionally criticized meat quality, as we only eat vegetarian. For us, it's the best Indian restaurant in Munich.

The delivery guy was quite nice and sweet. Hence the tip. Also, the butter chicken was 10 out of 10.

The welcome was very friendly, as was the service. I was there in the afternoon, outside of the usual dining hours, primarily because other Indian restaurants were already closed at that time. Everything tasted delicious, and special requests were accommodated. The wait time was reasonable. I did deduct one star for the ambiance, but that's simply a matter of personal taste. Everything was clean and attractively decorated, but I personally prefer a cozier and slightly brighter atmosphere (no, it's not dark in there!).

One of the best Indian restaurants I’ve eaten in Germany so far!! The taste and specially the spice, took me straight to India. Also Prakhar’s service was really good, he truely knows how to talk to guests and host them which is very important. I recommend everyone who comes to Munich should have food here.

First of all: We ate well!!! BUT: Why aren't we allowed to sit wherever we want? No reservations, plenty of free tables. Was the walk from the kitchen too far? Secondly, we were very disappointed with the drink selection. No wine, no cider... we didn't ask any more questions and just drank a Coke. Who knows what else was missing. Knives were only available upon request. A tip: It's not a street food stand, but a restaurant. You can expect a bit more.

No reservation was necessary during the week around 6 p.m. We received a very friendly welcome. The food (including chicken korma) was excellent, as was the ambiance. Highly recommended.

Today, for the second time, I picked up two vegetarian dishes there myself. Very tasty, finely seasoned, and the spicy food is really nice and spicy, just as it should be. I found the service extremely friendly; I received a small lassi after a short wait; the atmosphere was cheerful. We'd love to come back and eat there sometime. Really good Indian food!

We had a wonderful Sunday lunch at this Indian restaurant! I chose the chicken biryani for the first time – simply delicious! I ordered it "medium spicy," which was quite spicy by German standards 😄, but that's exactly what made it so exciting. The flavors were wonderfully balanced and intense – you can really taste every single ingredient. I also particularly liked the yogurt with mint, cucumber, and a pleasant spiciness – a perfect contrast to the spicy main course. The start was already promising: We were served warm flaxseed bread with three different dips, all delicious in their own way. To finish, we had a mango digestif that was wonderfully fresh and fruity – a lovely way to end the meal. An all-round successful experience – we'll definitely be back!

The food was truly exceptional—probably the best Indian restaurant we've ever been to. Starters, main courses, and the accompanying breads were all excellent. The flavors were delicious, the portions were large, and the prices were fair. Highly recommended!

A lovely little restaurant! The food arrived in just a few minutes, and the staff was attentive and friendly. I ordered butter chicken, which was delicious. The appetizer came with three different small sauces and a small piece of bread for free. As a little surprise, I even got a free mango lassi at the end! All in all, I highly recommend this restaurant!

Didn't get a chance to visit the restaurant, but ordered a soup from Wolt and it was delicious. Though I must add that I was charged €1 for cutlery was sent only a small spoon. That was unfair.

We cannot understand the recommendations of others for this restaurant. The food was the most tasteless we have ever had at an Indian restaurant. The waiter offered to spice the food with hot or Indian spices, which we happily accepted, but unfortunately the food was still bland and tasteless and simply seemed as if it had been reheated. The chicken soup was like a milk soup with a hint of chicken. The lentil soup was quite okay. The lamb dish with spinach was not seasoned; overall, it was a disappointment. The waiter only spoke English. After our glasses for the main course were already empty, no one offered to bring us new drinks. We were not even asked if we enjoyed our food. The restaurant was empty at 8:00 p.m. on a weekday. The staff ate at the back of the restaurant, so guests sat in front of dirty plates for more than five minutes before they were cleared away. We will not be visiting this restaurant again.

Best Indian restaurant! And I've tried many! This one just has that certain something :) The service is always excellent too – everyone is really friendly! Since the restaurant is very large, it never feels crowded or too loud…very pleasant!
