The food is very good. Everything fresh and of good quality. I really like coming here because of the large selection of beer. There are all kinds of beers from Lower and Upper Franconia breweries here. Only the older service could be a little friendlier.

Had a company Christmas party there. Pre-ordered food did not come as ordered. The drink orders didn't always come either. One of the colleagues was even cooled down with a drink by the service. When it came to paying I said more than rude, I got a tip but cash! Then I say that unfortunately I don't have any cash in my pocket. So totally pissed off, aren't we worth a tip? And I'm supposed to ask my employees for tips! Which is out of the question for me, we also don't ask our customers for tips. And if the food is not as ordered or even satisfactory and the staff is sometimes unfriendly, that is not recommended for me and not worth a tip. If I hadn't negotiated it, if you wanted to give a tip, we would have preferred it, otherwise we would have to pay taxes on it, etc. But asking for it and asking for it is a no go for me

Food was quite good. Service is a bit dry in its own way, but it's okay. What's less nice is that the Christmas window decorations were removed and the windows were cleaned during Christmas dinner. Didn't do the Christmas spirit any good.

We were there for the 1st time. The girls are very nice and friendly. Our special request for food was immediately fulfilled. Simply gigantic, we can only recommend it and we will be back.

Good Franconian cuisine, portions could sometimes be a bit Franconian. Good selection of Franconian beer, including Kreuzberg beer. The beer garden invites you to linger and is very cozy. In my opinion, a closed day on Sunday is not acceptable in this industry. The parking spaces must be shared with residents.

As always, we were very satisfied. Friendly service, delicious food and I think the prices are relatively cheap. I don't understand anyone who complains. I can't understand some of the recessions here either. Sometimes you may need to do a little work on yourself (as a guest) before you try to change others. Absolutely recommended.

If it is a problem to order savoy cabbage instead of red cabbage for food that will be picked up in 2 weeks, then that is not a service! Furthermore, the reception in the restaurant was anything but friendly! I felt like more of a nuisance! Then there is a discussion about whether orders for Christmas are still being accepted even though I was with you 3 days ago and asked. It wasn't a problem to order until a week before Christmas. I wish you and your service staff (with one exception!) a speedy recovery! However, you won't see me in your restaurant anymore!

The rustic wooden beams creak with every step, and the atmosphere is so cozy that you almost expect grandma to be there with freshly baked food at any moment Bread comes around the corner. But let's talk about the Kreuzberg beer. A beer so delicious that even the most critical beer connoisseur falls silent in awe. The gentle note of malt and the tangy freshness make every sip a little feast for the taste buds. Now to the waitresses: They are the real treasure of this house. One might think that “Franconian mood” is a code word for “slightly grumpy and wonderfully direct”. The way they chat (or rather chatter) with the guests could easily come from a Karl Valentin sketch. No matter whether you hear a cheerful story about the last sow hunt or get unexpected advice about your love life, it never gets boring here. The experience is rounded off by a menu that is bursting with down-to-earth delicacies. From hearty Schäufele to the legendary Käsespätzle – there is everything your heart (and stomach) desires here. In short, “Neue Schranne” is not just a restaurant, it is an adventure. An evening here is like a funny chapter from a local novel. So if you want to enjoy good beer, laugh heartily and be enchanted by the Franconian soul, you should definitely pay a visit to this rustic gem.

We were in the new Schranne yesterday for a family celebration. We have never experienced anything like this. It was previously agreed that the table would be beautifully set. Nothing was done except that there were plates on the table that we didn't need because we all ordered our food in advance and they came straight from the kitchen. They then asked for an extra 45 euros. The highlight was that when we paid we were immediately asked for a tip. That was really outrageous. You don't ask for a tip, of course we would have given the waitress something, but we didn't even get around to it because that was asked for in the total bill. I've really never experienced anything like that. We were very disappointed. This restaurant is really not recommended.

Ohne vorherige Reservierung haben wir noch zwei Plätze bekommen . Es war sehr viel los. Wir wurden nett bedient und extra wurde ein Essen , von der Chefin , auf Wusch meiner Begleitung zusammengestellt . 👍 Das Essen war sehr gut sowie die Atmosphäre .

Very nice little restaurant with a large selection of beers and some very tasty dishes. Daily specials also available depending on the day of the week. Unfortunately the website was a bit confusing and I couldn't tell when there was which dish.

Attentive and friendly service. Classic Franconian cuisine - lots of meat. Unfortunately, vegetarians can only find salad, Obatzder and cheese spaetzle. The women's toilet is clean and renovated. Unfortunately, entering and leaving requires a narrow stomach, legs and buttocks or a strong tuck in of the stomach. What bothers me personally and is also not allowed - there is NO allergen labeling on the weekly menu! The dishes on the basic menu often have 5 or more key figures next to them!! Even the schnitzel with “homemade” (!!) potato salad has key figures next to it, including preservatives!! .... This also applies to salads, which can only mean that the dressing is industrially produced and/or salad ingredients are not fresh. It's a real shame for this lack of inner quality... Because the numerous guests enjoy it. Apparently they don't have any problems with their digestion (yet). The price-performance ratio should actually reflect more of the kitchen's personal skills. The beer garden is pleasant and cozy and invitingly lit in the dark.

The food came very quickly and was super tasty. The service was very attentive. Unfortunately, the tables are a little too close together so that you can hear everyone else's conversations.

Very well-kept environment with real hospitality and an authentic Franconian ambience. There are even foreign beers 😉 Highly recommended.

We were there for dinner with 4 people. I celebrated my 50th birthday. After a very warm welcome and a tasty monastery beer, there was a delicious snack platter as a starter. In the main course we had different dishes. All dishes were on point. The steak was perfectly cooked and after politely asking, the potato was replaced with spaetzle. After a few more rounds of monastery beer we had a nice dessert. We were very very satisfied. Conclusion: nice service, great food, great beer selection and normal waiting times for the food to arrive Thanks for a nice evening! B. Müller

We really enjoy going to the “Neue Schranne” and I love the oven-fresh Schäufele and the Bamberg roast pork (which is available on Mondays). The salsify vegetables or savoy cabbage also taste absolutely delicious. 😋. And the dumplings anyway 😉 The inn is beautifully and rustically furnished, with bare wooden tables (just like I love in a cozy Franconian inn). There is also a great selection of beer fresh from the tap 🍺, especially the monastery beer. The friendly service makes the visit perfect. So don't hesitate, just go in. But leave me one more Schäufele ☺️

Durch ein Schild beim Eingang zum Garten wurden wir aufgefordert hier zu warten, da uns ein Tisch zugeteilt werden sollte. Nach einiger Zeit habe ich mir erlaubt in der Gaststätte nachzufragen, ob und wann wir den Tisch mit 5 Personen zugeteilt bekommen, da sich kein einziger Gast im Garten befand. Dann ertönte die unfreundlich und bösartige Antwort aus der Gaststätte einer für meine Begriffe garstigen älteren Frau, wir brauchen uns nicht zu setzten und sollen den Garten der Gaststätte sofort wieder verlassen. Freundlichkeit hat dort absolut keine erste Priorität und wir werden die Wirtschaft garantiert nicht mehr betreten!

An absolutely beautiful place, very cozy and quiet. The typical Franconian food is very tasty and of excellent quality. The same applies to the selection of beers and wines. The reliability and friendliness of the staff should also be emphasized. You just feel good. A little tip: It's better to reserve in advance, because the Schranne is very busy. Rightly so!

Had roulade, the best I've ever eaten, delicious, the sauces were a dream. Only the dumplings, well, who makes them themselves these days? I don't want to evaluate that here.

Was there at 5:45 p.m. Many tables were free. I should still sit at the table with strangers. Also very unfriendly service. I've been to many restaurants across Germany, but it's never happened to me that you're treated like that as a guest. Never again!

This restaurant is hands down the most unfriendly and disorganized I have ever eaten at. It is not recommended for families with children as you will be falsely accused of causing damage to the table that you did not do. These accusations are not expressed in an appropriate tone, but are literally shouted at in front of all the guests. I have never experienced such rudeness in any other restaurant. The service staff also seems very disoriented and you are constantly given the wrong drinks. Even the steaks that I ordered medium were not cooked properly. Therefore I cannot recommend this restaurant under any circumstances.

The food is of very good quality and can be recommended. However, vouchers without a date of issue will no longer be accepted. My voucher without specifying a date or validity was from the Corona period and therefore a little older. However, my friend is now a monthly guest (before Corona, weekly with a volleyball group) and yet the voucher was not accepted, but was classified as too old due to the lack of a date and no digitization in the system and was informed that it was only valid for 6 months back then (no information given). on the voucher) would have been valid. Unfortunately, we had always forgotten the voucher. For this reason, the tip is to redeem the voucher immediately after purchase. It's so easy to lose a guest and perhaps also a group that comes over regularly and leaves a tip.

Update! €13.70 for a pair of bratwursts with sauerkraut is almost cheeky... Unfriendly service! The food was mediocre and the portions were a bit more filling. As requested, a little more detailed. We were 1 more person than registered. When we then took a chair from an empty table, it was more or less pulled out from under us later on the grounds that it would be needed for other guests. When I asked if there was another chair, the answer was an unfriendly NO! A little later a drink fell over. By chance the waitress came by at that moment. When I asked for a cloth to wipe up myself, I received another unfriendly NO. After a short discussion, the second waitress reluctantly brought a rag and threw it at our feet.

On a 6-hour journey I decided on this inn because I was hungry for a Franconian Schäufele. I entered the restaurant, which was completely empty (!!) in the front area, sat down at a table and was immediately asked if I had made a reservation. I'm sorry, what? I was then asked to sit in the next room because “there is no light on at my table.” Mind you, it was May 28th, 2024 around 7:00 p.m., and it was daylight outside (and in the room). So I went into the next room and sat at a larger table that was assigned to me. Looking ahead, since I was passing through and wanted to move on quickly, I took the "worst" corner seat at this table so that any other guests who would probably stay longer could sit in the better window seats. I got my beer and waited. Some time later one of the two ladies came with my plate in her hand and rather rudely asked me to sit at the back of the table so that a few more people could sit with me!? If one person sits at a table of 6, what does it matter where I sit? I didn't sit in the middle of it all, but I had the foresight to choose the least attractive place so that other guests could stay seated better and longer. So, puzzled, I sat down, got my food and made sure I could get away. By the way: the gentlemen didn't sit down at my table because minutes later another (and soon after even several) table(s) became available. The two waitresses were told that they had better take a tutoring course for good behavior. Because RESPECT and DECEPTION require that you first ask a guest whether you want to seat other guests at their table (which is generally not a problem for me, which is why I sit alone at a large table with foresight). Furthermore, you can be glad that I was hungry, still had a 3-hour drive ahead of me and wasn't in the mood for a riot that evening, otherwise I would have left the money for the drink on the table and you would have your food alone can eat up. The Schäufele and the dumplings were quite good, but not a culinary highlight that one could overlook the service in this establishment. If these ladies were waitresses, the manager of the house should have a word with them. If you are the owner yourself, I recommend that you reflect critically.

Located between two streets and almost inconspicuous from the outside, this gem is hidden. The menu is small and that's a good thing. The quality was good and everything tasted great. The service was good and lots of extra sausages were made for our little son. All in all a very successful evening. There is also a beautiful, small but nice outdoor area.

Rustic pub, the meatballs with mountain cheese were extremely tasty and I've never had them like that before. A hay schnapps was almost forced on me, even though I preferred chirp schnapps. In the end, however, I unexpectedly received my chirp schnapps and was therefore completely satisfied 😊
