The Nessebar restaurant is an absolute insider tip! The furnishings are very tasteful and convey an authentic, cozy flair. The food was simply excellent – ​​fresh, tasty and prepared with great attention to detail. The selection of traditional Bulgarian dishes is impressive, and the flavors exceeded my expectations. The service was also friendly and attentive. I highly recommend this restaurant and will definitely come back!

I went for dinner with my family and I was really satisfied. The restaurant is located in the center of beautiful Markkleeberg. And it is easily accessible from Leipzig. Both outside and inside it is very atmospheric and cute, quaint Bulgarian, with comfortable seating. The owner is welcoming, very kind. And he carefully assisted us both in choosing the drinks and the specialties to eat. The choice of drinks and specialties to eat is very varied, from appetizers to desserts, and the quality of the ingredients is excellent. In short there is a menu of the highest quality, even for the most demanding palates. Don't miss the shopska salad, güveç and spaghetti, which are cooked al dente like in Naples. They are truly exquisite. We will happily return!

When we were looking for a restaurant located in the south of Leipzig we found this wonderful place. The food was incredibly delicious. I hope we return soon!

Went there yesterday on October 19th, 2024. Very nice, rustic restaurant. It immediately reminded you of Bulgaria. The food was super tasty and plentiful. Very nice boss. My mother's 80th birthday was celebrated in a wonderful institution. 15 people, four generations and everyone really liked it. The atmosphere resembles a Ukrainian koliba. Very tasty and friendly. It's like visiting home.

Doesn't have much to do with Bulgarian food. Ordered garlic bread with grilled vegetables. There were hardly any vegetables. The omelet we ordered was hardly seasoned. Salt and pepper were only available upon request. And then the salt shaker was empty. Instead of the drink we ordered, another one was served. So it had to be replaced. There were no napkins on the table either. The prices in the Nessebar restaurant are unreasonably high for this type of guest service. I cannot recommend this restaurant

It was definitely an unexpected surprise. The ambience, food and service attitude of this store are all impeccable. I especially like their soju. My parents came to Germany for the first time, and they commented that the service attitude of the restaurant owner was much better than that of the local German restaurants they had eaten at. I was very impressed by the atmosphere at the beginning... great outside, small and cozy inside. However, it is very dark in the back area. I think it's a shame when you order a drink from the menu and a few minutes later you're told that it's not possible because everything was drunk yesterday! Sorry, that can't happen! Something's not right...The service can be improved a lot! Actually the customer is king... The food itself was delicious, but I wasn't familiar with the amount of "raw onions" in the pasta dish. When I said this afterwards, there was a stupid comment from the waiter... I could have said it sooner! It was the first and last time I ate here, I've never experienced anything like it!

I'm a gourmet type and looking for authentic gastronomy, praise to the team of the really cozy, very friendly and competently run restaurant; for me it was a tastefully tempting journey into Bulgarian cuisine with highly recommended dishes; Among other things, my favorites in the evening were Schapska with cheese and chicken / cheese wedges with fries and wonderful pancakes with apple sauce. It creates a feel-good experience that you rarely experience.

We made a reservation for 18 people 3 weeks in advance (It's closed on Mondays, supposedly open for us) There wasn't a cocktail as advertised on the menu because too much of it had already been drunk the day before. Drinks intake was a disaster, I think he was slightly overwhelmed with 18 people who, by the way, didn't sit together at one table but were spread out over 4 tables. Drinks were stale and tasted stale. Food absorption was just as bad as the drinks All the food came individually and there was a waiting time of about 60 minutes. It's a bit disappointing if not everyone can eat at the same time. The waiter, who also happened to be the cook, was very rude and unsympathetic. Therefore, a second visit will definitely be ruled out by all of us. The supposed 5 stars in almost every review is unclear to me, really. PS: very overpriced for what you get.

At first glance, very nice atmosphere. Unfortunately, service can be improved very much. Chaotic order, ordered a small drink and received a large one. When the circumstance was mentioned, the only response was “then just drink half of it”. Typical Bulgarian drink ordered, only to find out that there was only enough for two because there were so many there yesterday. When asked if one could please have some salt, the answer was simply "have you ever tasted it?" replied. The waiting times were also very long. Of course it takes time to prepare dishes for 20 people, but if 10 people are already finished while 5 have nothing yet, that's stupid. Especially when four dishes come and the last one has to wait AGAIN 15 minutes until the food comes. Every now and then we were told that if we wanted something to drink, we should come to the kitchen to order. And when a comment comes about the long waiting times, you are told stupidly that they are making everything fresh. As if you needed to say extra thanks for that. And when we said that we would each pay individually, the innkeeper gossiped about it to other guests. The prices were also high. Starters all around 10-14€ is not exactly appropriate. Bruscetta was OK, but not earth-shattering and not huge for €13.80. It was definitely the first and last time there.

Were here because of the very good Google rating! Expectations fully met! At first we stood in front of a locked door, but don't let it deter you. The owner came and opened the small garden door for us. With a lot of love for detail and ear Rüscher Arenfels, right on the passage, invite you to linger. The choice of food is sufficient and includes hearty Bulgarian dishes. If you like meat, this is the place for you. Crispy, slightly burnt on the grill, exactly my taste. We also had garlic bread and bruschetta, both of which were also very good. We also tried the cucumber soup. An absolute recommendation, especially on a hot day like today 👍 Definitely come back.

When we arrived the gate to the restaurant was closed. There was a “closed” sign on the gate. However, there were guests sitting inside who we then spoke to. After a while the innkeeper came out and let us in. We didn't fully understand that the gate was closed, because the only consequence was that we were repeatedly asked by subsequent guests whether it was now open. The ambience, however, is great. Everything was beautifully decorated and the toilets were also very clean. The food itself was good, but very expensive for what it was. We still enjoyed it. The portions were very large. The service was also very friendly. All in all, recommended if you don't mind the price.

On Saturday, my colleagues and I visited a restaurant serving Bulgarian cuisine and I want to share my impressions. From the moment we entered we were greeted by a warm atmosphere and friendly owner. The interior of the establishment was decorated in traditional Bulgarian style, which created a special feeling of comfort and immersion in culture. The menu was varied and I had a hard time choosing a dish as everything looked so delicious. I tried the shopska salad - it was fresh and very tasty, with perfectly balanced flavors. The main dish is Balkan Grillteller, which amazed me with its rich taste and aroma. Top notch service. There was no need to look for a place, since we had an appointment. Overall, it was a wonderful experience and I would happily recommend this Bulgarian restaurant to all lovers of delicious and authentic cuisine. Will definitely come back here again!

The selection was large and there were many typical local dishes. These came freshly cooked and served hot 🔥 to our table. Overall, the portions were very generous and we were all completely full. The owner was very friendly and accommodating, despite the full restaurant, and fulfilled all of our requests promptly. We all went home, big and small, with full bellies and happy.

We arrived unannounced on a Sunday afternoon. Met an extremely pleasant staff with whom one could easily converse in a relaxed manner in English. We sat outside in a pretty and charming patio. The food served was absolutely superb and the price was good. Super place to have dinner and have something good in a glass.

The food is generally very fatty and the portions are relatively large, including the starters and children's portions. Unfortunately there was mustard in the dressing for my salad, but that's a matter of taste.

This is definitely the best restaurant in town! Authentic German food and beer 🍻 made my short stay here wonderful. I will definitely come here again if given the chance. It's like sitting in the garden having a meal, the atmosphere is full. The decor and taste of the plates are unique. Because the menu was in German, I couldn’t quite understand it, so I told the boss directly that I wanted to eat fish and drink beer, and he said that I could leave it to him. I was really surprised. I didn't expect it to be so delicious. The fish was tender, fresh and slightly chewy, and the combination of potatoes and seasonings was just right. Anyway, it's delicious. Everyone had different dishes - everything was very tasty. The ambience is nice, the location in a great residential area. We will definitely come back next time we are in Leipzig.

We became aware of the restaurant by chance. And were very excited. We know Bulgarian cuisine from our many holidays in Bulgaria. And we immediately felt like we were on holiday. Everything freshly prepared and delicious. The food is worth its price. The three of us had the large antipasti platter for two. Then the steak platter, the farmer's breakfast and, for dessert, the chocolate tart. If it wasn't too far from us, we would come by more often. We were all very happy with the ambience, food and friendliness.
