Neretva Grill in Berlin

We're finally back in Berlin after four years. We were curious to see how our favorite Croatian restaurant had changed: Luckily, not at all! We just had a fantastic and affordable meal there!!! We'll definitely go back at least once more during our stay in Berlin!! The quality and freshness of the food were superb, the prices very reasonable, the service friendly, and the atmosphere lovely!!! Highly recommended!!!--- Today we were there again: Perfect again, great food again, and superb service!!!-- Yesterday we ate here for the third time during our Berlin visit! I can only say: See above!!!! We're already looking forward to our next visit to Berlin and to Neretva! Update from October/November 2024: We were back in Berlin again and ate at Neretva all four evenings: Nothing has changed, everything was perfect and delicious, just like last year! The service was once again superb and personal, the food was fresh, and special requests were handled with ease. The value for money is excellent, and the portions are generous. We really like the atmosphere there! We'll be back and are looking forward to it! ... Stay just the way you are! A bit old-fashioned, but still good! The food and service are what you'd expect from a Balkan restaurant, but nothing extraordinary. In summer, it's pleasant to sit on the large terrace.

We were there with 28 people for our silver wedding anniversary. Everything was beautifully decorated. The service was more than excellent. Our guests were also thrilled. We were already familiar with the restaurant and were always satisfied. We have only good things to say and will visit again and again.

World-class service, very friendly. Upon request, they conjured up two vegetarian dishes for us that weren't on the menu: baked feta cheese, potatoes, grilled vegetables, and salad. We enjoyed them immensely.

Absolutely outstanding restaurant — if I could give it six stars, I absolutely would! Everything here is flawless: from the impeccable cleanliness to the speed and warmth of the service, and of course, the superb quality of the food. You can immediately tell how much care goes into every detail — even the double tablecloths, something almost impossible to find in Germany, and always spotless. The meat is phenomenal, cooked to perfection every single time, and the prices are incredibly low for what you get. The staff deserve a special mention: they’re consistently friendly, fast, and genuinely attentive, no matter the time — whether you come early for lunch or for dinner, the service is just as flawless. This is without a doubt one of the best meat restaurants in Berlin.

I've been a regular for years. The quality is always consistent. The service is always good. The meals are plentiful.

We were just about to eat there with five people at 8:50 p.m. on Sunday. We were rudely turned away, told the kitchen was closed. So why is it open until 10 p.m.? Why is there no notice saying the kitchen closes before 9 p.m.? Everyone is talking about a restaurant crisis right now, which is no surprise.

I highly recommend this restaurant. Great waiters and very good food. I really enjoy going there.

So far, a solid restaurant. The food is always plentiful. Many dishes come with salad. However, since the new management, they've been cutting corners. The salad used to be filled with beans and corn. Now there's only cabbage, iceberg lettuce, cucumber, and a tomato. The beans and corn have made all the difference here. Additionally, the prices have been raised and portions have been reduced. Still, it's worth a visit. The service is always friendly and up for a joke. Paul stands out in particular.

The waiter could be friendlier if you want something but don't have one thing and ask if you can have something else. A smile would bring in a bigger tip 😉

We ate here for the first time today and we really enjoyed it. Very friendly and attentive service (a dish was served on two plates for our little granddaughters!) The food was also very tasty and the prices were moderate. We will definitely come back to eat here more often.

This restaurant has been going strong for years and has been a permanent institution there for ages, with many local residents being regular guests. The rooms are quite large, the furnishings are no longer as up-to-date but comfortable, everything is clean, including the toilets without any complaints. In summer you can sit outside under a good roof. Very large selection of dishes, I rarely go there, but so far everything has been good, except that they sometimes seem to use ready-made sauces. But otherwise everything was freshly prepared, the portions were, in my opinion, a little more economical for a Croatian, but sufficient, it doesn't always have to be an overloaded plate. It's also a bit unusual that the dishes come to the table without any garnish, there's something missing for the eye, which is a shame, otherwise all the dishes are in the middle price range and okay. Parking spaces are very limited and for a fee, you don't have to take a ticket on the weekend!

Friendly, homely atmosphere. Staff were all very nice and interacted in a friendly and warm manner, whether it was answering our request for a dish recommendation or speaking to my small kid. The menu has something for everyone and the portions are generous. Looking forward to trying some more dishes from their menu.

The food was good and the meat was well cooked. The salad beforehand was a bit carelessly prepared and the canned corn was tasteless. You can eat something there without any unpleasant surprises. People who are good and enjoy cooking themselves will be able to prepare food at home to the same level.

As a (regular) guest, we received excellent and individual service as always! Had a seasonal dish with lots of fresh asparagus, which really had no “woody pieces”. Goulash for an appetizer is excellent, salad, one of the best and tastiest barbecues I've had, meat prepared just right. Kudos to the chefs and the hospitable owner.

Today I had an impossible experience. Normally I eat there more often. Unfortunately there is a new, very unfriendly cellar. I shouldn't come back because I once paid with small change. What's the point? Very very unfriendly man. He doesn't even own the restaurant

Was there with the family on Easter Sunday. The food was good but could be better. The waiter was nice at the beginning when it got full, I ordered a coffee and was then complained about why I hadn't said so earlier. I found it very rude and dishonest. Otherwise the visit was ok.

We had a wonderful experience at this Croatian restaurant. They kindly accommodated our party of 12 even though we called last minute. Luckily, there was still room on a Thursday evening. The food was served quickly and was delicious. The drinks were fresh and cold, which was a nice touch. As a bonus, we were treated to shots of slivovitz. It was heartwarming to see a whole family working as waiters and in the kitchen. Overall, a great dining experience that we will definitely be returning to.

For several years we have always had our Christmas dinner here with our bowling group and it was always good! Everything tastes good and the prices were still moderate in 2023!

After a friendly greeting we were assigned a table. Ordering and receiving drinks and food is quick and there are no long waiting times. The staff is nice and friendly, and the food is all delicious. Fair price-performance offer. We'd love to come back.

Solide kroatische und Fleischlastige Küche. Haben uns heute einen Grillteller zum Mittag geteilt . Fleisch und Beilagen gut zubereitet.

Gutes kroatisches Restaurant mit schöner Außenterrasse. Nach der Renovierung der Räume sieht das Neretva fast schon edel aus. Geblieben ist eine gute und authentische Küche, einen tollen aufmerksamen und schnellen Service sowie eine sehr umfangreiche Menükarte. Die Fleischgerichte können wirklich überzeugen, dazu gibt es einen kleinen gemischten Salat und eine Beilage, in meinem Fall (zwar TK) Gemüse aber gut zubereitet und knackig. Auch der kroatische Rotwein hat gut geschmeckt. Zur Rechnung gibt es dann auch noch einen kleinen kroatischen Schnaps aufs Haus.

Netter Ort zum Treffen mit Freunden. Super aufmerksamer Service, Speisen lecker, Getränke mit fairen Preisen.

Gemütliches Lokal mit leckerem Essen und flinkem Service! Die charmante Lage in Berlin-Charlottenburg verleiht diesem Restaurant einen besonderen Flair. Abseits der Hauptstraßen inmitten eines Wohnviertels gelegen, punktet es mit Ruhe. Das Ambiente mag leicht veraltet wirken, doch die Sauberkeit im Inneren überzeugt. Die vielfältige Speisekarte bietet köstliche kroatische und deutsche Gerichte, ergänzt durch saisonale Spezialitäten. Der freundliche und rasche Service beeindruckte uns - Getränke waren innerhalb von Sekunden da und das Essen in max. 15 Minuten. Es ist schade, dass so wenig los war, denn das Restaurant verdient mehr Gäste. Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis ist hervorragend und das Essen schmeckt vorzüglich. Ich komme gerne wieder!

Seit Jahren gehen wir dort Essen müssen aber sagen das es sehr nachgelassen hat. Fleisch war nicht durch und war nur lauwarm Kommt uns so vor als wenn ein neuer Koch dort ist.

Das Lokal wirkt etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Zeitlich gesehen kann es keinesfalls bei der heutigen Gastronomie mithalten. Traditionell darf es gerne sein, jedoch ist die Atmosphäre kühl, pragmatisch und nicht einladend. Es ist gefühlt ein deutsch kroatisches Renter Exil in einem wirtschaftlich schwächeren Lokal im kroatischen Hinterland (mitten in Berlin). Das Auge isst bekanntlich mit, die Anrichte der Gerichte ist teilweise wahllos auf irgendwelche Platten aus der Großküche serviert. Keine schönen Teller, Schalen, Dekoration oder aufregend präsentiert. Das Gemüse ist TK Ware im fertigen Brokkoli, Karotten, Blumenkohl mix, fertig Soßen mit Geschmacksverstärker, Kroketten, Pommes sind aufgetaut und nichts besonderes oder hausgemacht. Es sind Produkte die ich beim Edeka in der Parallelstraße selber kaufen kann. Wenn ich mich für ein Lokal entscheide, wünsche ich mir etwas mehr Eigenleistung, Produkte die Euch ausmachen, ein Erlebnis kulinarisch sowie eine einladende Atmosphäre. Wenn die Generationen bis zur Boomer Generation immer weniger werden, dann hat das Lokal in paar Jahren ein echtes Problem. Es kann bei weitem nicht mit der heutigen Konkurrenz mithalten. Es spricht junge Menschen (die den größten Teil darstellen in Berlin) nicht an. Keine richtigen Alternativen oder Ersatzprodukte für vegetarisch/vegan. Die bekommen dort basic Beilagen oder Salat. Das Lokal hält an veralteten Konzepte fest und nutzt das Potenzial nicht aus. Man könnte den Menschen Kroatien moderner sowie interessanter präsentieren mit Livemusik, Lebendigkeit, Lebenslust, verschiedene Events, mehr originale Produkte aus Kroatien an Getränken, Nachtisch etc.

Die Gulaschsuppe ist die Beste. Dafür 5 Sterne. Tipp: Wir haben Gulaschsuppe überall in Ungarn, Polen, Deutschland und anderen Ländern gegessen, um festzustellen, dass sie "zu Hause" sehr gut schmeckt :-) Danke an den Koch und das Team vom Restaurant, das ich schon Jahrzehnte besuche.

We live basically next door and stopped by after the playground one Sunday. The place was quite full, and we were the only guests under 60 years old 😅. The menu consists mostly of deep fried pork. We ended up taking one of the only non-pork dishes (chicken cordon bleu) but we couldn't eat it, as it was still partially raw. The french fries were at least edible

Schlechtes Essen und eine dazu passende Bedienung… Wir haben schon zwei mal hier gegessen und sehen keinen Grund mehr für einen dritten Besuch.

Mit (wenn nicht) das beste kroatische Restaurant das ich in Berlin kenne. Wir gehen hier seit Jahrzehnten essen und ich kann den Neretva Grill nur wirklich jedem, der die Küche des Balkan mag, wärmstens empfehlen. Dem ein oder anderen bekannten (Berliner) Gesicht kann man dort auch mal über den Weg laufen, nicht ohne Grund. Top! (#100 Grillteller) 🤤

Relativ ruhig gelegenes Restaurant mit gutem Preis –/Leistungsverhältnis Sicherlich wird hier viel mit Fertig Soßen gearbeitet, trotzdem ist das Essen sehr schmackhaft und man kann das Restaurant auf jeden Fall empfehlen.

Charming little international restaurant featuring an eclectic menu with a heavy Balkan influence, and apparently really popular with the locals. So popular that they all go at the same time and then clear out at the same time, leaving the whole place to me. Just luck, right? Nevertheless, it wasn't awkward at all, and my server was a very polite Croatian man who recommended me the pork steak with fried onion strings, rice and fries. My recommendation: listen to his recommendation. A great hidden gem in Berlin's Tiergarten district.

Leckeres Essen und freundliches Personal

Atmosphäre ist gut, das Essen hat leider nachgelassen. Der Spargel war noch fast roh und so schlecht geschält, dass man ihn nicht mal schneiden konnte, schade.

Leckeres Essen und sehr freundlicher Service. Wir waren samstags abends ohne Reservierung zu zweit. Es wird ein Digestif angeboten.

Super Kroatische Küche in Berlin! Ich bin begeistert von diesem Restaurant und ich gehe hier seit Jahren hin. In letzter Zeit weniger durch einen Umzug in eine andere Stadt, aber wenn ich in Berlin bin und ich gute kroatische Küche brauche ist das meine Anlauf Station. Die Kellner sind nett und jedes Trinkgeld gebe ich mit großen Vergnügen. In den Bildern finden sie ein paar Gerichte.

Rustikal eingerichtetes kroatisches Restaurant. Tolle Fleischgerichte, die auf dem offenen Grill zubereitet werden. Große Karte. Immer freundlich und zuvorkommend. Kommen schon seit über 19 Jahren gern dorthin. Waren noch nie enttäuscht.
