Croatia in Berlin

We were traveling in Berlin today for work. We were looking for a quick and good way to have something for lunch. That's how we ended up in the restaurant "Croatia bei Miro". We received a very friendly welcome and had our food on the table very quickly. It was very tasty and inexpensive. We were very satisfied. The portions are large. There was a palette of garlic, "tzaziki" (my term) and spicy onions as well as hot sauce. Also a small salad. We were happy. Finally, a schnapps for everyone. Thanks to the “Croatia” team. We'll try to come back. 🤗🤗🤗

This was the best eel I've eaten in a long time!

Unfortunately we had to have dinner outside of our hotel, so we came across this restaurant and are very satisfied. The food was very tasty and plentiful, the staff was super friendly and very accommodating!!!!

We went here for dinner for the first time today. Food and service were great. Food was tasty and fresh. We'll probably come here more often now. Gladly again.

Absolute favorite restaurant, for years and always very, very nice

We've been regular customers for years, but I was there for the first time this year and I was shocked when I saw the prices. Last year the stuffed minced steak cost 17.90 and was decorated decoratively. But this year 22.90. 5 euros more price increase is all well and good but not for something carelessly thrown on the plate like this meal now. The minced steak is the size of a Samsung s24, so it's rather small and you won't really get full. We/I have been regulars for the longest time and the store will never see us again. If you want 10 euros for something a little bigger I think it's too much then we're at €32.90 plus coke €4.90 then that's €75.60 for two people. And to eat there was always a small lettuce leaf with a tomato and a slice Cucumber included. Not anymore. Others get it too Price-performance. But there was never another decoration LIE. See comparison picture from October 22nd, 2024. Please form your own opinion about the size/decor and this store. The eye eats with its own load. But we have nice plates but you can't get enough of them.

Lecker , reichlich, freundlich, Ambiente ist okay

The mixed salad was tasteless without dressing.The Pljeskavica was tasteless and had some gristle. This includes fries and no sticky fried potatoes - it's a shame -

Outrageous!!! We are/were guests there often. And often order to-go. 2 x a grill plate WITHOUT rice, only with fries. We've had this a few times now without rice!!! tried, it never worked! We threw away the rice the last few times….. but…. When I got home today, I went back to the restaurant, called ahead and was greeted with the words -that's why you come here?-, just throw the rice away. Outrageous. I was met with a wave of resentment when I had no grace to apologize. As if it were my fault!!! Things then escalated when the waiter came to me in a daze and a colleague had to intervene. Luckily all the guests noticed. Then there was silence in the restaurant. If you're so full and don't need it anymore, just skip the take-out sale. Because if I'm sitting in a restaurant and I get the wrong order, then it goes back into the kitchen. So today it was an unnecessary 10 km (there and back). You'll never see me/us again!!

Very simply furnished, very loud, food not seasoned enough, but quite expensive. Wouldn't recommend it.

Ich habe hier noch nie schlechte Erfahrungen gemacht. Essen wird immer frisch gemacht. Ja das Fleisch ist durch, ist nunmal kein deutsches Restaurant und man muss die Gepflogenheiten anderer Länder muss man akzeptieren. Komme immer wieder gerne.

Das schlechteste Essen was ich jemals hatte .Tisch war reserviert und man musste 45 min draußen warten bis der Tisch frei war danach 1,5 Std warten auf das Essen und keine 20 min später wurde die Rechnung auf den Tisch gelegt ohne das man was sagte und uns fragte ob wir überhaupt noch was möchten bsp. ob man noch was zu trinken möchte , da die Gäste nach uns schon warteten wurden wie so Zusagen rausgeschmissen . Kinderteller lieblos und unter alles Sau sowie alle anderen Teller nicht genießbar einen Teller hatten wir zurückgegeben lassen , weil das Fleisch roh war Teller kam dann wieder und das Fleisch war wie Fußsohle nur erwärmt und ungenießbar Teller erneut zurück gegeben und wollten dann auch keinen neuen mehr . Fazit nie wieder und der SERVICE ( männlich) mehr wie unfreundlich . Nicht zu empfehlen

As always, very well attended on a Friday evening. You have to bring some time but the food is good and varied. Has blossomed, therefore a few more points.

I have known Miro and his great restaurant for 20 years. I haven't been there for a long time and yet it was a really great day, super tasty, just like back then, the atmosphere is very nice, cozy, appealing. I was happy to come back here and enjoyed every second. It was full, but we still experienced attentive and very friendly service. We'd love to come back, not just for mom's 60th.

I was here for the first time today with my family, the food was simply incredibly good and delicious for all of us. I definitely recommend the restaurant to the rest of my family and friends and it certainly won't be the last time I've been here. Simply great chapeau

Unfortunately we were very disappointed with our stay at the restaurant. The bill wasn't right, we were simply ripped off. The waiter was very aggressive. The calamari was not fresh at all and the children are not welcome. Never again!

Auf der Rechnung wurde mehr, als bestellt abgerechnet. Als wir ein aufklärendes Gespräch baten, hatte sich der Kellner sehr unprofessionell, unhöflich und agressiv verhalten. Wir empfehlen dieses Restaurant nicht weiter und werden dort nicht mehr hingehen.

The waiter recommended that we order the calamari breaded and fried instead of grilled, which we agreed to. For the children's dish, Pasta Bolognese, we were offered Parmesan and we agreed to that too. We had a surprise when paying the bill. We were charged an additional €7 for the breading and an additional €3 for the parmesan. The unusual thing is that the waiter did not inform us about the additional conditions when we ordered. It wasn't marked on the map either. When we asked the waiter to clarify, he behaved very unfriendly, unreasonable and even aggressive. He argued, pay for what you ordered, the behavior is completely normal. This was the fourth and last visit to this restaurant. In our opinion it is a rip off.

Very rude and aggressive behavior from the waiter

It's a shame there aren't any half stars to give out. 4 1/2 would be okay too The meat is of very good quality, well grilled and juicy. The fries are crispy and the rice is unfortunately a bit too soft. The price level is fair and there are also smaller dishes for around 14 euros. I made a small deduction because the waiter seemed overwhelmed or unfocused - unfortunately also with the bill, which can only be paid in cash here There are enough parking spaces available.

Great vibe with great food and very nice staff

It's a nice shop for me. The staff is always very nice and attentive. The food tastes good every time. I've been going there on and off for about 2 years now and I can't complain in the slightest. The quality and/or service are always at the same high level. This is what you want from a restaurant. Keep going and stay as you are.

Great food Staff super friendly

This is the first time I've encountered such rudeness from a waiter. I asked for a weissbier. The waiter misunderstood and brought me a lager. I asked for a replacement, as I don't like lager. To which I received a rude response.

I cannot recommend this restaurant enough. This is the first time in Europe that someone has been so rude in a restaurant. What they brought me was not what I ordered. It wasn't my first time in this restaurant and I couldn't imagine that such an attitude was even possible. It's not that there was a misunderstanding with the waiter, but rather his terrible behavior and very rude words. I hope you never come across such a service.

Loveless and tasteless food has little in common with real Croatian cuisine. Miro used to be really good and we were there every week, but it's getting worse and worse.

Have eaten here several times and it was again really tasty. The employees are super friendly. The atmosphere is super cozy and invites you to linger. We would like to come again

The parking lot is great, but nobody can do anything about it. The traffic directly in front of the terrace is a bit annoying. We sat inside and ordered meat, fish and vegetables (vegetarian). Everything was great, I can only recommend the restaurant.

Always nice to eat there. The prices are still quite moderate. The portions are not too small and very tasty. For 5x "very good" a little bit is missing, but not much - thank you!

Nice welcome, luckily we got a shady spot. The salad was nothing. Bland and loveless. Cheap beer in an expensive guise. The food also needed more seasoning. All in all, there is a lot more possible. When the construction site lights in front of the door have disappeared, things will hopefully be quieter. Bikers definitely need to fire up their engines. Guests who are sitting almost next to them really don't think it's that great. Someone could also try to beautify the rear entrance.

So we don't want to give 5 stars, but at least 100. Everything is perfect, it couldn't be better. Food and service 1A. We just want to say thank you❤

One of the best Croatians in Berlin.

We have been living in Altglienicke since 2020 and this was our first time eating here; we could have done that sooner. The food was more than sufficient and very tasty, and the price was also great. The service was friendly and accommodating. We sat relatively alone in the back corner of the restaurant and were still noticed like all the other guests. Regarding the criticism regarding side dish prices, all I can say is that there is a price list on the menu. We also ordered fries for our son and they were charged according to the price stated, so I can't say anything negative about that. Plus they came on a cute bear head shaped plate :) At the end we were asked whether the leftovers should be packed up, which I thought was very nice.

This was our first time at Restaurant Croatia. The staff is very friendly. Special dining requests are fulfilled without any problems. The food is very rich and very tasty. Price / offer: Very good. We can highly recommend the restaurant. We will be back.

This well-hidden restaurant has the feel of a village tavern on holiday. You can feel the family business putting love into making guests happy, it's unbelievable that something like this still exists. We received a very friendly welcome 5 minutes before the kitchen closed. Ordered 2 starters and a main course and everything was of exceptional quality and quantity. I have known the restaurant for many years and eating there is always an experience. Thanks to the friendly staff.

Even one star is still too many!

I cannot recommend the restaurant. The price-performance ratio is not correct. For an ice cream sundae with more strawberries on request, a price of 14.90 euros was quoted - in my opinion this pricing is unreasonable. After I commented on this, the landlord said - I didn't have to come here to eat - which was a very unfriendly reaction

We had a family celebration there with over 20 people. The service was nice and attentive, but a bit slow. The food was ok, nothing special. It was tasty but didn't blow me away personally, as the saying goes. Unfortunately I can't say anything about the prices, as there were self-serve platters at our celebration. But I heard that significantly more than 1000 euros were spent on the celebration. Only for lunch and drinks and coffee. However, it was a long time coming as there were only two cans in circulation. A bit small for more than 20 people. Toilets, very narrow cubicles for the girls. Women who are a little more obese will certainly have their problems. Conclusion. Typical Croatian restaurant with no frills. Can you do it...

Das Fleisch war trocken, die Cevapcici hatten kaum Geschmack .Könnte Tiefkühlkost gewesen sein. Wir haben draußen auf alten Stühlen mit platten Sitzkissen gesessen. Die hohen Preise waren nicht gerechtfertigt. Alles müsste mal überholt werden ( Altbacken !!) Nicht weiter zu empfehlen.

Just wanted to eat something and parked in the parking lot belonging to the restaurant. Unfortunately you can only pay with cash there. So let's go again. As we wanted to drive off, the landlord came towards us and threatened us again Parking with the towing service for 500 euros. We explained why we parked and why we drove again. Especially since he saw us parking and driving off again, we were rudely reprimanded. The man's manner was very frightening. We won't stop there again, even on foot.

Absolutely authentic Croatian restaurant!!! If you want a short vacation to Croatia, come along. Typical Croatian music in the background. Very good food, I felt like I was at home by the sea, freshly grilled with a good glass of wine!!!!

The food was very tasty and the waiter was friendly. However, changes to the side dishes and the individual components of the meat platters quickly become outrageously expensive. We changed the side dish from the meat platters for 4 people to fried potatoes and used pork instead of the liver. That's an extra charge of €42 and that's without having to point it out beforehand. Sorry, but we'll probably eat somewhere else in the future. That's just audacious. Disappointing....

As long as you want to change the items on the menu, be sure to ask how much it will cost in advance, otherwise the waiter will not tell you how to add money or how to add it. We replaced the pork liver in a barbecue platter with pork neck, and replaced the French fries with baked potato chips. Unknowingly, we were charged a total of 40 euros more. The original price of a platter should be 69 euros. The waiter will not be informed in advance and will not bear the consequences. This store is the first black store I have ever seen in my life. Regardless of the restaurant’s reputation, I think the two types of meat in its barbecue platter are too salty/too spicy, namely pork belly and cevapvici. Salad, baked potatoes and rice were okay. Not recommended and won't be returning.

It was my first time eating Croatian food and I really loved it. A very hospitable, familiar and warm restaurant with attention to detail. We had a great starter plate, a large fish platter where you could taste the love and freshness and at the end a delicious desert. Really highly recommended. The 1 hour drive was definitely worth it. Service is very important here and is also practiced.

I haven't been here for years, but nothing has changed. Very nice staff who took care of you straight away if you didn't make a reservation, it was very full but it still went very quickly until we had our drinks and our food and it was very tasty and everything was fresh. Have been regular customers for years and once again it was delicious, plentiful and great service. The restaurant was well attended and waiting times were absolutely okay. The whole team is super friendly and the boss gets involved himself. As I said, I've been happy here for years (20) and it will be the same for the next 20. All thumbs up.

We took our friendship with us because we loved going to the restaurant. We ordered redfish fillet. The fish was served to us raw and watery on the plate. I was uncomfortable and showed it to the waiter. The waiter was very nice and immediately asked if we would like something else. Then he brought us Cevapcici. Then the boss came to our table and said. We're supposed to eat, pay and then we're banned from the house. And in front of all the people, the restaurant was full. We got up, left the full plates, paid 160 euros and left. I just say "Without words".

It was another lovely evening. Food was plentiful. The four of us had the family platter and we highly recommend it. The tables are beautifully decorated for Valentine's Day. And it was asked whether the food that we couldn't manage should be packed to take away. In terms of prices, I think it's very reasonable these days. Great service. Always happy.

Смачна їжа, привітний персонал і затишна атмосфера. Ми замовили шніцель з грибною підливою і пиво. Все було дуже смачно. Наприкінці отримали лікер і пляшку вина у подарунок. Всі дуже задоволені.

Wir waren mit acht Personen im Restaurant. Wir haben relativ lange (über eine Stunde) auf unser Essen gewartet. Das Schweinefleisch war zäh, da es zu lange gebraten wurde. Die anderen Speisen waren gut und das Personal sehr freundlich.

Ich war gleich zweimal da, das erste und letzte Mal. Gelockt hat der Aufsteller mit Gänsebrust, Portion war sehr übersichtlich, ein Stück Fleisch von 15x4 cm, 2 kleine Kartoffeln und ein Löffel Rotkohl. Die Qualität war soweit ok, der Preis von 32,50 Euro dafür happig. Dann der krönende Abschluss: die Rechnung. Wir waren zu zweit, beide Gans, beide Getränke. Die Rechnung hat also schon überschlagen mehr als 70 Euro betragen müssen. Der lieblos hingelegte Bon wieß aber einen Betrag von 46 Euro aus. Bei genauen Hinsehen fehlt ein Essen. Ich bin ehrlich, mache den Kellner darauf aufmerksam, zunächst fühlt er sich angegriffen und wirkt aggressiv, bedeutet, dass Beschwerden zu Rechnungen hier wohl öfter ein Thema sind. Dann dackelt er ab, neuer Beleg liegt auf dem Tisch. Jetzt korrekt mit 81 Euro. Ich bezahle. Vom Wirt keine Entschuldigung und vor allem kein Danke. Weder wörtlich, noch in Form eines Freigetränkes oder einer sonstigen Geste. Ich habe sonst Kroaten immer sehr herzlich in Erinnerung... zu denen werde ich wieder gehen, hier komme ich nie wieder hin. P.S.: Ambiente: trotz Rauchverbot in Gaststätten seit 2006 riecht es 18 Jahre später um 12.00 Uhr zur Öffnung nach kaltem Nikotin. Vielleicht sollte doch Mal ein Maler durchs Haus gehen und den Pinsel schwingen...

Leider mussten wir sehr lange auf unser Essen warten . Der Nachbartisch kam später , waren mehr Leute und haben ihr Essen vor uns bekommen. Auf Nachfrage kam leider nichts. In der Getränkekarte stehen nur 0,2 Getränke bekommen haben wir aber 0,4 soviel trinken wir leider nicht also die Hälfte ging also wieder zurück. Kommen nicht wieder . Das Essen war OK gibt aber besseres.

Wir waren auf Empfehlung unseres Sohnes dort und der äußere Schein kann trügen. Von außen eventuell nicht ganz so einladend (kann aber auch am Umstand liegen, dass im Außenbereich alles Winterfest gemacht wurde) ist es im inneren um so gemütlicher und schöner. Alle Mitarbeiter waren wirklich super freundlich und zuvorkommend. Obwohl die Speisekarte ziemlich umfangreich ist, waren alle unsere Speisen super lecker. Besonders lecker waren die Schnecken als Vorspeise, ein absoluter Traum wie eigentlich alles andere (Knoblauchbrot, Mixgrillteller, Sarma) auch. Wir werden versuchen des Öfteren herzukommen um uns durch die riesige Auswahl an Speisen zu essen. Eine absolute Empfehlung in jeglicher Hinsicht.

Der Koch muss leider lernen wie lange ein Hackstaeck gebraten werden muss. Das Ambiente ist sehr gut.

I have dined here twice as my sister in law lives a few blocks away from here. The food is consistently excellent and the wait staff is so friendly and helpfull. I will always eat here when I visit Berlin. My favorite is the stuffed cabbage dish.

Lecker, auch gute preiswerte Gerichte. Schnelle, prompte und freundliche Bedienung

Es tut mir leid, aber ich kann das Essen nicht loben. Alles was an Gegrillten, oder Gebratenen serviert wurde war sehr trocken und zäh. Die Schweinebauchscheibe auf jedem Grillteller kann man nur als Deko bezeichnen. Essbar ist sie jedenfalls nicht. Grillteller, Holzteller ect konnten wir kaum essen. Lediglich wer Leber und Civapcici hatte wurde etwas satt. Das eine Fischgericht konnte jedoch überzeugen und war echt gut. Man konnte das Fleisch weder mit dem Messer schneiden noch kauen. Und dies lag nicht nur an den stumpfen Messern. Nein, das Fleisch war miserabel. Schade. Ob es an der Fleisch-Qualität, oder an der Zubereitung liegt weiß ich nicht. Ich denke an beiden. Leider war auch die Leber zu trocken und durch-gebraten. Ich habe die Vermutung das alles vorgebraten und auf Bestellung nachgebraten wird. Wer sich von den ganzen "gegrillten" Speisen fernhält bekommt sicher auch schmackhafte und gute Speisen. Das zumindest zeigte das eine Fischgericht bei uns und die Pommes, die Reisbeilage der Gerichte und der vorab gereichte Salat mit Vinigrete. Es tut mir sehr leid, so ein schlechtes Ergebniss hier zu posten. Liebes Croatia-Team, bitte arbeitet an eurer Fleisch-Qualität und Zubereitung. Gutes Essen braucht auch eben mal Zeit. Und überdenkt eure Einkaufs-Quelle. Euer "Grill-Fleisch" ist unterste Kategorie gewesen. Dennoch wollen wir uns sehr bei dem Personal bedanken, sehr lieb und zuvorkommend.

Sehr gutes Essen. Hier muss man reservieren, da viele Familien oder Gruppen wie wir Kollegen hier einen angenehmen Abend verbringen. Danke, dass hier die Kellner noch wissen, dass man auch gerne ein 2. oder 3. Getränk haben möchte ohne den Kellner zu suchen. Freundliche und aufmerksame Bedienung. Danke

War für eine Familie Feier schön

Leckeres Essen nette Personal preiswert

Ich habe das Restaurant auf Empfehlung besucht, und liebe Freunde zum Essen eingeladen, die das Restaurant bereits schon kannten. Ich wurde nicht enttäuscht. Das Essen war sehr lecker, und fast zu viel. Wir hatten Knoblauchbrot und gebackenen Camembertkäse als Vorspeise bestellt, und uns diese Vorspeisen zu viert geteilt, da unsere Freunde die Mengen der Hauptgerichte bereits kannten. Für die Hauptgerichte entschieden wir uns für die Balkan-Leber und Mix-Grillteller. Die Leber war leider zu sehr durchgebraten. Hier wäre wünschenswert, wenn das Personal fragen würde, wie man die Leber gern essen möchte. Der Mix-Grillteller war sehr lecker und für mich nach der kleinen Vorspeise zu viel. Kein Problem. Man konnte das Essen, welches man nicht schaffte, mit nach Hause nehmen. Es wurde sorgfältig verpackt, und auf der Verpackung bedankte sich man sich noch mit einem "herzlichen Dankeschön". Das Personal war außerordentlich aufmerksam und freundlich. Der "Laden" brummte, trotzdem kein Gefühl von Hektik oder Stress. ...Ich/wir kommen wieder.
