NENI Köln in Köln

Discovered by chance. Neni fed me the whole weekend. On Saturday there was breakfast (too good to go), on Sunday there was dinner with the family. The food is very tasty, lovingly prepared and sufficient. The waiters are friendly, courteous and have a relaxed sense of humor, which I found totally pleasant. The view has been mentioned many times - very beautiful. It wasn't the last time we were there. Thanks for the good service!

It was OK - but none of us will come back! Food: We were at Neni with >10 people and had to take the given menu for €56. Unfortunately the food didn't come close to justifying the price! The drinks and even the water were on top… Ambiance: Nice view. Unfortunately we sat at a table without ceiling lights. At some point candles are brought, but that only helps to a limited extent. I sometimes had to take out the cell phone flashlight to identify what I was eating. The volume was so enormous that it was almost impossible to hold a conversation. Service: Was good. I just thought it was a shame that the birthday candle that had been arranged in advance was missing from the cake.

Inspired and inspiring cuisine. Great to try out. Beetroot hummus is a must. Kebab was really a taste experience! Service is good, but there should be a little more emphasis on service over self-promotion. The wine list needs to be revised; given the price level, mention of the winemaker and vintage should be a given.

Very nice reception, wonderful atmosphere, fantastic cuisine. A real treat! The starter trios were tasty and the main dish was exquisite, definitely a place to go.

Just had an aperitif on the roof terrace. At the end of October it was very calm and very sunny. Service and aperitifs good. I really liked the roof terrace and will come back for that reason alone!

Enjoy your meal. In a great atmosphere... the restaurant bitter your great view leaves little to be desired in terms of cuisine... fans of Middle Eastern and fusion cuisine in particular will really get their money's worth here! Highly recommended!

Great view, nice staff and atmosphere

For the third time we had a family dinner at Neni for my daughter's birthday. Unfortunately, service and quality have declined significantly in recent years. The waiter was unfriendly and completely overwhelmed. The food was partly cold, water bottles from the water flat rate were only refilled when asked. We waited in vain for a vase for the birthday bouquet as well as for a small gift for the birthday child. In previous years it was a drink or a dessert. It's a shame, but we won't have a family dinner at Neni anymore - even if the setting is really beautiful.

I was at NENI for the first time today and I was completely thrilled. Fantastic food, great service and a super nice location. Everything was just right. It certainly won't be my last visit. Price-performance is simply top!

First time eating there and it won't be the last time. The food is excellent as are the drinks. The service staff was super friendly. However, I have to make deductions for the ambience because it wasn't that clean. There were stains everywhere on the bench where we sat, probably older ones too. A sideboard where the cash register stood and was used by the staff as a storage area was very dirty (the dirt was already older). More attention could be paid to cleanliness here. The rags used to wipe the tables are thrown into the cupboard after use without rinsing them in water. You can always use a cleaning spray. Here I think that better attention should be paid to hygiene. You also have a beautiful view of Cologne and the cathedral. If you want to eat well, you're in good hands here.

View great. That's it.... good service, reasonable, overpriced food. The hype surrounding this restaurant is 100% inappropriate. Mass processing in an average indoor environment. There is much better in the city...

It was a colleague’s gathering and we had a table reserved at 20:30, we ordered the menu for four, including the starters, main course and the dessert. With two bottles of wine and two cocktails. The food was nice, but the main taste was almost all the same, I mean the base and bold taste of all was the same taste. Though I really liked the Falafels, and the eggplants. the desert was really good. And the one thing that made all of us really disappointed was that the waiter reminded us every five to ten minutes that we don’t have much time and we have to hurry. So he just rushed in with the deserts. I know that the staff had to prepare the room for the next day’s breakfast, as the location of the restaurant was in a five star hotel, which they used the same area as a breakfast spot. But they knew it in advance so they made a reservation at 20:30!! When someone is coming in, and spending money (which was not so less) wants to have a quality time and enjoy the meal…

Nice view, delicious food, good service. The dishes are really refined and special. The atmosphere is modern, chic and yet cozy. Prices are fair.

Very nice atmosphere and very tasty food

Everything was very tasty and served with love. The star deduction is for the very large amount of (mango?) mayo on my salad. I know Germans like heavy sauces and dressings but the entire amount of salad was too little to be able to put it on the side. Starter was great

Nice restaurant with a beautiful view. Unfortunately I didn't like my main course that much. The bread of the kebab was so soggy it was like eating raw dough. The cheesecake is highly recommended. Breakfast was nice. Not a huge amount of choice. What was there was tasty.

The view 😍😍 Foodwise: would not recommend to go here for dinner. The meat was overly dry, soggy pita bread and because of that very much overpriced. The wine menu on the order hand is great 🍷 We did also have breakfast here because we stayed at the 25hours hotel and that was the opposite. Very good, fresh, bio produce and lots of variety. Know that you can also order other sort of eggs (omelette, poached, sunny side…) and cappuccino/latte by asking the waiters, they are not available at the buffet. Even if you don’t stay at the hotel, you can have a breakfast here, so you should give it a try!

The atmosphere is good, nice music. The guy who greets guests at the entrance is great, he will tell you everything and also helps the waiters since they can’t cope and absolutely don’t understand how to work with clients, it’s impossible to make eye contact and signaling is useless😅 the view as a view is nothing special, in the daytime and warm weather it’s nice drink a drink. Parking across the street is a plus, paid. The chairs and tables in the establishment are outdated. The portions are very small, in terms of taste 2 out of 5 points. The chicken was tender, so instead of 1 point I give it 2. They forgot to bring part of the order and delivered it later after a reminder. Well, the cost per dish is from 20€/30€. Taking into account all of the above, I think it’s expensive and not justified. I would not recommend this establishment; there are many establishments with better cuisine, interior and possibly lower cost.

Wir waren zu zweit im Neni (insgesamt war ich zum dritten mal dort) und ich bin immer sehr zufrieden, mit allem, wohltuend immer der sehr freundliche Service. Ich fühle mich sehr wohl dort, das Essen ist super lecker, eine schöne Auswahl für VegannerInnen, das Dessert ist oberlecker. "Sesam - Ein Neni Klassiker " mit gerösteten Pekannüssen, Mmmmmmmhhhh!

Bin gerne im Neni, auch oder gerade weil es nicht so perfekt, aber dennoch richtig gut dort ist.

Es hat uns auch heute wieder sehr gut bei Euch gefallen. Wir mögen die levantinische Küche sehr und wurden von unserem Kellner Mauricio sehr zuvorkommend und mit viel Aufmerksamkeit bedient, obwohl er alle Tische voll hatte. Hier fühlt man sich als Gast geschätzt. Danke Mauricio.

First of all, I have to say that the food was really delicious. A great selection. We all ordered the menu so everyone could find something they liked. The wines and drinks were also very tasty and of good quality. Unfortunately, then came the unpleasant part. After we were seated, it took about 10 minutes for anyone to come to the table. Everything is perfectly fine. It was a Friday evening and the restaurant was very busy. We ordered drinks and our food straight away. The greeting from the kitchen came before the drinks. Everything was wonderful too. The appetizer arrived and our drinks slowly became empty. We kept trying to make eye contact with a waiter, but we couldn't. We sat there with empty glasses for over half an hour. At some point we managed to be able to order something. The skin course came and after a few minutes we were informed that dessert would also come now as the kitchen was closing soon. In principle no problem, but we didn't have the opportunity to enjoy our main course in peace. So we hurried. When dessert came, we were immediately told that it would be closing soon. However, in a very unfriendly way. A little later, we were informed of this again. We kindly asked if we could finish our wine. The reaction was not particularly friendly, but was confirmed by saying that the store was still full. Of course, we all understood that the staff would like to finish work and need to be stocked up for the next day. All in all, the delicious food was unfortunately greatly affected by the absence of the staff and the hectic pace. We were really looking forward to a lovely evening that had a special meaning for everyone present.

Kann den Erwartungen nicht standhalten. Ein bisschen Bahnhofs/Fastfood Ambiente. Die Aussicht auf die Stadt ist top. Das Essen war okay, der Service knapp durchschnittlich. 

Es war wie immer sehr lecker! Wir kommen sehr gerne her und können das Restaurant empfehlen.

Alles super lecker und sehr nette Bedienung (etwas überlastet aber trotzdem aufmerksam). Aber das Restaurant schließt abrupt um 23:00 Uhr PUNKT (auch am Freitag) und man wird aufgefordert den Tisch und das Restaurant zu verlassen. Die Beleuchtung wird plötzlich hell gemacht und man muss zügig den Lokal verlassen. Schade, dass ein schöner Abend mit so gutem Essen auf einer so unfreundlichen und unangenehmen Art zu Ende geht.

Wir waren so begeistert, dass wir gleich am nächsten Tag nochmal hingehen wollten. Es war leider ausgebucht.

Obwohl es sehr voll war, wurden wir zügig, sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend bedient. Das Essen war wie immer sehr gut und kam nach einem angemessenen Zeitraum. Vielen Dank an Maurico, du hast uns sehr gut betreut, wir kommen bestimmt bald wieder.

Food and view great! Unfortunately a bit expensive. There is a stylish ambience and a fantastic view over the city of Cologne. Unfortunately to good to go only with rebowl. This suggests that leftovers will still be used.

Wir wurden ganz lieb bedient und das Essen war wie immer super lecker. Ganz besonders muss ich loben, dass stets auf meine Glutenunverträglichkeit geachtet wurde und ich mich immer sicher fühlte. Gekrönt wird der Aufenthalt dann mit der Location, die einen tollen Blick auf den am Abend beleuchteten Dom zeigt. Immer wieder Neni ❤️

Ein wirklich tolles Restaurant mit einwandfreiem Service. Unsere Reservierung war kurzfristig und trotzdem haben wir einen der begehrten Fensterplätze mit Aussicht auf den Dom bekommen. Das Essen war sehr gut und schmackhaft. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder.

Top Qualität, top Service, super Ambiente, leckeres Essen, gute Getränkeauswahl.

Das Essen war leider sehr verbrannt und die Kellnerin wollte es jedoch schönreden - und hat sich nicht mal entschuldigt... Die Portionen sind auch etwas klein geraten (für den Preis. Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis ist dort leider schlecht. Der Ausblick auf den Dom ist wirklich toll, aber wenn das Essen nicht so gut ist und man daran spart, finde ich nicht mehr, dass es sich lohnt dort was Essen zu gehen.... Finde ich sehr schade.

Yesterday we were at Neni for the fourth time and were thrilled again. The food is phenomenal, especially the Balagan - “creative chaos” as a menu, which simply impresses with so many different tastes. Drinks are great, even the non-alcoholic ones. There is even gluten-free bread now. The location is perfect, great view over the city and the cathedral, lots of green, modern but cozy. The service was also great, including warming up a glass for the baby. We're already looking forward to our next visit!

Simply great – we’ll be back! We (my sisters and I) visited NENI for the first time today following a recommendation - and it was a fantastic experience! The food was incredibly tasty, truly a taste experience. I would particularly like to emphasize the friendliness of the staff, who gave us a warm welcome and looked after us extremely well throughout our stay. The waiting time for the food was very short, which surprised us positively. The atmosphere in the restaurant was also very inviting and cozy. The prices are also absolutely reasonable for the high quality offered here. We will definitely come back! A big compliment to the entire team.

Laut mit der Atmosphäre einer Bahnhofshalle. Bei dem Balagan-Menü waren die Vorspeisen noch gut, danach ging es steil bergab. Bei Wartezeiten über 45 Minuten waren wir uns zum Schluss nicht mehr sicher, ob die einzelnen Gerichte lauwarm bis kalt sein sollten oder nur einfach so lange standen, bis sie ausgeliefert wurden. Auch die Gerichte selber waren unaufregend, trockener gebratener Wolfsbarsch auf geschmorten Flaschentomaten ist irgendwie kein Highlight, wenn man ihn nicht würzt. Die Begründung, dass besonders viel los wäre und es deshalb so lang dauerte, war dann nur noch eine witzige Nebenanekdote. Ist ja nicht so, dass man Wochen vorraus reservieren muss um einen Platz zu bekommen. Und das man als Kulanz dann einen Kaffee oder Tee aufs Haus bekommt ... ähem ja, wenn ich mich richtig erinnere, hatte ich den Kaffeeautomaten gesehen. Zum Schluss rang man sich dann doch durch, auf die Kritik einzugehen und beim Preis entgegen zu kommen. Meiner Meinung nach gibt es um Welten bessere Restaurants in Köln, die günstiger und unkomplizierter sind

Unfortunately the food was burnt and instead of taking it away straight away the waitress tried to explain that it was normal?! The meat and potatoes were black on the bottom. However, after I had to argue, I received a new dish. I found this type of service unpleasant...

Tolles, reichliches Menü, atemberaubende Aussicht 👍

Been there for the first time. Ate there around lunchtime. Food and view, great. The service was also very good. I only deducted one point because the prices are quite high. Absolutely recommended. I think you should reserve if you want a table in the evening.

Essen hat gut geschmeckt. Es war ganz wenig los, viel Personal welches nicht sehr aufmerksam war! Das hat mich sehr gestört. Echt schade!

Hier ist es lebhaft, wie in den Straßen von Tel Aviv. Licht durchfluteter Raum und im Sommer, wenn die Fenster ganz geöffnet sind, orientalisches Flair. Das Essen ist eine Geschmacksexplosion. Ob das Babaganoush, die gegrillten Artischocken oder der Jerusalemteller. Alles Speisen, die mit Liebe, köstlich zubereitet wurden. Und zuletzt der Blick, von der 8. Etage auf den Dom. Den Abend lässt man bei einem Espresso und dem NENI Klassiker, Sesam mit Hausgemachetem Muscovado Eis, Har Bracha Halva, rohem Tahini, Dattelsirup und karamellisierten Pekannüsse, ausklingen. Immer wieder, sehr gerne sind wir bei Euch Gast. Der Service ist ausgesprochen freundlich und zuvorkommend. Wir fühlen uns, wie bei guten Freunden.

Unser zweiter Besuch in einem NENI-Restaurant. Und wieder waren wir vollkommen begeistert von der Freundlichkeit und Zugewandheit sowie professionellen Kompetenz des Personals. Ebenso waren wir wieder geflasht vom ganz einfach unfassbar leckeren Essen. Die Location bietet Domblick in modernem, dennoch gemütlichen Ambiente. Wir waren ganz sicher nicht das letzte Mal zu Gast in einem NENI.

Ich habe da mein Geburtstag gefeiert. Das Essen war sehr lecker und die Getränke ebenfalls. Leider war der Service ganz in Ordnung. Freundlich aber es kam sehr selten jemand zum Tisch, man musste des öfters die Kellnern drauf aufmerksam machen, dass man etwas bestellen möchte. Das Restaurant ist schön dekoriert, leider kann man sich aber schwer unterhalten, da das Publikum sehr laut ist.

Ein wirklich wunderschönes Restaurant über den Dächern Köln. Das Essen ist hervorragend und geschmacklich sehr gut abgestimmt. Leider ist der Service nicht gut gewesen. Lange Wartezeit und im allgemeinen ständiges Bemühen eine/einen Kellner zu erwischen. Dazu sind die Preise ziemlich (saftig), auch wenn die Qualität und die Machart der Gerichte sehr gut ist. Sind aus meiner Sicht die Preise doch etwas zu überzogen.

Das Essen ist einfach der Wahnsinn; sehr aussergewöhnlich :)

For the price, the breakfast wasn't that good

We visited at the weekend and were assigned a nice table despite making a reservation at short notice. Hospitality is very important to Neni, all the waiters made an extraordinary effort and were able to give good, professional advice on all dishes and drinks. Even for us as vegans, the selection was large and our needs were met perfectly. In terms of price, we would rate the NENI in the upper midfield, but this is definitely reflected in the quality and taste of the food. Above all, however, the focus is on the guest and you can tell that the trained employees do everything they can to ensure a pleasant and relaxed stay in the restaurant. Passionate gastronomy is still practiced here. The only criticism we noticed was the noise in the restaurant. You had to talk louder to hear your partner at the table. However, due to the size and layout, this is also difficult to trade. We'll definitely be back.

Tolles Restaurant mit sehr leckeren Essen in tollem Ambiente. Reservierung am Wochenende jedenfalls ist ein Muss. Gerade zu Beginn wenn gegen 20 Uhr alle kommen, teils ein wenig Wartezeiten bis man an seinen Tisch kommt und bedient wird. Insgesamt auf jeden Fall zu empfehlen. Wir hatten einen tollen Abend. Wir hatten das Menü. Das bot eine großartige Auswahl einmal durch die gesamte Karte. Wir haben die Wein Empfehlung dazu genommen. Da sind nur Haus Weine drin, die je nach Menü wechseln. Unser Fall war der Weißwein dieses Mal nicht, wir haben dann netterweise eine Alternative bekommen. Top Service. Die Wasser Flatrate ist auch großartig.

Very tasty food! The 3-course option is definitely recommended, as you get different options if you cannot choose yourself. Definitely recommended if you are in Cologne. You just have to book in advance.

We had a wonderful evening with culinary delights! The Sympathetic Chaos Ballagan was fantastic and plentiful. Our special praise goes to Wei-Ho, who was very attentive and friendly. We'd love to come back!

Das Essen in dem schönen hellen Raum hat sehr gut geschmeckt, wir hatten eine schöne Zeit. Grandiose Aussicht über Köln!

Sehr leckeres Essen, ich hatte Oktopussalat als Vorspeise und den mediterranen Fisch als Hauptspeise. Beides sehr gute Ideen in der Zubereitung und toll im Geschmack. Der Service ist aufmerksam und sehr nett und das Ambiente ist klasse. Direkter Blick auf den Dom bei weit offenen Fenstern an einem heißen Sommertag, was will man mehr

Leider war das Essen für mich teilweise absolut ungenießbar, denn der Koch schien der Auffassung zu sein, dass man Geschmack lediglich durch ein Übermaß an Chili herbeiführen kann. Sehr sehr schade, denn es gibt auch andere sehr schmackhafte Gewürze!

Incredibly friendly staff 😀 the restaurant is loud but still very nice. The food is really "amazing" 🤤 I had past Jerusalem plate and all dessert sesame Neni (also vegan) it was both phenomenal. The price is high... But OK for what is offered.

Amazing food. We ordered Babaganoush(which we felt was expensive for such a quantity), Jerusalem teller & chicken shawarma. Everything was delicious, good customer service, didn't have to wait too long for food even with such a huge crowd on a week night. Family friendly(we had a baby with us). Costed us 63€ for 2. Overall loved everything & will be definitely returning again.

Das Essen war sehr lecker und außergewöhnlich. Der Blick über Köln super. Auch die Location im ehemaligen Gebäude des Gerling Konzern mal etwas ganz anderes. Wir kommen wieder.

Nice place, nice view. Food is a little overpriced and always takes long to cook. Not really child friendly. I recommend comming for lunch than for dinner.. As it gets too crowded and noisy at that time.
