NENI Hamburg in Hamburg

Do you really have to know weeks in advance when you're going to fancy Levantine cuisine? That's the case for an online reservation at NENI in Überseequartier. So yesterday, at the best coffee and cake time, we tried it spontaneously: and it worked! Friendly, efficiency-oriented service. Eight minutes between ordering and serving. "I'll fill up the table for you." The tin bowls spin like tops on the metal tables. Our six dishes taste good, especially the hummus - but cooking is different. "Healthy 5-minute recipes for lazy days" is what brigitte.de calls it. The greeting from the kitchen was certainly not a greeting from trained chefs.

Beautiful ambience, cozy and nicely decorated. The food is authentically delicious and fresh. Dogs are also welcome and water was brought straight away without having to ask. We're happy to come back at any time, whether it's a meeting with friends or a business meeting, everything is possible there.

Great, tasty hummus variants, I liked it, large restaurant with plenty of space for groups and a nice atmosphere. Top👍🏼

Cool place for vegetarians too, nice service, excellent food, priced in the higher segment, sabchi was delicious, although a bit too spicy.

We were greeted very nicely and escorted to the table. Since we were already at NENI Am Naschmarkt, we knew what to expect. We decided on 2 starters and a main course. We were advised on the selection because we didn't really know whether it would be enough. But, it did. So we still had the opportunity to order a small dessert. On Thursday evening it even worked for two people without a reservation :) I was there about a year ago and I found the portions to be rather small, yesterday it was more than enough. The artichoke hearts, roasted cabbage and the Korean fried chicken 10/10 👌🏼 really great service too!

Went there today and realized that the price & performance principle didn't work for us. Our seats were also positioned so that we could look into the open kitchen. We would have liked to have done without it. The music was set too loud for the conversations you would like to have while eating. [musical taste left out] Everyone likes it differently and so do we. Fantastic Levantine cuisine. Very creatively interpreted.

We had a lovely evening. The service was great, something you rarely experience these days. The food (we had the menu a few times, a few items à la carte) was good to excellent and the menu in particular was a nice, varied mix. Overall it was a bit loud all around, but it was still okay. Disappointing, however, that wine from the occupied territories (Golan Heights Winery) is sold, which is unfortunately not possible and leaves a bitter aftertaste.

An incredible culinary highlight. NENI Hamburg is always worth a visit. Sensational food, perfect service and great ambience.

Very cozy and invitingly furnished. Depending on the waiter, the service was between okay and very friendly and attentive. The food wasn't outstanding, but it was well made and tasted appealing. The price is within a fair range, but I am extremely dissatisfied with the business practices. What I won't include in the review, but what makes me avoid the NENI: If I have to order each slice of pita bread and pay for it individually and there isn't nearly enough to accompany a portion of hummus, I feel like I've been ripped off as a guest. That may be good for sales in the short term, but it alienated me.

Sehr gemütlich und einladend eingerichtet. Der Service war je nach Servicekraft zwischen okay und sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Das Essen war nicht herausragend, aber durchaus gut gemacht und geschmacklich ansprechend. Preislich bewegt es sich zwar im fairen Rahmen, mit den Geschäftspraktiken bin ich aber äußerst unzufrieden. Was ich nicht in die Bewertung eingehen lasse, was mich aber dazu bringt das NENI eher zu meiden: Wenn ich jede Scheibe Pita-Brot nachbestellen und einzeln bezahlen muss und zu einer Hummus-Portion nicht ansatzweise ausreichend gereicht wird, fühle ich mich als Gast verarscht. Das mag kurzfristig gut für den Umsatz sein, mich hat es allerdings verprellt.

Unfortunately I can only give 5 stars, that's far too few!!! We had the Balagan menu to share between two and it was absolutely fantastic. Absolute recommendation. My highlight was the cabbage with Caesar dressing and the sea bream with pumpkin and harissa filling. Don't miss this! The service was attentive, quick and fun. It was a thoroughly successful evening, thank you very much!

The three of us arrived on the eve of our cruise. Even without a reservation (strongly recommended), we were given a place in the quieter “spy corner”. The location in the old harbor office is beautiful. We had two starters, two main courses and some side dishes. Neni loves sharing was on the menu. Overall, all dishes fit perfectly into Haya Molchow's culinary concept. The Jerusalem plate was absolutely amazing! Lisa, our super nice waitress, always kept an eye on us and made sure that the evening felt like the first day of the cruise.

After a lot of persuading my wife, I finally went to Neni yesterday! I liked it a lot! Really delicious food, nice ambience and friendly but slightly annoyed service staff! The prices for our 4-pax balagan menu were actually too high. We should have ordered the dishes individually! Initially the portions looked small, in fact we were so full at the end that we couldn't finish it all! Conclusion: A great evening!

Like all other Neni’s, this one is also highly recommended. The food is delicious and the staff is always friendly and helpful! The ambience is also very positive, because the restaurant is beautifully decorated and there is a great atmosphere. Always my pleasure!

Unfortunately, the KING OYSTER MUSHROOM SHAWARMA did not meet my expectations. There were great aromas of oriental cuisine, but the dish was too simple and too little for a main course. In addition, the mushrooms on the slats were still very sandy. If you're looking for a good oriental 3-course menu, you're in good hands here. The service was very good. The atmosphere is a bit loud and restless. Reservations are mandatory on weekends!

Tolles Restaurant sowohl von der Optik als auch vom Ambiente her. Was aber noch wichtiger war, war der sehr freundliche und zuvorkommende Service als natürlich auch das sehr leckere Essen. Kann ich nur empfehlen.

The food is of a very high standard, I have rarely eaten so well. Especially the dessert *drool* Stefan served us kindly and gave us good advice; his service contributed significantly to these positive reviews.

The NENI is one of my favorite new discoveries this year. My expectations were exceeded. Great service, friendly, present and unobtrusive. The food: something special in its composition and seasoning, even dishes that I thought I knew pleasantly surprised me throughout. Even unspectacular-sounding dishes (e.g. “potato peels”) turned out to be an incredibly delicious surprise. You can't make a wrong decision on this menu. Price-wise: higher prices, suitable for the guests, but still ok. The only downside: I would have liked to reserve a table for my birthday, but unfortunately there were no more seats.

Breakfast buffet is sufficiently varied. Service quick and nice. Dinner was great with lots of new delicacies to try out.

We were traveling as a group and stopped at Neni's after work. Reservations make sense! Super nice service - always present and never intrusive. The in-house iced tea didn't appeal to me - it had a very strong taste of mint - I wasn't alone in that opinion that evening... Clearly structured card and quick ordering. The food is at the table very quickly - I then become alert very quickly - completely unnecessary in this case. The food is hot and freshly prepared. Of course I had the Popcorn Falafel and the Wagyu Kebap. Whether the kebab really has to be made from Wagyu may be debatable, but the result is completely convincing! Tender, juicy, well seasoned and simply delicious - served with smoked eggplant cream. Brilliant! The popcorn falafel didn't really appeal to me - very fluffy and crispy on the outside but not enough popcorn crunch for me - complaining on a high level! Since we also swapped things with each other - all the dishes are tasty and varied. Even the “potato peels” - great dish. The atmosphere in the restaurant is very pleasant, except for the noise - the tables are close together and this has a negative effect on the overall noise. Are we coming back? In any case! Food and service are first class. The price-performance ratio also suits me.

Had a wonderful girls night here. The food was amazing, we ordered multiple Mezze dishes so we could share. Absolutely loved the Brussel sprouts and the popcorn falafel are, hands down, the best falafel I ever had. Thanks for the fantastic night. Highly recommend for a cozy evening with great food.

Fantastic experience at NENI Hamburg! The food is bursting with bold Mediterranean and Middle Eastern flavors, and the atmosphere is lively and inviting. My personal favorite was the Jerusalem teller with vegan chicken option. It was my first time trying Israeli food! The staff were also super friendly and attentive, and the panoramic views add something truly special. A must-visit spot for anyone looking for delicious food and great vibes!

I was lucky and spontaneously got a table for two early in the evening and ate as deliciously as in the old town of Jaffa. Great staff, great food and the ambience invites you to visit NENI Hamburg more often. We'll be back.

Great restaurant with various Middle Eastern meals and menus. All service staff are always friendly and try to recommend the right dish. The dishes are served quickly after ordering and taste great. Anyone who wants to try something different or new has come to the right place. I will definitely stop by again.

I had the kebab skewer and have to honestly tell you that the price-performance ratio for the minced meat skewer is not right at all. You will be served a small minced skewer with very few ingredients for 30 euros. I have to be honest and say that for the price I expected something different and I am very disappointed with this restaurant.

What a delicious experience. Checked into the hotel by chance and found out about the restaurant. Even though it was during the week, the place was packed. Something like that actually speaks for itself. The nice man at the reception still got us a table, a little later, but it was worth the wait. The meals were very tasty across the board. Different from the usual “Mediterranean” style and rounded off with a lot of finesse. The appetizers are also recommended. The cabbage “Cabbage” was absolutely amazing. Sprinkled with Parmesan and topped with exciting César dressing. Wow. You have to try it: You can get so much out of such an old vegetable! The service was friendly and competent. All in all a successful evening, not exactly cheap, but worth an experience that will be remembered positively.

Food is really good! Would recommend to reserve a table. When we arrived with our toddler we felt not welcomed. The service was a bit rude and told us directly that we will have to wait longer because they are so stressed. Ambiente is great (if you get on of the tables in the main area).

Leider war ich etwas enttäuscht. Ich war bereit in mehreren anderen Neni Restaurants und dort war das Essen viel besser. Auch wenn es bereits etwas her ist, waren die Gerichte in den anderen Neni Restaurants (Naschmarkt, Berlin und Zürich) viel mutiger gewürzt und auch ansprechender angerichtet. Besonders vom Sabich war ich enttäuscht da es weder so angerichtet war wie ich es aus Zürich kannten noch spannend gewürzt war.. In Hamburg hatte ich 3 große Scheiben Aubergine in der Mitte aufeinander gestapelt, kaum Tomatensalsa und kein pochiertes Ei. Das war das letzte Mal in Zürich viel schöner gelöst und auch in Hayas Kochbuch / Video sieht es anders aus. Es kommt mir so vor als ob die Gerichte für eine schnelle Herstellung und einfache Anrichteweise optimiert wurden. Auch der Service war zwar super freundlich, aber nicht sehr aufmerksam. Der Hauptgang kam bereits als wir die Vorspeise kaum aufgegessen hatten, wenn wir noch etwas trinken wollten, mussten wir immer nach einem Kellner rufen. Somit stimmt für mich Pres-Leistung nicht. Schade.

We were very impressed by the ambience, Service and especially the food. The two of us had the Mezze Trio as a starter, Sabish and Kebab as the main course and Haya loves to share as dessert. Although we were very impressed with the dessert, we ultimately couldn't decide which course was the highlight of the evening - because everything tasted great. Everything was great, especially the service, but also the interesting atmosphere. The sauce for the fried potato peels was also very tasty, they also tasted quite good, but unfortunately they were dripping with fat (probably not olive oil at this point) and that was a shame.

Tolles Restaurant mit moderner und trotzdem gemütlicher Ausstattung. Wunderbares tasting Menü einmal quer durch die Karte und das Servicepersonal war durchweg ausmerksam, freundlich und zuvorkommend. Wer sich nicht entscheiden kann, was er essen soll der muss das Menü probieren. Der Wahnsinn und von allem etwas. Geht ab 2 Personen. Aber Hunger mitbringen😂 Beim nächsten Hamburg Besuch unbedingt wieder.

Das Ambiente ist sehr schön. Die Reservierung war für 2 Stunden. Darüber wurden wir vorher informiert. Wir mussten allerdings 45 Minuten warten bis der Service unsere Bestellungen entgegen genommen hatte. Sie waren zwar freundlich , aber sehr unaufmerksam. Wir hatten keine Möglichkeit mehr ein Dessert zu bestellen. 10 Minuten vor Ende unserer 2 stündlichen Reservierung wurden wir bereits aufmerksam gemacht , dass wir die Rechnung bezahlen sollen. Wir könnten lediglich noch einen Espresso bestellen meinte die Frau vom Service . Wir fühlten uns wie rausgeschmissen. So etwas gehört sich nicht für so ein Restaurant. Es wurde angeboten in eine anliegende Bar zu gehen… Auch das Essen überzeugte uns nur teilweise. Wir sind unzufrieden aus dem Neni gegangen und würden es nicht nochmal besuchen.

We've already been to the NENI in Vienna and really wanted to try it out in Hamburg and what can we say - go there! Luckily we spontaneously got a table for two on a Sunday around 12:45 p.m. Our waiter was super nice and gave us great recommendations. We can only recommend the NENI schnitzel! Super relaxed and easily accessible location and super nice location.

We visited recently and had the "Balagan Menu". The food is amazing and tastes authentic. The waiters are really nice and explain everything. Come hungry because it is quite a lot of food. Only (very) small negative: due to the layout of the restaurant, it was a tiny bit drafty. We will definately visit again!

Anyone who wants something special is in good hands here. Be sure to reserve a table. The only drawback is the specified 2 hours

Incredibly delicious. Had a very good meal there. Portions seem a bit small at first, but they are more than generous. You get full all the time and then you roll out. Service very attentive and accommodating. Always friendly and with a smile. Gladly again. Not too nice: The exhaust air in the men's toilet wasn't running, which meant it smelled strongly of the kitchen.

Service and ambience are very good. The appetizer Babaganoush and dessert were very good. What wasn't so good was the main course and we had the Jerusalem plate. In my opinion the portion is far too small for a price of €23.50. Furthermore, the plate only consisted of onions and chicken and lots of hummus. The description also says paprika, but I couldn't find it. The taste wasn't very tasty either and the chicken was hard to taste. It's a shame, I definitely expected more for this money.

A really cool atmosphere. Unfortunately the service wasn't convincing. The drinks came after the food was served. The word aperitif was definitely misinterpreted here and the Amalfi Spritz was "after all" a type of vermouth despite being asked. Something I don't drink. The dishes are definitely presented in a hip style, but they didn't live up to what the menu promised. No recommendation at all. In Berlin we had a much better experience.

However, we have to downgrade this to 1 star because after 2 hours - without being asked - we were presented with the bill (at least €150 for 2) with the note that the next guests needed the table... That's on the (priced) Level of bottomless impudence... Apart from that, the food was ok, but also slightly overpriced...

Das ist auf dem (preislichen) Niveau eine bodenlose Unverschämtheit....

Yesterday we went to Neni for dinner as a family with adult children. Since we are also Israel fans, we were particularly excited about the Levantine influences. The appetizer provided by the house (labneh with olives and sourdough bread) was delicious. Then the four of us shared the two starter variations, which were incredibly tasty and very plentiful. Sharing also created a nice communal atmosphere. The hummus variations are very tasty. We ordered 4 different main courses, and we particularly enjoyed the Jerusalem plate and the Neni Style Schnitzel, spicy, oriental, slightly spicy. The crowning finale was the two desserts with ice cream, each with its own interesting flavor and there was even caffeine-free espresso! Very friendly and really fast service, who brought us a (new) menu as a souvenir when we asked. Thank you for the lovely evening

We stayed at 25 hours hotel and had breakfast at NENI (hotel restaurant) which was lovely. Excellent service by Stefan. He recommended the shakshuka and it was amazing and so flavorful. He made sure that we had everything we needed. It was my moms birthday and Stefan made sure she had a birthday cake with a little candle in it.

Relaxed atmosphere and really delicious cuisine from the Eastern Mediterranean, interpreted in a modern way. No frills, high quality and rich flavors. If you come for the first time, you should be hungry and take the menu. You get something of everything there. People with sesame allergies may have problems choosing. Reservation is required.

This store is just fun. Even if it's not cheap, definitely try the Balagan menu. Simply great.

Four of us ordered the Balagan menu. It fits with the restaurant's concept of making conviviality important. There was a selection of starters, then main courses and then desserts. Because everyone ate every dish, there was constant communication about the food. You could reorder anything within the aisle. As good Germans, we always agreed to reorder - we were already full anyway. We all found the grilled artichoke heart particularly tasty for the starter and the Jerusalem plate (chicken) for the main course. The whole thing was extremely comfortable! Our questions were answered patiently by the staff. The entire furnishings are loving and comfortable, even the sanitary area!

A culinary highlight! The menu offers some creations that I hadn't eaten before or seen in any other restaurant. If you like coriander and garlic, you will definitely be happy. Price/performance is still ok. The four of us spent €200. An apple spritzer for 5€ is quite expensive... We would love to come back and are already looking forward to trying other dishes on the menu.

We were in Hamburg with our 3 year old son and had an excellent dinner here. The service was excellent and brought us utensils straight away. When we ordered we were offered chicken that wasn't on the menu. Our son loved it, but his favorite was the bread. We also had an excellent meal. Always my pleasure.

We were there influenced by the very good reviews. I like to eat Israeli, Arabic or Jewish. Basically it was delicious too. But very expensive. I know Knafeh completely differently. There was too little cheese and too little rose syrup for me. There was no question that the food was good, but we were still disappointed. There's no question that eating out is expensive. But almost 50 euros per person for one main course and two desserts is very expensive. And the price/performance ratio wasn't right for us. Also because we have been to Israel many times and have experienced delicious cuisine there.

We ate at NENI today and were served by lovely Tino. Tino was there to help and advise with questions about allergens and didn't miss the opportunity to serve me a little extra sausage as an allergy sufferer. It was an all-round great experience - incredibly delicious food and incredibly good service.
