This was my first visit to this restaurant chain. The food was delicious, prepared quickly, the staff was friendly, everything was clean, cozy and inviting, and the price was okay. The only thing to criticize: I didn't know the concept, there was no explanation anywhere. When I asked, it was explained to me in a friendly manner. It would be nice if, for example, there were instructions at the entrance or on the homepage or if you were asked when the tickets were handed out if you were there for the first time.

You order yourself at a terminal and get the food yourself. It took a little getting used to, but the food made up for it. Had noodles, manti chili cheese and two different pides with cheese and sucuk. Everything was very tasty and freshly prepared. Everything went really quickly too. I have one point of criticism: Why aren't you in Berlin? 😉

Food and ambience were good. When paying, the lady at the counter was very unfriendly and unprofessional. We had two cards, I put both cards on the counter, they were scanned and everything was fine up to this point. But then we were asked what we had ordered. When asked why this question was asked, the black-haired lady in her mid-40s reacted very irritably. This system with the cards is available in many locations such as VAPIANO etc. But no one has ever asked me what I ate and drank... We had to communicate every single item we ordered, only then was I allowed to pay. It was the first and last time we were there. This happened on February 8th, 2025 at 8:43 p.m.

Quickly on this restaurant 1- Prices are quite reasonable. 2-lovely atmosphere if you want to as two persons, more, or even a group 3- orders gets quickly served, really impressive given how big this restaurant is 4-This restaurant is really big, lots of people. In case you like a restaurant with few tables, this is not your place to go. 5-This place is self service, you order on the screen and then pick your orders at the kitchen and bars. If you want to be served, maybe not your restaurant to go. 6-food in general was quite good. The Mezzes could be better. THE TEA WAS THE BEST! But definitely this place is a must go, every now and then i find it really nice to be in a big crowd when everyone also as families with children so invested a livelihood times with food.

This restaurant is so beautiful that you will want to stay here for many hours. I never thought I would find a restaurant like this in Hamburg. As a guest you really feel welcome here. After a friendly greeting, you are given a menu and select dishes and drinks on a screen - if necessary with competent and patient assistance and even ordering in the old school way with paper. The dishes are always freshly prepared in front of everyone and taste delicious. I finally found a store where I can go and have a good evening with all my friends.

How complicated can the food be... Bona'Me... Hold my Bulgur, even if you're in your late 20s you're completely overwhelmed, there's no service. The menu is available at terminals where you always have to click on the dishes individually and then click on (i) to find out what is hidden behind the individual terms. This leads to queues at the terminals. Simple paper maps would make it much easier. In addition, you can walk through the store afterwards to collect your order. The food was okay but the concept is just not good, it works much better with other franchises.

The food tastes great, but the system is relatively laborious. Ordering food via smartphone/iPad is fine. However, there are no printed versions of the menu and the overview online is extremely laborious, making the selection process very lengthy and tiring. You have to pick up the food yourself, which means that table conversations have to be constantly interrupted.

A restaurant not suitable for families I would have liked to have been there without a child but never like that again. You get the cards at the counter and then order your food at the terminal. We immediately asked for a children's chair at the entrance (counter). The young lady was immediately very unfriendly. They stand at the very end and immediately turned away. After being asked to show us or get it, she briefly started to walk away, but then immediately slowed down and did something else. A short time later we set off. We got the chair. Making baby food warm in the jar was the next problem. After a short time at the counter it turned out that you couldn't do that here. The next question was why we didn't take anything with us from home. At the end get a lukewarm glass of water to warm up a glass. Sorry but that doesn't work at all. Apparently the customer/guest is just there to eat quickly and leave. We won't be coming back

Very, very tasty Turkish food, with a lot of choice and short waiting times. The employees are very nice and accommodating. Only the digital ordering process is a bit poorly designed... the menu is confusing and if someone in front of you did something wrong, your order could also be charged... unfortunately we got the wrong food and the drinks came very late... there You are welcome to learn a lesson from digital ordering at McDonalds.

I've been here for a few years and it's always been delicious. You can only order via the screens, the small devices vibrate when the food or drink is ready to be picked up, and then you can pick it up. Great concept, but not suitable for a leisurely meal, as unfortunately the food isn't ready at the same time and it all seemed rather quick. A lot has been expanded and the restaurant has a great ambience with an open kitchen. The employees seemed a bit stressed and unfortunately not so accommodating when we asked questions. Great for a quick meal like lunch, I would come back for that.

The concept of the Vapiano lives on in an oriental way, so it is difficult to rate the service, because apart from clearing the tables, you do it yourself.😉 The food is delicious and the selection is very extensive. I can't judge whether it's typically oriental due to the lack of comparisons from the Orient, but in any case it doesn't seem to be Europeanized. The atmosphere is relaxed and pleasantly relaxed. We spontaneously came to eat for the first time in the late afternoon. We were only given the cards at the counter and were not informed or asked whether we were familiar with the system - when asked, we were given a brief comment on how everything works. I see room for improvement here - when I had a query, another lady helped but was immediately incredibly friendly. Thanks :) As soon as the evening was over, it was really packed! (and loud, because there are a lot of seats) That speaks for itself: our food was great! Only one of our main courses was quite greasy and not exactly seasoned or tasty. The rest was great. I agree - a cozy evening in the restaurant is a little more difficult there. But it was difficult to assess as a newcomer because we didn't expect the canteen concept. Thanks! We'll be back :)

bona’me in Hamburg is a culinary highlight in the Hanseatic city! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ The bona'me in Hamburg is a modern Kurdish-Turkish restaurant that impresses with its open kitchen and freshly prepared dishes. Really very tasty!! 😋 The atmosphere is inviting and stylish, making the visit a special experience. The diverse menu, which can be ordered at the terminal, offers something for every taste and the quality of the dishes is excellent. The diverse pide variations and the authentic meze are particularly recommended. 🤤 Particularly noteworthy is the friendly staff, who are always willing to help if you get stuck and greet guests with a smile. For lovers of oriental cuisine, bona’me Hamburg is an absolute must!!! 😊 The best thing about it is that the restaurant is in a very central location, right next to the Chilehaus in Hamburg. I'm already looking forward to my next visit!

The restaurant is very central, within walking distance from Mönckebergstrasse and can be reached in just a few minutes. There is hardly any staff available. The ordering process is a bit complicated. You scan the QR code with your cell phone to view the menu. Orders are placed on iPad terminals at various locations in the restaurant. Unfortunately, not all dishes are the same between mobile and iPad views. The food and drink overview is also somewhat clear. This makes the final ordering process lengthy. The dishes themselves were ready quickly and were very plentiful and tasty.

Delicious food and well designed restaurant. I am personally not a big fan of the electronic tablets replacing real human waiters and waitresses, but it does work. Modern atmosphere with an open kitchen. The oriental dishes such as pide, manti and meze are fresh, tasty and offer a great variety, including many vegetarian and vegan options. The ordering system is straightforward and it's fun to watch the chefs prepare it. The only downer: In my opinion, the prices are too high, but the quality of the food at least partially justifies it. Still a recommended place for anyone who likes oriental cuisine - I'll be happy to come back!

We got stomach pains after eating. We wanted to try Mantı here. These are made from a strange, completely hardened dough that can't have anything to do with manti. A billo cheese sauce was then slapped on top and the whole thing was embedded on two greasy, gristly meatballs. The pleasure cost us 15.90. The price-performance ratio is a disgrace! Never again!

Babuko should be tried, it is really delicious. Pita can be considered average. There is a different ordering system, I don't know if it is a common system throughout Germany, but I don't think it is very practical, but the food comes out quickly and you don't have to wait long. The food is really delicious and varied, the cocktails are very sweet but delicious. Unfortunately, what we didn't like at all was that the waitress at the reception desk was very annoyed when we asked how the system at Bona' me worked. She simply pushed the card over the counter without saying a word and didn't say anything about it. When we asked, she explained it curtly and unfriendly. Next thing we knew, we were yelled at by the kitchen because we were late picking up our salad. Our pager didn't vibrate at all. Overall, the restaurant has more of a “nice cafeteria atmosphere” and I would choose it for lunch rather than a casual dinner next time. Except for the employees, who were really noticeably arrogant and unfriendly, the food was really great and had a large vegetarian variety.

I recently dined at bona’me Hamburg for a business dinner and had a highly disappointing experience. The staff was extremely rude throughout our visit. At checkout, they accused us of ordering drinks we hadn’t, leading to an uncomfortable confrontation. This unprofessional behavior, especially during a business engagement, was unacceptable. I cannot recommend bona’me Hamburg based on this experience. It seems that other people (on tripadvisor) have reported similar issues with service and staff behavior at bona’me Hamburg.

The food was good and the atmosphere was nice, but the staff still has a lot to learn when it comes to service and friendliness. First of all, when you come in there is no explanation of how the whole system works, and there are no step by step instructions at the tables as to what you have to do. However, you should probably think about it if you have such taciturn staff. We only got help when we asked, because the staff don't speak to you here. They can't smile either, not a single one of the employees had a smile on their face, not even the lady at the entrance and at the checkout. I found it all very confusing at the beginning and having to keep getting up was also annoying because not everything came at the same time. I would find it more relaxing if you just fetch the drinks yourself but get the food at the table. There were only two of us, but with several people I imagine it would be totally un-relaxed because someone always had to get up. I think the prices are a bit too expensive considering that, apart from the food, you actually make everything yourself. And I also found it strange why another couple had everything served to them at the table (apparently the only ones). The biggest drawback here is definitely the unaccommodating staff

Was there for the second time today. I like it very much. The service is great, the food is delicious and the atmosphere is very cozy despite the size. Questions are answered in a friendly manner. You receive the menu via QR code, and you then order food and drinks on the computer. If you have any special requests, ask the service staff, who took care of them immediately both times. Great! The first encounter at the reception was an unfriendly lady, which we found very unfortunate. We had reserved (by phone) for 8 people and received confirmation on the phone. We were then told that reservations were only available for groups of 10 or more. So our reservation wasn't booked. After waiting we got a table that was much too narrow. With the concept of getting up yourself and playing waiter, benches where the others have to get up every time are really unsuitable. It was extremely busy and unfortunately it wasn't possible to sit together comfortably because someone was always away for a long time. Food ok, not outstanding. Tables were only cleared at the end, which caused a lack of space on the table. The espresso martini was just disgusting. When I order an espresso martini, I expect the original recipe and no limoncello in the drink. This was the second time. We won't go there a third time.

We were there on a Sunday afternoon to have a little something to eat. At this time there were still a few tables available - a place was quickly found. It was our first time at bona'me, so the ordering system was a bit confusing. Since there wasn't that much going on, we were kindly explained how it works - it took some getting used to! Then first get drinks!, then one meal was ready - pick it up, then the second - get up again and get it!! My husband's food - 2 small börek - were warm and delicious. I ordered Meze III - the small falafels were very hard, the hollandaise came out of the bag and the whole thing was warm in the microwave (only after "stirring" everything was more or less the same temperature). Taste ok, nothing special! Because of this constant standing up - thank God there were only two of us!! - the entire atmosphere was very restless. People were always getting up somewhere and walking around. Not for us! The dishes were only cleared away after you had left🤔. Something like a canteen or snack bar! In addition, the ordering system was not explained to us, but we were very unfriendly and pointed out our “wrong” procedure while ordering. You could also simply ask politely if the guest needs help. We ordered an espresso martini, which unfortunately was absolutely undrinkable. When we asked, we learned that it was already a finished mixture and that the foam was missing because it was “just empty”. Then I won't offer it and, above all, I won't charge €8.99 for it. Unfortunately, there was no understanding and the drink was only charged at half price after repeated inquiries at the end. Goodwill is a foreign word here. We were all disappointed and will not be returning.

Oriental cuisine mixed with “Vapiano” processes. It works and it's better than expected. At the entrance you will find the card for all bookings and for your own billing. This saves having to calculate things apart. But it also has a bit of a “canteen” flair. But it doesn't matter. The menu has many special features and ordering on the touchscreens is surprisingly quick. As soon as we ordered, we went to the drinks bar. The spritzer was ready. Barely sat down, hum hum, food ready. The chicken curry with lentils was really tasty and not too spicy. My companion was impressed by the falafel with cheese sauce. The lentil soup came twice, but was only charged once. Funny. The braised meatballs with potatoes found grateful buyers among us. The location mixes glass and concrete style with oriental flair in a very skilful way. Because of self-service, I “only” gave the service 3 stars. But a great experience in terms of ambience and very good food. Checking out and paying were also incredibly quick and efficient. So there it is, our new favorite oriental efficiency and taste location. Cool invention. Try yourself.'

So yesterday, at the best coffee and cake time, we tried it spontaneously: and it worked! Friendly, efficiency-oriented service. Eight minutes between ordering and serving. "I'll fill up the table for you." The tin bowls spin like tops on the metal tables. Our six dishes taste good, especially the hummus - but cooking is different. "Healthy 5-minute recipes for lazy days" is what brigitte.de calls it. The greeting from the kitchen was certainly not a greeting from trained chefs.
