We visited as a family and found the ambiance very appealing, the food delicious, and the menu offered a diverse selection. I travel from Bremen to Hamburg and Hanover to dine there, but as far as I know, a Bona'me will soon be opening in Bremen, which I'm particularly looking forward to.

I've been coming here for years and I always feel truly welcome! Special requests can be accommodated. Always respectful and always a taste of vacation! Nidhal and Mahmoud are my absolute favorite chefs! Simply warm and efficient! Good staff is hard to come by, so keep such great people!

Bona'me has been our go-to place for many years when we need a break with good food and a pleasant atmosphere. The food is exceptionally delicious and beautifully presented. We enjoy breakfast often and often come here with friends. The space is large enough for spontaneous dining with more than four people. We've never had to wait. It's important to note: you pick up your own food. Thank you for such a well-run restaurant!!! A real asset to Hamburg!

We had a rough day in Hamburg due to the rain, but a chance encounter at Bona'me made us forget everything. Müslüm Bey, upon hearing we were from Istanbul, made us feel very special. We felt right at home. Speaking of the menu, it's far superior in flavor and variety compared to Europe :) The prices are quite reasonable. What more could you ask for? 😊

Wonderful team. We regularly eat at bona me with our 2.5-year-old son. We always feel incredibly comfortable. Very child-friendly. The food is always great! We like the ordering system because you can order whenever you want. We eat at bona me any time of day, but I would especially recommend the breakfast. The freshly squeezed orange juice with it is fantastic!

Some of the food tastes good... but McDonald's feels like I'm in a cafeteria, only the staff are themselves, unfortunately. The mezzes weren't good at all; everything tasted the same. Beyti tasted good...

This was the third bona'me we've eaten at, and it was rather satisfactory. The food arrived before the drinks, but the service was slow. Our pager battery died, meaning we had to stand and wait at the bar, and the food was served cold. We ordered pide with baked beef and cheese, but the meat was different. Instead of beef, it had doner meat on it, and instead of two dips, there was only one. When we asked at the counter if we could have another bowl of dip, no one could help us. One of the four meals was ready much too late, and after everyone had finished eating, the fourth of us got our food. But it was still delicious, as always.

The food tastes great, but the portions are too small for the price. The drink selection, including homemade lemonades, could be larger. Still, definitely worth a visit!

Nice ambiance, mediocre food, rather overpriced for the quality. I had the mezze platter, pide, and tea. The food was so-so... I found the mezze platter, in particular, extremely disappointing and not worth the price. Of the approximately seven items, two were some kind of stale bread, and the rest were more like dips and a tasteless couscous salad. The pide was decent, and so was the tea. So, I might go there for a drink sometime, because the ambiance is nice. You can get much better food at any restaurant on Steindamm.

No service, but a lady at the reception who neither asked if they were familiar with the concept nor explained how to order. Customers don't order at the table, but have to go to the counter to order digitally and then pick up their food and drinks individually. Both salads were quite greasy, whole tomatoes were included, large pieces of cucumber were cut up, and as a reward, we were given free garbage. Neither of us even ate 50% of our food, as it was neither tasty nor prepared with care. The interior was inviting and tastefully decorated. It was clean, too. The tiles in the bathrooms have a totally modern, rustic feel, and are truly beautiful. The staff were only partially understanding when I asked questions. Unfortunately, I wouldn't recommend it. The value for money is absolutely not right.

I ate at the restaurant yesterday and was unfortunately very disappointed. I ordered a mezze plate – no matter what I tried, everything tasted extremely garlicky and lacked a distinct flavor. The lentil soup was so thick that it was more like pudding – also unconvincing in terms of taste. Overall, the meal didn't live up to my expectations. I won't be visiting the restaurant again.

We came to this restaurant by chance for breakfast (a few months ago now). The concept of ordering at the terminal was different, it meant we had our drinks and food ready rather fast. The food was excellent, really tasty - shame we don't live in Hamburg and can't enjoy it more often.

Excellent Turkish restaurant, food and self service

Unfortunately, it's not as great as it was a year or two ago... the lady you contact if you have any questions didn't speak German. We got a broken water bottle, which we only noticed after we'd finished our drinks. That could have been extremely dangerous. At that point, I thought, "Whatever, it can happen." The vegetarian beyti was completely oversalted in places. I asked if the meat could be replaced in one dish: the lady said no problem. "They'll send back a completely different dish." When I politely pointed this out to her, she accused me of having to throw away three meals because of me. Such a shame.

Anyone who's comfortable with self-service and modern technology and enjoys incredibly delicious Kurdish-Turkish food has to go to bona'me! The menu isn't entirely intuitive, but it's still doable, on tablets at the counter. Orders are placed using an order card and a buzzer, then the buzzer buzzes for the food to be picked up. Finally, payment is made with the order card. The food is second to none. High-quality, hot, beautifully presented, an absolute Hamburg highlight—and a must-see!

Good food and varied. Service is practically nonexistent; you pick up your own dishes, but in my opinion, it's still perfectly fine. When it's very busy, it can get a bit chaotic.

The concept in Hamburg is unfortunately cumbersome: You have to order at the terminal, pick up drinks at a separate station, and the food at another. Requests for changes, such as no ice cream, aren't possible because there's no note function. Normally, I'm used to being asked if it's your first time there or if you're already familiar with the concept – and then it's explained to you. Unfortunately, that's not the case here. Anyone who asks quickly feels like they're disturbing the place. The cashier seemed annoyed and unfriendly to both me and other guests. Anyone familiar with the Bona'me Factory in Cologne will be disappointed: There, you can conveniently order at your table using a QR code, everything is brought to your table, and special requests are no problem. The service is friendly, the process is relaxed – a world of difference for me.

I only go there for the food. The pitas are incredibly good! But if you like a cozy atmosphere and want a drink, you should go somewhere else afterward.

Like Vapiano - self-service... not my thing. I couldn't find some of the dishes on the ordering terminal... The bread for the appetizer platter wasn't fresh anymore, which is a shame. The atmosphere was very loud and very crowded. The Boname iced tea was okay. Okay. In conclusion, okay for a very young crowd.

Turkish restaurant. The breakfast experience was unmissable. It was amazing. However, the cream dish was canned and regular. But everything else was amazing and fresh, especially the simit. The baked goods were amazing.

It was very tasty and the portions were generous. Since it's self-service, you don't have to deal with the staff. Unfortunately, it was very noisy there at lunchtime.

Ordering via the self-service kiosk is super easy and convenient. Overall, a place that not only fills you up, but also makes you happy. 🙏🏼 bona'me is like a mini-vacation for the senses – highly recommended! 💯

Urine on the floor and bad food. The atmosphere is nice and inviting. The food was terrible. You order beyti and get more like a fajita. Crunchy beyti is soaked in oil and consists of 85% vegetables (peppers, onions, etc.), while regular beyti floats like a raft on a lake of yogurt. The pide as an appetizer was great, but I don't think it's a difficult dish to make. The restroom was incredibly dirty and covered in yellow puddles and the smell of urine. I tried to point this out to the cashier, but she just explained that it wasn't urine, saying it was a burst pipe. Overall, I was extremely disappointed, as I had heard so many positive things beforehand. At a price of around €65 for two people, I wouldn't recommend the place. Since the taste of the food is the only thing that matters to me when visiting a restaurant, I'm giving it a one-star overall rating.

I always have positive memories of Bona'me, especially from locations in Hanover, Cologne, and Frankfurt. The Hamburg branch, on the other hand, disappointed me – it bears the same name, but doesn't offer the same high standards, which is why I'm reluctant to go back.

We stopped by for breakfast on a Sunday morning. The ambiance is very nice, partly decorated in an oriental style. Once you've spotted the ordering desks, the self-service isn't all that different from that of well-known fast-food chains, so it's more or less self-explanatory. Only the sensor notification required here has to be integrated into the ordering process. The various dishes are freshly prepared, flavorfully seasoned, and reasonably priced. Freshly squeezed orange juice is available upon request. The staff is very friendly, and the restaurant is very clean in every area. I will definitely come here again when I'm in Hamburg.

I would love to give more stars but unfortunately the service really brought it down. When I came in, I said hello and was just stared at at the entrance. I then said that I had never been there before and the menu was thrown at me without further explanation. I then asked the chef how it worked. When I got to the bar, I wasn't sure whether to use the same buzzer and stood there a bit perplexed because the bar was empty. Then the lady at the entrance came and took the menu and buzzer from me without saying a word, pushed it down and walked away again. Mmmh. What a shame, because the food there is really delicious. I would also recommend that someone point out that salads and dips are ready quickly, because as soon as I sat down outside the buzzer went off. The food itself was good and the portions generous. I would still recommend it, but not without an explanation of how it works. The lack of instructions is reflected in some of the comments. Anyone who has been to Vapiano will get the idea. Still, it would be nice to get some explanations, especially upon request. The prices are okay, although I think they could be lower if it were completely self-service. We had the Mezze II, and it's actually quite a lot for a starter. Still, we're glad we ordered it. It's a nice place to sit and share a few dishes with a glass of wine. The pide also looked very good and will try it another time.

I can definitely recommend the food; it was very, very tasty. Service, where it was, was OK; unfortunately, it's not a waitress restaurant. It was very loud at times, with lots of people and loud music.

Bestellt wird digital, auf eine Karte geladen wie wir es vom Vapiano kennen und man holt sein Essen von der Ausgabe selber. Es hat uns gut geschmeckt und die Portionen waren groß. Wer keine Wartezeiten und türkische Küche mag, ist da gut aufgehoben

The food is really good but they didn't explained their concept at all as we were entering the restaurant. You get an electronic card which has a QR Code on it. There you find the menu. On a terminal you order your food and when it's ready your pager rings. Well not my type of experience but ok. The room is very big so it can easily get very loud.

There are Turkish signs at the entrance to the restaurant, and although almost all the staff speak Turkish, the woman at the counter insists on speaking German, and for some reason, she doesn't want to speak Turkish. If you don't like the Turkish language, then remove the Turkish signs, because we've established ourselves as a Turkish restaurant. Also, the ordering system is complicated. Before you even get to your table, you have to get a card from the cash register, go to the food selection screen, order, then get a number pad, wait for it to light up, and then you have to wait in line for both ordering and payment. I don't think there's any need to endure this ordeal just to enjoy your meal. The lady at the cash register either doesn't speak Turkish or refuses to speak it, so I'm writing in German in case she reads it. I'm here to tell you about Turkish restaurants. When you quickly reach all the Turkish restaurants, you can speak Turkish, best the woman and the place you want, Deutsch is great, weighs are great, Turkish is great. Wenn Sie die türkische Sprache nicht mögen, entfernen Sie die türkischen Schilder, denn wir haben uns als türkisches Restaurant etabliert. Außerdem ist das Bestellsystem komliziert. Sie müssen sich an der Kasse eine Karte holen, bevor Sie überhaupt an Ihren Tisch kommen. I was at Bon Ami in Hamburg yesterday – and I still regret it today. I still have a stomach ache from the food I was served. It tasted stale, was lukewarm in places, and seemed like it came out of a microwave. The service was absolutely chaotic: disorganized, overwhelmed, and unfriendly. We had to wait forever – both for the waitress and for the food. Orders were mixed up, questions were answered in an annoyed manner, and there was no sign of hospitality. The food itself? A disappointment. Tough meat, overcooked side dishes, wilted salad, and a strange-tasting dressing. The whole thing was also poorly presented. And then the highlight: I've had severe stomach pain since that evening. I don't know what went wrong, but it was definitely not hygienic. Conclusion: Never again. If you want to do something good for yourself, stay away from it.

A delicious self-service restaurant in downtown Hamburg. The dishes are delicious and quite large. You'll definitely be full, and the value for money is good. The pide are delicious. You can't tell that the restaurant is part of a chain. Everything is freshly prepared. You order your food at a terminal and then receive a pager that notifies you when the food is ready. The restaurant is stylishly decorated, and you can spend a wonderful evening there. There are tables available for groups, and there's something delicious for everyone. There are vegetarian and meat dishes, pide, mezze, etc. There's also a wide selection of drinks. Selected dishes are also available as part of the lunch deal.

It was our first time there and we were unfortunately a bit disappointed. The salad was wilted, the dressing bland, the falafel tasted like Gorgonzola, and some of the bowls were still dirty.

We stopped by for lunch during our lunch break, and it was not too crowded, tasty, and served fairly quickly. The concept of ordering food via screen and picking it up is also great. A lunch portion for €14.90 is a bit more expensive, but you'll be completely full afterward.

The food was ready in just 5 minutes!!, which is often not a good sign. Unfortunately, it actually wasn't good at all! The hummus was curdled, with no tahini or lemon. My main course, bayti with various vegetables, was cold, and the sauce tasted sour. Unfortunately, I was disappointed!

Once again, a culinary delight. I simply love this place. The atmosphere, the food. Everything was perfect. We had the chicken babuke, Izmir kofte, and sucuklu manti again. Absolutely delicious.

This location is a self-service restaurant/café. The dishes, especially the pasta, are prepared fresh right in front of your eyes, and the other menu items are also freshly prepared. Our pide was truly delicious. The tea is also served in small copper teapots. Overall, a lovely, tastefully and comfortably decorated location. Highly recommended!

Although the restaurant is self-service and has plenty of tables for large groups, we (5 people) felt very comfortable there. The food, which was prepared quickly and freshly, is nothing to complain about! They literally have everything under control; the chefs are very hard-working, clean, and attentive, as is the service at the bar. Turkish cuisine simply can't be beat! We'll be back and will recommend the restaurant. Kudos to the entire team, and thank you for an unforgettable evening! One important point: the menu on the display is unfortunately not in one language. It's a mix of German, English, and Turkish. As a polyglot and fluent in all three languages, I had no problem ordering and understanding the dishes. However, ordering can take significantly longer, and you need a lot of patience, which can be a turn-off for other guests.

I ate here with colleagues for a Christmas party. First of all, the food is absolutely delicious. However, the service and ambiance leave a lot to be desired. With everyone ordering from displays and picking up their food, the restaurant is a bit hectic. Service is almost nonexistent. Our reservation, which was confirmed in writing, was even forgotten, and they had to scramble to find us somewhere. It worked, but it was unpleasant.
