Nebelhorn Marktrestaurant Station Höfatsblick in Oberstdorf

October 10, 2025. It's a nice place to sit and enjoy the view. Snow is falling. Accordingly, the mountain is quiet.

Wow. A beautiful terrace with a view of the Oberstdorf valley and the surrounding peaks. A bit more expensive for the location, of course – logical. Still, for €17, a huge portion of freshly (!) prepared Kaiserschmarrn is perfectly acceptable. The bowl is full of apple sauce, the slightly crispy pancakes are prepared right in front of your eyes. We always enjoy coming back when we're in Oberstdorf. It's self-service, the sales area is logically designed and clean. Prices are a bit higher, of course, but completely reasonable. A 0.5-liter beer costs €5.50, a couple of white sausages with pretzels and sweet mustard €8.90 – cheaper than some restaurants in town – and the aforementioned fresh Kaiserschmarrn costs €16.90. Outside of peak season, the cable cars are included in the Allgäu-Walser card at many hotels, for example, at the Hotel Viktoria in Rubi. Just over a 10-minute drive to the mountain station and you can enjoy a cold beer, Kaiserschmarrn and the view.

We not only ate well here but also cheaply.

We had roulades and spaghetti. Everything was delicious, and the outdoor terrace offered a great view of the mountains. The prices were reasonable.

Not bad for such a prominent location; the Kaiserschmarrn is even freshly prepared. It's clear that you'll be paying a local surcharge for the prices. If you like a cozy atmosphere, this is definitely not the place for you. I can recommend this restaurant to everyone else.

It's a great place to linger and enjoy the magnificent view 😌 but I think offering a Kaiserschmarren (sweet pancake) for €17.50 is a bit excessive. The ticket to the top alone costs €54.80. I think the prices are extremely overpriced, sorry. The cappuccino was okay for the price and tasted great 😌

Service was great, food was rather average. The Kaiserschmarrn was okay, but quite dry, the dumpling trio was good, and so was the Leberkäse (meatloaf). I've had better.

Awesome view, poppy seed cake, and extremely sour sausage salad. Exorbitant prices for both food and drinks. As long as the tourist pays, you can charge them.

We were able to celebrate our wedding in the fireplace room in the market restaurant at the Höfatsblick station. From the inquiry to the planning to the wedding, the contact worked great. On the day of the celebration we were warmly welcomed to the champagne reception with appetizers on the Höfatsblick, our guests were thrilled. The lunch buffet discussed, as well as the dessert, were perfectly prepared and tasted very delicious, many thanks to the kitchen staff from the market restaurant. Drinks were provided throughout the day, every drink request was fulfilled immediately, many thanks to the staff. We are very happy with our wedding celebration in the fireplace room and would celebrate our special day there again and again. Thank you to the whole team for making our big day unforgettable!

Self-service restaurant that mostly serves fast food. We had the worst, most expensive fries (€6.50) we've had in a long time. The staff could be friendlier. The view is, of course, great!

Absolutely amazing! Our stay at the market restaurant with our school classes was, without exaggeration, an experience. We were able to come quite spontaneously with 70 people (many thanks to the very friendly manager and his staff), were given our own dining room, and the food was absolutely delicious. The highlight, however, was the breathtaking view of the Allgäu's main ridge. We'll definitely be back!

Ultimately, I can't judge what's actually freshly prepared here. The yeast dumplings or apple strudel and vanilla sauce didn't look like it. The taste was accordingly.

The hot dishes at brunch weren't exactly amazing, to be honest. The rest of the selection was good. The view is, of course, amazing, and the experience itself and the idea are fantastic. We received this special treat as a gift, but I have to say, if I had bought it myself, I would have been rather disappointed. What was actually quite nice was the ride up when the cable car (finally) worked.

400 Summit Brunch—fast food with a view—is a better description! Lunch at this brunch is the same as at the self-service restaurant. For me, goulash has no place even at an 85-euro brunch. There was also a spit roast that was incredibly tough and a duck that was completely soggy. You won't find any fish or vegetables here; instead, ready-made spaetzle is the exclusive side dish. Dessert is also from the refrigerated section. My conclusion: if you want high-quality food, this is not the place for you.

We celebrated our wedding reception at Höfatsblick and it was fantastic! The champagne reception on the terrace was organized perfectly, the snack and cake buffet in the fireplace room reserved especially for us was more than plentiful and extremely tasty. Our group was looked after completely, never intrusively but always very cordially and professionally. Even special requests were implemented without any problems. Our guests and we were absolutely thrilled and will not soon forget this great afternoon. Thank you!

Hi, You can expect really delicious food, prompt service, and a truly beautiful view here. The staff was very friendly and even took the time for a little chat. I highly recommend the yeast dumplings with vanilla sauce. The prices are reasonable for the quality.

In the buffet system you can take food on a tablet and pay at the checkout. Prices are of course not cheap, but you also get an unforgettable view of the mountains
