Very Disappointing Experience We came from London expecting a great German Döner, but were really disappointed. The manager said he’d make it for us, but added lots of salad and very little meat, even after I asked for no salad. He also charged more than the menu price, which felt dishonest. The Döner was mostly salad, overpriced, and not tasty. The manager’s attitude was arrogant and the service poor. Feels like they take advantage of tourists. Wouldn’t recommend — avoid this place.

Was only in the city for a few hours during a euro trip but stopping by here was a great decision. May have been the best food I had the whole trip. Really nice portions and great staff as well. The restaurant was very spacious too.

They have very tasty chicken doner, with delicious sauce and fresh meat. The service staff is very warm and attentive.

I wanted a small portion of kebab. And I'm kind of asking myself how much money I have, so I'm not going there again.

This portion is quite large for a woman, but perfect for a man. Overall, it's very delicious.

We were disappointed for the second time. On Saturday, we were in Frankfurt city center with family and visitors from the USA. We were in the mood for a kebab, especially my guests, when we went to Nazar. We were treated absolutely unfriendly. One of the six meals never arrived; it was forgotten. Instead of apologizing, we were harassed with the attitude, "What do you want? If it's not right, just leave." The staff were under pressure and only spoke to us in Turkish. The food was a disaster. The plates were filled, but everything was piled on top of each other. We'll never go there again. Sorry, I spend my money where I'm at least welcome and treated well. J. Yari

The food was very good but the Turkish cashier was super rude and unprofessional. I ordered one doner box and when he asked for the drink I said Red Bull and he replied “no Red Bull give money”. I ate at Nazar Döner in Frankfurt and was unfortunately disappointed. There's no receipt or till slip, which doesn't seem very trustworthy. They also call you by name when your food is ready – I wanted to change my nickname, but the response was, "Too late!" He hadn't written anything down yet. The Dürüm Döner was also disappointing: lots of salad, hardly any meat, and overall, pretty bland. I know of much better kebab shops in Frankfurt.

I've had döner kebab many times in Germany, and it generally fell short of my expectations. The flavor was okay, the sauces were nice, but the meat wasn't very generous. There are places in Germany that put enough meat to prevent the bread from closing. The atmosphere is generally pleasant.

I ordered lahmacun, but instead I got a flatbread topped with tomato paste. Even though I specifically stated that I wanted it Turkish style, it was a disappointment. My friend ordered a doner kebab and was very pleased with both the taste and the presentation. However, I didn't have the same experience with the lahmacun, so I can't recommend it.

The workers are sleeping pills. A kebab was served with or without what it was supposed to be without asking. Taste-wise, it was a zero. We threw so much spice on it and it still was just zero. A huge disappointment! I'd gladly give it zero stars or minus stars.

Such mediocre taste and atmosphere in such a location. I wouldn't recommend it. We wanted a nice lahmacun after a tiring day, but we got bread with tomato paste, but there wasn't a gram of ground meat. When ordering, they could have told us it wasn't like the lahmacun in Türkiye and directed us. The seats and the toilet were also in disrepair and dirty.

Simply the best Döner in Frankfurt bar none.

Unfortunately, the sauce on my lahmacun with lamb skewers was no longer good. It tasted weird, and the pickled peppers were spoiled. I was so hungry after work that I ate it despite the off-flavor. My stomach had to be cleaned out with charcoal tablets.

The service after midnight was an absolute disaster. The employees, who seemed to be from India or Afghanistan, looked at us with a disparaging look, as if we'd done something wrong. We just wanted to order something to eat. No one even asked us what we wanted. When the food was finally ready, the plates were carelessly thrown onto the glass counter. My request for spicy seasoning was repeatedly ignored; I was simply ignored. The cashier also didn't give me a receipt. The absolute lowest point: At the end, a small mouse crawled over my feet. My request to such employees: If you don't feel like working, don't. This kind of behavior destroys the livelihoods of people who invest a lot of time, effort, and money in such establishments.

You are being ripped off and charged more than what you ordered

The food wasn't okay. Everything was dry, the staff unfriendly and incompetent. First, they charged me a good €10, and then he wanted three pieces of evidence and a 10-minute discussion so he could give me my money back because he was charging for things we didn't even have. And yes, things like that can happen, but I'm not going to let them call me a liar because the guy behind the counter is apparently cognitively incapable of doing this job.

There are much better kebabs for this price. The price is an absolute rip-off for this quantity. They're very, very economical when it comes to preparation.

I picked up a doner kebab box yesterday and was charged €4.50 more than I should have. I saw this in my online banking this morning and I'm more than shocked.

The staff is always friendly, which is especially important. A good selection of dishes, and you can easily request a change of ingredients. The atmosphere is also pleasant—not noisy, so you can spend a pleasant time chatting and enjoying good food.

I was there on Sunday – surprisingly quiet, which was really nice. The location: wow! I've never experienced a kebab shop so clean and stylish. There were four of us, and we had three kebabs and a kebab plate – all solid, tasted okay, but nothing culinary. The staff was super friendly and really personable. The music was a bit loud, and the restrooms could have been cleaner. Overall, though, a good shop that I'll give another chance!

The food was well cooked and high quality, with a good price and proportion so I can't complain too much. But I got the döner box with rice and honestly it was a bit bland and had no spice. Still pretty decent but maybe it's better to order in a sandwich or wrap that has veggies to add to the flavor?

We're from Karlstadt. When we're nearby, shopping, etc., we always come here. The food is simply delicious and the grilled dishes are fresh. Highly recommended 👍

Disappointing – Not a recommendation Yesterday I went to Nazar Restaurant on the Zeil in Frankfurt and ordered a doner kebab plate. The top part looked good and tasted okay, but the meat underneath was completely dry – almost inedible. It seemed as if they had intentionally put only the good pieces on top. I complained directly to the staff, but unfortunately, there was no response – no apology, no offer to solve the problem. For a restaurant in such a good location, I expect higher quality and, above all, better customer service. This is a rip-off in my opinion. I definitely won't be back.

The kebab is a clean, tasty, standard kebab. No frills, which is a good thing. If I want a delicious kebab like the ones I had as a child, this is the place to go. The salad is very fresh and washed frequently, which is important for pregnant women. The owner is very nice and always polite. I was very satisfied.

I ordered a doner kebab plate and sat at the table so I could watch it being prepared. The man who prepared the doner kebab plate used his hands without gloves to place the lettuce, tomatoes, and other ingredients onto the plate. I ate it anyway, and I paid for it for two days. Two hours after eating, I felt sick and had diarrhea. I also vomited and had a fever. Never again... PS: The owner has already had these reviews deleted!

The food was good, the chicken skewer wasn't dry and the salad had a good dressing. The selection of dishes is large. The food was brought to the table after about ten minutes. Tea is free
