The food is delicious. The atmosphere is like that of a sports club.

By far the best Thai restaurant I know, along with Rim-Wang just around the corner. Very good food, excellent Pad Thai, and consistently fast and delicious service.

Having already been to the Nat Pop beer garden four weeks ago and really enjoyed the food, we were very disappointed this time. The duck soup for the starter, which cost a whopping €11.80, was tasteless, with too little liquid and a few chunks of fatty duck. The noodles were completely overcooked. The main course was also tasteless, with a watery sauce and tough beef. My girlfriend and friends, also Thai, were very disappointed with the quality and lack of taste and some of them sent the food back. In summary, the ambience has the charm of a former GDR restaurant, but the food is abysmally bad and quite expensive compared to other Thai restaurants. Furthermore, the waiting time and service could be improved a lot in my opinion. It's a good thing there are many better Thai restaurants in Karlsruhe.

We drove past it because it's hard to recognize if you're not familiar with the place. From the outside, it's not that great, as it's located in a sports club. But inside, it's very nice. The tables in one area are particularly beautifully set, there are clean restrooms, a small aquarium, and a sports field where kids can run around and parents can have some peace and quiet. It's directly accessible from the outdoor terrace via a staircase. You can even get down there with a wheelchair. (Elevator) The seafood soup (Tom Yum) is amazing, 5 stars. We like spicy food... so we ordered medium-hot, because from experience, we have to be careful with Thai food. It was quite spicy, though. You should be careful with the spice when ordering ;) The soup was generous and "only" €6. Our dishes, "green curry," were €16, which gets 5 stars. And the fried shrimp with vegetables, €17, 3 stars from me. The prawns were very good, but the vegetables tasted slightly burnt.

Yes, very good food and very friendly service. The large terrace is lovely and the seating is very comfortable.

We were there for the first time since the change of management. The service was very friendly. The food was edible, but nothing like before. We had three meat dishes, but there was very little meat and far too many vegetables. The sauces were far too thin, like water. The starters were cooked far too crisply. They still need to work on that to catch up with the previous restaurant. Everything can be changed if you take criticism to heart. One more thing: the table wasn't set at all—just a tablecloth and a half-wilted flower on the table. Maybe we'll try again to see if anything has changed.

We've been eating at Nat Pob regularly for many years, including a few days ago with four people. Although surprised by the change in management, we took note of the significantly slimmed-down menu without prejudice and ordered our favorite dishes. Of the three starters, two were quite okay, but the soup tasted strongly of instant porridge and wasn't particularly tasty. However, all four of us were very disappointed with the main courses. The duck dishes had clearly been reheated in a microwave and were therefore served with flabby skin. The excessive vegetables (presumably intended to compensate for the reduced amount of meat) were a frozen convenience product, which was evident from the crinkly cut. The sauces had the consistency of soups and were quite tasteless. Overall, we were very disappointed and won't be eating here again.

We were long-time regulars at the previous restaurant, and it was a family tradition to dine there for birthdays. After the new "crew" and menu unexpectedly surprised us, we still wanted to approach the obviously changed things positively and openly, so we ordered with anticipation. The appetizers were okay, except for one soup that tasted extremely artificial. The main courses, however, blew us away – unfortunately, not with enthusiasm. Our impression was more than just an overabundance of frozen vegetables in small bowls, presumably to "spice up" the reduced quantities of meat and fish. Wobbly duck skin, tough beef, and sauces with a soupy consistency all reminded us equally of microwaved convenience foods. This has nothing to do with authentic cuisine once you've gotten to know and appreciate it. One server was very friendly, even though she held out her plate for everyone to pick up themselves. Despite her cheerful disposition, she couldn't "save" anything, especially not when another server silently cleared away the dishes, albeit only half to begin with... We almost fell into mourning for our beloved restaurant and unfortunately won't be coming back.

I was there with a friend. The service was super nice and friendly. The food selection is good, including some vegetarian options. Our food (chicken and duck) arrived in a reasonable time and was delicious and fresh. The terrace is very nice. We highly recommend the restaurant and would be happy to return.

A wait of 1 hour and 15 minutes for food is absolutely abysmal! When we finally asked for more after almost an hour, we were served spring rolls "on the house." The food itself was bland, and the ingredients were skimped on. It was also obvious that they used frozen vegetables. Never again!

If you're willing to wait 45 minutes for your drinks and then get your food before the drinks, this is the place for you. One main course didn't arrive until everyone else was finished. The food doesn't taste as good as it did before the change of ownership...oh yeah, and there was no apology either... I won't be going there again...

We've been here for the second time this summer, following a change of management. After the first visit, we were a bit overlooked by the somewhat slow service, only to be completely disappointed after our second visit. Before the change of management, Nat Pob was one of our favorite restaurants. After today's experience, we probably won't be going back. We did check that our order took a little longer, but we were very annoyed that more than half an hour after ordering, the drinks were still not served, even after complaining twice. Meanwhile, the starters had already been served, and the drinks still hadn't arrived. Almost at the same time as the drinks, the first main meals arrived. Unfortunately, even after further complaints, the meals our son and daughter-in-law ordered only arrived 15 minutes later. When paying, I explicitly complained again about the poor service. But there was no apology, just some flimsy excuses. I definitely don't need that anymore! The restaurant won't see us again anytime soon.

We went there for the first time yesterday and were all very pleased with the food. All the dishes were delicious and authentic. We'll definitely be back.

Today I had lunch with the new owner. It was delicious and the service was friendly. I highly recommend it.

Unfortunately, I don't recommend it. The food wasn't good, far too oily, and the tofu had the consistency of a shoe sole. The service was nice, but they initially delivered incorrect orders and left empty plates, which were then cleared away later. The ambiance was okay.

There's been a new change at the Nat-Pob Thai Restaurant. The owner owns Bangkok Foodland on Leopoldstrasse. I already knew we'd get good food :-) There were two of us, and the food was delicious as always. The service was very friendly and attentive, and the prices were also very reasonable. My colleague had the schnitzel and was very satisfied.

We wanted to get a feel for how the food tastes under the new owner. I was skeptical at first, but I have to say that the food tastes much more original than under the previous owner, which I really appreciate after many years of vacationing in Thailand! The terrace is still very cozy, especially with the fairy lights in the evenings. Very delicious, I highly recommend it.

The food is delicious. The restaurant has the charm of a run-down sports clubhouse. The terrace is a better choice in summer. Update: The restaurant will open for the last time under the current tenant on June 29, 2025. Starting July 5, 2025, it will have a new tenant, as a notice indicates... It remains to be seen what will be on offer then.

If you already offer lunch, you should be prepared for customers who want to eat something during their lunch break. After 50 minutes of waiting, I received the wrong food and complained about it. The food I ordered was about to arrive. After another 20 minutes the food still wasn't there. Then I left hungry. Will never enter this restaurant again

We've been regulars for years and were always satisfied because you could pre-order your food and it would be served quickly. But now that's no longer possible – and since then, the wait times have been a disaster. The last three visits: at least 40 minutes of waiting time, often even an hour. Absolutely unacceptable for a lunch break! The owner doesn't seem to think it's necessary to address this. We were always a group of 6-8 people, so we've stopped coming – but that doesn't seem to matter. Also, you now have to pay at the front counter because otherwise the cashier takes too long – and even then, you often wait in line. This was our last visit!

We ordered for lunch for pickup, and the food wasn't particularly good. The beef salad had good beef but only a single leaf of lettuce. Where's the lettuce?! I'm very disappointed; it used to be better. I wouldn't order from here again.

Unfortunately very disappointed, I had read the reviews beforehand. Taste is a matter of opinion, mine wasn't at all indefinable. Even if it is in the premises of a sports facility, you can make it somewhat inviting. The Thai flair didn't come across here. The food was nothing. Apart from trying 5 forks and picking I went back completely. In my opinion this has nothing to do with Thai cuisine. It's a shame, when I paid I wasn't asked how it tasted, I think they saw the full plate. Due to the negative review, the post may be deleted, but I like to look at the reviews to decide whether I should try something or not. Hence my honest impression of the visit.

The food is great in terms of taste and quality. Fresh, firm vegetables, the meat tender as butter. The sauce is a dream! Unfortunately we had to wait longer before we could place our order, but this was due to the restaurant being quite full and there was only one service. But she made up for everything with her extremely courteous and friendly manner. Price/performance is definitely right here. As far as possible, the "hall" (club size) was decorated quite nicely. The number of parking spaces is also an advantage.

Quite ok, the taste was fine, you could eat well if you were hungry. But I definitely wouldn't eat there again. Food was very oily and was more reminiscent of a fast food joint than a restaurant. The smell accompanied me all the way home (clothes). However, the staff was very friendly and accommodating, so it was rated OK! The best thing about the visit was that I didn't have to pay for my own food! ;)

I came here for the first time yesterday on the recommendation of neighbors. I knew the sports hall, the restaurant only by name. Very solid Thai with a very fair price-performance ratio. Nice terrace/beer garden. Neither the ambience nor the service seem to be Thai. (Service was moody, funny but a bit slow). The food is authentic, freshly prepared and delicious. I'd love to do it again!

The best Thai cuisine for me and you in Karlsruhe. We've been going there for years. Service is also top and attentive.

Unfortunately, the unfriendly, even sloppy service and the endlessly long waiting time spoiled the mood. The food was very tasty. However, we then had to wolf it down or have it packed up to take away because we didn't have any more time. It was said at the beginning that it would take “a little” longer. However, we waited 45 minutes for the starters (spring rolls) and then ANOTHER 45 minutes for the main courses. There were only mushy answers in response. Instead of at least asking if they can somehow make it up to them. I come from the catering industry myself and I would have gotten in trouble from my boss for such statements and excuses.

The best Thai restaurant! We wanted the food to be spicy (as it sometimes happens in Germany that spicy isn't really spicy), but the food was really spicy and incredibly tasty - just as I imagined. The salads in particular were fantastic.

Cards short and Thai. I found it good, quite for the remote location. Parking spaces!

Always happy. Good food at reasonable prices, attentive, friendly service, nice terrace with a view of the sports field, the inside has a bit of a Thai feel, but it still remains a club restaurant, but that doesn't matter.

Food delicious, as always, but the packaging of the leftovers intended to be taken away is poor, once again. We had asked for the main course and rice to be packed separately, but our request was ignored! Unfortunately, this isn't the first time this has happened. We were told that there wasn't enough packaging material. In the past they wanted at least 50 cents for it, which would be ok. We won't be going back there any time soon.

Typical club restaurant, so you can't really speak of ambience. But the food and service are great. It's a Christmas Day tradition for us and has been for years. We are already looking forward to the next visit.

Maybe adjust the opening times on Google next time you're on vacation, you'll save yourself the trip and the disappointment!

Guten Tag, kurzes Feedback, hatte letzten Dienstag Essen bestellt u. abgeholt. Alles hat gepasst, - nur leider die 91 war mit TOFU und da hatte ich ausdrücklich am Telefon drum gebeten es ohne Tofu zu bekommen und das wurde auch bestätigt. Nur war dann doch TOFU drin. Schade. Aber nun auch was positives, das Essen wieder sehr gut und auch die Suppe: einfach Klasse !! Wie immer. gerne bis zum nächsten Mal. Einer der besten thailänder in Karlsruhe

Ich fand es gab viel Auswahl an Gerichten mit Tofu, Schweinefleisch, Ente, Garnelen oder Oktopus. Bei den meisten Speisen gab es einen leeren Teller und eine Schüssel mit dem ausgewählten Gericht enthalten. Der Reis wurde in einer großen Schüssel mit Deckel für den ganzen Tisch serviert, sodass man sich nach Bedarf selbst schöpfen konnte. Auch der Service war sehr aufmerksam und super freundlich. Wofür ich meist auch dankbar bin, es ist Kartenzahlung möglich. Da mein Gericht sehr groß war, wurde mir auch problemlos die Mitnahme angeboten. War ein sehr angenehmer Besuch in großer Runde und würde es vor allem auch Preis-Leistungs wegen weiterempfehlen und wieder besuchn. Ggf. sollte noch erwähnt werden, dass es super Parkmöglichkeiten hinter dem Haus hat und da es im Industriegebiet liegt parken überall gut möglich ist. Auch mit der Bahn von Mühlburg aus ist es fußläufig gut erreichbar.

Einer meiner Lieblings- Thais in Karlsruhe. Bei gutem Wetter gibt es eine schöne Terrasse. Abholen war noch nie ein Problem. Die Bedienungen sind stets freundlich. Immer gerne wieder!

Mein Lieblingsrestaurant. Das Essen schmeckt hier immer sehr gut. Große Portionen, nehme manchmal auch mit nach Hause. Ich empfehle Wantan (beste süß sauer sauce),sind sehr knusprig und die Füllung sehr lecker, Entengericht 202 und 150 bei Rindfleischgerichten. Ich finde das curry schmeckt hier ganz anders, einzigartig. Nicht wie bei anderen Restaurants. Es sieht schön aus im Restaurant, die tischdecken passen sehr gut. Man fühlt sich wohl. Es dauert zwar immer etwas länger bis das Essen kommt aber die Bedienung ist jedes Mal sehr freundlich❤️🌷.

Ein gut besuchtes Vereinslokal. Die Bedienung war freundlich - das Essen kam, obwohl das Restaurant voll belegt war, relativ schnell. Das Aussehen der Speisen war thailändisch – der Geschmack hat mich eher an eine deutsche Gross-Kantine erinnert. Diesen Kommentar habe ich auch der Bedienung am Ende gemacht und sie hat mir den Tipp gegeben, das nächste Mal bei der Bestellung zu sagen, dass ich original thailändisch essen will. Diesen Tipp will ich hier weitergeben. Zum besseren Verständnis - ich lebe seit ca. 7 Jahren überwiegend in Thailand.

Im Nat Pob ist man zu jeder Zeit willkommen. Das eher unscheinbare Restaurant ist immer gut besucht. Der Service ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Die Speisen sind sehr gut. Ob zum Mittagstisch oder am Abend. Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis stimmt durch und durch. Danke, bitte weiter so.

Leckeres thailändisches Essen. Im Sommer mit grosser Außenterrasse. Und seit der Erweiterung des Parkplatzes immer genügend Platz fürs Auto.

Das Essen ist sehr lecker. Vielleicht etwas mehr Würze, aber man kann selber nachwürzen. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und fleißig. Im Vorfeld wurden wir darauf hingewiesen, daß bedingt durch 2 Geburtatsgsfeiern, beim Essen eine Wartezeit von 1 Stunde eingeplant werden muss. Das fand ich sehr gut und fair. Trotz der Wartezeit ging dann alles sehr zügig. Das Ambiente ist durch okay. Die Herrentoilette, war blitzeblank sauber. So, gefällt mir das. Da, komme ich jedenfalls gerne wieder zum Essen. Sehr Empfehlenswert 👍💯

Sehr leckeres Essen und aufmerksame und freundliche Bedienung.

Zwischen 12:00 und 13:00 Uhr sehr viele Gäste, von den umliegenden Firmen, daher kleinere Wartezeiten bis zu 15-20 Minuten. Eine Tagessuppe, Selbstbedienung voraus, inzwischen die Getränke bekommen und kurz darauf ein Thai-Gericht auf einem Teller serviert bekommen. Relativ viel, authentisch zubereitet und gewürzt mit allen Thai-Gewürzen die ich kenne. Für echte Thai Kenner kann nachgewürzt werden mit original Würzmischungen, Nam Pla, Sambal, Chilipulver (Atombombengewürz), sauer Essig. Salz, Pfeffer und Maggi für die Langweiler. Insgesamt für den Mittagstisch, Preis Leistung sehr gut und dann noch schmackhaft. Kann ich nur weiterempfehlen. Parkplätze ausreichend vorhanden, notfalls auf dem Handball-Hartplatz = ausgeschildert hinter der Lokalität. Wurde von meiner Tochter eingeladen.

Freundlicher Service aber total überlastet. Deutlich über eine Stunde aufs Essen gewartet, was in meinem Fall auch noch ziemlich geschmacksneutral war. Anderen am Tisch hat es aber geschmeckt!

Freundlicher Empfang. Gute , abwechslungsreiche, frisch zubereitete Speisen. Daher einige Zeit mitbringen. Essen wird derzeit leider teilweise auf einen Teller serviert. (Reis, Gemüse und Fleisch, etc.). Hierdurch wirkt der Teller sehr überladen. Schade. Das Essen sollte wieder, wie vor kurzem obligat, auf verschiedenen Platten, einschl. Warmhalteplatten serviert werden, denn: das Auge isst mit....

Leckeres und authentisches Essen. Viel Platz in den Raümen. Im sommer, Tolle Terrasse im grün. Von der Südtangente gut erreichbar. Mit dem Bahn auch.
