Nana – Meze & Wine in München

A small restaurant with seating inside and outside. Typically Israeli. Dishes were also very good (falafel and hummus). I sat down to eat with my teenage son who was moderately hungry. In Israel, we would order a plate of falafel, hummus, pitas and pickles. The price should cover everything (possibly excluding pickles). There wasn't such an option here, so we had to share a falafel plate (four balls for €9!), hummus plate for everyone (approx. €9 - fits). The pitas are not included! You have to order these separately (very untypically Israeli). I also wanted Baba Ganoush and got a small bowl for €5 (expensive). To save money, I avoided pickled or spicy foods. We enjoyed the food, the shop wasn't unfull (as it was after 2 p.m.) but unfortunately it wasn't cheap (just under €40, with drinks). On Sundays our favorite restaurant on Berg-am-Laim Str. is closed, so we had to avoid it! The food is very suitable for vegans and vegetarians.

Nice Israeli restaurant. A relatively small place, bustling with life. We ordered shakshuka, hummus, labana, falafel and Israeli salad. The portions are small with emphasis on the salad and the labana. In my opinion, a bit expensive and does not justify the price.

The Hummus was so good that we jumped right into finishing it without making any picture 😅 the hummus is so goooooood, creamy, soft, tasty. I can eat thus kind of vegetarian food again and again 😆

Unfortunately too narrow and poorly managed. Food was top and tasty. But if there are four of you already sitting cramped at the counter and the idea of ​​adding two more people comes to mind, it's clearly not well thought out and not in the best interests of the guest. And: we were in the middle of eating when we were asked to move. In the end it was the two new guests who exercised common sense and didn't allow themselves to be squeezed in as well. Conclusion: Your restaurant is very full of chairs. If demand is so high, why not move and leave a little more space between seats this time. As a guest you still have to feel comfortable somehow. :-)

Absolutely perfect for a drink on a warm summer evening. But it is also very cozy and tasty to eat here, for both small and large appetites. Very nice staff. Great ambience. :)

It's always nice at Nana's, especially in the nice bar garden. However, the tables are really a challenge for all guests because they consist of two parts, which you cannot see and any movement or collision can be dangerous for the drinks on the table. Food and service are friendly. But now it has become quite expensive.

How often have I wished for a restaurant like this, where everything is coordinated and combinable: ambience and flair, selection of food and drinks, seating options and prices. What can I say - I was completely happy after my visit. Be sure to go in a small group and try the menu once, you won't forget the evening. For me it has absolute potential as a regular customer and it won't be the last time! (Shoutout to Johann for the incredibly nice service! :))

Very small portions, everything is ridiculously over priced for what it is. The quality of the food is below average. Especially the bread is very stale and the Shakshuka is bland and boring. Most Arabic places around Hauptbahnhof are way better. All in all I would not recommend going.

Went for a walk in Haidhausen without a plan and walked past Nana, and as curious as we were, we walked in straight away. We were greeted very friendly and served immediately, the cappuccino was extremely good and the chocolate halva tart was a dream. We also ordered mezes, mixed pickles, Israeli cucumber in brine and beetroot salad with bulgur served with warm white bread. For drinks, a large selection of various alcoholic beverages, we are planning a joint evening visit. A wonderful restaurant!

Nana is small and delicate. There isn't that much space and when the store is full it gets cozy. I found the food very good. Not extravagant, but rather simply well prepared. The prices are not very low, but within reason. I'd love to come back. Reservations are required in the evening!

Essen, Service und Ambiente sind super hier. Dennoch kann ich nicht gutheißen, was wir und auch andere Tische als „Rechnung“ an den Tisch bekommen haben. Ich will niemanden etwas Böses unterstellen, aber Rechnungsvorschauen sind eben keine Rechnungen. Dinge wie abgerechnete Mehrwertsteuer etc. fehlen hier komplett. Falls das euer Kassensystem nicht besser kann, würde ich mich schnell um ein neues kümmern, sonst klopft bald die Steuerfahndung an der Tür…

Die Bedienung war sehr gastfreundlich, zuvorkommend und großzügig. Das Essen war angenehm gewürzt und der Wein war sehr gut. Wir haben hier einen gelungenen Abend verbracht.

Essen gut, Lokal zu kalt für Winter, Sitzgelegenheiten spartanisch + ungemütlich. WC Türen, man hofft die Küche schaut anders aus.

Cozy, delicious dishes and unusual drinks.

I am very positively surprised. It was a spontaneous decision. We wanted to eat and drink something with my girlfriend and walked through the streets for a long time until we saw this beautiful restaurant. Very cozy, very friendly, the two waitresses are really nice girls. The Israeli food and wine convinced me. It's worth trying. We have positive experiences with this restaurant and we recommend it!!! Thanks!!!

A nice little discovery. The restaurant works best in summer, when not only is there a small, tightly packed indoor area, but visitors can also eat outside. The menu is relatively small, the dishes are super tasty and it's worth ordering and trying several. Service is nice, but not entirely professional - although that somehow fits with the store.

So far it is my favourite Israeli restaurant in Münich. Meze are delicious -I tried hummus with lamb, feta, champions, and salad, and all of them were super tasty. The drinks are also really good. The general atmosphere is pretty cosy and chill, so it’s a perfect place for a date or meeting with friends without feeling uptight. ;) and you can also share all the meze, which is great. The girls working there were super nice and smiley which made the whole experience even better. Highly recommend stopping by. :)

So lecker und einfach und absolut gut. Kleines Lokal mit guten Speisen. Getränke ist lecker, Physiallis und Ingwer, ein Traum.

Der Abend hier war ein schönes Erlebnis. Das Essen, die Stimmung und die Bedienung waren super. Ich empfehle von allen Gerichten etwas zu essen. Am besten zusammen bestellen und durchprobieren.

Der Hummus war sehr gut. Die Limo war ok. Ich habe eine Stunde auf ein Gericht gewartet, nur um später zu erfahren, dass die Kellnerin nicht zugehört hat, bzw. ich sehr deutlich bestellt habe. Hat sich überhaupt nicht entschuldigt und beim Bezahlen weder Trinkgeld erwartet. Als ich bezahlt habe, hat sie Polnischen gemacht und das war's.

Charmantes Restaurant, gute Preis. Definitiv eine Empfehlung ein München, insbesondere bei Sommernächten auf der Terrasse!

Die Speisekarte ist zwar recht überschaubar, dafür ist alles sehr lecker. Im Sommer empfiehlt es sich, draußen zu sitzen und wenn man nach 19:00 Uhr kommt, unbedingt reservieren!

Wir waren zu 2. spontan an einem Samstag Abend dort - zum Glück relativ früh, denn ab 19 Uhr war das Restaurant voll! Man kann super draußen sitzen und der Service war sehr aufmerksam und zuvor kommend. Auch Nachbestellungen sind unproblematisch! Das Essen war durch die Bank weg hervorragend - vom Pitabrot über Hummus, Zhug oder die krossen Falafel: Alles hervorragend und frisch, also genau so wie es sein sollte. Absolut empfehlenswert und wir kommen gerne wieder!

Gut geeignet für ein paar Drinks / Wein mit Essen als Begleitung. Lecker Weine zu vernünftigen Preisen. Die Essenskarte ist übersichtlich aber die Gerichte lecker zubereitet. Sehr freundlicher und aufmerksamer Service.

Leider hat sich in meinem Auberginen-Dip ein großer Nachtfalter versteckt. Nachdem ich das Personal darauf aufmerksam gemacht habe, wurde damit - peinlich berührt - eher unbeholfen umgegangen, was mich daran zweifeln lässt, auch weiterhin dort zu essen. Die sonstigen Male war das Essen, v.a. das Shakshuka in seinen verschiedenen Ausprägungen super, wenn auch die Preise für die kleinen Salate, Champignons etc. recht stramm sind.

One of the favourite places in the city! Delicious food, always good and friendly service. All kinds of shakshuka and hummus worth trying but my top recommendation: red shakshuka and hummus with meat (so yummy!). You are also can order you food for take away which is convenient when the place is full. But you should call and check before, because sometimes the kitchen is super busy

Since the only Kosher restaurant in Munich was closed during our stay, we decided to try this Israeli restaurant with mostly vegetarian food. We arrived round 19:20 during a weekday, waited around 40 minutes for a table and only got food over 30 minutes after we placed our order. (Which only included Hummus and falafel) The waiter kept telling us “not to worry” while other tables received their order. The Hummus was ok and the falafel was mediocre. They do appear to have some Israeli wines and beer, but lack the Israeli hospitality. Would not come back again.

Not enough light inside for me and the crockery was chipped 😒 but the food was fine and the atmosphere inside as well.
