Gestern das erste Mal ein indisches Restaurant besucht. Wir, sechs Personen, waren die einzigen Gäste. Es dauerte recht lange bis die bestellten Getränke kamen und noch länger bis die Speisen aufgenommen wurden. Der Sevice rat sich etwas schwer. Ich hatte Butter Chicken mit Schärfegrad 2 bestellt was immer noch recht mild war. Die Qualität des Fleisches war gut aber die Gewürze waren nicht meins. Die Nachfrage ein Video für Facebook zu machen haben wir abgelehnt. Nach dem Essen bestellte ich noch einen Cappucino. Es kam eine milchige Brühe welche ich nicht angenommen habe. Die Kaffeemaschine sei defekt. Mein Fazit: Das wsr mein erster und letzter Besuch in einem indischen Restaurant.

Waren letzte Woche das erste Mal im Namaste. Super Essen, sehr freundliche Bedienung. Sehen uns garantiert wieder.

Es war einfach ein sehr gutes Essen in einem schönen stimmigen Ambiente. Und der Koch weiß mit den Gewürzen hervorragend umzugehen. Es schmeckt wie ich es in Indien kennen gelernt habe. Den Schärfegrad kann man in fünf Stufen bestimmen. Absolut empfehlenswert. Der Service passte auch und das Ambiente war nicht zu überladen indisch. Es stimmte einfach alles. Werden auf alle Fälle wieder kommen.

Komme grade aus Indien und habe das vegane Essen hier im Lokal sehr genossen. Freue mich schon mehr aus der Karte auszuprobieren. Vielen Dank!

Das Essen wird frisch zubereitet. Man kann jedes Gericht individuell schärfen lassen. Schärfegrad 1-5 ist möglich. Der Service ist super freundlich und sehr hilfsbereit. Wir werden wiederkommen.

Gestern sind wir zum ersten Mal dorthin gegangen. Das Essen war super lecker, besonders die Hauptgerichte. Der Service war sehr gut und das Personal war sehr freundlich. Ich kann das Restaurant nur empfehlen und komme gerne wieder.

Wir war zu gerade zum erstmal dort ( 3 Personen Frau, Kind , Mann ) und sind positiv beeindruckt, Service, Geschmack, Sauberkeit, Präsentation der Speisen und Kinderfreundlich. Alles Top kommen gerne wieder und empfehlen es auch gerne Weiter.

Waren heute zum ersten Mal hier. Was soll ich sagen, es war einfach ein bisschen wie Urlaub. Das Lokal ist gemütlich und sehr liebevoll dekoriert. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Und das Essen ist einfach nur lecker. Die Kombination aus Gerüche und Geschmack...einfach nur himmlisch. Wir gehen da sehr gerne noch öfter hin, es gibt noch viele Gerichte zum ausprobieren.

Heute ging es zum ersten mal hierhin. Da ich originale indische Küche aus Pune kenne bin ich immer ein wenig kritisch... Zur Vorspeise gab es Samosa, zum Hauptgang Butter Chicken für meine Holde sowie Lamm Korma für mich, begleitet von einem Knoblauch Naan und leckerem Kingfisher. Was soll ich sagen ? Superlecker. Wir kommen garantiert wieder. Auch die Mitarbeiter sind einfach freundlich. Danke für ein leckeres Mahl und einen sehr angenehmen Abend.

Das Essen war sehr,sehr lecker bei einem guten Preis-Leistungsverhältnis.Eine große Auswahl an Gerichten, auch mit Paneer. Schärfegrad könnt ihr auswählen. Sehr netter aufmerksamer Service. Ich werde auf jeden Fall wiederkommen

Ich war gestern dort und kann Folgendes sagen: Ein sehr schönes Lokal mit qualitativ hochwertigem indischem Essen. Der Besitzer und das Personal sind überaus freundlich und achten sehr auf Sauberkeit. Ich kann einen Besuch wärmstens empfehlen.

Waren mit der Mannschaft mit 16 Personen da. Schnelles sehr sehr gutes Essen und gute Portionsgröße!

It was okay. We ordered. They forgot the mango lassi once, and now the food is way too spicy even though we only ordered medium, so we couldn't eat it. Never again.

We were there on Saturday afternoon. It wasn't very busy. The staff is very friendly and attentive. The seating is comfortable, there's plenty of Christmas decoration, and the menu offers a good selection. The delicious mango lassis arrived quickly. The food took a little while to arrive, but proper cooking takes time. The roti and naan were clearly cooked in a good oven and tasted great. The rice was also very good. We had Murgh khazana, a chicken stuffed with spinach, and Baingan Mughlai, an eggplant stuffed with spice. Everything was very tasty and, at a spice level of 2, sufficiently spicy for us. Overall, everything was good. A close 5 stars, as the prices added up were a bit high.

Can it be more than 5 stars? Food = fantastic Service = friendly and attentive Ambiance = one star deducted for the (in my opinion, inappropriate) Christmas decorations. All in all, it's begging for a repeat visit, because the delicious food was definitely worth more than 5 stars. The three of us shared a vegetarian and a meat appetizer platter, and for our main courses, we had one vegetarian option and one meat option. There could easily have been enough for four of us, and we're guaranteed to be just as satisfied! Thank you so much, dear chef, for this culinary delight and the many different delicious dishes.

Very friendly service and the food was excellent.

The advertised lunch menu is a scam because there are no lunchtime opening hours. The restaurant is only open in the evenings, and pickup/delivery is not available at lunchtime either. It is completely closed on Tuesdays. Nevertheless, a lunch menu is published for Monday through Friday (including Tuesday).

We ordered takeaway food. Every single dish lacked aroma or any kind of flavor. You could really tell that the chicken was fried first and then a different sauce was slapped on top. At least the naan was okay.

Never again. The price-performance ratio is terrible, the food is tasty, but you're better off not ordering the wine. The staff is completely overwhelmed, but very friendly.

Unfortunately, my chicken was very dry. The price-performance ratio, given the relatively high prices, wasn't right in my opinion. I found the service clumsy and inexperienced, and the atmosphere was spoiled by the video being shot for the Instagram channel.

Ordered a delivery through Uber Eats , the restaurant excepted the order and according to tracking even prepared it. Now after more than hour of waiting with tracker showing tha courier arrived at the restaurant to get an order it was cancelled without explanation or offering any alternative. Horrible experience to wait so long for your food after a hard day and without any notification to realise that it's not coming at all. So disappointing. Would not recommend.

A delicious chance discovery. While looking for a restaurant while passing through, we ended up here and had a really good meal. You can choose the spice level for each dish. Levels 2 and 3 are highly recommended. Everything was fresh.

September 2025: Another visit and just as great an experience as last time! Found the parking this time, and there were plenty. Spice level 6 is the ultimate!! I'd be happy to come back 👍 July 2025: Very friendly staff, greeted right at the entrance. Lovely ambiance. Delicious starter plate. Main courses with the perfect spice level: they cater to special requests: Indian spicy goes up to level 5, and they even prepared a level 6 for me, which wasn't on the menu! Just right 🌶 Clean restrooms. Main courses are expensive, everything else is moderately priced. Card payments accepted, dogs allowed. The restaurant has ample parking, which we had overlooked and had to search for a while.

The food is truly excellent, and the service is very friendly and competent. The Thali, a selection of many different dishes, was outstanding, and everything tasted great. I'd gladly go back!

I've always been skeptical about Indian food: I thought I wouldn't like it because I'd heard that Indian food uses a lot of spices and is often very spicy. However, my friend persuaded me to try something at this restaurant, and I have to say, I was very pleasantly surprised. We were given crusty bread with three dips as a starter. It tasted unusual but very delicious. I ordered "Butter Chicken" (Note: Or did you mean "Butter Naan"? "Butter hairs" isn't a common term) and a garlic naan flatbread. I could even choose how spicy I wanted it: not spicy at all, medium, or hot. I loved that. The bread was brought straight from the oven and tasted delicious. The dishes were kept beautifully warm in pans with candles, and the flavors were very balanced. I highly recommend everyone to try it.

Fantastic food, warm hosts, and a great atmosphere. This restaurant is truly wonderful and definitely worth a visit. I would recommend it to anyone who loves Indian food. The food here is truly delicious.

Six of us visited the restaurant today for my mother's birthday and briefly immersed ourselves in an Indian dreamland. The service was warm and very attentive. The decor was lovely, and everything was very clean. The food was absolutely fantastic. From the appetizers (you definitely have to try the vegetable platter) to the incredibly delicious main courses, each with up to five different spice levels, it was simply fantastic. The dessert rounded everything off, and we've decided we've found an Indian gem in the heart of Essen Kray and are looking forward to our next visit.

The service was very friendly and attentive. You could tell they were happy to have you come for dinner. You immediately felt welcome. The butter chicken and naan were excellent. I highly recommend this restaurant. Top!!!!

We ate here for the first time today and were really impressed. Right from the start we were greeted very warmly and served in a friendly manner throughout. The starters and main course were very tasty and well seasoned. Selecting the level of spiciness is very helpful. On top of that, there is also delicious Stauder on tap. Highly recommended. 🙏🏻🤝🏻

It was a nice visit. The atmosphere comes of a bit cheap - but they manage to turn it into cute by having really polite and friendly staff. The food is delicious. You can choose your spice level which is always a good idea at an Indian restaurant :) but last time we where there the advertised spice level didn’t really transfer to the food. That’s a bit unfortunate. All in all - a great recommendation for a cute Indian meal.

An exceptionally good Indian restaurant! The levels of spiciness can be selected. The dishes taste very aromatic. Vegan and gluten-free food is marked. The service is nice. The ambience has been pleasantly redesigned (even though it is the premises of a former middle-class schnitzel restaurant). The tables are not placed too close together, so you can spend a really nice and culinary stimulating evening there. We would love to come back.

What a pleasure it was to try out this relatively new store today. I don't know if it's still considered an insider tip, but it was noticeably too empty for a restaurant of this quality. It's cozy, tasty, the service is extremely nice and happy to explain all the dishes. There are even selectable levels of spiciness from 1 to 5 for everything, although I thought 4 (medium Indian spiciness) was great, but the others preferred to stick with 2 (medium European spiciness). On Sundays you can also park on the street for free.

Now in a new location, Essen Kray near Kray train station. Before that, the friendly operators were in Essen Werden. Highly recommended for singles, couples, families and/or a group such as an excursion, company party or Christmas party. Highly recommended, the large selection of dishes, individual orders are also taken into account. The spiciness of the spices can be selected from 1 to 5. However, I don't know anyone who survived the 5 without any heat.

We went there for the first time after I saw a post on Insta and what can I say... Super tasty... super nice... great value for money. The food was really tasty and we really enjoyed it. The ambience still gives an idea of ​​the old restaurant, the sanitary facilities are clean, but could do with a renovation. We felt very comfortable and will definitely come back.

It's great that we finally have an Indian kitchen in Kray. Hopefully he stays. We were very happy there. We were personally greeted and shown to our table. Ordering and receiving the food was super quick. The food was very tasty. We'll definitely come back.

We were there as a couple. My husband was happy with the food and beer (Stauder in a bottle), but for me I had a problem: I ordered Indian red wine and lamb korma. At first there was no Indian wine available. Okay, then another one please - it came in a cognac snifter (!). When I pointed out that this was a cognac glass and that I would like one for wine, it was corrected. But it was very irritating... The lamb's sauce actually only tasted like salt. There was a hint of ginger, but no coconut milk at all. And the lamb also consisted of dry, perhaps 5 mm thin slices that even the sauce couldn't really save. Okay, the waitress was very nice, made every effort (even though she poured the wine into a cognac glass...) and we didn't have to pay for the oversalted food. - but a nice, successful evening in the restaurant looks different.

We ordered two main courses today. We paid 45 euros at the door. Restaurant price!!! I can only say it like it is: the quantity for the price is a disgrace!!! Less than a children's or senior's plate elsewhere. You also had to look for the meat in the dish. The "little bit" of food tasted good, but if I spend such a sum I want to at least be full and neither of us are big eaters. It's a shame we've ordered twice now, for the first and last time. March 28, 2024 - This restaurant apparently hired a law firm to delete my bad review because it "violated his personal rights" and I was never a customer. What a dishonest way to deal with unhappy customers. Because of course, after almost 3 years (!) I no longer have any proof of having eaten here. I can only give this contact with the restaurant owner one star. Original review: Attention: Just because a local restaurant is good doesn't automatically mean that their delivery service is too - I discovered this the hard way. I ordered for €47.70, the website states that delivery is free within a 10km radius. I live 12km from the restaurant - the delivery person charged me 57 euros, so almost 5€ per extra kilometer driven! A little surprised, I gave the delivery person €60 without indicating that the remaining €3 was a tip - but he probably took that for granted and left immediately without at least saying thank you. The statement “with salad” should also be treated with caution. Without exaggeration, there were perhaps 1-2 tablespoons of bland, mixed (not at least typically Indian) warm salad in a box along with the meat. Likewise the side dishes - for two people there was just as much rice as you would get locally for one person, and an unspectacular naan bread per person. But the food was okay - the fish molee was quite tasty, the tandoori mixed grill with the sauces was okay, but all in all absolutely not recommended for the exorbitant price. It's better to wait until the pandemic is over or buy from an Indian restaurant that doesn't allow itself to be bold just because the customer isn't sitting there.

First of all: my friend comes from India and I too have been in India for several weeks. We often go out for Indian food here too. So we are in a position to judge quality and taste... We were guests here on Sunday evening because we were attracted by the attractive menu on the website. In short: total failure and huge disappointment!! 1. Aloo Vada ordered, tasteless and dry (sauce was missing, see photo). Half of it was returned and the waiter didn't question it any further. 2. You can't order without coriander because everything is already mixed. Fresh is different! Aloo Chaat therefore went back and was not edible for me. 3. 4 (!!!) ordered dishes were not available! We wanted Dosa and Thali, both were not possible. Ok, it says on the menu that availability has to be checked, but on a Sunday evening? But okay, no problem! Then Bhindi was chosen, after 5 minutes the waiter came and said that Bhindi wasn't there either. For dessert we ordered the classic Gulab and - surprise - it wasn't available either! We were offered ice cream... So all the classic traditional Indian dishes are not there. I don't go to Indian places for ice cream! 4. We only chose one main course, Chole Bhature, actually one of my favorite dishes. This also didn't taste as usual at all, and half of it went back. It was mixed together but not freshly cooked. 5. In the end the invoice was also wrong and we were charged more than we ordered! Of course we got the money back in cash. 6. Ladies toilet very dirty. 7. One point for the really delicious mango lassi! Clear conclusion: that was a disaster! How the good reviews come about with so many defects is a mystery to us!

Very friendly and helpful staff who also point out the spiciness levels. Selectable between 1 to 5. The mango lassi is a must!! Very 😋. What was also very attentive was that the plates for the main course were preheated. That's what makes a good restaurant. The menu is extensive. Many vegan dishes are also offered. The food is very tasty. Overall, it's definitely worth a visit.😊

Authentic Indian cuisine at its finest! The tandoori dishes were perfect and the service was excellent. Will be back soon.
