Expensive, boring seasoning. And I find it difficult to judge that the meat was lamb, as the meat had more of the strong taste of mutton. Staff present inattentive and not very service-oriented with only 2 tables occupied. There were also communication problems due to the language barrier. For me there are no reasons to go there again! That was my first and last visit...

Food was quite okay for the price. The four of us were the only guests and had to wait almost an hour for our food. The boss was disappointed that I had to pay by card.

We chose Namaste after all the excellent reviews. We had reserved our table at 4 p.m. with 4 adults and 3 children. The service was always nice and polite. However, we would have liked more attention. The drinks came quickly and the food was at the table in a reasonable amount of time. The salad for 4 people had to be distributed from a shared plate. Here we would have found it nicer if everyone had “their” salad served on their plate. The food was served hot and attractively. The children were really warmly welcomed. An opportunity to change diapers was quickly organized. The fish in the aquarium were the highlight for the children. As time went on, the restaurant became more crowded. A cola we ordered was forgotten. The menu for dessert was placed on the table. We would have really liked to order, but no one came to take our order. The service staff seemed slightly busy and were busy setting up new things or seating new guests at the tables. New guests arrived at the reception and were supposed to come to our table. The employee said: “One moment please, the table is about to be free”. We actually felt a bit uncomfortable here. Now, with just under 2 hours at the table, we had probably reached our maximum stay time. When we paid we were offered mango liqueur, which we gladly accepted. Unfortunately only 2 of us 4 adults got one. Maybe we just caught the wrong day, maybe there was a lack of staff. All in all it was still a nice experience, with a few negative points. Thanks.

I was recently at the Namaste India Restaurant and all I can say is: an absolute delight! The food is incredibly tasty, especially if you like the typical Indian spiciness. The Butter Chicken Masala was to die for – tender chicken in a creamy, slightly spicy sauce that literally melted in your mouth. The biryani was also perfectly seasoned and wonderfully aromatic, with just the right balance of spiciness and exotic spices. I would also like to particularly highlight the mango lassi. It was the perfect refreshment after the spicy meal. Creamy, fruity and sweet – simply irresistible! The great thing about Namaste India is that it offers something for everyone. Whether you prefer authentic, spicy Indian cuisine or the milder, “German-Indian” version – everyone gets their money’s worth here. The spiciness can be adjusted if desired, so that both lovers of real Indian cuisine and those who like it a little milder will be happy. For anyone looking for an authentic Indian restaurant: Namaste India is a clear recommendation!

I can only partially understand all the positive reviews. Yes, the food was delicious and the staff was nice. But that doesn't change the fact that the business is a harmful rip-off. The menu includes one plate of rice per person. Here, if you eat with two people, you only get one portion of rice, which two people have to share, just like the salad. So you are forced to order a portion of rice at an additional cost. Never experienced anything so outrageous. The operator has cleverly arranged that you don't just get a full plate per person, but everything is served separately and you can put extra money in your pocket. And €18.90 for a main course? And €4.70 for a glass of Sprite? And to top off all the overpriced food, we both developed gastrointestinal problems. Also worth mentioning is the lack of empathy in keeping fish. Four larger fish are in an aquarium that is far too small without any aquatic plants or places to hide and one small fish is in a typical goldfish bowl, although it is known that this type of animal husbandry has a negative impact on the fish's psyche. Not recommended at all!

There are also no long waiting times during peak times. I have also hosted celebrations there (birthdays) and have always been very satisfied. We had dinner at Namaste with 6 people - everyone had a different dish. We all enjoyed the dishes very much and the portion sizes were sufficient. Everyone got their own warmer for their food so that it stayed hot for a long time. The service was very nice and attentive but not intrusive. The prices were reasonable. Because we “paid” with gourmet passes, the bill became a lot cheaper. After paying, everyone received a very tasty homemade mango schnapps on the house. We will definitely come back - I can recommend the restaurant without reservation.

It was our first time there, four of us. One menu for 3 people and one à la carte. The portions were generous and the rice was delicious. The staff was super attentive and very friendly. We sat outside around 5 p.m. Here we deducted one star because of the inconsiderate drivers and the noise: of course the operator can't do anything about howling engines and loud music from open car windows. Maybe a half-height window or simply more behavior on the part of drivers will help. We will definitely come back or order and pick up (no delivery available, I can totally understand that).

Sehr leckeres indisches Essen und super freundliches Personal, das sehr aufmerksam ist. Wir waren schon öfters dort und kommen auch gern wieder, allerdings haben die Preise sehr angezogen.

Ich muss echt sagen, es war verdammt Mega lecker. Hab aufgegessen. Waren 4 Lammfilets und für 21,90 € absolut top und fast zu billig. Bewertungen waren bei 4,7 und dies vollkommen zu Recht.

Mittlerweile mein Lieblingsrestaurant, wenn es sich um indisches Essen handelt. Sehr authentisch und sehr lecker. Preislich bekommt man hier auch jede Menge gebogen und das Personal ist sehr nett. Man hat hier richtig das Gefühl, als ob man in Indien ist. Den Mango-Lassi sollte man probiert haben! Richtig gut !

Gestern waren wir mit fünf Personen im Nameste essen. Es war ein richtiger Genuss. Alles hat gestimmt. Und das Essen total lecker. Wir hatten zu zweit das Menue. Die Vorspeise hat für alle gereicht. Gerne kommen wir wieder.

Wellicht omdat de Nederlander een andere smaak verwacht in een Indiaas restaurant maar de papadums waren zacht, het naanbrood erg vet en totaal niet luchtig, de Tandori kip niet droog en als uit de klei oven smaakte en bovendien veel te zout was. De rijst was ok. Afgezien van een flieter ui en paprika geen groenten gezien. De borden waren erg koud. Wel een zeer vriendelijke bediening.

Wir sind hier spontan in Geesthacht einkehrt um das Restaurant mit dem Schlemmerblock zu testen. Bis zu dem Zeitpunkt wo wir vor der Bestellung kund getan haben, dass wir gerne 2 Gerichte für 1 mit dem Coupon haben möchten, war auch alles gut. Ab da hat man irgendwie gemerkt, dass wir eigentlich garnicht so willkommen sind. Die Gerichte wurden mit Salat und Reis serviert, waren lecker und typisch indisch, aber sehr sehr klein. Der Reis reichte ebenfalls nicht. Im Grunde ist so ein Restauranttest ja etwas positives und man hat die Chance neue Kunden zu gewinnen, aber das macht man anders und stellt seine Kunden zu Frieden. Wir empfehlen dieses Restaurant nicht weiter und werden auch nicht wieder kommen. Die Teilnahme an dem Schlemmerblock wurde freiwillig eingegangen, deshalb können wir so ein Verhalten nicht nachvollziehen.

Für unsere Hochzeit haben wir ein veganes Menü bei Namaste bezogen. Service, Qualität des Essens, Preis-Leistungsverhältnis sowie Freundlichkeit des Inhabers und Personals sind hervorragend. Selbst Gäste, die bisher keine indische Küche probiert hatten, waren begeistert. Gerne buchen wir euch wieder! :)

He venido con un amigo indio a este restaurante y me he dejado aconsejar. Toda la comida me gustó mucho, especialmente el pan naam estaba buenísimo junto con el coated cheese. La pega es que tardaron muchísimo en servirnos la comida, a pesar de haber pedido antes que otras mesas, pero igualmente nos gustó la experiencia

Köstliches indisches Essen, Für jeden Geschmack etwas dabei in kleinen, auf einem Stövchen servierte Speisen. Salat vorweg, Mango Schnaps danach und eine Rum Kostprobe. Sehr freundliche, aufmerksame und lustige Mitarbeiter .Preis/Leistung stimmt

Es ist sooo lecker dort. Und immer eine freundliche Bewirtung, ohne dass es "drüber" wirkt, wenn ihr wisst was ich meine ;-)

Wir waren heute zu dritt in diesem tollen Restaurant. Ein schönes Ambiente, eine freundliche Bedienung und ein nettes Team. Die vegetarische Vorspeise haben wir uns geteilt und als die Hauptgerichte kamen,dachte man erst es sei zu wenig. Aber da haben wir uns getäuscht. Die Schalen in denen das köstliche Essen serviert wurde sehen auf den ersten Blick klein aus, haben aber ausreichend Inhalt von dem sich jeder bedienen kann. Sehr gutes Konzept. Der Reis war ebenfalls super. Preis Leistung finde ich vollkommen ok. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Indische Küche mit Herz - lange haben wir gesucht und ausprobiert. In Bergedorf gibt es kein Indisches Restaurant und in der Hamburger Innenstadt hat uns bislang keines überzeugt. Doch jetzt haben wir ihn wieder unsere indisches Lieblingsrestaurant - das Namaste in Geesthacht. Wir haben dort tolle indische Gerichte serviert bekommen und ein tolles Mango Lassi getrunken und Raul ist ein sehr herzlicher Gastgeber.

Wir hatten echt Glück, dieses nette Restaurant zu entdecken. Sehr freundlicher Service. Ein superleckeres Linsencurry und ein Gemüsecurry mit richtig duftigem Reis haben uns überzeugt. Leider wohnen wir weit weg, aber bei unserem nächsten Besuch in Geesthacht kommen wir wieder.

Das Restaurant ist gegenüber der Stadtbücherei gelegen und sehr gemütlich eingerichtet. Der Empfang durch das Personal war sehr freundlich und unsere Bestellungen wurden zügig aufgenommen. Was ich etwas schade fand, dass man den typischen Yogi Tee nur mit Zucker süßen konnte. Das liegt vermutlich an den Hygienevorschriften. Der Tee war wie die Gerichte und das Mangolassie reichlich gewürzt und gut abgeschmeckt. Der Tee war auch schon süß genug, weswegen ich auch den Zuckerstreuer weggelassen hatte. Als erstes wurde uns ein Salat und Papadam mit Mangodip vorweg gebracht. Als Hauptgericht haben wir verschiedene Hähnchengerichte mit Reis gegessen. Das Dessert war auch sehr lecker. Wir haben u.a. Eis gegessen. Auch die Preise waren ok und mit der Rechnung wurde uns ein Mangoschnaps als Abschluss serviert. Wir waren sehr zufrieden, haben das Restaurant auch schon weiterempfohlen und werden sicher noch mal wieder kommen.

Wir waren zu sechst dort mit der Hungergruppe :-) hatten alle verschiedene Gerichte in typischer Indischen Art, mir war das Essen zu lasch gewürzt. Schade
