Mutter Wittig in Bochum

Wir haben das neu eröffnete Restaurant zum Mittagessen besucht. Das Ambiente ist sehr schön geworden und ist jetzt hell und freundlich. Das Essen ist weiterhin sehr lecker und beinhaltet eine Vorsuppe. Eine gute Idee. Das Personal ist freundlich und aufmerksam. Wir werden öfter zu Besuch kommen.

Uns hat es sehr gut gefallen, lecker geschmeckt, ausgesprochen freundlich. Dankeschön für den schönen Abend!

Wir waren mit einer Familie da. Sehr netter Service, Kinderportion sehr groß, Ambiente auch gut.

Das neue Mutter Wittig hat nichts von seinem ursprünglichen Charm verloren. Es ist heller und insgesamt moderner geworden. Die Tapeten und Lampen sind einfach geil und bestimmt teuer! Leider finde ich auch die Getränkepreise ausgesprochen hochpreisig!🫣 Wir waren mit drei Personen im Juni 26 vor Ort- und wurden freundlich und aufmerksam von unserem zuständigem Servicemitarbeiter (Azubi) durch den Abend begleitet. Meine Vorspeise, Ziegenkäsetaler im Speckmantel, mit Feigensoße und Honig, sowie kleinen Tomaten, war sehr lecker! Hauptgericht dann "Pommes Schranke", mit sehr pikanter Currysoße und lecker gewürzten Pommes! Die Wurst an sich war auch sehr lecker, aber leider ohne Röstaromen. Insgesamt war es ein schöner Abend, der Aufgrund der kleinen, aber interessanten Angeboten, einen weiteren Besuch auf jeden Fall anschließen lässt.

Ein Ausflug nach Bochum, ein schönes Restaurant in der Stadt mit guter Auswahl an leckeren Gerichten. Alle sehr freundlich und schön gemütlich

Eins vorweg, das Ambiente ist gut und das Lokal annähernd ausgebucht. Wir waren zum Spargel essen dort und hatten einmal das Spargelschnitzel vom Schwein und einmal vom Huhn. Es fing an das an vier Tischen um uns herum ständig was fehlte oder falsch geliefert wurde. Zwei Tische die nach uns kamen hatten ihr Essen eher als wir. Aber egal. Dann kam unser Essen, offensichtlich an den falschen Tisch geliefert, ging wieder zurück in die Küche und war drei Minuten später bei uns. Da die Saucen seperat waren war die Kellnerin nicht in der Lage zu Unterscheiden was Hähnchen und was Schwein war. Und das war das Problem, selbst nach anschneiden und probieren konnten wir es nicht eindeutig zu ordnen. Ich habe noch nie ein 0,5 cm Schweineschnitzel von so kleinem Format gesehen. Es könnte auch Formfleisch gewesen sein,aber das ist nur mutmaßung. Ich war, für jeweils 28,90€ pro Teller, sehr enttäuscht. Und die Junge Frau ist meiner Meinung nach fehl am Platz im Service oder muss noch eine Menge lernen. Abschließend möchte ich dennoch erwähnen das der Spargel und die jungen Kartoffeln hervorragend waren.

Atmosphäre süß, Hauptkellnerin klar und strikt, Essen mit Schwächen. Bewertung Rinderroulade: Instant Kartoffelpüree, Fertigsoße, Krautfüllung eher störend, keinen pos. Effekt auf den Geschmack, Rotkohl gut, Fleisch zart. Insgesamt erinnerte es mich an ein Kantinenessen, ein intensiver dauerhafte Fertigessengeschmack war dominant vorhanden. Gegenüber am Tisch aß eine Frau selbes Gericht nicht mal zur Hälfte auf. Anderen Bekannte waren auch nicht angetan von Ihrer Wahl. Also lohnt es sich für uns nicht ein zweites Mal. Preise sind ok.

Ich war sehr enttäuscht von meinem Besuch hier zum Mittagessen. Ich bin Touristin und mein Deutsch ist nicht besonders gut. Die Bedienung gab sich kaum Mühe, mich zu bedienen, und sprach in Windeseile Deutsch mit mir, obwohl ich ihr deutlich gemacht hatte, dass ich sie nicht verstand. Am Ende meines Besuchs – oh Wunder! – hatte sich ihr Englisch deutlich verbessert, und sie konnte sich endlich mit mir verständigen. Aufgrund einer Lebensmittelallergie hatte ich große Schwierigkeiten, die Speisekarte zu lesen und etwas Passendes zu finden. Ich bestellte etwas, und mir wurde versprochen, dass die Bedienung in der Küche nachfragen und sich bei mir melden würde. Das tat sie nicht. Das Essen kam, und ich hoffe, es war in Ordnung. Es wurde weder gefragt, ob es mir schmeckte, noch wurden mir Getränke nachgeschenkt. Schließlich musste ich aufstehen, zur Bar gehen und meine Rechnung verlangen, um bezahlen und gehen zu können. Das bestellte Essen – Blutwurst mit geschmacklosem Kartoffelpüree und halbgarem Gemüse – war bestenfalls mittelmäßig.

Sehr schön urig und doch etwas modern eingerichtet. Sehr netter und flotter Service. Das Essen war sehr gut, „gut bürgerliche Küche“. 😋

Ohne Ziel und mit Zeit in einer fremden Stadt. Meine Begleitung war sofort begeistert von dem schönem Gebäude, die Speisekarte sah verlockend aus und so haben wir durch Zufall dieses wunderschöne Restaurant entdeckt. Tolles Ambiente, sehr leckeres Essen und Service der diesen Namen auch verdient hat, sehr aufmerksam, freundlich und flott. Vielen Dank für diesen schönen, ersten Besuch 🫶

Schade ist, dass man nicht für 12.30 Uhr einen Tisch reservieren kann. Wir mussten für 12 oder alternativ 13.30 Uhr reservieren an einem Samstag Mittag. Preise sind ok. Innen ist alles noch urig und gemütlich. Essen war in Ordnung.

Ja wer großen Hunger hat ist dort fehl am Platz. Ansonsten Cool

Leider eine klare Enttäuschung. Geschmacklich vielleicht noch eine 6–7/10, aber das reicht bei den Preisen einfach nicht. Der Spargel war teilweise zu hart (fast schon „al dente“) und nicht richtig durch. Das größte Problem ist aber die Portionsgröße im Verhältnis zum Preis: sehr wenig auf dem Teller. Besonders beim Spargel mit Schnitzel war das Schnitzel lächerlich klein. Für das Geld absolut nicht angemessen. Dazu kam, dass mehrere Gäste um uns herum sich ebenfalls beschwert haben, wir waren also definitiv nicht die Einzigen mit diesem Eindruck. Die einzige positive Ausnahme war die Kellnerin, die trotz der vielen Beschwerden freundlich blieb und sich bemüht hat, sie konnte einem fast leid tun. Fazit: Zu teuer, zu kleine Portionen, Spargel teilweise hart. Für ein traditionsreiches Restaurant wirklich enttäuschend.

Preisleistung super, haben lecker gegessen

Die Lauchsuppe war 🆗, gehört aber nicht zu meinen Speisen Paprikaschnitzel mit Bratkartoffeln waren da schon besser

Altes gutbürgerliches Restaurant, was ich von früher kenne .. heute hat es einen neuen Besitzer. Service könnte besser sein .. und es dauerte sehr lange bis das Essen kam, für das was dann kam ist es zu teuer... preis -leistung stimmt nicht

Der Service am Freitagabend war sehr gut. Das aufgefrischte Ambiente gefällt mir. Ich habe das Krüstchen bestellt. Geschmacklich war es OK. Das weiße vom Spiegelei war aber zu glibberig, dafür war das Stück Schweinefilet viel zu klein. Leider wird kein Fiege Bier vom Faß angeboten, das Castroper Zwickel war aber sehr lecker.

Wir waren nach der Wiedereröffnung zum ersten Mal dort. Waren vorher schon sehr häufig dort. Leider war es heute zum ersten Mal nicht gut. Das Essen war kalt, die Sauce klumpig, der Spargel verkocht(und trotzdem fast kalt). Es wurde dann, samt Salatbeilage in der Mikrowelle erwärmt. Konnte man nicht mehr essen. Ein ganz neuer Teller wurde gebracht. Der Spargel war diesmal gut gegart und zumindest warm, wenn auch nicht heiß. Kartoffeln wieder kalt. Der Teller meiner Begleitung war auch nicht so toll. Röstzwiebeln waren da bisher immer in der Pfanne geröstete Zwiebeln. Heute waren auf dem Kartoffelpüree so fertige Röstzwiebeln drüber gestreut. Wirklich schade. Die Gäste am Tisch hinter uns schienen aber mit ihren Bestellungen zufrieden. Vielleicht hatten wir einfach Pech. Es gab nichts, ausser einer Entschuldigung. Wenigstens einen Kaffee hätt ich irgendwie erwartet um das zu glätten. Schade.

Zur Mittagszeit aus der Karte Kalbsleber und ein Glas Wein: 26.00 Euro. Für einen Mitagsimbiss sportlich. Essen war ok. Der Schwachpunkt liegt für ich im Service. Da muss nachhgeschult werden. Wer keine Lust auf den Job sollte sich was anderes suchen. Nachtrag auf die Kommentarreaktion: Die Kalbsleber stand auf der Mittagsksrte auch im WEB.

Ich war am heutigen Mittag mit zwei weiteren Personen zu Gast. Zuerst einmal möchte ich die drei Sterne erklären. Ein Stern muss abgezogen werden, da es kein Fiege vom Fass gibt. Stattdessen gibt es das Großindustrie Bier von Bitburger. In Bochum geht sowas einfach nicht. Das es Pils von Fiege in der Flasche gibt, macht es nicht besser. Ein sogenanntes Traditionsgasthaus muss in Bochum einfach Fiege anbieten. Nun zum eigentlichen Besuch. Das Ambiente im Gastraum ist hell und freundlich mit einer bequemen Bestuhlung. Allerdings verstehe ich nicht warum der ganze Raum voller maritimer Bilder ist. Die Speisekarte zum Mittag ist übersichtlich und nicht sehr innovativ oder interessant. Es wird einfach nur das gekocht, was alle anderen auch machen. Schade, und Potential verschenkt. Das Essen selbst war wenig bis gar nicht gewürzt und vom Geschmack eher fade. Der Service war zuvorkommend aber eher kühl. Das Fazit ist leider, dass sich bei dieser Küche und dem Angebot sich ein weiterer Besuch nicht lohnt. Achso, die Preise sind durchaus ok.

Die Einrichtung ist liebevoll und traditionell gehalten, genau so, wie man es von einem klassischen deutschen Gasthaus erwartet. Alles wirkt authentisch und mit viel Herz gestaltet, ohne aufgesetzt zu sein. Auch kulinarisch wurden wir nicht enttäuscht: Die Speisen sind typisch deutsch, frisch zubereitet und einfach richtig lecker – ehrliche Küche, die satt und zufrieden macht. Besonders hervorzuheben ist die Qualität der Zutaten und die liebevolle Zubereitung. Der Service war freundlich, aufmerksam und angenehm bodenständig – man fühlt sich direkt willkommen. Fazit: Wer Lust auf gute deutsche Küche hat und dabei ein Stück „alte Zeit“ erleben möchte, ist hier genau richtig. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder!

Currywurst belanglos, Rouladen Fertigprodukte, Schnitzel hart, Rumpsteak mit ungenießbaren Fettrand, Bratkartoffeln Katastrophe und fettig, Burger langweilig. Das Sind die Meinungen von unserem Abend. Von verantwortlichen nichts zu sehen. Das hat sich in der WAZ alles anders angehört. Wollten dem Lokal eine weitere Chance nach der Neueröffnung geben, leider hat sich nichts verbessert. Der Server war leider nicht her der Lage, oberstes Ziel war es, pünktlich feierabend zu haben und uns los zu werden. Dessert oder Kaffee gab es leider nicht mehr. Schade

Das war nicht unser letzter Besuch. Die angemessenen Preise sind besonders erwähnenswert.

Mein vegetarischer Burger war kalt zu stark angebraten und kaum schneidbar. Am Rand steinhart und trocken. Das Restaurant ist für Vegetarier nicht geeignet. Für 18,00€ zu teuer.

Der Besuch beim neu eröffneten Bochumer Traditionslokal Mutter Wittig muss leider unter dem Strich als Katastrophe bezeichnet werden. Das Essen nehme ich hierbei ausdrücklich aus, da es durchaus schmackhaft und auch preislich angemessen war. Aber leider kam die üble Wendung zum Schluss. 1. Auf der Rechnung, die wir begleichen sollten, waren 2 Cappuccino gelistet, die wir nicht bestellt hatten. Die Kellnerin erklärte schnippisch, dies wäre am Nebentisch verzehrt worden. Keine wirkliche Entschuldigung, lediglich ein betretenes Gesicht. 2. Der Preis für eines der zwei Hauptgerichte war auf der Karte günstiger als auf der Rechnung. Wir mussten uns als übervorteilte Kunden schon fast dafür entschuldigen, dass uns das aufgefallen war. Die Kellnerin zahlte uns das Geld aus und das war es. Keine ausdrückliche Entschuldigung, nichts weiter. Es blieb ein sehr schales Gefühl bei uns haften. 3. Beim Verlassen des Restaurants wurde meine Frau zum krönenden Abschluss von einem Kellner fast über den Haufen gerannt. Auch hier keine Entschuldigung ihr gegenüber. Fazit: Es nützt das schöne Interieur und auch gutes Essen nicht, wenn man seine Gäste so behandelt. Von einem Traditionslokal darf man wirklich anderes erwarten.

Sehr gutes Essen, freundlicher Service. Unter den neuen Pächtern hat sich das Essen stark verbessert, ich kenne Elmar vom Brauhaus Ruettershoff in Castrop Rauxel, seine Kinder waren bei mir in der Kita. Weiter so!

Super Eröffnung! - Top Service, lecker essen, immer wieder gern

Wir waren zur Neueröffnung am 28.03.2026 dort und es war ganz hervorragend. Gutes Essen und perfekter Service.

Ein absoluter Klassiker in Bochum. Zunächst fällt das Restaurant durch sein uriges und äußerst liebevolles Ambiente auf. Es werden klassische gutbürgerliche Speisen serviert. Sowohl das Essen als auch der Service sind excellent. Werde bei meinem nächsten Besuch in Bochum bestimmt wieder herkommen.

Wir waren zum Mittagstisch dort. Das Essen war gut, der Service ebenfalls. Ein Abzug für die kleinen " Gerümpel - Ecken": Bereiche im Restaurant, welche in der Regel zur Aufbewahrung von Inventar dienen, für den Gast aber den Ambiente- Wohlfühlfaktor deutlich senken. In jedem Raum gibt es anderes Interieur.

Alt eingesessenes Restaurant auf dem Boulevard in Bochum, ich finde es innen schön, nostalgisch aber schön.... Essen immer gut, waren nochmal in 2025 dort essen, da es zum 31.12 erst einmal geschlossen wird. Laut Aussagen eines MA ist es ab April neu verpachtet, also bleibt es Bochum erhalten.

Alles super, Essen, Ambiente und der Service waren klasse. Leider wird das Restaurant nach 120 Jahren am Jahresende für immer geschlossen. Sehr traurig 😢

At my request, we celebrated our annual Christmas party today, December 22, 2025, with about 30 people at the traditional restaurant "Mutter Wittig." I had wonderful memories of this lovely restaurant from my childhood and early youth! Upon walking in, all the memories came flooding back. Every Saturday after the market, Grandma would have lentil soup, and I would have schnitzel. Even the wallpaper, the furnishings, and the furniture were the same after 30 years. I was absolutely delighted! But when the food arrived, the huge disappointment followed! I have never been served such a bad goose! Tasteless and presented without any care! No garnish like pear and cranberries—the sauce was pale and bland. My friend had the same experience! The schnitzel was so awful—any chip shop in Bochum could have done better! ... To be fair, the staff was incredibly friendly, attentive, and efficient! But what topped off the whole evening was when, around 9:00 PM, the waiter came and announced: "Last call?" With a party of 30 people? Speechless! As I've learned, this long-established establishment has been taken over by the long-established fashion house Balz! All I can say is – very, very pathetic, Mr. Balz! A little more attention to the kitchen – a small menu (like in the old days), good products, regional and seasonal specialties like: kale, mussels, schnitzel, various burgers, sauerbraten, etc. This beautiful and traditional restaurant would be a sure thing!

A wonderfully cozy, historic venue. Old interior, comfortable nooks, pleasant acoustics, delicious and reasonably priced food, and friendly service.

Nothing special but ok for one time

For many years I visited this restaurant every few months. Then at some point the ownership changed. Since then it has gone downhill rapidly. The last time I was there was yesterday and I noticed once again that the cleanliness and quality of the food have declined considerably. This time and last time the tablecloths were dirty and stained. A feather duster did not do its job throughout the entire restaurant. The women's restroom is in dire need of renovation and the cleanliness there also leaves a lot to be desired. I visited the restaurant around 12 noon, immediately after it opened. The homemade dishes I used to be used to have been replaced by lackluster convenience food. I would particularly like to mention the distorted cabbage rolls yesterday. Since this was not a one-time experience, I will avoid this restaurant in the future.

Once and never again the Mediriane fish plate was terrible ( frozen )

Very rustic!!! Mussels "Rhenish style" in a traditional enamel pot, but the flavor of the broth could have been improved. The sauerkraut casserole from the lunch menu was excellent, just like your mom's. The ambiance deserves a special star...wonderfully old-fashioned.

A very nice restaurant in the heart of Bochum. Here, you can still feel the attention to detail and tradition. The service was very attentive and friendly. The food was brought to the table quickly, but was only lukewarm to warm. Otherwise, the value for money is good, and we can recommend it without hesitation.

Unfortunately, the meal was a disappointment. I had Mutter Wittig's crusty rissoles. It lacked seasoning. The canned mushrooms were completely tasteless. The medallions were the same. A friend of mine had fish, which was apparently quite good. The potatoes, however, were al dente. Another person's rump steak was also terrible. No seasoning. I won't be going there again 🤷‍♂️.

It was delicious, generous portions, reasonable prices, and the retro look was really great.

I had the herring gravy with fried potatoes. The herring gravy was originally from a discount store, cut into bite-sized pieces. The product was worth €3 and sold for €17. This has nothing to do with cooking.

Sixteen of us went to Mutter Wittig's for lunch after our civil wedding, and it was a complete success! The communication beforehand was friendly, uncomplicated, and professional. The food was enjoyed by all ages, from 11 to over 70. We would especially like to highlight the attentive service and the excellent handling of special needs: Our lactose intolerance was accommodated very accommodatingly without any problems. We all felt very comfortable and will definitely be back, perhaps next time in a smaller group :) Many thanks to the entire team!

Today, 17 of us went to Mutter Wittig's for a light meal after the registry office. We had a small room for ourselves but it was open to other guests; the noise level was still very pleasant despite the number of guests. Due to the size of the group, we had a selection menu, and communication on this went smoothly. Everyone enjoyed the food and it was the perfect size. The service was very attentive; however, the waiting times were a little long, even with understanding for the group size. We also found it a bit annoying that the sauces for the schnitzels were served separately, but I'm sure there are people who prefer it that way. All in all, highly recommended, delicious, and worth a visit - thank you very much.

We were strolling around Bochum and were hungry around lunchtime. We decided to try Mutter Wittig because they have a great outdoor area. We had a large salad with king prawns and the Krüstchen (slightly modified – without the fried egg and with fries). The pork medallions were very tender, the fries very crispy, and the prawns were fried until translucent. The service was attentive and quick. We'd love to come back.

Honestly, if you don't even eat here, it's your own fault! It's always great to eat in such a traditional restaurant.👏 Good craftsmanship from the kitchen is served to the guest with warm service. We will now appear more often to enjoy and support this tradition. Thanks for that🫶🏼

What a lovely old fashioned restaurant. You feel like you're eating at grandma's...soooo nice!! Good home-style food of top quality and really nice service! That's why you like to come from Mönchengladbach to visit ;) (Met spontaneously in winter and would love to come back) Tested asparagus dishes today. The asparagus cream soup 20/10!!!! And also the asparagus with the salmon - very tasty :)

Today I was at Mother Wittig's for tea time. Delicious scones with clotted cream and salmon and cucumber sandwiches. Excellent idea! It would also be nice to allow guests to get to know each other. Service and staff very pleasant and friendly. Please repeat! I would love to come back.

Must have something to do with personal demands, but the three of us agreed that there was no need to go there again. Service was slow and not particularly friendly. The food was of snack bar quality, just because of the presentation of the food: plates, fries, pork steak, sausage, salad were delivered later, wilted. When we wanted to pay after twenty minutes, the cellar warned us twice that we had apparently swallowed the food since he had just served.

We just had a drink and sat outside. 👍 However, we would have loved to eat there if we hadn't already eaten something beforehand. The menu looked very tempting.

My wife and I ate creamy vegetarian risotto today... unfortunately... both portions were very, very salty. Far too salty for our taste.

Traditional restaurant with good cuisine and very courteous staff.

We ordered duck in orange sauce with spaetzle and goose with dumplings. The food was cold, the side dishes were too limited and there was hardly any sauce. When we asked the waiter for more, he actually said that the same sauce was served with both dishes. He brought us two gravy boats with an indefinable and tasteless mush. Rarely eaten so badly, at this price (goose €29.90, duck €23.90 an absolute disgrace. Not recommended!

Ordered food to go from Mother Wittig for the first time. Waiting time felt shorter than eating in a restaurant. Everything was packaged very nicely (sauce and vegetables individually). If I had been driving or lived nearby, the food would have been even hot. So unfortunately it suffered a bit. The taste was amazing and the portion was generous. There was the roast goose

I ate there for the first time on Monday December 16th, 2024. All of my guests and I enjoyed it. The ambience was rustic, cozy. It definitely won't be the last time you eat there.

It's a bit difficult for me to formulate a balanced review here. The atmosphere is very homely, the waitresses were very friendly and I really enjoyed the food. So why only 3 stars? The food was really tasty, no question – but the portion size was disappointing. As a side dish to the vegetarian pointed cabbage roulade, I had two pumpkin wedges, two kohlrabi wedges, three mini broccoli florets and four mini potatoes on my plate. Since I'd never been to Mother Wittig's before, I thought, okay, it's one of those restaurants where it's delicious, but you just don't get full. But to my astonishment, or to be honest, envious horror, the plate of a person at the next table who had ordered exactly the same dish was full to the brim, really full to the brim. And in addition to the side dishes mentioned, there were also runner beans on the plate. Then I was annoyed that I wasn't one of those people who always took photos of their food. Anyway, when I asked the waitress about it, she explained that the portion size could depend on who was preparing the plates in the kitchen. However, this is absolutely unacceptable to me - guests should be treated equally. Portions should be equally small or equally large. It's a shame, because if the portions had been fair, the restaurant would have left a better impression. But that made me so upset that I probably won't come back.

A very dignified, cozy restaurant in the heart of the city. The service was very attentive and friendly and the food was excellent. Mutter Wittig is a real traditional restaurant in Bochum and always worth a visit.

Since the tenant changed, unfortunately no longer recommended. The previous chef was great. There was always an excellent vegan dish. Homemade, without frozen finished product. Always worth a visit. Unfortunately, on the last visit there were frozen potato pancakes and slimy mushrooms from a jar. Too bad. I would have liked to remain a regular customer.

Great quaint restaurant and delicious food.

We felt very comfortable. The service was very attentive and there was Fiege beer, as it should be in Bochum. Hopefully Mother Wittig and all the trimmings will be around for a long time. There are plenty of kebab stalls.

The waiter was great, super friendly, just great! The food is just disgusting. Not seasoned, not well done, the schnitzel was tough and had a strange color. Absolutely disgusting. And we're talking about a restaurant here! You can eat better in every chip shop.

Good housewife food had mussels, wife had sauerbraten, both great, I'll go there again

We had dinner there on Friday and the ambience was great as always and the service is simply great there 👌👌👌 every wish please no matter what will be made possible. Simply an experience and it was a wonderful evening from the food to the wine and everything else

WOW! Here you have the feeling of being in a good German kitchen! Waiters are smartly and neatly dressed, respond to requests, etc. The rooms are very elegantly furnished and the food is incredibly delicious! Definitely worth a visit!

My mother and my grandmother were there and found the food disastrous. The schnitzel was like the sole of a shoe, the fries tasted like nothing and the croquettes weren't cooked through. Too bad!

The food was super tasty, but unfortunately the portion was a bit small. There should have been at least two more croquettes.

We have been to the long-established restaurant several times. So far the food has been good. Unfortunately this time it was a failure. The snow steak was tough, the chanterelles were cold. After complaining we got a new one. Also tough. Never this dish again.

The food was good, but not enough for my standards. It was called chanterelles with napkin dumplings, but there were napkin dumpling slices. This is false pretense.

I'm a bit conflicted, I would rather give it 3.5 stars, the ambience is great, the service is nice. The food I had also tasted quite good, unfortunately the price was way too high for the very small portion I got. I would have liked to see almost double that. I recommend it to anyone who isn't too hungry and has a little more money to spare.
