Bitburger Wirtshaus in Bochum

I only meant to pop in for a quick Bitburger – and three hours later I rolled out like a satisfied beer king on holiday back home. This pub in Bochum combines rustic coziness with the charm of a place where even the beer mat is in a good mood.

The food was good but not outstanding. It felt like a lot of it was pre-packaged and not freshly prepared. We still left feeling quite full, though. Since we arrived around 5 pm, the four of us got a table right away. I can imagine it gets very crowded later in the evening, though. Our table by the window was rather cool, and there was a draft. The service, however, was quick and friendly.

Nice place with special daily offers. Best is for sure the "Schnitzel-Day" for only 9.99 € for any Schnitzel. Friendly service

Absolutely terrible. Our drink order took 20 minutes to arrive at the table, okay, it was busy. One of our nine drinks was forgotten. Not really a problem, since the friendly server noticed immediately. After another 20 minutes, the server said she couldn't do anything because the manager wanted to check on us at the table. Seriously? And where exactly is he? He then got rude and claimed to have nothing to do with the whole thing. After an hour and one round of drinks, we moved on.

The service could be a little faster at times – especially when ordering drinks. Otherwise, the service and staff are excellent.

They also offer fries as a main course (even with melted cheese), which is very commendable of the kitchen. Letizia is an outstanding waitress, much better than the other waiters (one of them just slammed the drinks down on the table without saying what was what). It's a great place to watch football.

Not recommended. The schnitzel tasted of frying oil. Shockingly, the same was true of the half chicken. The meat was very dry. It seems like they only serve convenience food here. There's no real pub feel.

We stopped by before a VFL game and had a bite to eat. You get what you'd expect from a place like this. Burger with frozen meat, but overall a decent portion! Service is friendly, and you can order and pay via QR code after your first order, which is great!

Four of us were here on a Friday afternoon and were seated immediately—a positive. Unfortunately, the food was mediocre: lukewarm fried potatoes, medium-sized portions, and dry, crispy fries. I'd never been here before, and the other reviews say otherwise, so I'm just putting it down to a coincidence.

Spent a great evening with former work colleagues. Thanks to happy hour from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM, cocktails and jumbo cocktails were half price, and they were really well mixed. Solid food at a good price: Wiener Schnitzel with fries, ketchup, and mayo, plus a mixed salad for 4:00 PM. After 7 hours, just under 38 euros is great. It was very busy, but the speed with the drink orders was perfectly acceptable. Highly recommended. We had reserved a table.

Great value for money, delicious food and great cocktails.

The cocktails were okay at happy hour. We didn't like the food. The cheese spaetzle had a sauce that took some getting used to (a far cry from typical pub cheese spaetzle for us). The chicken was too salty for us.

The young waiter with the braid is a total no-go. Does he pick and choose his guests, who he's friendly to and who he's not, or what exactly is he celebrating?

The chicken schnitzel was okay, the cheese spaetzle and grilled meats were a disgrace. I wouldn't go there again. The beer is nothing special.

There were four of us at the inn and we were looking forward to a hearty start to the evening. The ambiance is lovely, and we sat in a nice, rustic setting under the awning. The menu offers a good selection, and the service was prompt. The meal, however, was a disaster. The grilled food was practically empty. I had a schnitzel with fries and a fried egg. The mayonnaise in the pot already had a yellow rim and seemed to have been sitting there for a while. That shouldn't be happening. My schnitzel was overcooked. The breading was rock-hard and crumbly... The egg also had a consistency as if it had just been warmed up. My friends with the grilled food weren't impressed either. The female server kept grabbing the glasses by the rim and placing them in front of us. All in all, unfortunately, not recommended.

The last experience was terrifying. They put two guys in charge of seating arrangements… one of them was extremely rude and sexist. He put men he supposedly knew in front of us, and, surprisingly, in front of an elderly couple! And when we questioned him, he treated us with contempt and said he couldn't do anything if people were standing there… even though there was a line, and he gave priority to his "male, white, straight friends" who had just arrived. I've been there about three times, and the drinks are great, happy hour is definitely worth it, and the waitresses were always very friendly and helpful. In other words, if you can, reserve a table to avoid waiting in line and having to go through that extremely rude guy at the front desk. It's recommended!

Fine location, the menu offers various option and everyday there are promotions. For example, on Monday the plates from the classic menu are half the price. After 22 you can also get a cocktail jumbo size for the price of a normal one. The food is good and the portions are big. Waiting service was good. Fair price

We were there on a Wednesday for schnitzel day. Each schnitzel was 9.99 and absolutely delicious! Highly recommended!

Terrible service! My friends and I were in line and were treated very poorly. Furthermore, customers who arrived after us were given priority service simply because they were known to the attendant. A terrible lack of respect.

I've never been treated so poorly at a place. The disrespect shown by the guy "organizing" the tables and greeting people was humiliating. He pushed "friends" ahead of people in line, ignored people waiting, and was even severely disrespectful to female friends. I was incredibly disappointed with the place. I won't go back even if they pay me.

Absolutely recommended! Ate a very tasty knuckle of pork with homemade mashed potatoes. Extremely attentive and friendly waiter, who even adapted cocktail recipes for me. Double thumbs up!!

A real highlight – great food and even better service! We recently visited the Bitburger Wirtshaus and were absolutely thrilled! The atmosphere is cozy, down-to-earth, yet stylish – exactly what you'd want for a relaxed evening with friends or family. The food was outstanding: fresh, hearty, and truly delicious – we were particularly impressed by the schnitzel and tarte flambée. The drinks menu is varied, and of course, the Bitburger on tap tastes especially good here. 🍻 A very special shout-out goes to Shangal, our waiter of the evening. So friendly, attentive, and with genuine charm – you can tell he's passionate about his job. Despite a full house, he never lost track of things and was always there when you needed something. A true host, the kind you could only wish for! We'll definitely be back – not least because of Shangal and the great team!

Outrageous behavior from manager Khalli – absolutely unacceptable! I asked the waiter in the most normal way if there was a table for three. His response: "Ask the man next to me." – so, of course, I went to the man next to him. Without introducing himself or showing even the slightest bit of politeness, he immediately responded rudely: "Just the two of us, no discussion!" That's not how you treat guests. Anyone who reacts like that on the first contact clearly shows how little you care about customer service. Definitely not a place I would recommend. Never again!

Two people aren't welcome; you won't get a quiet table. Only the tables directly on the street are available for two people. You won't be able to eat in peace there. The four-person tables are only for large groups. You can do that if you want to scare away guests.

A great beer bar, also suitable for craft beer fans, with friendly, attentive service. I had the goulash soup and, upon request, was immediately given a little more spice, along with four different beers for less than €25. There's also a big screen for sporting events. It's worth it. Full marks.

We ate there with our family and enjoyed a beer and cocktails. I've been there many times myself. Great service, ordering and paying via QR code. Simply fantastic. From the food to the service, it's a top spot.

The Kaiserschmarn (smothered pancakes) tasted absolutely terrible, and the grilled platter was also a complete disappointment. The pilsner tasted very stale, even though we could see from our table that it was freshly tapped and brought to our table. The service was very friendly, quick, and attentive, and the bar staff were also quite quick, even though it was quite busy that day. The ambiance is quite nice, but it doesn't make up for the poor quality of the pilsner or the food. I also found the music selection rather inappropriate for a pub; it felt more like a nightclub.

I've rarely had such a bad meal. I had the grilled dish. The fried potatoes had no bacon or onions, were extremely greasy, and some were burnt. The meat was truly beyond words, so dry it was almost impossible to cut. The vegetables were the only thing that, while not good, were edible. I told both waiters that it was really bad. I was just told to pass it on to the kitchen. Unfortunately, that didn't work.

Not a 5-star restaurant, everything is kept a bit simple, but that's how it should be in a pub. Very good value for money, the daily specials are excellent. The food is in line with the prices, the quality is more than adequate, and everyone will find something to suit their taste here. The staff is very friendly and attentive, with little turnover. The food used to be good, and they even had a special homemade breading. Now it's frozen with super thin, cheap, and way too crispy fries. Our food came pretty quickly. We waited 30 minutes for our drinks. The waiter was very inattentive. When we asked about them, there was no real reaction. He then left, and 10 minutes later (so after about 40 minutes, the drinks arrived and were placed on the table without comment). Then they made a mistake with the dessert. Again, no apology and nothing. The drinks were fine.

We weren't expecting much, but the bad reviews are true. The food tasted okay (we were really just expecting simple, home-style cooking), but my husband and I had really bad stomach aches afterward, or rather, our stomachs rumbled all night. It was very loud inside because they were showing the football conference, and the place was packed with BVB fans, Bayern fans, etc. Even though it was still pretty empty, we waited 20 minutes for our beer, which tasted rather stale. There's no need for this place; you can get better and cheaper food elsewhere.

VfL fans should avoid this bar. They said VfL was already relegated anyway, so they didn't need to show the game anymore. We wanted to see the last game, and I had noted that in my reservation. Nevertheless, the conference was shown (in which VfL was shown with the goal for about two minutes...), even though other fans were there. We left the bar as quickly as possible and luckily found another bar with a game broadcast for the second half. Never again!!

Unbelievable there!!! Underage hippies rioting! I've seen them there before. When someone like Lars and the rest of us is a hippie with an earring, the place is unbearable and uninvitable. It used to be my favorite place, but now I go to Sixty. At least they don't allow teenage hippies.

Extremely disappointed and would not recommend. We had to wait well over an hour for the food. When we asked, we were always put off. The fact that the dishes ordered were not convincing in terms of quality was added. Veal meatballs were a children's portion and therefore the price was not justified. Grill plate, here the meat was dead several times. Way too long on the grill. The fries with the currywurst were cold. For us, never again in this restaurant.

First of all I have to say that our service was top. Unfortunately it was very loud. But that was more due to the horde of men inside. I ordered cheese spaetzle. I got a salad plate with some cheese spaetzle.

Unfortunately, the service was completely overwhelmed, every second order didn't come to the table at all or was delivered incorrectly. Some of the glasses came unwashed and some of the drinks had insects floating in them. After a tray fell and my friend was completely wet, there was no apology or compensation.

Very nice location, but the cocktails are far too full of crushed ice. A Barcadirazz Mojito consists of 2/3 ice and is drunk after 4 sips. This urgently needs to change, otherwise it feels like a rip-off. The food, service and ambience is top, but in my opinion it fails compared to other bars on the street.

The inn in Bochum at the Bermuda Dreiek is a 10/10, the staff is very friendly, the drinks taste excellent and it's a lot of fun to sit there and spend your time. Vieze Friday is one of my favorite days as well as happy hour. I can only recommend the inn.

The size and ambience is typical of Bermuda. You can sit well. There was very little going on for us at lunchtime. I can only guess whether it is very loud when the store is full. What I can advise against is the Wirtshaus grill plate. A thin dry piece of neck steak, a beef steak (approx. 100g) and a small piece of chicken fillet. Plus fried potatoes and frozen vegetables (carrot, cauliflower, beans and broccoli). In my case, it had an absolutely watery taste and absolutely no salt. I generally have nothing against frozen vegetables. But you can also get a taste for it. The grill plate normally costs around 23 euros. Half on Mondays. If something already has the name of the house as a rumor, I simply expect more. The portion was also rather small. At least when it comes to meat. The menu says: Various cuts of pork, beef and chicken. Yes, we really imagined it to be different and will tend to visit other restaurants in the future. There are plenty of burgers in Bermuda and there are also good alternatives to pub cuisine in the city center

We went to the Bitburger Brauhaus in Bochum's Bermuda Triangle for our department's Christmas party. Drinks and food came very quickly and were delicious. Nothing to complain about on our part. Thank you!!!!

Incredibly bad food. The tarte flambée tasted like it came from a discount store and the bacon was gristly. The white sausage also had an unappetizing consistency and was difficult to peel.

Delicious food and drink in Bochum's Bermuda 3eck. 🤗 Outside in the spacious outdoor area in summer. The “young 3eck” is also pleasant for older people and can enjoy the atmosphere with a good mix of music. During your stay, try the stairway to the toilets. 😉 It's a pleasure.

On October 9th & 10.10 2024 visited. Good location in Bermuda3Eck, on Wednesdays all schnitzels with a side dish are €10. On Thursdays all cocktails €5/0.5 liter. The schnitzel and fries were very tasty. Portion is absolutely ok for the price. The large Calpi with its 0.5 liters had it all. Any time.
