Gasthaus Goeke in Bochum

I have been a more or less regular guest at Goeke for about 50 years. I've never been disappointed!

Fast service and friendly employees

Great food, very nice service. In the evenings on weekends it's always pretty full - and unfortunately a bit loud. Otherwise great! Also very suitable for groups (birthdays etc.)!

Rustic classic tavern with various rooms and hall. Good home-style fresh food. Bad parking situation.

Nothing to complain about. There were 5 of us and we all ordered something different and everyone really enjoyed it. The warm staff and the cozy design of the store contribute to a very pleasant, calm atmosphere. And even when things got a little stressful, it had absolutely no impact on the cozy atmosphere. Another little tip: The Kaiserschman is really highly recommended

Beautiful, older, rustic inn in Bochum. Known far beyond the borders, with a huge hall, small pub,... Ideal for celebrations and events. Gladly again

We felt like we were in an old train station waiting room. The food wasn't so great that we could ignore it. The way to the toilets was adventurous.

The food was average. Round, thick carrot slices in a salad are not a big hit. Unfortunately, the attempt to partially caramelize the Kaiserschmarn failed because it was too thick. The service was subpar. We waited forever for drinks and then we couldn't order them anymore. The waiters were hectic. Because they ran quickly and quickly the whole time. It was sometimes very tight to get past our table because we were sitting in the middle of the room like we were on a presentation plate. Which made the ambience more like a train station hall. Too bad.

Unfortunately, I wasn't noticed when I entered the restaurant. The lumberjack steak didn't taste like anything. Only the salad was edible. However, when ordering, a waitress gives you the feeling that you are being casual. The other waitress was friendlier. The restaurant looks good from the inside. In general I didn't feel comfortable and I didn't like it either. I won't come back.

Went here for the first time as a couple and were completely satisfied. There is nothing to complain about here. Thank you again and again

Haven't been disappointed once in 27 years

I was skeptical at first when friends suggested this inn. However, when we arrived we were immediately greeted in a very friendly manner. The service was very dedicated and capable. The food was incredibly tasty and served almost piping hot. A very good inn, even if it seems old-fashioned at first glance.

Different people have different tastes and ideas! For me/us it's almost like a family here! School enrolments, baptisms, weddings, birthdays - we have already celebrated all of this here, with a very tasty meal, very friendly service and special requests that were handled with confidence:) The inn is very comfortably furnished and is located on the Grummer ponds. The location also offers pleasant paths for walking and lots of greenery! Gladly again at any time!

Another time we were at the Gasthaus Goeke and spontaneously had a delicious meal for the two of us. ☺️ We'll be happy to come back and take a seat under the chestnuts in the warm season.

We were invited for a birthday and were accommodated in a separate room, which was very nice. There were pork and turkey medallions, a vegetable platter, beans wrapped in bacon, potatoes, fries, croquettes, champion sauce, pepper sauce, salad and for dessert three different desserts, served in glasses. The food tasted excellent. The staff was super nice and the drinks were always brought quickly.

Service was very attentive. The interior is very old. The choice of food is far too large. The food was not convincing. SCHNITZEL were very thin and dry. Likewise the veal fillet schnitzel. Sorry, but no risk of repeat. Price performance for the food is simply not right.

Wienerschnitzel was tasty but two slices of sausage could have been way too small

Went there for dinner on Sunday, really great menu, very nice selection and the prices are absolutely okay. The staff was very friendly and attentive. The schnitzels we ordered were fried nice and thin and crispy, sauce with fresh mushrooms or onions... perfect. The beer garden is really great, lots of space, lots of seating and... home-baked cakes... great. My compliments to you and I'll be back...

Great inn! Really delicious food and super friendly staff! Had dinner there and had a nice seat in the beer garden. The portions were large and you'll definitely be full. The staff is helpful and responds to requests. We'll eat there again on our next visit to Bochum.

The apple pie was still lukewarm and tasted good. We got a table for 1.5 hours without a reservation. There was enough time to eat in peace. All dishes tasted very good.

Es war einfach besonders heute Abend. Unsere außergewöhnliche Bedienung Henrike hat uns von Anfang an das Gefühl gegeben, als Gast des Hauses willkommen zu sein und uns gerne zu bedienen. Das ist wirklich nicht selbstverständlich. Der Preis für 2 Bier (0,4 Liter), 2 Glas Grauburgunder und abschließend 2 Apérol Spritz und die beiden äußerst leckeren Gerichte (Schnitzel Rübezahl und Filetspieß Madagaskar) für etwas mehr als 70 EUR war äußerst zivil - wer will da meckern? 😉 Fazit: Es war wirklich besonders. Und wir sind einfach zu selten bei Goeke. 😊 Vielen Dank! 😊

It was just special tonight. From the very beginning, our exceptional waitress Henrike made us feel welcome as guests of the house and happy to serve us. This is really not a given. The price for 2 beers (0.4 liters), 2 glasses of Pinot Gris and finally 2 Apérol Spritz and the two extremely tasty dishes (Schnitzel Rübezahl and fillet skewer Madagascar) for just over 70 EUR was extremely reasonable - who can complain about that? 😉 Conclusion: It was really special. And we are just too rarely at Goeke. 😊 Thank you! 😊

Very rustic. Toilet facilities in the basement were described as "creepy" by other guests. Food quite ok.

The quality of the food was very poor and some of it didn't correspond to the menu description. The waiting time was also unacceptable. Overall, the price/performance ratio was not okay.

We go to the restaurant regularly because we go bowling there and the food is always wonderful. Went there today for a coffee with the dog 🐕 and there's also a really great memory card for the dog.

Good home cooking! Service outside was very slow or nonexistent. However, the store was full because of a European Championship game. Goeke has a really nice beer garden with old trees.

Good traditional restaurant and plenty of parking, as well as a great outdoor area. The service was courteous and quick. Anyone who wants to experience something traditional outside of the mainstream restaurant chains will get their money's worth here. It's great that something like this still exists, 👍

We always enjoy eating here. The staff is always very friendly and accommodating. The food is very good. Be sure to dine outside in the summer.

The food is presented very carelessly on the plates, every chip shop puts the food together better. The drinks prices are slowly but surely overpriced 5.90 for an alcohol-free wheat is really awesome. We're not on the Kö.

Gasthaus goeke was well attended on Sunday lunchtime. We had chicken soup as a starter to a buffet with dessert and coffee and cake buffet. It was great and very tasty. The service was good and child-friendly.

Unfortunately there are few parking spaces and they are very slanted on the hill

We were after ours Visit the Starlight Express Musical there! The home-style restaurant is within walking distance from there! Service and food were very good. The price-performance ratio was right! We had a lovely evening there!

Friendly and courteous service, good selection of food. Moderate prices and above all delicious food. A table should be reserved on weekends. A few small downers: Only a few parking spaces at the inn. During our visit (as a small group) We ate in a fairly large, well-filled room with a high level of noise. But that doesn't speak against a visit!

We had dinner with a larger group. All around good atmosphere. I will definitely visit this restaurant at the next opportunity. Everything appealing. Thanks for that!
