Absolutely delicious mussels, crispy fries, and a good wine—what more could you want? Very nice and friendly service.

The service was incredibly friendly, cheerful, and attentive; the team was fun and offered good advice on what to order. The fries were crispy, the dip was good, and the mussels were also good. The seating isn't particularly comfortable, and it's quite noisy, so relaxing and having a conversation isn't really an option, but you only have an hour or an hour and a half anyway.

Oh yeah - first visit was due to half minus Temperatur and half curiusity, that lead to a second visit because them two gals first time made extra room for me, the third visite was explicit...even when i had to wait another half hour them pommes ala carte was worth the wait...💬

What a place. The seafood at Muschelbar in Prenzlauer Berg is absolutely incredible—really incredible. I’ve been to many seafood spots, some of the best, and let me tell you, this one is right up there with the best of them. The mussels? Fantastic. Big, beautiful, perfectly cooked. People are talking about these mussels, believe me. The atmosphere is great, the service is strong—very friendly people, very professional. They know what they’re doing. You walk in and you immediately feel like you made a very good decision. And the flavors—tremendous flavors. If you like seafood, if you like mussels, you have to come here. A total winner. I give it five stars, maybe even more if I could. Absolutely tremendous. 🦪✨

My boyfriend and I celebrated our anniversary at the Muschelbar, and we couldn't have chosen a more beautiful place. Vicky gave us a warm welcome, and we were given a wonderful table right by the window. The menu is pleasantly concise and offers great variety. We opted for the two classic dishes and were absolutely delighted. We also enjoyed excellent wine and Picon beer; everything tasted fantastic. Many thanks to the entire team for this special evening. We felt very comfortable and will definitely be back!

Very cozy and welcoming restaurant. We all enjoyed our food- the mussels were delicious, portion sizes were great, amazing fries, sauvignon was the perfect accompaniment to the mains. The desserts (chocolate fondant and lemon sorbet) were the highlight. The servers were really friendly. Cons- Not a huge fan of the high chairs, some sand in the mussels.

Definitely 5 stars because it doesn’t fail to deliver what it promises. Delicious mussels and fries!

If you like moules frites, this is the place for you! Since the restaurant specializes in exactly that, don't expect anything else. And because space is limited, reservations are practically mandatory. And be sure to take a good look at the ceiling – left over from the previous owner!

I love the Muschelbar in Berlin! Every time I go there, I leave completely happy. The fries are by far the best in the whole city – perfectly crispy, yet delicious. Simply amazing!!! Delicious, unusual mussel dishes and poutine (small but excellent menu), the homemade celery kombucha spritz is incredibly refreshing! Mediterranean ambiance, very pretty and pleasant. The service is outstanding: friendly, motivated, quick, and attentive!!!!!! A place to feel good and enjoy excellent food!!!!!! I spent a lovely evening here with friends. We made a reservation in advance. The service was excellent! We were served quickly and friendly. The food was fantastic, super delicious. We sat outside and had a great time. The benches were also heated, which made it very comfortable. This was our second time there and we'll be back :) we're really looking forward to it 😍 The restrooms were also clean.

A magical place. The mussels are cooked in a Provençal style — simple yet full of flavor. With a bottle of red wine, it’s the perfect match. The setting is beautiful, the staff extremely friendly, and the mussels taste just like in the south of France. Well worth a visit.

A lovely restaurant with charming decor and fresco (if I got that right). The staff are super friendly and patient, especially with clueless customers like me who have no idea what’s on the menu. The mussels are tasty, but honestly, one portion might be a bit much on your own. Sharing different flavors with friends might be a good choice.

I haven't had better moules frites, even in Brittany! Add the Luberon and the world is a better place. All reasonably priced. See you!

I organised a team dinner. Everyone was super happy with their choices. The staff was super efficient and friendly. If you do not eat too much salt I recommend to ask less salt on the fries. Otherwise… enjoy ☺️ My favourite: A la crème 😍

Simply delicious and highly recommended. They really only serve mussels and fries. The fries had a crispy coating...not Belgian fried, but very tasty. The baguette was French-baked and so crispy. The Spanish-style mussels and the house special were excellent. The ambiance was very appealing...especially the blanket. It would be even more authentic if the mussels were served in a pot. The price of €53 for two drinks and two mussels is really fair. The service and staff were simply excellent and attentive. All in all...not our last visit to this bar. Highly recommended!

Coming from France and living in Berlin, we struggle sometimes to find restaurants in which we can get the real taste of french dishes: here was one of the best! I had the « à la crème » ones and they definitely compete with my best memories of them in France. Congrats ! The short menu, the good fries with the « rouille » sauce as cherry on the cake make it be all worth it, even if you add ~3€ compared to French prices for this little reminder 🥰

The Muschelbar in Berlin is highly recommended! From the friendly service and relaxed atmosphere to the fantastic mussels and incredibly delicious fries, everything was truly perfect. I'll definitely be back!

Mussels for anyone who's never been to France. It can't be that you can get uncleaned mussels for €20.50 or more! They serve it with a broth that's supposed to be Provençal, but is made with dill? The fries dip tastes bland and has skin from sitting for so long. The mussels are okay, even if a bit unappetizing uncleaned. Especially at this hefty price. The dish, including fries, would have cost a maximum of €16 in France. The wine prices are truly outrageous, though. A house wine costs €8 for 0.1l, or €34 for 0.7l. This contradicts the very principle of house wine: it usually comes from a barrel or a large bottle and is sold cheaply as a 0.5l carafe for €10-13. The service is almost too friendly, trying to somehow excuse the fact that each table only has 1.5 hours to eat by constantly asking if everything is OK. For everyone? Nope. For all the tourists who aren't French. Overly pretentious and simply not authentic and simple, as a simple French dish should be. A shame!

There weren't any tables available, but we were still allowed to eat on a bench by the tree. The fries were perfect with the mussels!🤤

We had a lovely time at Muschelbar! The atmosphere is charming, although it was quite hot inside during our visit. Luckily, we managed to get a table without a reservation, and the staff were very friendly and accommodating. The Sauvignon Blanc was absolutely outstanding – truly one of the highlights of the evening. I really enjoyed the Moules Frites; the mussels were fresh and flavorful. However, the French fries were a bit of a letdown, tasting more like standard frozen fries. While the prices are definitely on the higher side, it’s a great spot for a special occasion or a relaxed dinner for two or with a small group. All in all, a very enjoyable experience – I’d happily come back!

Been there last night!! It is so crowded and service is really organized and fast!! We had muscles in white wine and fries with some toppings. Muscles are 12/10 and fries were ok. Also, had the best aperol spritz ever

I can absolutely recommend this restaurant 100%. Not only were the mussels absolutely delicious and the Spritz delicious, but the service was also exceptionally friendly and prompt. I don't think I've ever experienced a nicer and more helpful waiter in Berlin. Since space is limited and the restaurant is incredibly popular, reservations are definitely recommended. I'll definitely be back again! It feels like Paris.

5 stars – Almost perfect, with a small criticism of the fries We were here yesterday to eat mussels – and what can I say: the atmosphere was top-notch, the service was super friendly, the beer was ice-cold, and the mussels were absolutely fantastic! Fresh, aromatic, and perfectly prepared. You can tell the food is cooked with love. But… the fries. Unfortunately, they were those modern "coated fries" – fries with an artificially crispy starch or flour coating. They stay crispy for a long time, but have that typical "crunchy franchise flavor" that almost overwhelms the real potato taste. Especially with such great mussels, we would have preferred classic, fine pommes allumettes without that coating – like you'd find in Belgium or Northern France. Without that crunch, the mussels and fries here would have been a real highlight for us! Conclusion: Great shop, great food, great people – with a little fries adjustment it would be 100% perfect for us.

This was so so so good. The best mussels in Berlin. We got a la maison with peas and blue cheese and it was delicious. The fries were amazing as well. The portion was big too we share the one in the picture as 2 people and we were so full at the end. We went early and got lucky so we didn’t have to make reservation but it is highly recommended if you go there in a busy night. The atmosphere, the design of restaurant was also pretty good. It was an amazing meal , highly recommend this place and will try the other kinds of mussels as well next time.

Very cool place. I love small intimates and fun place like this. Small menu which is amazing, focus only on mussels and they do it perfectly. The wine is really good and staff has great recommendations. The lady who was working there that day was so fun and made us have an amazing night. Cannot with to go back there.

There are 1.5 hour slots allocated in the evening - so you're a bit rushed and it won't be comfortable.
