Wonderful experience. The selection of preparation methods is unique, along with perfect wine and excellent, warm-hearted service. Always happy!

Having grown up in Brussels, Belgium where moules (mussels) are a particular culinary attribute to the Belgians, I was blown away by the Muschelbar. The service was friendly and exceptional, and the food was simply delicious, everything was perfect. I can't recommend this place enough, it is perfect to meet with a friend, or a romantic date, it truly has the right atmosphere. I would give it 6 stars if I could!

Super tasty! We had white brew and red. The white super tasty rounded taste with celery, white wine. The red one is very fruity and tomato. The fries with the sauce were super crispy and probably the best we've ever had. All in all with delicious white wine 10/10 and absolutely recommended!

Really good money for value and the place is always buzzin. The service is great and they even allowed me to eat in the place next to it, since it was packed. Keep up the good work!

We had such a lovely evening here!! Our friend Chris celebrated his birthday and it was really a CELEBRATION😍 The food was really tasty and perfect if you want to treat yourself without being extremely shocked by the price afterwards. In the mussel bar you will always be warmly welcomed and advised by the staff. Everyone is very friendly and the atmosphere is just great. The mussels and the wines are simply extremely delicious! Everything just fits!! I really enjoy bringing my friends here!

I walked past it every morning and every evening, twice a day. Now I was finally in, and I want to eat Moules Frite again tomorrow at the mussel bar. The map is very clear, which makes decision-making very easy. There are three different varieties of mussels in different brews. It actually comes with the tastiest fries I've eaten in a long time! A generous bowl of mussels and plenty of fries costs €20, which I think is a very fair price. We also drank a white wine, which was also very tasty. The staff is friendly and nice. Especially after the renovation, the mussel bar is also very friendly decorated inside. And yet I recommend sitting outside. I think it makes sense to reserve in advance. It's actually always full and all the seats are taken. I would recommend the mussel bar to my parents and go back there straight away

Finally back after six weeks renovation. Prices higher than before, but quality top notch, so not complaining. Service wonderful as ever. A must-go once a month :)

Perfect fries and just the right wine. The restaurant is small and super cozy, which creates a great, communicative atmosphere. The places are in demand, so be sure to reserve in advance! The service is warm and attentive, you immediately feel at home. In short: a culinary highlight that you shouldn't miss!

The mussels in the picture cost €19.50 with a portion of fries and a bit of baguette. It was super tasty and reasonably priced. The food definitely gets 5/5 stars for that. The location wasn't that pleasant outside. It seemed rushed and larger tables were shared with other guests. Additionally, the tables weren't wiped down after the guests in front of us and the seating just wasn't that inviting.

We went there yesterday with no reservations, and luckily we found a table. The food was fantastic, the portions were good, the wine was great, and the service was just excellent! It’s rare in Berlin to have a full experience. Well done guys!

Very small and fine restaurant right on Helmholtzplatz. A must in Berlin for mussel lovers! Very nice service and location. Since it's not very big, a reservation is recommended.

Food was great! The lady didn’t care to serve us, as we had to ask for everything twice. We had to get up and get menus ourselves. We had to catch her to give our orders. And so on. But rest of the team was very helpful. We had a reservation and we didn’t wait. The food was also great. I’ll come back for sure.

Absolutely outstanding restaurant. Very small and cozy. The moules are delicious, the fries were one of the best I had in a long while. Good variety of French wines and also picon beer. Staff was very friendly! Would rate it 11/10 and visit anytime again!

Was with a group of people and it took a long time to get our table even though we had a reservation. I only ate French fries as I don’t like mussels (team dinner with coworkers), but they were amazing! Super crispy, nice salt and pepper seasoning, and delicious garlic aioli. Tried two different kinds of mussels that coworkers ordered and they were much better than I was expecting. Cocktails and wine were nice. Indoor and outdoor seating. Honestly not great for a group (we were 9) but good for couples or small group of friends. I don’t like mussels but I would eat here again.

A nice concept, mussels are the focus here. The mussels are quickly served on the table with either red sauce or the light house sauce. Good bread and a glass of rosé, a nice thing.

Just super delicious! There are only high tables with bar stools, which isn't particularly comfortable. But the service is top, the wines are very tasty and my favorite are the mussels with the white broth. And I would say they have the tastiest fries in town.

Delicious mussels and fries, and great service. The restaurant has a lovely vibe too. The only issue (to me) were the very high chairs that made it a bit uncomfortable to sit. While you only have this type of seating indoors, outdoors there are a few lower tables and chairs too, and if I had the option to sit there, the experience would have been absolutely perfect. I’ll try asking for it while reserving next time! 🤞

Simple menu, super tasty. The mussels are fresh and in a great wine sauce. The fries are crispy. The white wine was also very good. Overall, a nice restaurant that you should definitely make a reservation at.

I was so impressed! The food here was fresh, simple ingredients yet so complex in taste. The mussels were amazing but the fries were without a doubt the best i have ever eaten - paired with sea salt they really complement the oceanic taste of the mussels. The staff was so friendly and attentive. I have nothing bad to say about this place. You do need a reservation though and while the pricepoint may be a bit higher, it was totally fair for the amount and quality of the food. In love !

If you love mussels, this is the right place for you. A great little restaurant with excellent service. The prices are completely reasonable and the mussels are super tasty. It is advisable to reserve in advance and then you have a time slot of 90 minutes. That wasn't our last visit to the mussel bar! Top!!!

After browsing places in Berlin that serve Moules Frites I told my boyfriend about this specific place which resulted in him taking me here for our anniversary and let me tell you, it was the best decision ever! I spend my summers in the South of France eating fresh Moules Frites and this place could EASILY compete with the quality I'm used to and was so deeply craving. The price/performance ratio is incredible, some of the best fries I've had, the homemade dip is amazing and the mussles are to die for. The portion is huge, no empties or closed shells and the meat is so so tender and flavorful. The elderflower limo as well as the Picon Bière are so tasty. Besides the amazing food the ambiance was so so incredibly lovely! Made you feel like you were in a little parisian bistro, it's truly the perfect mix between fancy but still down-to-earth. The interior is so beautiful and aesthetic. We had a reservation and sat right at the bar which was fun! Next time I'd definitely try and reserve the table in the open window! The outside seating was lovely as well, especially the two tiny gingham tablecloth-covered tables next to the tree! Oh and not to forget— service was great and everyone is really friendly! Will definitely come here again and take my mum here as well when she comes to visit! 1000/10 would recommend :)

The two of us went there spontaneously, but it is recommended to make a reservation. The staff was so kind and kept the table free when we came back after half an hour. We received a warm welcome and the atmosphere was also very inviting. We had the Moules Frites in red stock and a la Maison. The mussels tasted fresh and were clean. Perfectly crispy fries! The selection of drinks was also good. Everything was just right. Overall, I can only warmly recommend the restaurant. The concept is simple, simply good! And the service, very friendly ;)

A clear concept implemented to perfection. The Muschelbar is a small restaurant with a very simple menu: There are moules frites (optionally with giant beans instead of French fries) in white or red stock. First of all, the service: the service was uncomplicated, very friendly and with perfect timing. It doesn't get any better. Ambiance: The mussel bar immediately creates an ambience that makes you feel good and is stylish at the same time. The open kitchen completes the picture. You feel like you're in a restaurant that's about to serve you the best moules frites. And with that, food & drink: It was pure joy. The mussels are fresh, clean and taste great. The broth demands to be spooned out, it is that good. To describe the fries as crispy would be an understatement. The wine served in our case (from the Luberon) fits perfectly, the final espresso is piping hot and a pleasure. Here a fairly simple concept is executed to perfection and every detail fits. Our visit couldn't have been improved at any point - cheers, dear mussel bar!

Excellent moulles frites! Small note: The girls who had the table before us pretended to ignore us and overstayed by 15 minutes. I wish the staff would be more proactive about these things.

Moules frites was okay. I was expecting better sauces since it is the main thing. The recipe tasted more German than French. I‘d recommend the classic one over the white sauce. The fries were very good. And the service was friendly. I‘m glad I tried here, but I still can‘t say that its possible to get good mussels in sauce in Berlin.

Pommes wirklich lit. Muscheln haben so geschmeckt wie sie sollten. Ambiente wenig einladend und gemütlich. Kann man machen - muss man aber nicht.

Me (35) and my wife (31) came here for a nice dinner. We really enjoyed our time in this cute place. The food was really delicious and the fries were the best I have had in Berlin so far (I have lived here for seven years). The waitress was super nice and very attentive. I think this is a great place for a nice dinner with a friend or your partner. Unfortunately, the place is quite small and it is packed (reservation required). Therefore it is quite noisy. Just move to one of the many fancy bars nearby after enjoying the delicious food here.

Als Franzose kann ich nur sagen: Chapeau! Muscheln sind top und hier gibts definitiv die besten Pommes in ganz Berlin! Preise sind in Ordnung. Komme gerne wieder🙌🏼

Super Platz, hat uns allen gefallen. Leckere Muscheln, Pommes und Getränke. Kleine Karte und etwas eng drin, was aber nicht stört.

this is a really nice place, they do exactly one thing and do it really well: there are not too many places like that in the city. the stuff is very friendly and professional and we felt very welcomed. the place is very full so just not to risk it reserve a table. worth the drive.

200 out of 10. Great food, easy, you know what you get and there is no fuss. I loved the fact that, even if they had no space, they made arrangements with the next door bar, so we actually sat there. It was a great mix - good drinks from the bar and wonderful food. The fries are to die for. And the mussels, fresh, nicely prepared. If you are more of a “white wine” mussels person, it’s probably going to need a soft adjustment, they have some with dill, but on the sweater side. Great food nonetheless. And great vibe. And really welcoming staff.

Overall nice restaurant. Small selection of drinks though. In a direct comparison with RekorderBar it cannot win the mules frittes game. Nevertheless nice place, not super cozy as the door is always open and it gets quite cold inside.

Eine Entdeckung: Lecker Muscheln in mehr als zwei Variationen! Dabei sehr freundliche Ansprache, Ambiente ehrlich, alle Gäste eng beieinander. Holztische draußen, Blick auf den Helmholtzplatz und internationales Publikum.

Wieder ein Beweis dafür, daß weniger Karte mehr ist. Absolut lecker Essen und die Bedienung versuche ich zu heiraten.
