Nice service, small but nice menu

I want to go here again. Great staff and the mussels were unrivaled in their deliciousness.

We tried all of the muscles and all the dishes were fabulously delicious!

They take their time, provide expert advice on wine selection and support you with recommendations for food. A big thank you to the team for this wonderful evening! The food was simply fantastic: the mussels were delicious, the fries were perfectly crispy and we even really enjoyed the dessert. A place you should definitely visit - we will definitely come back!

Very tasty, mussels in Berlin yes, the mussels are completely fine. Of course not comparable to fresh from the sea. Definitely an enrichment for Berlin. 💪 Our recommendation: mussels in white stock. There is no Pils here, but light beer.

Yesterday we had the pleasure of getting a table in the Muschel Bar and we really couldn't have had a nicer start to the weekend. The mussels were amazing and the service was great. You can't stay there for long, as the next guests will look for their seats after the reserved hour and a half. We were there at 5 p.m., which has the advantage that the small, charming shop is not yet bursting at the seams. After a visit there, there are countless bars nearby to end the evening. We ended up in the panties bar next door and were very happy there too.

Excellent service, heavenly delicious food. Possibility to reserve for the early evening on a Friday afternoon. We'd love to come back!

Absolute perfection on the 3xfried fritte, like you used to get in Brussels but no more — and the mussels. The sauces were a little heavy handed but makes sense given it’s Berlin and a lot of drinking’s happening. The house aperitif is superb, and the wine recommendation we got by the glass was superb. Also, I had the ridiculous winter special with gorgonzola, almonds, and brussel sprouts, and loved it. Nothing vegan but the drinks.

I highly recommend making a reservation, which can easily be done online. Finding a spot inside can be challenging, especially during winter. This place is known for its delicious mussels, and the menu changes from time to time, keeping things fresh and exciting. It's the perfect spot to enjoy amazing mussels and have a great time chatting with friends over wine. We went with friends and had a fantastic experience. I can’t recommend it enough!

I can only warmly recommend the mussel bar! The mussels were to die for – fresh, tender and perfectly seasoned. There were also the best fries I've had in a long time - crispy and golden brown. The vibe in the bar was super relaxed and inviting, you immediately feel at home. The atmosphere is perfect for a cozy evening with friends or a romantic dinner. The staff was super friendly and attentive. Definitely a place I will visit again and again!

An almost magical place that could also be in France on the Côte d'Azur. The mussel broth is fantastic, the fries are crispy and the wine selection is small but fine. I'm a fan!

Went there last Sunday evening and were glad we had reserved. Apparently it's already widely known that you'll get your money's worth here, because the mussel bar was full and so we had to wait a bit for our table, although we were there a little too early. Nevertheless, we received a friendly welcome from the service and were already provided with delicious drinks. So we were able to take in the stylish ambience. After a short time we were able to go to our table and order two of three menu options. Even though the restaurant was full, we didn't have to wait too long for our food. The food itself was phenomenal, simply delicious and very well balanced. You'll be served delicious bread to dip the delicious brew into and you'll really get your money's worth! You can really tell that they have specialized in a limited selection here. The espressos at the end were also delicious. All in all one of the best, if not the best, restaurant visit in Berlin. An absolute recommendation if you fancy mussels!

WOW as in WOW. Mussels served in three different sauces, perfect fries, and some great wines. That's all you need for a wonderful meal. The decor is so simple yet cozy.

Basically I liked the food. However, other restaurants can do this too, so I don't have to go to the mussel bar. There are only mussels and I would have liked more selection/variations on the menu. It's best to show up on time, otherwise there's a big risk of being left outside. If you're late, the clock is ticking... okay, understandable. After the time has elapsed, please get out again quickly. The staff is friendly, you can't say anything about it, it's just that the concept is not for quiet eating and enjoying. The shop is nice, the food is okay, so basically everything is fine. I would just miss that special thing to give it a higher rating.

Having grown up in Brussels, Belgium where moules (mussels) are a particular culinary attribute to the Belgians, I was blown away by the Muschelbar. The service was friendly and exceptional, and the food was simply delicious, everything was perfect. I can't recommend this place enough, it is perfect to meet with a friend, or a romantic date, it truly has the right atmosphere. I would give it 6 stars if I could!

Super tasty! We had white brew and red. The white super tasty rounded taste with celery, white wine. The red one is very fruity and tomato. The fries with the sauce were super crispy and probably the best we've ever had. All in all with delicious white wine 10/10 and absolutely recommended!

Really good money for value and the place is always buzzin. The service is great and they even allowed me to eat in the place next to it, since it was packed. Keep up the good work!

I am a french cook - best Moules Frites in Berlin. Amazing how a little place in Berlin offers better Moules Frites than most of places in France!

Our friend Chris celebrated his birthday and it was really a CELEBRATION😍 The food was really tasty and perfect if you want to treat yourself without being extremely shocked by the price afterwards. In the mussel bar you will always be warmly welcomed and advised by the staff. Everyone is very friendly and the atmosphere is just great. The mussels and the wines are simply extremely delicious! Everything just fits!! I really enjoy bringing my friends here!

I walked past it every morning and every evening, twice a day. Now I was finally in, and I want to eat Moules Frite again tomorrow at the mussel bar. The map is very clear, which makes decision-making very easy. There are three different varieties of mussels in different brews. It actually comes with the tastiest fries I've eaten in a long time! A generous bowl of mussels and plenty of fries costs €20, which I think is a very fair price. We also drank a white wine, which was also very tasty. The staff is friendly and nice. Especially after the renovation, the mussel bar is also very friendly decorated inside. And yet I recommend sitting outside. I think it makes sense to reserve in advance. It's actually always full and all the seats are taken. I would recommend the mussel bar to my parents and go back there straight away

Finally back after six weeks renovation. Prices higher than before, but quality top notch, so not complaining. Service wonderful as ever. A must-go once a month :)

A real insider tip in Prenzlauer Berg: The Muschelbar on Dunckerstrasse. Here you can find incredibly delicious mussels in different variations - always fresh, always top. Perfect fries and just the right wine. The restaurant is small and super cozy, which creates a great, communicative atmosphere. The places are in demand, so be sure to reserve in advance! The service is warm and attentive, you immediately feel at home. In short: a culinary highlight that you shouldn't miss!

The mussels in the picture cost €19.50 with a portion of fries and a bit of baguette. It was super tasty and reasonably priced. The food definitely gets 5/5 stars for that. The location wasn't that pleasant outside. It seemed rushed and larger tables were shared with other guests. Additionally, the tables weren't wiped down after the guests in front of us and the seating just wasn't that inviting.

Food was great! The lady didn’t care to serve us, as we had to ask for everything twice. We had to get up and get menus ourselves. We had to catch her to give our orders. And so on. But rest of the team was very helpful. We had a reservation and we didn’t wait. The food was also great. I’ll come back for sure.

Was with a group of people and it took a long time to get our table even though we had a reservation. I only ate French fries as I don’t like mussels (team dinner with coworkers), but they were amazing! Super crispy, nice salt and pepper seasoning, and delicious garlic aioli. Tried two different kinds of mussels that coworkers ordered and they were much better than I was expecting. Cocktails and wine were nice. Indoor and outdoor seating. Honestly not great for a group (we were 9) but good for couples or small group of friends. I don’t like mussels but I would eat here again.

A nice concept, mussels are the focus here. The mussels are quickly served on the table with either red sauce or the light house sauce. Good bread and a glass of rosé, a nice thing.

Just super delicious! There are only high tables with bar stools, which isn't particularly comfortable. But the service is top, the wines are very tasty and my favorite are the mussels with the white broth. And I would say they have the tastiest fries in town.

Delicious mussels and fries, and great service. The restaurant has a lovely vibe too. The only issue (to me) were the very high chairs that made it a bit uncomfortable to sit. While you only have this type of seating indoors, outdoors there are a few lower tables and chairs too, and if I had the option to sit there, the experience would have been absolutely perfect. I’ll try asking for it while reserving next time! 🤞

I was so impressed! The food here was fresh, simple ingredients yet so complex in taste. The mussels were amazing but the fries were without a doubt the best i have ever eaten - paired with sea salt they really complement the oceanic taste of the mussels. The staff was so friendly and attentive. I have nothing bad to say about this place. You do need a reservation though and while the pricepoint may be a bit higher, it was totally fair for the amount and quality of the food. In love !

If you love mussels, this is the right place for you. A great little restaurant with excellent service. The prices are completely reasonable and the mussels are super tasty. It is advisable to reserve in advance and then you have a time slot of 90 minutes. That wasn't our last visit to the mussel bar! Top!!!

After browsing places in Berlin that serve Moules Frites I told my boyfriend about this specific place which resulted in him taking me here for our anniversary and let me tell you, it was the best decision ever! I spend my summers in the South of France eating fresh Moules Frites and this place could EASILY compete with the quality I'm used to and was so deeply craving. The price/performance ratio is incredible, some of the best fries I've had, the homemade dip is amazing and the mussles are to die for. The portion is huge, no empties or closed shells and the meat is so so tender and flavorful. The elderflower limo as well as the Picon Bière are so tasty. Besides the amazing food the ambiance was so so incredibly lovely! Made you feel like you were in a little parisian bistro, it's truly the perfect mix between fancy but still down-to-earth. The interior is so beautiful and aesthetic. We had a reservation and sat right at the bar which was fun! Next time I'd definitely try and reserve the table in the open window! The outside seating was lovely as well, especially the two tiny gingham tablecloth-covered tables next to the tree! Oh and not to forget— service was great and everyone is really friendly! Will definitely come here again and take my mum here as well when she comes to visit! 1000/10 would recommend :)

We received a warm welcome and the atmosphere was also very inviting. We had the Moules Frites in red stock and a la Maison. The mussels tasted fresh and were clean. Perfectly crispy fries!
