One of the best dining experiences I've ever had! The food was incredibly delicious, the service was impeccable, and the stylish ambiance added a touch of elegance. It was absolutely worth every dollar spent.

Big and tasty beef schnitzel; very welcoming staff

Were there to eat fondue. Unfortunately they no longer had the wines for the fondue menu. Service was great. The table is a bit too small. The fondue came with plenty of side dishes and was definitely good value for money.

+ Friendly service + Nice atmosphere - Boxer breakfast was a bit small, one ingredient missing, ham was more boiled than fried - 4.90 for a tea (which is nothing special) is too much It took over 30 minutes between getting the best and eating, which I think is a bit long for brunch, but it's just about okay. The tables were not fully occupied.

Sunday was very busy, but they took very good care of us. Our coffees and desserts arrived very quickly. Desserts were very nice, I especially loved the choco tart. It tasted like a brownie, but the top wasn't as dry. Thank you😍

I actually wanted to give the store 5 stars. Great food, really nice service, nice atmosphere. However, this impression was suddenly clouded after paying. It was the first spring evening with acceptable temperatures and I had packed a cigar as a precaution. I also wanted to end the evening nicely - on the terrace, of course. I specifically asked for a tonic with the cigar, which was delivered quickly. I sat outside for over an hour, no one was bothered (the two ladies at the next table even ordered dessert). When I went to the toilet after paying and finishing the cigar, the (presumably) owner came up to me and said I should please stop smoking next time, as many guests went in because of that. I would just assume that they went in because the temperatures were dropping - now 11 degrees. If cigar smokers are not welcome - no problem. I'm used to it. Then just say BEFORE. Giving paying guests another one doesn't show good taste. Don't worry about next time, I won't come back.

I’ve been here before and had good experiences, but this time was deeply disappointing—I’m not sure I’ll be coming back. The receptionist was rude and made us feel as though we were being discriminated against because of our race. We had a reservation for 11:30 and were seated, but shortly after, the receptionist told us we couldn’t sit there because the table would be combined with the one next to it for a group of four. We moved without complaint. However, we later saw that the table was given to another couple, not a group, which made it feel like the excuse was just a way to deny us the table. To make matters worse, we had to wait nearly an hour for our food. I do want to acknowledge that the waitstaff were kind and helped us once we raised the issue. But the way we were treated by the receptionist left a terrible impression.

I like the place, I like the food and service. The only thing I find a little bit needs getting used to is how close the tables are to each other. I

The place has a nice theme. I got the schnitzel and my friend got the club sandwich. I wouldn’t recommend the schnitzel, better go eat somewhere else. But the club sandwich looked amazing and the fries were extremely good. We had to ask extra for the mayonnaise, even though a bottle of ketchup was put on our table. They brought the mayo in tiny cups and were weirded out by my request. But friendly crew, open on Sundays. Good place to go when other places are packed.

I don't recommend this restaurant if you want to come with a lot of people. We had a problem with our order and the way the waiter handled the situation was totally disrespectful and aggressive.

Our choice for dinner, which we ate in a decent atmosphere, was mainly fish and seafood. The delicious appetizers and salads were great. The friendly staff and cleanliness did not disappoint my guests. The prices were very reasonable compared to the food quality and service...

The pre-ordered cheese fondue experience was solid in taste, but not exceptional. The real highlight was the authentic 70s interior, which creates a unique ambience and invites you to indulge. An experience in which the nostalgic feeling is clearly in the foreground.

We spent a nice evening with friends with delicious food in a super cool ambience in the next room in mother's kitchen from the 70s. Service was super nice and really good. Unfortunately there are a few points deducted: the potato salad was unfortunately a convenience product “from the bucket”. I would have liked a homemade classic Bavarian potato salad in a restaurant where the menu already mentions the butter (and almost the name of the cow ;-)) in which the cordon bleu (very excellent) is fried. There is still potential here. Unfortunately, the yeast dumpling for dessert was completely hard, not fluffy. Feel free to stop by our Austrian neighbors here! ;-) We would still like to come back, sometimes for fondue in mother’s kitchen. Kind regards from Augsburg

Great breakfast in a special atmosphere. We had the “winning breakfast” for two people and were thrilled. The quality and quantity of the food was excellent and fairly priced. The coffee is also very tasty. Gladly again!

The food was reasonably good, but the place was extremely crowded so there was no privacy at all. The tables are far too small, it was very loud, and unfortunately the service did not meet expectations.

The crowded atmosphere isn’t really my thing, you can barely sit, and the tables are way too close to each other. But to be honest, the food is quite good. The waiters, however, need to be more professional.

The food was really good and there was a staff member who was extremely friendly. Unfortunately, however, we had an extremely negative experience with our waiter. He was rude and made fun of the way I spoke German. I've been living in Germany for 25 years and my German is at a very high level - but apparently that wasn't enough for him. It was the employee with the distinctive 80s look. If it were my restaurant, I would fire him. Such behavior is truly unacceptable and disappointing – for the Glockenbachviertel, Munich, Germany and all of humanity.

Nowhere was there a horrendous price of €33 PER PERSON for the vegan fondue, instead people were misled with an alleged offer price of €23 (there is nothing about per person!) for fondue in January when pre-ordered. We made a reservation including stating that we wanted vegan fondue, but apparently that wasn't enough to take advantage of the offer and of course it doesn't apply to vegan fondue either! Please indicate the price and don't play hide and seek with it! The price of the vegan fondue was nowhere in the menus that we had on the table in the restaurant. It wasn't explained to us what was delivered with the fondue and it wasn't mentioned at all that the stuff for dipping could be refilled free of charge. It tasted very good, but for the rip-off price and misleading presentation, I'd rather make the vegan cheese sauce myself at home next time. Addendum: Let's not quibble about whether cheese can be vegan or not. There are many people who also use the term cheese (or schnitzel, milk, sausage, etc.) for the vegan version, for the sake of simplicity. So yes, as a layman I assume cheese fondue is an umbrella term, of which “vegan” can be a variant. And what other price should I expect if the vegan cheese fondue is nowhere on the menu that was presented to me? Tip: Check out “pre-order” in normal language or just think something customer-friendly. If I reserve a table online at a restaurant and select the vegan fondue from a drop-down menu, then I naturally assume that I have pre-ordered. If by pre-order you mean pre-pay, then say so.

I can't get enough of this restaurant. Despite the numerous options in the area, this one consistently exceeds my expectations.

I went to this restaurant for the first time today and I have to say it was a fantastic experience. The staff greeted me warmly and I felt welcome from the first moment.

At Munich 72 you can have a wonderful afternoon with coffee and vegan cake, as well as eat a nice burger. The service is outstanding, always attentive and super friendly. I think the prices for a burger with fries are too expensive. Otherwise everything was wonderful.

New Year A hectic evening with lots of broken dishes. Instead of filling the restaurant so tightly that you can hardly get up and serve, I think the principle of “less is more” should be followed. At around 100 euros per person you can expect this! However, the truffle cheese fondue and the fondue chinoise were very tasty.

New Year's Eve: The cheese truffle fondue and the meat fondue were delicious. However, the dessert (parfait) was not at a restaurant level. The food and drink cost a total of €120 per person and was a bit expensive for what we did. The service was very different, the owner was very hectic and annoyed. The lovely serving daughter significantly improved the service. The ambience was great, the decoration was great, the seating was a flop. You had to squeeze out between the tables to get to the toilet.

Great gin and tonics and the service was great. Would certainly recommend for those in the neighborhood to pop in.

Wow, the food here is absolutely amazing! This has to be one of the best restaurants in the area. Every dish looked so tempting that it was hard to choose just one.

We had a fantastic Christmas party at München72. The staff was quick and super friendly, even though it was busy. Always my pleasure!

The cheese fondue is mild and very tasty. Service was very accommodating, wines were great - value for money was reasonable. Unfortunately, the seating distances are unreasonable, you don't have enough space for your side dishes, you sit on the lap of your neighbor at the table and can also listen to all the conversations. This is often criticized, but unfortunately it falls on deaf ears from the boss. The volume on a Saturday evening was above average, making it a bit difficult to carry on a conversation.

We had the vegan „cheese“ fondue and it was spectacular! I have not eaten cheese for over 20 years, so I can’t compare the flavor. In and by itself it was a very pleasant and round flavor. Refills of all the food was included. The waiter was very attentive and friendly although the restaurant was packed. We enjoyed it a lot.

I have been to München72 many times and can recommend breakfast, lunch and dinner. Cheese fondue is an absolute must during Advent. If you really want to get into the Christmas spirit and have a good time, you definitely have to go there!

We only came here because every other café in the area was occupied and this one was was also super full already which is why we had to sit very close and kinda crammed to our neighbors. Even though this café has been rated quite well, the food was honestly a disappointment. We had avocado bread with egg and first of all the avocado was super hard and didn’t taste like anything. Second, the bread with egg was really nothing special - you can easily make it yourself at home. And last, the coffee was watery and cold which is kind of hard to achieve considering it was just black coffee. Bottom line: This was not worth it and we didn’t even take pictures.

Came here twice in a 3-day stay in München. The Münchner Schnitzel was fantastic, accompanied by some of the best fries I've had in Germany. The cheese fondue was also very tasty (requires a reservation, though). Would highly recommend both, and will definitely return in a future visit!

The location is fantastic and the food is absolutely amazing. Our server was extremely professional and had impressive knowledge of the menu. He provided us with detailed information and obviously knew his stuff.

Let's start with the slightly less pleasant points. Service was moderate to poor at the beginning. Music questionable to disturbing. Turn around in the middle of the evening. We end up at Marco's bar after 1:45 minutes when we were asked to pay because the next guests were waiting for our table with their welcome drink. A) there was a welcome drink?” B) our table reservation was 3/4 hours longer? Kudos to Marco and his bar - not only his service deserves 5 stars but also his Christmas Negroni with a cinnamon stick and speculoos surprise as a farewell :) If you love cheese and enjoy sitting at the bar at Marco's, you should treat yourself to an evening at München72!

I was here for dinner on the evening of July 31st. The schnitzel was great value for money and even American Express was accepted for credit cards. However, the toilets seemed very dingy, and on the way there there were dishes and leftover food piled up on the side. Not very tasteful. I would still come back.

Everything is just right here. There's something to look at for sports fans and retro lovers, including loving details on the walls and ceilings and wonderful '72 ashtrays, also a nice relic for non-smokers. In addition, absolutely friendly employees who enjoy what they do and remain relaxed and helpful despite the full café. Plus the extra delicious breakfast with a successful and varied selection. Feel free to clone yourself and open a branch in Hamburg, it doesn't really fit, but we would celebrate you.

I've been a regular at '72 for years. It's always delicious and there's always something new on offer. Lastly I had the vegan currywurst. And I have to say, this was the best currywurst I've had in a long time. Well, I've been vegetarian for a few years and it's been a while since my last "real Currwurst". Even if every meat/vegetarian comparison is flawed, the meal is damn good. Thank you for existing. Oliver
