Na1988 - Asia Food in München

Highly recommended! We've rarely had such good Asian food. The food was of outstanding quality and simply delicious. Add to that a very friendly welcome and a great atmosphere. A thoroughly enjoyable evening – we would definitely come back!

We went to the restaurant for dinner on January 18, 2026. We arrived at 5:15 PM, and it was empty except for two people. Despite this, we were asked if we had a reservation. When we said no, they told us they only had two tables available until 6:30 PM. This was rather unfriendly, and they checked the computer first. However, after we agreed, we were given a table for two. During the meal, only five people arrived in total until 6:30 PM! We thought it would be very busy until then. When we finished eating, only one more person arrived, and the other tables remained empty! The restaurant was cold and uncomfortable, with dim lighting and painted dark green. The meal (rice noodles with duck and vegetables, €19.90) was not worth the price. The noodles were reasonably hot, the vegetables were lukewarm, and the pieces of duck were small and partly tough, probably reheated. It was not enjoyable. We've had better food at Asian restaurants for that price. The other dish also had noodles and vegetables plus beef, but very little meat, and cost €15.90. Overall disappointing and no atmosphere.

Lots of decoration on the plate. We had a reservation but weren't allowed to sit at one of the nice, empty tables. In the end, we had a very good view into the kitchen, which was interesting but detracted from the ambiance. The food was very good.

Yesterday I ate at the NA 1988 restaurant and saw a new server there, as I go there regularly. The employee was completely inexperienced and unfortunately behaved very rudely and disrespectfully, even though the food was excellent as always.

Really good Asian food and service. Portions were big and the price was great for what you get.

It's always lovely to spend an evening here. The menu is similar to most Vietnamese restaurants. The quality is truly excellent and appropriate for the price. The service is always attentive, but sometimes a little slow. That happens everywhere, though, and the food is incredibly delicious, and the minimalist yet cozy decor invites you to linger.

Is a good waiter missing? I had contact with him for almost three years, and he's no longer here? Whether he's a waiter or at the bar, he always has a friendly smile? What a shame.

Always delicious and fresh. The udon noodles are truly delicious, and the sushi is fantastic. And beautifully presented. We always eat here when we're in Munich. We can also recommend the Kaiser's tea 😍

New favorite restaurant! For dining in or takeout, the presentation is fantastic, the taste is exceptionally good, and everything is freshly prepared with a variety of ingredients (carrots, sprouts, etc.). The vegetarian traditional noodle dish was especially delicious and even the cardboard box was beautifully presented. The owner is incredibly friendly and attentive, truly representing the cuisine and even bringing our food out to us. I'm absolutely convinced, and the value for money is outstanding.

Unfortunately, we weren't convinced – there's plenty of room for improvement! The visit was rather disappointing overall. Despite the beautiful location, we were the only guests during our entire stay – it didn't feel very inviting; we felt more observed than welcomed. The service was okay, but not particularly attentive. There were fixed seating assignments, which was a bit odd in a completely empty restaurant – free seating would have been much more appropriate here. The food was beautifully presented, but tasted only average – not a culinary highlight. On the plus side, the staff were very friendly when paying. Conclusion: Nice idea, but lacking in atmosphere, hospitality, and culinary refinement. Unfortunately, we won't be returning.

Delicious, friendly service and fair price

I travel a lot around the world and to restaurants, but this was absolutely top-notch food. Very tastefully prepared, with so many little details. The taste? Simply 12 out of 10!

Highly recommended. Excellent food (including sushi/sashimi) at very reasonable prices (and very generous portions, too). While the wine selection isn't particularly extensive, the selection is delicious, with some South Tyrolean wines.

Small and impressive The service staff was very friendly, my food was ready quickly, and it tasted absolutely delicious. The Kaisertea is definitely recommended and also serves as a dessert since you can eat the goji berries and other ingredients in it. I'll definitely be back when I'm in the area. There's parking available on the street, so it's easy.

Very great and pleasant restaurant with great food and very friendly service. We had 4 different types of food, everything was great. The sushi and dessert had great smoke effects with dry ice, a highlight for the children. Always happy again.

The location was easy to be found, parking had no issue at 1200. However, once we entered, inside had a kind of smell (not pleasant), maybe more fresh air helps, the seats and tables didn’t look comfy and cozy (like Mensa style) the only better table would be the one right next to the window however it was taken. Sadly we decided to leave for somewhere smells more fresh to start a weekend….

We are regular customers, the food tastes delicious, but unfortunately the price-performance ratio is no longer right. We paid €12.90 for a scoop of ice cream and five canned lychees - after asking how the amount was made up, the service came loudly and said that would be the price.

The Sushi here is amazing. We enjoyed every bite of it. They also decorate your platter with a small plant and dry ice... It was so cool.

Located just outside on the southern outskirts of the city, this small Vietnamese restaurant impresses with delicious food at affordable prices. The wontons are very crispy and tasty, the pho has a strong taste.

My visit was very pleasant. The waiter was friendly, the menu had a good selection and the mango curry with tofu we ordered was very tasty. The Japanese noodles also tasted excellent.

Great food. You get about a small cup of rice on the side. However, you have to pay an extra €3.50 for extra rice! However, you only find out when the bill arrives. Impossible! I've never experienced anything like that before for extra rice and unfortunately it spoiled all the good food for us. Don't come anymore. Otherwise the food would have been 5 stars.

We had been thinking about stopping by this restaurant for a long time and the truth is that it did not disappoint us! Exquisite Asian food, very pleasant service and a very cozy terrace. Without a doubt, a place to repeat!

When I was looking for a Thai restaurant, this place came to my attention. Unfortunately that wasn't right (again), it's a mainly Vietnamese Asian guy. Nevertheless, I stayed there and tried different dishes. And to say it straight away: the food was good! The glass noodle soup could have used a few more noodles and the taste of sesame oil was clearly noticeable. Nothing bad - I enjoyed it. The yakitori skewers tasted good again, but could have been a little hotter. The rainbow roll had a great fish to rice ratio and also tasted very good. For the papaya salad with shrimp, the dressing was a bit unimaginative and mainly consisted of the well-known chicken chili sauce from the bottle. A few additional fresh Asian herbs saved it again. Overall a good performance.

Super good food! We booked a private party here and upon request, in addition to their delicious sushi, they also cooked us other dishes that were not on the menu. It was so tasty. The service was extremely friendly and attentive. The ambience was minimalist, but still elegant and cozy with lots of greenery. In summer you can also sit outside. I can fully recommend this restaurant! ❤️🥰

We absolutely loved the restaurant NA1988 with its Vietnamese cuisine! As a starter we had the 'New Creations Starter Mix' - a wonderfully varied treat consisting of mango salad, baked wontons, Vietnamese and mini spring rolls, satay chicken skewers and summer rolls. Everything perfectly seasoned and incredibly fresh! The main course, 'Bún Bò Nam Bộ', also impressed us with grilled beef, rice noodles, crisp salad, cucumbers, peanuts and Vietnamese herbs, all harmoniously combined with the homemade sauce. A delicious, healthy combination that we can absolutely recommend. The cuisine at NA1988 combines authentic taste with healthy ingredients, and the friendly team ensures an all-round positive experience. We'll definitely be back!

Vor 1 Jahr wirklich super. Hat meiner Meinung nach zwischenzeitlich leider etwas nachgelassen.

Ein Abzug geht für die Preiserhöhung. Innerhalb von einem Jahr wurden die Preise für die Hauptgerichte 2 mal jeweils um 2€ gestiegen. Es ist wesentlich mehr als die Inflationsrate

Sehr schön und vor allem sehr lecker. Mit Abstand, mein Lieblings Asiate. Schmeckt immer und ist immer angenehm und entspannt. Preise sind fair.

Der beste Asiate in München für uns. Von der Pho Suppe übers Pad Thai und das frittierte Sushi! Jedes mal ein Genuss! Wir lieben es dort! Dank der Lage nicht von Touristen überlaufen.

Das Essen war sehr gut und ist auch zeitnah nach der Bestellung gekommen. Aber leider gibt es keine geschlossenen Wasserflaschen, nur Wasser in Glässer, dass finde ich persönlich nicht so prickelnd. Dann doch als abgekochtes Wasser über den Ingwer-Tee. War gut und kann auch getrunken werden, die es nicht so scharf wollen. Jetzt zum Service: Das Mädl hatte uns zwei Tische zur Auswahl angeboten. Als wir den in der Ecke nehmen wollten, hieß es plötzlich, der ist reserviert. Das Mädl war sehr hilfsbereit, aber aktuell, obwohl es noch nicht so voll war, sehr konfus. Wir hatten unsere Vorspeiße und plötzlich erhielt ich ein Ca ri mit Ente, obwohl ich gebratene Nudeln mit Hühnchen (mi tom xao) bestellt hatte. Nachdem ich das reklamiert hatte, wurde der Teller an den nächsten Tisch gebracht. Hallo Gastro, wenn ein Essen bei einem anderen Kunden am Tisch gestanden ist, geht das garnicht, dass es zum nächsten wandert, speziell in der steigenden Covid Zeit die aktuell wieder anläuft. Am Nachbartisch hatte eine Dame einen Vorspeisenteller bestellt. Dieser war allerdings für 2 Personen, stand auch in der Karte. Hatte die Dame voraussichtlich übersehen. War ganz erstaunt, als die riesen Platte geliefert wurde und die Servicekraft sagte zu den beiden, das ist für 2 Personen. Wäre besser gewesen bei der Bestellung an den Gast das zu kommunizieren. Speziell wenn man die Bestellung aufnimmt, da die Portionen sehr gut sind. Aber das Essen sah gut und ansprechend aus und die Dame sage nur, dann storniere ich das Hauptgericht, dass wird zu viel. War kein Problem. Hinter uns war ebenfalls ein Tisch, der auch eine falsche Essenbestellung geliefert bekommen hat. Rechnung: Leider kann man an der Rechnung nicht erkennen, was gegesen wurde es besteht nur aus Artikel und Zahlen und Preise. Mal schauen, was der STB sagt wenn man das Geschäftsessen von der Steuer absetzen möchte! Jetzt Ambiente: Wie man es von einem Asiaten gewohnt ist. Allerdings war unser Tische etwas klebrig. Die Teetasse war auch nicht ganz sauber, aber ließ sich schnell mit der Serviette wegputzen. Etwas mehr Sauberkeit und mehr Einsatz im Service, dann ist der Asialaden eine gute Lokation, speziell da es erst Richtung Grünwald die nächsten top Lokations gibt. Wichtig für den sichern Platz: Immer reservieren, da der Laden immer voll ist und man sonst keinen Platz findet, speziell jetzt zur nassen Jahreszeit, da der Garten nicht die optimale Lösung derzeit wäre :).

Leckeres Essen. Etwas teuer aber Lebensmittel Qualität ist super. Daher Preis Leistung gut. Am besten vorher anrufen und vorbestellen

Food is very fresh and good. Quick service as well.

Zufällig gefunden und direkt mit meinem Pho Bo Test weiter gemacht. Die Suppe kommt in einer gewohnt großen Schale daher, die beiliegenden Kräuter und Saucen in der genau richtigen Menge. Die Suppe typisch würzig, Nudeln leicht zu durch aber noch ok. Fleisch könnte etwas mehr sein war aber auch in Ordnung von der Qualität. Preislich noch akzeptabel mit 14,90. Alles in allem eine sehr solide und leckere Pho Bo die Lust auf den Rest der Karte macht.
