MULLIGAN'S - Irish Pub, Bar und Grill in Nürnberg

Came in for 1, still there after 9 hours. Great staff (14/2), tried some drinks. Strawberry cheesecake is gorgeous shot.

Everything was good, the service surprisingly only spoke English, but somehow it fits the pub. If it wasn't 700 km away, I would come more often. I missed a dartboard.

Atmosphere good but my Hop House 13 beer was not chilled and actually wasn't hop house 13. I mentioned this and was told it's always like this?? Only stopped for 1.

If there was a prize for the unfriendly bar girl in Germany, then the little dark-haired waitress would be way ahead. Sorry I wanted to order some food! The food was presented without comment. Not a word, not a look, no nothing. The kitchen staff seems to be better. If there was no SKY, the store would be a no-go for me

If there's a friendly bartender at the counter he's top notch, if there's a clown you'll ruin your evening... It's luck

Are very economical with kindness. The two girls behind the counter aren't smiling at all. And the word thank you is probably not common either. Too bad. Ambience very nice and cozy

Just a cool shop. We wanted a little something (chips with dip) to go with our drink. But unfortunately we didn't get anything more. They said the kitchen was closed. But then we saw that two more plates came out. We thought it was a shame. Service mainly in English.

Super cozy, super lovely team and very tasty food. Top drinks. We love Guinness.

After sitting at the table for an hour, we were told to please move because a reservation was coming. In my opinion, it's just unfortunate timing, if you communicate this clearly at the beginning or put up a card then it's no problem, but then simply saying after ordering the food "just sit down somewhere" is a bit stupid. The food was delicious and the pub also has a very nice atmosphere, so I will give it a second chance.

Please don't get impatient, you will be served at some point...

Around 11:30 a lot of people were standing in front of a table in the back corner, which was very loud, so the ambience was quite tiring and we could hardly have a conversation

I've been to half a dozen irish pubs across Germany and this one is by far the best.

I visited this bar with my wife. We ordered a Guinness, salad and a veggie burger. The food and the drink were good. A nice place to come and relax after a busy day.

Worst experience I have had at any restaurant in my life, and I have been to 100s of restaurants for my work and on holidays. Ordered Irish stew and it was like a soup. The potato soup was equally as bad. When we asked to replace the meal the waitress said she would get the manager but never did. We had ordered meals for two people but did not eat any of it but they demanded payment.

Place was packed to watch Liverpool vs Man City. Drinks and service were solid. Be sure to arrive at least 45 minutes early for bigger games like this or reserve a seat in advance.

Cool Irish pub in the immediate vicinity of the main train station with a good selection of beer and the opportunity to watch football. I had an a U from the Mahrs brewery in Bamberg that I thought was very good. In addition to Heineken and Guinness, every beer lover should get their taste.

Not great service. Ordered one drink & sat down at the table no problem Went up to the bar to ask for another one was told that it was table service to sit back down No one came back and saw me so we left.

Timmy, Marille, and the rest of the staff are very good at what they do. They are pleasant to converse with and make your drinks the way you want them. Fyi: when Finnegans closes, go to Mulligans till they close, then migrate to Kilians. This order of Irish pubs is recommended for a random adventure

Me and my friends have been to this shop twice so far when we couldn't get a seat in the other pub, I have to say, even back then I found the bartenders and service very unfriendly, but it was ok to drink a few Guinness! Yesterday was the third and last time, the place wasn't completely full, we sat right at the bar and were ignored for three quarters of an hour. When my friend asked the bartender if we would be served, he just yelled at him! As the pub filled up we asked if you were showing the PL game, they then said you were only showing the Bayern game! The whole bar was full of fans who wanted to watch the Premiere League game, after I said "you have 6 monitors there, you can show the PL game on the little one that is at the bar where the other fans are sitting!" I was asked We then went to Finnegans where we found a place that had 5 monitors, 4 of them showed the PL game! Great thing! Never do that again! let's go In this shop, it's not a pub, certainly not a sports bar.

Try the fish and chips, the fish was fried fresh not frozen. Not sure if the service was slow because of the Christmas market, but the wait was well worth it.

The food is great, there's also a Mahr. The drinks aren't cheap, I'm willing to pay the price and give a tip, but the waitresses are incredibly unfriendly, which ruins a pub where you're always chatting. Edit: Even better, my review should now be removed (for the 3rd time now) because it is not possible to determine whether I have ever been a guest there. It's funny that I know there is Mahr beer there without ever having been there... Good thing I still have the bill...

Best pub in Nuremberg, no question

Not just in this city, but likely in the whole country. Honestly, save yourself the airfare to Dublin. Forget Temple Bar. Just fly to Nuremberg for a pint of Guinness and a truly authentic Irish night out. The moment you step inside Mulligans, it’s like walking into a pub that’s been doing its thing for a hundred years. Not forced, not themed – just effortlessly genuine. And the service? Exceptional. Being a proper barman is an art form, and at Mulligans, it’s a masterpiece. A pint of Guinness isn’t just poured here; it’s crafted. It takes time, as it should, and when it arrives, it’s worth every second. Creamy, rich, and exactly as it should be. The food is great too – proper pub grub, hearty and satisfying. You’re not here for molecular gastronomy; you’re here for good, honest dishes that pair perfectly with a second pint. Or a third. Mulligans gets everything right. The atmosphere is warm and buzzing without being chaotic. The crowd is a mix of locals, expats, and travellers who know they’ve stumbled onto something special. It’s not just a pub; it’s an experience. So, don’t bother scouring the rest of Germany for a decent Irish pub. Don’t even bother going to Ireland. Just come to Mulligans. It’s as close to Irish perfection as you’ll find anywhere.

A very nice place!! The staff is kind and attentive, good beers, in a great atmosphere to enjoy a game (Football, NFL, others) or a good conversation with friends.

We were in Nuremberg for one night and ended up in Mulligan's by chance. There is a good selection of beers. In addition to the classics like Guinness and Kilkenny, there are also a few others 'on tap'. There is cider and I noticed a good selection of whiskey and gin on the menu. The atmosphere is very good and the service was super friendly and quick.

Food ain't the best but the staff and ambience are pretty nice !

Worst burger ever. Tasted like recoocked meat after a too long period in the freezer. The music was like in a disco and only during the footballmatch the volume was oké.

Worst experience I’ve single handedly ever had at a pub. I rarely go to pubs but was with my girlfriend and she wanted to show me the place. Our group got a table and ordered drinks while I used the bathroom. I went back to sit down with our group of friends and was approached by a server telling me I had to leave due to me being highly intoxicated and that they would not serve me anything to include food. Keep in mind I hadn’t talked to anyone and had nothing to drink yet. I was extremely confused by this. She then came back and also made it a point to tell me the other reason she was kicking me out was because I was extremely vulgar and rude to her. Again to this point I had yet to say a single word inside this pub. My girlfriend who is German tried to talk to her privately because I didn’t know what to do and she was rude to her also for no reason. I didn’t want to make a scene so decided just to leave. I don’t like making accusations but I had an American Football Jersey on and hat and can only assume I was targeted for being American. I’ve already told friends and family to stay away from Mulligans and definitely will not be going back ever. Great first experience staff! You’re doing fabulous

Food was very disappointing. 😢 I ordered an Irish beef stew with Guinness and got a Gaisburger March in vegetable broth. My partner ordered a burger which was served lukewarm and without onions (as advertised). Service is good, friendly and fast 👍🏻 Absolutely OK for a pint, not recommended for food.

Este fue el primer pub que visitamos antes de un viaje cultural de 8 días por Alemania y no podíamos creer la rudeza del servicio. Pedí un pedido muy sencillo en alemán (3 sidras, 3 cervezas) y el personal del bar respondió con una pregunta en alemán. Me disculpé porque no podía entender y repetí mi pedido en alemán. Luego siguió la misma interacción, momento en el que la chica levantó las manos frustrada y recibió mi orden. Después de recibir las bebidas le pregunté si había hielo para la Sidra y ella dijo en perfecto inglés "¡eso es lo que te estaba pidiendo!". Me hizo sentir tan estúpida y me trató terriblemente. Dejé un sabor amargo así que nos fuimos después de nuestra única ronda. También habló con su colega sobre nosotros durante la interacción que fue grosera e irrespetuosa. Afortunadamente, las otras ciudades que visitamos alrededor de Alemania fueron mucho más amables y no así en absoluto. No recomendaría.

I’d give 100 stars if possible. There’s no better beer, bar, drinks in Nuremberg. Oh did I mention the staff? Yeah they’re most amazing, mind-reading, beautiful and friendliest people you’ll ever meet. Kinda like coming home a bit. Thank you guys, always a pleasure to be there.

We only had one beer. The “typical” Guinness. It was busy (around 9:30 p.m.). Unfortunately the waitress ignored us for a while. But once we placed the order, the beer arrived quite quickly. We sat in the "middle aisle", so people were always walking past to the right and left. That wasn't so nice. But I would recommend it for a quick nightcap.

If you want to eat a good burger near the main station, you've come to the right place. The taste was great and the staff was also very friendly. Why not 5 stars, unfortunately it is a bit noisy because of the street when cars or police drive through. Otherwise clear recommendation.

Bad service, bad drinks, bad atmosphere from the waitress. Despite all the good reviews, there was a catastrophic evening thanks to poor hospitality. And that even though the store would have given everything in terms of furnishings and a great solo entertainer.

Mulligans Irish Pub offers excellent service. I had barely sat down when the friendly server promptly took my order. Unsure of the menu, I requested a vegetarian burger and a cider. She immediately recommended their vegetarian burger and bottled cider. Despite being at the last available table, the atmosphere was calm and smoke-free, perfect for watching football. Card payments are accepted, but note that there's a €10 minimum. With such a great experience, you'll easily spend more than €10 here.

Good pub food and cold beers. You can sit inside and watch sports or outside under umbrellas. Only downside is that outside is full of smokers - not pleasant when you eating ...would be great if there was a dedicated smoking section.

Unfortunately one of the staff was exceptionally rude to us, going as far as mocking our accents and stropping about when we asked for some ice with a bottle of bulmers. The service being rude was a shame given it was the first pub we visited during our trip to Nuremberg Not planning on going back

Sehr gutes Essen, netter Service! Das einzige was zu bemängeln ist: Während der EM Spiele wurde eine Leinwand aufgestellt mit dazu gehöriger Lautsprecherbox. Diese wurde einfach neben unserem Tisch platziert mit einer unfassbaren Lautstärke, dass man sein eigenes Wort nicht verstehen konnte. Als man darauf hingewiesen hat, ob man es nicht etwas leiser machen könne, sagte man uns wir können ja den Tisch wechseln, der sich wo ganz anders befand. Nicht sehr Gastfreundlich.

Absolutely crazy! You make a reservation and then the table is simply given away because the time is supposedly wrong. And then you get insulted in an unfriendly way. It doesn't work at all!

The lady in service definitely didn't feel like working on weekday afternoons. There was hardly anything going on, she seemed very clumsy and unfriendly. Toilets also left a lot to be desired. Small note for the map: feel free to put all the ciders in one category or at least say that it is cider. I've only seen one, but there are actually more.

moderate. Not even beer mats when you sit outside, so there are wasps in the beer. The waitress has apparently given up the smile at the cloakroom. Update: we were there again (beginning of May 24) this time everything was fine. It probably depends on the day and how things are going there.

Visiting a Sunday is def better. Less traffic. The food is great. Good fish&chips. Would have love the fish portion to be slightly bigger, but none the less, very lekker!

There is Mahrs beer. On Bundesliga match days you can watch the games here. Sometimes the staffing level is a bit thin. Overall a solid pub and a good alternative.

A good bar with TVs. The meal was good but the salad was bathed in sauce. It's an Irish bar atmosphere. The TVs are very large and make it easy to follow the matches. The service is fast.

I think the pub is great. It was a pleasant atmosphere - not too empty, not too crowded, and the live music was great. The artist has played or sung many different genres. So there was something for everyone. The employees were all very friendly until the end. And we actually stayed there until closing time in the evening. The drinks were well mixed. The price was also completely reasonable! I would have even expected more. However, I can't comment on the food because we didn't eat anything there. Nevertheless, definitely recommended and we will absolutely come back.

Das Mulligans ist ein tolles Irish Pub. Mein Liebling ist natürlich das Cider dort. Schön gekühlt. Das Essen ist einfach klasse. Empfehlung sind die Wings, die Süßkartoffel-Pommes und der Shepherd’s Pie. Am Wochenende kann man live Musik hören. Die Fußballspiele aber auch Rugby und anderen Sachen an den vielen Monitoren sehen. Gemütlich auch an der Bar was trinken ist möglich. Ein Muss für jeden Pubgänger!!!!

A really recommended pub. The service is quick and friendly, the atmosphere is attractive and clean. The fish and chips here are a real recommendation, I don't know of any better ones in Nuremberg.

All food that was served was OK, the service stuff always friendly. There are nice places to sit in the rear area, however we didn't get one of these. As there are several TVs showing soccer, there is always a strong basic noise which you should like. For me personally, it was too loud.

Irish Pub, large bar and wide choice of beers, menu a little limited for the occasion as three dishes indicated on the menu were not available and therefore a somewhat difficult choice; the place is nice, located in the Old City, the service is friendly and smiling from Viviana, prices are average.
