A rather small restaurant with lovely decor. It felt very comfortable. The service was friendly and welcoming. Unfortunately, all three types of beer were sold out. Then it took an incredibly long time, even though we arrived early and there was only one other occupied table besides ours. We had tickets for Matrix and unfortunately missed the entry time, even though we had planned for an hour and a half. The food was beautifully presented. However, besides the spiciness, it lacked good spices or ingredients to give it flavor, in my opinion. Therefore, I found it rather bland.

It was delicious. The host was very friendly and welcoming. Thank you so much, I'll definitely be back.

We spontaneously decided to have dinner at Mt. Kailash this evening. We received a very friendly welcome and, because it was a weekday, didn't need to reserve a table in advance (though reservations are recommended for weekend dinners). The menu offers a variety of dishes with meat, vegetarian, and vegan options. All dishes are freshly prepared with authentic spices and without MSG or other additives. Naturally, this takes a little longer, but we weren't looking for fast food! The menu was briefly explained to us when our food arrived, and then we were free to enjoy it! And everything was absolutely delicious! Top-notch! Thanks to the owner, who managed everything single-handedly! We will definitely be back to try the other dishes as well.

The restaurant is entirely decorated in wood; the tables and chairs are solid wood, creating a cozy atmosphere. Soft Nepalese music plays in the background, adding to the pleasant ambiance. The friendly, unassuming owner also handled the service and the cooking during our last visit. The menu offers vegetarian and vegan dishes as well as meat options. After receiving expert advice from the owner, we've now sampled everything. I'm certainly no expert on Nepalese cuisine, but everything tasted delicious. They even catered to our requests regarding spice levels. I highly recommend a visit.

Visited for the first time on a recommendation. The menu is small, but extremely extensive and varied. Everything is freshly prepared, which might take a little longer if all eight tables are occupied. We felt welcome, the food was delicious, and we'd be happy to return. It's recommended to reserve a table in advance and just be prepared for a while. Kudos to the chef, who never loses his smile even when the house is full and also manages the entire service, including drinks.

The wait is long for the food. But it's really good, so you have to be prepared! We waited 1.5 hours for the food, even though it wasn't particularly busy. Apparently, the chef was ill, but we were surprised that it took so long for a replacement to arrive.

We visited Mt. Kailash HK for the first time yesterday, on a Friday evening, and were absolutely thrilled! It was impressive to see how a single person can handle the service, prepare the food, and still manage to have a pleasant conversation with the guests. The ambiance immediately captivated us and immersed us in a sense of Nepal. The food was excellent; even though I've never been to Nepal before, it felt authentic to me and was also visually appealing: the chicken tikka masala and the spiced rice pudding (kheer) were my particular highlights. There's an open kitchen and a small preparation area for the spices used in the dishes, all labeled with little labels so you know what you've just eaten ;). We will definitely be back and highly recommend a visit!^^

One of the best restaurants I know (and I have high standards for good food!) The small dining room has very few tables. This makes it super cozy and has a lot of charm. The owner takes care of everything himself and is extremely hospitable. We even learned what different spices are used for in Ayurveda 😊 All the ingredients are fresh and the dishes are simply delicious. We've even picked up food from there. I'm repeating myself, but it's simply amazing 😊

Great restaurant! The food is prepared according to the chef's instructions using only fresh ingredients and no additives. You can taste it; every spoonful is a delight. The service (who is also the chef) is incredibly friendly, and the atmosphere is very cozy. There are also several vegan dishes. Card payments weren't possible when we were there, but Volksbank and Sparkasse banks are very close by.

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Mt. Kailash Himalaya Kitchen and was thoroughly impressed. The menu offers an authentic selection of dishes from the Himalayan region. I opted for a vegetarian dish and was absolutely delighted by the quality and flavor. Each dish was freshly prepared and seasoned with aromatic spices. I would also like to particularly emphasize the attentive and friendly service.

We enjoyed the food very much. And we especially loved the pakora, samosa, and rice.

If you want authentic nepali food in Bochum, this is the place.

We go here often and have tried almost all of the dishes. So far everything has always been very tasty.

We were really looking forward to eating there, but unfortunately we were disappointed in the end. One can argue about tastes, but unfortunately our expectations were not met. We couldn't explain the incredibly long wait, with only two tables occupied. 3.5 hours for 3 small courses is not acceptable. We don't understand why one of the three national beers on offer wasn't available either. According to the host, he hasn't had these in his range for weeks. All in all, unfortunately, it was a bit of a letdown, which we think is a real shame.

Thanks to the gourmet block/voucher book, we discovered a small, lovingly furnished restaurant. As soon as you enter, you are greeted by the tempting scent of spices and fresh cuisine. The reception and service are extremely friendly. The menu is pleasantly clear, so there is something for every taste. The dishes are freshly prepared and taste excellent. This restaurant is a real insider tip and we are already looking forward to our next visit. P.S.: The link to the digital table reservation is still missing on the homepage, I only found it via Google Maps.

After we waited 1.5 hours for our food and other tables who ordered after us got food before us, our mini portions arrived... Unfortunately, we weren't full and the prices were pretty steep, especially for the small quantity and the poor quality... The service was great!

Small restaurant with about 10 tables. Friendly service. Something fresh in the restaurant. Salad with peanut sauce incredibly delicious. Main courses could have been a little hotter. Level of spiciness medium was rather mild. Many vegetarian and vegan dishes. Dessert (pannacotta) was rather mediocre. Unfortunately some dishes/drinks were not available. Note - after the meal - that EC card payment is not possible. BEFORE the meal would have been better.

My daughter and I went to Langendreer for dinner in the early afternoon, which was quite unusual today... and were both positively amazed!!!! The restaurant is relatively small, about 40 seats, but open and visible Cooking area⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️…. the service was absolutely nice and open... The dishes were fabulous…. I was able to dose the extra hot chilies myself, which was also good🌶️🫶😂😅 Great Mango Lassis, delicious sauces... And the rice pudding at the end is a poem!!!! We will come back more often😋😋😋

As soon as it opened, I wanted to try this small but fine restaurant. I finally did it together with a friend! We weren't disappointed, the portions were just right and the food tasted very good. I can only recommend the restaurant and cannot understand the negative comments in any way! I cannot confirm the criticisms that it takes a long time and there is no waitress. I also called specifically because of the comments to order the food. The owner tells me that it is not necessary. It wasn't necessary either. The portion size was also right. 👍

We were there today with the voucher book and were curious about the Napalese cuisine, which was unknown to us... What first struck us was the very spatan and puny atmosphere. The welcome was nice and polite. But then they announced that almost every dish on the already very manageable menu was not available today. “Only chicken today,” it said! All right, chicken! I describe what was then delivered like this: Good thing the McDonalds in the home port was still open!!! I have never seen so few and carelessly thrown away dishes in the last few decades! Including a disgustingly long hair in my wife's food! Either it was the voucher or you just can't do it better! Please close!

I was with my family in the small, cozy, smelling restaurant. I found it on Google after entering the following into the search bar: the best restaurants in Bochum! And wow the title has mt. Kailash really deserves it: the owner and the staff are super friendly and even explain how to best enjoy the food, the dishes we ordered were incredibly delicious!! The prices are just right!!! Unfortunately we had to wait 1.5 hours for food. No naan bread and the food was far from spicy. Put a few chilies next to the dish, it's a bit lean. Everyone has to know for themselves that €17.50 for a dish that doesn't fill you up.

First of all, on the positive side, the staff is friendly, the food is very tasty and beautifully presented and unusual, unusual dishes. Negative, the portion sizes. There were four of us there and we weren't nearly full, so we stopped at the chip shop on the way back. A little more rice or side dishes really need to be on the plate. Unfortunately, naan bread was no longer there that evening. The ambience is okay, not outstanding, but neat and cozy.

Cozy atmosphere. Food is good but nothing spectacular. Portions are small for a main course at a price of €17.50 (Himalayan Thali). Spring rolls seemed to be frozen goods, which is inappropriate given the price of €5.40 for six rolls. Staff was friendly. However, parts of our order were forgotten. Neither an apology nor compensation was offered for this. Maybe I'll try it a second time, everyone has a bad day sometimes.

I haven't been so positively surprised in a long time! The restaurant looks rather inconspicuous from the outside, but we will have positive memories of the visit for a long time. We luckily came across this cute store through the app TheFork. The food is super fresh and delicious. It is a family shop that is extremely clean. We will be back definitely! Even the little ones are thought of: according to my daughter, she ate the most delicious nuggets, fries and Nutella pancakes with ice cream there. 😅 We enjoyed every dish extremely well.

Very nice little restaurant in the "center" of Langendreer. The restaurant is quite small but very nicely decorated. Furnishings are apparently made of hardwood, so you can hardly move the tables and chairs 😂. The operator is a chef, bartender and service person all in one, supported by a female person. Since the restaurant was not very busy at the time we were there, we were served very quickly and the drinks were brought to us. Before ordering the food, the chef presented the selected dishes in detail, including the spices. There was also a reference to the Nepalese national dish. Unfortunately there was no lamb that day. The dishes (fried chicken, 2 x chicken tika masala and the national dish) were freshly made and all the dishes were served together quite quickly. The dishes were nicely prepared, well seasoned and well portioned. The desserts (caramelized pineapple and kheer - Nepalese rice pudding) were also explained in detail and were very tasty. During our stay they were very concerned about our well-being without seeming intrusive. We felt very comfortable in the restaurant and will definitely eat there again soon and recommend it to others

I was there with my husband on a Saturday (with a table reservation!!!). The service was super nice, the food was extremely delicious. Spices and other ingredients are also explained upon request. My husband had ordered his dish a little spicier (this was offered when ordering), and his comment was that the remaining ingredients could only be tasted before the spiciness set in. But this was over quickly (his opinion). It was just a beautiful evening!

Last night I had the pleasure of visiting Mt.Kailash with a friend and all I can say is that it was an absolutely fantastic experience! The starter was already a highlight - the peanut salad was simply heavenly and full of flavor. The main course was also excellent and was freshly prepared in front of us. You could really taste the freshness and quality of the ingredients. Another plus point were the owners of the restaurant. They were incredibly nice and accommodating, which made the evening even more enjoyable. Overall, a wonderful evening with delicious food and warm hospitality, I can only warmly recommend this restaurant and am already looking forward to my next visit!

I am really happy that I discovered this beautiful restaurant by chance. In terms of taste, the cuisine stands out clearly from what I have previously found in the region. Great food, a wonderful host (the chef/owner is a great, friendly and courteous person who also takes time for his guests and creates a very pleasant atmosphere). The feeling of being in Nepal for a moment occurs to everyone who has already visited the country. We are now regular guests and meet here regularly with our Nepal travel group.

We came across this inconspicuous restaurant through a voucher book. We could already tell from the reviews that you should take your time. But that's not a problem for us on Saturday evenings. To be on the safe side, we made reservations by phone. It actually took 20 minutes for us to place our orders since the chef and server are the same person. At the same time, disillusionment came: today no fish, no lamb, no Nepalese beer and no non-alcoholic beer. So 3 out of 4 people had to quickly reschedule. But the drinks came very quickly. The food came 30 minutes later, which is completely ok. The food was delicious, the portions were manageable. The store was now well filled and nothing happened for 1.5 hours. Then the table was cleared and we asked if we could have anything else. Drinks came again quickly and dessert about 20 minutes later. We had a lovely evening and I admire the peace and quiet you get when you run a place entirely on your own.

I was a guest here with my family, consisting of ten people from three generations, and everyone was extremely happy. The restaurant is attractive, well furnished and comfortably small, but not oppressive. The dishes are special compositions and taste fantastically aromatic. The menu is very varied and, contrary to the online menus, you can discover a total of four vegan dishes on site. There are also several vegetarian and four children's dishes. Junior didn't like the fries "as good as anywhere else" - they really had a particularly natural, great aroma. The friendly owner and chef served us with noticeable dedication and was also happy to take some time to talk to us about the philosophy of the kitchen. He was also sensitive to the desire for “European” sharpness conditions. We will be back definitely. Thank you! 🙏

Wir waren zu zweit und saßen 30 Minuten in einem mäßig gefüllten Laden, OHNE dass wir eine Bestellung aufgeben konnten oder dass der Besitzer uns mal beachtet hätte. Der Grund: Hier turnte nur eine Person, war also gleichzeitig Service und Koch und mit einer Außer-Haus-Bestellung sichtlich überfordert. Gastronomische Vorbereitung und Organisation sind nur rudimentär vorhanden zu sein. Zum Essen können wir nichts schreiben, außer dass dringendst mal die Abluftgeräte entweder gewartet oder eingeschaltet werden müssten. Der Geruch von Friteuse und Gebratenem war schon sehr störend. Wir haben das Restaurant dann verlassen.

Das Essen war sehr lecker, gut gewürzt und frisch, wir wurden freundlich empfangen und gut beraten und freuen uns schon auf den nächsten Besuch.

Vorzügliches Curry und mega nette Gastgeber. Falls ich mich mal wieder nach Bochum verirren werde ich definitiv wieder kommen.

Ist Erleuchtung käuflich? Ja. Wir waren zwischen Weihnachten und Neujahr im MT. KAILASH Himalaya KITCHEN essen. Wenn man reinkommt fallen sofort die Räucherstäbchenaromen auf, die schon mal die Schleimhäute "primen". Nach einem nepalesischen Gewürztee ging es dann mit der Vorspeise weiter: Ich hatte einen nepalesischen Erdnusssalat. Der war der Hammer! Saftig und knusprig und wie die hohen Berge war die Salatspitze in Wolken gehüllt. Spektakulär! Als Hauptspeise hatte ich dann ein "Himalaya Thaji Nomal". Das ist mariniertes Hühnchen mit dreierlei Saucen. Das war auch sehr lecker. Meine Frau hatte ein Tofu-Chutney und war auch sehr angetan. Einen Nachtisch haben wir leider nicht mehr geschafft. Es hat uns gut gefallen. Ein sehr freundlicher Koch + Inhaber + Kellner.

Update: auch 1 Jahr später noch super. Waren wieder mit Gutscheinbuch dort. Immer wieder gerne! Eine Mischung aus Indisch und Chinesisch mit teilweise anderen Gewürzen. Interessante Küche, nette Räume. Man muss paar Minuten Zeit mitbringen, es wird alles frisch gekocht.

Wir waren schon öfter hier und immer zufrieden. Das Essen ist lecker und wird frisch zubereitet Heute fühlten wir uns allerdings gar nicht wohl. Es war nur Person vor Ort, diese war dann Kellner, Koch und Bedienung in einem und das auf ei em Samstag. Um die Preise stabil zu halten wurden die Portionen verkleinert. Es war lecker aber kaum Fleisch vorhanden. Wir sind diesen Abend tatsächlich mit allen 5 Personen noch hungrig nach Hause.

Es hat uns sehr gut geschmeckt und man sieht mit wieviel Hingabe und Einsatz die Gerichte gekocht und angerichtet werden. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder.

Wir haben bei unserem Besuch in Bochum dieses ungewöhnliche Restaurant entdeckt. Alle Speisen wurden frisch zubereitet. Da der Inhaber auf vorgefertigte und tiefgekühlte Zutaten verzichtet, kann es vorkommen, dass Speisen nicht mehr verfügbar sind. Außerdem sollte man etwas Zeit mitbringen - die frische Zubereitung braucht halt so lange, wie sie braucht! Außerdem ist der Inhaber sowohl einzige Sevicekraft als auch Koch. Aber der Gast wir belohnt mit einem außergewöhnlich leckerem, perfekt abgestimmten Essen. Wir waren zu fünft, hatten jeder ein anderes Gericht und jeder fand es lecker. Da wir zuvor noch keine Erfahrungen mit nepalesischer Küche hatten, waren wir neugierig, was uns wohl erwartet. Am ehesten ähnelt die Küche der bekannteren indischen Küche. Aber die Erdnuss-sauce war viel fruchtiger als dort. Zu empfehlen ist auch besonders das nepalesischer Nationalgericht mit Linsen und dreierlei Saucen oder der gebratene Reis. Wirklich alles sehr lecker und auf den Punkt gegart. Sehr schön auch, dass man durch die offene Küche bei der Zubereitung der Speisen zuschauen kann! Wir kommen sicher wieder, wenn wir das nächste Mal in der Nähe sind!

Sensationell. Total sympathischer Inhaber und das Essen eine perfekte kulinarische Reise durch Asien. Köstlich. Achtung: Suchtgefahr :D

Reservierung über Google klappte nur so mäßig aber das Essen war der Hammer. Alles nur natürliche Zutaten, keine Zusatzstoffe und alles super lecker. Leider fehlte das Naan Brot zum Essen, war aber auch nicht so dass Problem. Portionen waren für alle ausreichend

Super lecker, alles frisch gekocht in offener Küche!!! Sehr netter Eigentümer, der selbst kocht und gerne Auskunft gibt. Der nepalesische Gewürztee ist eine Geschmacksexplosion! 100 % Weiterempfehlung. Wir kommen wieder!!

Das Restaurant ist klein und mit offener Küche, sodass die ersten Aromen der relativ unbekannten Küche gleich präsent sind. Es gibt die Möglichkeit, bei gutem Wetter draußen zu essen; mit einer größeren Gruppe/Familie sollte man sich vorher anmelden. Der Besitzer ist häufig allein im Restaurant und so ist bzgl. Service und Zubereitung etwas Geduld gefragt. Diese lohnt sich dann aber! Jedes Gericht wird individuell zubereitet, die Gewürzmischungen sind exotisch und empfehlenswert, dazu sieht jeder Teller fantastisch aus. Ich habe schätzungsweise 6-7 Gerichte und 3 verschiedene Nachtisch-Varianten probiert, die alle ausgezeichnet geschmeckt haben.
