Really a great shop. I've been there a few times now and it's always worth a visit. The atmosphere in the store and the food are simply great. There is also a great selection on the menu for vegetarians/vegans.

A modern concept of Turkish place at its best

The food was super delicious! I had an Iskender. The price is reasonable and the service is also very nice.

It took a while for the order to become a finished meal, but then it tasted good. Unfortunately, the second drink order was also forgotten, but you can still recommend this restaurant with a clear conscience. Everything is tidy, the ambience is harmonious and the location is good.

This was our second time visiting Mr. Kebap in Hamburg and we were thrilled again. The food was delicious and the service was very friendly. We will definitely stop by again on our next HH visit 😀

It was my first time in Hamburg. I searched google for the best döner in Hamburg and found this place to have good rating. However, it was really expensive and döners were not up to our expectations, the meat doesn't seem to be fresh and we were really disappointed. Though the service was really good, and the beer too.

Is a self-service snack restaurant, hence 3 stars. Staff friendly and helpful. I didn't like the food at all, the coleslaw was very oily, the meat smelled and tasted so strongly of lamb that I had to leave it on the plate. I ate kebab meat at my friend's house, very fatty. For a self-service kebab plate and poor food quality, I found €16 to be excessive.

Just flavorless, and very rude service

We have been here several times and just love it. The ambience is great. Not far from the Rindermarkt within walking distance. The meat is simply amazing. Very special for me - very soft. Really delicious. When the weather is good you can sit outside.

Yesterday we were at Mr. Kebab, the gentleman with the white hair Service is very, very unsympathetic and it's been that way for years. We've been regular customers. From now on we'll avoid the store. The 5 stars are because the actual boss with the long hair is very very very nice and common, thanks for the years, that's it from now on despite All the best to you ❤️❤️❤️

Waited almost 20 mins for a kebab. It looked like the main manager was in and all the staff were waiting on every beck and call. He sat there knowing he was slowing down service. Sat there like a Cheshire cat Awful. Not a real kebab shop Kebab was only OK

We checked the menu online on June 6th, 2022 and decided on 2 gr. Doner plate (12.50) and zucchini pancakes (9.00) decided to be picked up (see attached screenshots from the same day). Then the surprise when paying on site: 16.50 and 10.50 (see attached receipt. When asked, the answer was evasive ("yes, we probably have to change it") - no sorry, no nothing! Apart from the blatant price increase of €4.00 (32 percent!!), the yogurt sauce was also missing from the zucchini fritters (16 percent more expensive than advertised online). There are enough alternatives in the ski jump that don't make you feel misled.

It is not meat, the doner is chicken. When i ask about it, they told “they were cutting the chicken like meat” 😂😂😂 Their durum had finished, so they changed the order without asking. Couldnt finish the meal because chicken had fats on it. When paying for the food. I take the money and creditcard. Asked if I would pay with card. Anawer is no we prefer cash. They take the money, no receipt. So they are not going to pay tax. 😳 Dont be fooled with good yelp reviews.

For the best kebab in the city, it's average. You get thr same better through German franchises in the UK. I was expecting extra special but it was just a normal tasty doner. Note that it was tasty, just not world changing tasty as described by some.

Good kebab roll, albeit a little with meat. Good and affordable beer. Nice staff and no problems with payment. Lovely atmosphere.

I thought I ordered a plate of kebab but it came with sauce and I don’t really know what the dish is. I am not a fan of any tomato based sauce/soup dishes so aside from that this dish is o weakly very yummy! Overall great meat, it was a lot of taste in the meat!!! No wonder they say when a kebab is good, it doesn’t need any sauce!!

Doner kebabs are not tasty, were cold, the bread was hard, I'm really disappointed. I don't know why Google searches recommend this place to me. It's the worst kebab I've ever eaten in Germany.

2024.06.26: been here couple of times and even though I had really good döner dürüms, the falafel is the reason of only 4 stars. The dürüms were always fine, decent portion and good taste, well put together, but the falafel was basically without any sauce, very dry. The service is nice though and during the Euro they're screening the matches too.

The man who makes the durum is an idiot, the durum pancake is raw and full of flour, green flies where the ingredients that accompany the kebab are, white brand Coca-Cola and 3.5e, I don't recommend it!!! There are so many better things in Hamburg.

The Haloumni was not so good, pretty dry. I wanted a Dürüm originally but they did not have it anymore.

Excellent fresh and tasty food. Good value and decent portion sizes. Nice atmosphere in restaurant and extremely friendly staff - a little off the beaten track but is situated in an area of the city which has a younger, trendy vibe 👍🏾

We stopped there yesterday on the way from the Schanze towards the Kiez because it was so nice to sit outside. We ordered a bottle of wine and baklava. I love baklava and have rarely eaten such good baklava. Plus the service was great! We'll definitely come back and eat our way through the rest of the offering. 😉

Cold and small, price too high for the product offered

Simply the best kebab of my life. Welcoming and professional owners.

Mr Kebab was recommended, so we went and had a taste. The meze looked appetising (wait for it) and the mixed grill dish was splendid. Sauces tasted nice and fresh. Staff was very friendly but also chaotic. Meze never arrived, hence the "looked appetising" plus they forgot the dish of the youngest in the group. It didn't cone until after everyone had finished plus it was the wrong dish. Also they mixed up one drink. In their defence, they were bit understaffed and with a few new members. They were super cool about it and we weren't charged fully. It just wasn't their day. It happens, they solved it well! I wouldn't mind eating here again and see if they can reach 5 stars with staff then properly worked in.

We had 2x kebab plates (we recommend hummus and Ezme, both very tasty). Price and quality were right. We were also served friendly. Ambience suits the area. We'll meet Again ;-)

I really liked the restaurant. Very good authentic food that makes you want to come back again. There's also draft beer.

Update March 2024: The team is extremely friendly and special requests are happy to be fulfilled. The waiting time for the food is shortened with delicious little things. The dishes are very tasty, the lemon/lime lemonade is amazing. Always happy... [2-3 visits per year, almost on every trip to Hamburg]

Great kebab place whit cosy atmosphere! Vegetables were fresh, Belgian beers on the menu and super friendly staff 😊

an original restaurant with a simple interior. we ordered döner plate, hamburger, vegetarian hamburger and a bulgur salad. varying ratings from all of us. However, the amount of food cannot compensate for the fact that it was relatively ordinary flavors. The service was good but unfortunately it seems that they have a problem with their drain, as the room smelled less good...

Super leckere Gerichte und super nettes Personal..... Wir kamen aus Süddeutschland, um uns Hamburg anzuschauen und fanden diesen tollen Kebab-Laden. Es war wirklich sehr schön hier und wir kommen wieder. Mr.Kebab ist dann wieder ein Besuch wert.

Three hungry Australians on a rainy day went to Mr Kebab and ate their weight in delicious food. I think it may have been the best dönner I ever had. We had dönner teller, falafel teller, and moussaka. The salads that came with each dish were fresh and tasty, the meat was perfectly cooked (and not oversalted) and we were given free baklava. The vibe is great, cosy, high ceilings but low light. The staff were really friendly and we had a great time. Amazing bar across the road called Toast, so Mr Kebab is the perfect place to start a fun night. Definitely go.

Ich war heute das erste Mal bei mir kebab, das Essen hat mir sehr gut geschmeckt, das Personal war ebenso sehr freundlich, insgesamt hatte ich vom Restaurant einen sehr guten Eindruck, kann ich nur weiterempfehlen.

Ich komme immer gerne hier her um lecker zu essen. Der Service ist immer gut und sehr zuvorkommend kann es sehr empfehlen

Der Laden sieht gemütlich aus. Der Service war super. Leider hat mir das Essen nicht geschmeckt. Der Dürüm fiel sofort auseinander. Das Fleisch war nicht besonders lecker. Etwas zu viel Sauce, sodass man das Brot gar nicht in den Händen halten konnte. Ich werde leider nicht wieder kommen.

Auf jeden Fall eine von den besten Kebab Buden die ich jemals probiert habe (1. Rüyam Berlin und 2. Tonbul FFM). Ein muss in Hamburg

Ich liebe den Laden auf den ersten Blick! Netter Inhaber am Tresen. Coole Cocktailbar. Nice Kneipentische. Angenehme Atmosphäre und kompetente Bedienung. Essen war sehr lecker. Hab das "Dönerfleisch Überbacken" gewählt. Es gab etwas Brot und Aufstrich als Vorspeise. Beim Hauptgericht haben mich die echten schwarzen Oliven mit Stein überzeugt. Cay war auch sehr lecker. Preislich angemessene 16 Euro. Würde auf jeden Fall gerne wieder hingehen.

Das Essen (Döner) war okay aber wurde auf Blogern deutlich besser bewertet. Ich bin mit der Erwartung rein das ich den besten Döner der Stadt bekomme. Aber das war eine Enttäuschung. Die Qualität des Döner war gut aber ihm fehlte Charakter und Herz. Dazu kamen deutliche teuer Preise im Vergleich zu anderen Läden dieser Art. Besonders Punkten konnte es nur mit dem Service die nett freundlich und zu vorkommend ist. Ich werde definitiv nicht nochmal dort essen. Schade hier hätte deutlich mehr drinne sein können.

Preis Leistung Verhältnis stimmt überhaupt nicht überein. Lage und Ambiente ist gut, Service freundlich aber vertauscht Bestellung. Falafel Teller für 12,90 € bekommt man woanders deutlich geschmackvoller, kreativer und frischer serviert. 5,50 € für eine Portion Pommes von der Größe einer Müslischale sind ein Witz. Mein erster und letzter Besuch. Keine Ahnung wie dieser Laden seine positiven Bewertungen bekommt.

Haben hier 2 Dürüm Döner gegessen. War ok, aber nicht der beste. Die Bedienung war auch eher nur so ok. Nicht besonders freundlich, aber auch nicht unfreundlich. Die Preise sind (wahrscheinlich mittlerweile mehr oder weniger "normal") allerdings ordentlich gesalzen. Für die zwei Dürüm Döner haben wir 17€ hingelegt. Die Preise waren leider nicht ausgeschildert. (Man hätte auch fragen können). Immerhin kann man mit Karte zahlen. Noch mal müssen wir hier nicht essen.

I was here with my toddler it was quite nice , great portions and great food . I had the zucchini pancake and a döner teller and a drink , it came to around 19 euros. Although I don’t really eat kebabs anymore because I think they are extremely overpriced nowadays, I was more open to doing it because it seemed more of a family run restaurant vibe :)
