Mo's Bistro & Späti in Leipzig

Customer requests were ignored; the shawarma was very dry. The grilled meat was also unseasoned and unsalted, and the salads weren't fresh. Therefore, my rating: ⭐️

Since the restaurant was taken over by a new owner, the cozy atmosphere has disappeared. We used to meet here before every home game, have lunch, go to the match, and afterwards gather here for a beer or a shandy to discuss the events in the stadium. That's no longer possible with the new owners. A certain coldness has crept in with the new management. And I don't just mean that the kitchen is cold. For me, it's become a restaurant frequented by the Leipzig ultras. They also meet there after the game and stand around in such a way that you hardly dare to get past them to enter the restaurant. We were there on December 6th for an event, and the only dish on offer was potato soup with a Bockwurst sausage. The potato soup tasted like it came from a packet. There wasn't even a whole Bockwurst in it, maybe half a sausage at most. When I asked for a Bockwurst, I was told that they only served Bockwurst with potato soup; selling a Bockwurst on its own would mess up their calculations. Guys, be a little flexible. So, RB!! I have a request for you. Please take another look at this; it's not like it was with the old operator.

I have to say the food is very good and the prices are reasonable. I'll be happy to come back.

I'm absolutely delighted with the good prices and the delicious food; the man who works there is very nice.

My son and I were visiting Leipzig from Frankfurt and found this little gem. The service was great and so was the food. If I come back to Leipzig, I will look to eat here again.
