Morgenland in Hamburg

😡😡Heute war ich wieder in Ihrem Restaurant. Das war bereits das dritte Mal, dass ich von Ihrem Kellner, der die Bestellungen aufnimmt, äußerst unhöflich und respektlos behandelt wurde. Schon bei meinem ersten Besuch kam ich um 11:55 Uhr. Wegen gerade einmal fünf Minuten wurde ich von diesem Kellner aus dem Restaurant geschickt. Dabei hat er in einem beleidigenden und herablassenden Ton mit mir gesprochen, obwohl ich lediglich Platz genommen hatte. Ein solches Verhalten gegenüber Gästen ist völlig inakzeptabel. Ich habe dieses respektlose Verhalten jetzt schon dreimal erlebt. Sollte Ihr Kellner mich noch einmal so behandeln, werde ich ohne weitere Vorwarnung eine offizielle Beschwerde gegen ihn und Ihr Restaurant einreichen. Außerdem werde ich meine Erfahrungen öffentlich teilen. Ich erwarte, dass Sie sich um dieses Problem kümmern und dafür sorgen, dass Ihre Gäste mit Respekt behandelt werden.

Jedes Restaurant hat mal einen schlechten Tag. Ich nehme an, heute war einer davon, da mir Freunde gesagt haben, dass sie dieses Restaurant mögen. Wir waren mit einer großen Gruppe dort, speziell weil sie vegane und nicht-vegane Gerichte anbieten. Drei von uns (mich eingeschlossen) bestellten vegane Gerichte. Der Kellner hatte Verständnis; ich weiß das, weil er mir die verschiedenen Optionen erklärt hat. Das Essen wurde von einem anderen Kellner gebracht. Alle drei veganen Gerichte waren mit Käse überbacken. Zwei von uns schickten sie zurück (der Dritte bot den Käse den anderen am Tisch an). Zu meiner Überraschung war dieser Kellner überrascht, dass wir danach fragten. Zwei Minuten später kamen unsere „neuen“ Teller zurück. Erfahrungsgemäß bezweifelte ich, dass diese frisch zubereitet waren, wollte ihnen aber noch eine Chance geben. Ich nahm einen Bissen und sah, dass sie den sichtbaren Käse entfernt, den unsichtbaren aber darauf gelassen hatten. Wir schickten die Teller erneut zurück und ich bestand höflich darauf, dass wir frisch zubereitetes Essen wollten. Wenige Augenblicke später kamen unsere Teller. Ich möchte das Falafel loben, das wirklich gut war, aber alles andere war mittelmäßig und für ca. 20 € pro Teller den Preis nicht wert. Die hausgemachte Limonade war gut. Vielleicht sind ihre Fleischgerichte besser, aber das ist für eine Gruppe Veganer, die für Essen bezahlen, das man am Bahnhof zum halben Preis bekommt, irrelevant. Es wurde kaum etwas gesagt und nichts unternommen, um dieses Fiasko wiedergutzumachen. Ich bin kurz darauf gegangen, aber die anderen blieben zum Nachtisch. Leider kam der Nachtisch nie, aber nach 30-40 Minuten wurde ein weiterer Teller Falafel serviert (den niemand bestellt hatte). Ich glaube, es war ein schlechter Abend für sie. Ich werde jedenfalls nicht wiederkommen und das Restaurant auch nicht anderen Veganern empfehlen. Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis ist einfach zu schlecht.

Ein zauberhafter Ort mit lieben Menschen und unglaublich leckerem Essen! Schade bleibt, dass es nach 21h so gar nichts mehr zur Verkostung gibt. So wie spanische Nachos, fehlen mir persönlich kleine orientalische Snacks zum Drink nach Küchenschluss. Bei so selten herrlichem Sommerwetter fehlt die Möglichkeit umso mehr. Leider ist es für unsere Familie kein Treffpunkt, da die jungen Leute selbst lange arbeiten. Wir kommen dennoch gerne wieder!

Wir haben uns rundum wohlgefühlt: schönes Ambiente, superfreundliche Bedienung und leckeres Essen.

Spontan sind wir durch die Straßen gestriffen und wurden von den ansprechenden Tellern und dem leckeren Geruch hinein gelockt. Wir wurden sehr nett begrüßt und bedient und haben einfach super lecker gegessen! Immer wieder gerne!

Ich hatte hier ein wunderbares Esserlebnis! Der Service war exzellent und die Atmosphäre wirklich angenehm und ruhig. 😌 Das Essen war wunderschön angerichtet und schmeckte genauso gut, wie es aussah. 🥗 Ich fand es auch toll, dass es nicht zu laut war, sodass ich mich gut mit meinen Begleitern unterhalten konnte. 🗣️ Die 30-40 € waren es definitiv wert. 👍

Innerhalb von einem Jahr die Preise um bis zu 50% zu erhöhen (Kumpir waren 10 Euro und jetzt um die 15!) dafür habe ich keine Worte, jedenfalls keine netten! Werde sicher nicht mehr dorthin gehen.

Reisgericht mit Hähnchenfleisch und Falafelteller. Der Reis war geschmacksneutral und nicht ganz gar. Musste ordentlich nachwürzen. Die Sosse eher Fett&Joghurt mit Salz, grad noch ok. Das Fleisch war auch ok. Datteln stand extra bei dem Gericht, das war dann ein bis zwei getrocknete und zerschnittene Datteln über den Reis geworfen, da hätte ich erwartet , dass die in Butter mit Gewürzen angeröstet sind.Falafel in Ordnung. Service ganz nett aber etwas unaufmerksam. Das Essen war nach nicht mal 10Minuten da, wirklich seltsam, dass es so schnell fertig war. Dafür preislich zu hoch. Das war wohl das erste und letzte Mal. Schade, weil ich etwas anderes erwartet hatte.

Sehr lecker und super liebes Personal

Sehr leckere Mezze! Man kann von allem probieren, benötigt aber mehr als ein Brot dazu! Die Dips eignen sich auch gut zum Hauptgang :)

Sehr leckeres Essen; im Infusionsstil zubereitet. Ich bestellte die Mezze-Vorspeise und ließ das Personal die vier Gerichte auswählen. Es war einfach himmlisch. Als Hauptgericht wählte ich Pide und einen Kebab-Teller. Die hausgemachte Limonade war sehr lecker und erfrischend. Obwohl das Restaurant etwas teurer ist, lohnt sich ein Besuch auf jeden Fall, wenn man ein köstliches Essen und freundlichen Service sucht.

Wenn man authentisches Essen haben möchte, das ohne Schnickschnack auskommt, der ist hier genau richtig. Preis Leistung ist Top und die Portion war auch super. Die Mitarbeiter waren sehr nett. Wir kommen wieder!

Wir haben uns hier sehr willkommen gefühlt und, dass Tee schon bereit steht, ist einfach aufmerksam und herzlich. Dazu war das Schnitzel auf der Knoblauchcreme einfach richtig lecker. Danke, wir kommen wieder. Im offenen Wintergarten war es ebenfalls einfach richtig schön zum Sitzen.

Mittags gibt es ein eingeschränktes Speisenangebot. Das Essen war lecker und der Service freundlich. Dort war ich nicht das letzte Mal.

Ich bin so begeistert! Habe gerade eine Mama Ghanoush zum Mitnehmen bestellt. Und jeder einzelne Biss ist so ein Genuss. Es ist soooo unfassbar lecker!😮😍 Außerdem habe ich während ich gewartet habe, einen kleinen Apfeltee bekommen, der total lecker war, saß “draußen” und es alles sieht total schön und gemütlich aus. Eine 110% Empfehlung!

Ich würde dieses Restaurant wirklich gerne mögen, aber der Geschmack des bestellten Kumpir war einfach enttäuschend. Wir bekamen trotz fehlender Reservierung an einem Samstag sofort einen Platz, was sehr angenehm war. Der Kellner war sehr aufmerksam und beantwortete alle meine Fragen. Wir bestellten zwei Kumpir und hatten Sonderwünsche, die problemlos erfüllt wurden. Das Essen sah beim Servieren auch wirklich gut aus, schmeckte aber leider fad. Ich weiß nicht, ob wir die falschen Zutaten hatten oder ob mein Geschmackssinn einfach nicht mitspielte, aber der Geruch war fantastisch (10/10), der Geschmack hingegen nur mittelmäßig (5/10). Ich werde es auf jeden Fall noch einmal mit einem anderen Gericht versuchen, aber das Kumpir kann ich nur empfehlen, wenn man ein absoluter Kartoffelfan ist!

Das Essen war vor 3 Jahren besser. Heute das erste mal wieder im Morgenland gewesen und eher leider enttäuscht gewesen. Beim Essen fehlten Gewürze, der Geschmack war dadurch eher ziemlich neutral und es hat mich nicht überzeugen können. Das Personal war wie immer sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend und das Ambiente ist schon gut, aber durch den neuen Anbau war es mir eher zu stickig, da nicht wirklich frische Luft reinkam. Der Preis letztendlich hat mich richtig umgehauen- 60€ für 4 Mezze, 2 Salate, 1 Brause und Ayran war zu hoch. Für das Geld hätte das Essen richtig super sein müssen( Gewürze) Also… es war mal leckerer und günstiger.

Ich war am Abend dort - wie es zur Mittagszeit ist weiß ich nicht. Ein netter Empfang, die Einrichtung eine gute Mischung aus rustikal und gemütlich. Im hinteren Bereich ist es schon mal zu warm, aber man sitzt bequem. Die Karte ist interessant gestaltet, für jeden etwas dabei. Ich habe mich für die Marshala Rübe entschieden. Alles mit roter Bete zubereitet. Witzig anzusehen und lecker im Geschmack. Wirklich gelungen, genauso wie die Vorspeisen. Wir haben uns für die vegane Variante entschieden. Etwas teurer aber lohnt sich - versprochen. Bei den Getränken würde ich mir eine zuckerfreie Limo wünschen und eine kleine Tasse Minztee war wirklich klein... Ich werde zur Mittagszeit noch einmal kommen und freue mich darauf.

Wer wirklich,lecker Essen gehen möchte. Sollte diesen,laden auf jeden Fall einmal besuchen.Kenne kein Restaurant momentan der annähernd in der Liga ist wie die es sind. Einen Riesen Lob an die Nette Dame.Sowie den Chef, Die Ambiente und das Essen die Vorspeisen Wow.Der Mann Spielt in der Champions League mit seinem Konzept Ich schreibe so gut wie nie Bewertungen. Aber das Solltejeden Hamburger eine Pflicht sein. Der dort einmal gegessen hat. Die Preise für das Essen so wie der Service Einfach unschlagbar. Wünsche euch alles gute. Das Essen ist einfach nur köstlich. Selten habe ich so gut gegessen. Die Speisen sind frisch, man kann, wenn man möchte, zusehen, wie das Essen zubereitet wird, denn die Küche ist frei einsehbar. Das Restaurant ist wirklich liebevoll und gemütlich eingerichtet. Ich war zum 2.Mal hier und war auch dieses Mal begeistert! Ich werde wiederkommen. Ich kann dieses Restaurant ohne Einschränkung weiterempfehlen.

Haben für nen fairen Preis gut gegessen, die Mahlzeit war erstaunlich schnell da. Freundlich und gut! Ich wundere mich über die Buchauswahl auf den dekorativen Bücherregalen. Dort steht eine Autobiographie vom NS Kriegsverbrecher Albert Speer, das empfinde ich als irritierend und nicht dekorativ.

Mit Morgenland (Orientalisch) nicht viel zu tun..... bis 16 Uhr nur kleine Karte? Jeder Döner Laden ist besser :)

Etwas enttäuschend, aber insgesamt in Ordnung. Das Positive zuerst: nettes Ambiente, schneller und freundlicher Service. Leider ist man hier aber auch ein wenig unflexibel. Da es an unserem Platz kalt und zugig war, baten wir um einen anderen Tisch in einer geschützter wirkenden Ecke. Der gesamte Bereich des Restaurants war und blieb bis auf einen weiteren Tisch völlig leer. Dennoch durften wir nur an einen zweier Tisch an der Wand ausweichen, an der wir ohnehin saßen. Natürlich war es da genau so kalt. Ich hatte Mezze bestellt. Eins davon war eine Masse aus Datteln und Nüssen, die so süß war wie ein Dessert. Diese hatte ich bis auf den Probierhappen unangerührt gelassen. Als ich das anmerkte, meinte man, ich hätte auch auswählen oder tauschen können. Das ging aber wohl zu dem Zeitpunkt nicht mehr? Die Info wäre vorher hilfreich, eventuell als Vermerk in der Karte. Ansonsten war das Essen in Ordnung. Aber bei so wenig Gästen ist definitiv Luft nach oben. Ich denke nicht, dass ich das wiederholen werde.

Super tolles Essen und nette Kellnerinnen :) nur die Bänke waren ein bisschen wacklig so wie der Tisch und so wären fast die Getränke umgefallen :/ sonst aber super lecker !

Wir waren schön öfter im Morgenland und fanden es immer sehr schön, aber unser letzter Besuch Anfang Januar 2026 hat uns vom Essen sehr enttäuscht, da stimmte gar nichts. Vielleicht hat in der Küche das Personal gewechselt? Der Service war unverändert sehr gut, was das Essen leider nicht besser macht.

Very tasty and reasonably priced, but you shouldn't sit in the growing area in winter, it's drafty and uncomfortably cold there.

I was here two times before, this time I could easily recognize the quality of the food and service have been decreased. We ordered one Pide with eggplant and one beef kebab with potato purée. The Pide quality was okay but the kebab was really in a bad quality, so fatty and was drowned in too much, thin sauce. I would recommend the Pide. I ordered ginger tea and it was served with not boiled water it was just warm water that tasted really bad. I would say it can be part of serving problems, cause making a cup of tea is not a professional work to do. I hope they will work on their quality again but I won’t choose this restaurant again.

The food was fantastic, the restaurant was rather small and a bit cramped, but all manageable. The food alone makes it worth at least one visit!

As so often happens, we stumbled upon Morgenland by chance. A fantastic experience: fresh food, excellent spices, delicious and creative combinations of dishes, generous portions, and excellent value for money. Very friendly service, an open kitchen with friendly chefs! We'll be back!

A must-try! Absolutely authentic oriental food. Not just tasty, but truly delicious! There are plenty of vegetarian options, and dishes can be customized upon request.

A very cozy restaurant with extremely attentive service. The dishes are exceptional, delicious, and very reasonably priced. I had no idea that you could make a kebab better by frying it, and I was pleasantly surprised.

I had a falafel plate. It was really delicious. The service was very friendly. The food arrived in a flash, which was convenient, since I was in a hurry anyway. The room was very small, but cozy.

Discovered by chance. Small but perfectly formed. A lovely place with good food. The staff is very attentive and the service attentive and friendly. The fusion of German and Levantine ingredients is very good. This courage should be rewarded. The delicious food is worth a visit. The value for money is also good. Even though it's a bit out of the way, we come back here every time we visit Hamburg. It's simply worth it!

Unfortunately, we couldn't get in!! They didn't open until 5:00 PM, arrived at 7:00 PM, and were asked if we had a reservation! No, we didn't! Plenty of free tables The waitress refused us entry, saying, "We're closing early today and will not be admitting any more guests from now on!!!!!" Why did they ask if we had a reservation?

Super delicious lunch - everything else is always a highlight for the palate. With the furnishings and the weather, it felt like you were on vacation in the south.

The food was truly fantastic, and it took us a long time to decide from the vast selection. The atmosphere was very cozy, and together with the super friendly staff, it was a truly wonderful evening for us. I would gladly return and can highly recommend this restaurant.

The two of us were there for the first time. We found the ambiance fun, colorful, and modern. The staff was friendly. However, we found the bandage on one of the employees' fingers a bit dirty and unappetizing. They offer nice fingerlings to cover. We opted for a marinated chicken breast fillet, as marinated meat is usually tender, and it was one of the few unbreaded cuts of meat on the menu. The meat was completely dry, the couscous was nothing special, and the sauce was acceptable, although not enough due to the dryness of the meat. We asked for something else instead of dates, but were given jarred olives, which at least tasted like that, and a bit of feta cheese, which tasted like feta cheese. The food tasted reheated to us, like it had come from a microwave. Perhaps that's why the meat was dry. The small side salad cost an extra €3.90. Not good value for money, poor quality, and a manageable portion. Apparently, the menu had been changed. A review 3 months ago showed a slightly different menu. It's a shame some dishes are no longer available. We know Aperol Spritz better. We were looking forward to trying out a new place, but as the saying goes, once and never again. What a shame. After some nice feedback, I'm upping the rating from one star to two.

Simply fantastic! The four of us dined at Morgenland in the evening and were all absolutely thrilled. Our culinary highlight was the mezze – various house dips served with warm bread. I've also never eaten such unique and delicious pide! All the other dishes were also delicious and perfectly paired. The restaurant is beautifully decorated in an oriental style and exudes a very special, warm atmosphere. The food is a true experience not only in terms of taste but also in terms of appearance – and all at truly fair prices. We absolutely recommend it – we'll definitely be back!

Very delicious food. The appetizers are simply amazing, and the staff is very friendly, personable, and accommodating. Vegan dishes are also no problem! :) However, the staff doesn't seem to know much about them, so you always have to be very specific about what you don't want. I think there's room for improvement here.

Nice atmosphere, friendly staff and nice food

Great selection of vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes. We were impressed by both the main course and the dessert. All the dishes that we could see at our table and the neighboring tables were lovingly prepared, mostly colorful and all the guests looked happy! The restaurant is equipped with beautiful furniture and a loving decoration. You can sit under cover on the terrace and it is also very comfortable. The staff was attentive and very friendly. EY THIS MORNING LAND WAS VERY GOOD. I was here with a German and saw the restaurant looked VERY pretty (the waitress too hehe) and thought she was from Ecuador. The names of food were also SUPER funny, me and my potato friend laughed hehe. This Turkish pizza is very nice and tasty. KEEP UP FRIENDS 👍🏻

We used to go there very often and enjoyed sitting there together and drinking beer or eating together after work. Today, however, we were turned away from the store quite rudely, with the statement that they didn't want to welcome us there for just one or two drinks because all the tables were reserved, even though the store was completely empty at the time. I'm sure we could have easily managed these two drinks before the "big rush". We'll definitely prefer to drink and eat somewhere else in the future, especially since the prices have gone up

Very great restaurant. A real culinary delight is hidden here, somewhat inconspicuously. The dishes are very flavorful and a good size. An ideal restaurant to spontaneously meet up with friends for dinner. The service was a bit shy and quiet but otherwise very friendly. We'll definitely be back.

We were here about six months ago, but we remembered it so well that we told friends about it. Now we are here in Hamburg again, we wanted to eat here again. Well, unfortunately the Morgenland was closed today, but no matter, we'll have to wait. Repealed is not postponed… Our dishes (Kumpir) were excellent and to our taste, the service was super nice (despite the hut being full). We'll be back soon 😉

Oriental cuisine reinvented. Very elegant and unusual combinations that are not only pretty but also delicious. Everything seems more elegant and sophisticated. And so the restaurant fills up quickly in the evening and many people have reservations during the week. The service is quick and attentive. The atmosphere is cozy, chilled and elegant.

I can fully recommend the mezze, but none of our overpriced main courses were tasty. Too salty, too fatty. Each of us had stomach pains at night. In addition, the waiters were very forgetful (wrong orders brought, orders forgotten, drinks we didn't order on our bill). There were six of us and we ended up paying around €300 for a pretty bad restaurant. The estimate of €10-20 per person is also completely wrong.

We were here on Friday and were lucky with our reservation. In any case, it makes sense to reserve in advance. The girls were really very friendly at first. The menu offers a good selection of unusual oriental cuisine. Between classics and really crazy combinations, everything is on offer. Unfortunately, our waitress wasn't on her toes. Our drinks arrived long after the appetizer and after 3 other tables, whose guests arrived after us, had already had their drinks. One friend had the Baba Bowl, a friend and I first shared the small mezze, he then the Fitna chicken and I shared the Salam Azizam. Marinated chicken in a sweet mint-lime sauce, dates and warm couscous. Very, very tasty. For my personal taste, a little less meat and a vegetable side dish would be even more perfect, but the combination of different flavors in all the dishes is outstanding!

I've been a customer at Morgenland for a long time and love the friendly atmosphere. Recently it has been rebuilt and expanded again and again and everything has become very beautiful. The menu is varied, but I don't think the price-performance ratio is as good as it used to be. Even though I understand that everything has become more expensive, I think that the mint tea for 3.50 has become ridiculously small. A vegetarian bowl will cost you almost 20 euros. Starters are still recommended.

The idea of ​​home cooking is awesome! But charging 22 euros for simple köfte with rice even though you can get a grilled plate for 24 is a rip-off!

All very good! Service was very friendly and helpful. In winter they have an area in front of the door that is shielded by glass, so it is definitely bearable with a warm sweater even at 0°C. You're welcome to go back.

Friendly staff. Fast ordering and delivery of food + drinks. My Tavouk fricassee tasted good. You can sit on the ground floor or in the basement of the restaurant. However, on this Saturday evening the air was quite stuffy there. The stairs are a bit steep and narrow. However, you shouldn't hope that someone will come and pay. You pay at the counter before leaving.

Delicious Turkish specialties, fresh, innovative, made from the best ingredients. The ambience is quiet, oriental-modern. Good food and very nice service, but not cheap either.

First visit for dinner for two at 6:30 p.m. Luckily I called ahead and made a reservation. The shop is comfortably furnished, the staff is really very attentive and absolutely friendly and accommodating. The food was really fantastic. Had a pide and a bowl, first an appetizer. I can only emphasize again that we really enjoyed it and it definitely won't be our last visit. Prices are more than okay.

First visit for dinner, Parking on site but until 6 p.m. €3 per hour. Outdoor area with seating area, ideal in good weather. Two seating areas inside - one by the window on the ground floor and the other in the basement... cozy but narrow and the air gets stale over the evening. Service was super nice, food and drinks were prepared very quickly and at the table. The concept is that many different ingredients are prepared and bread is baked on site. We had Kumpir and Bowl with different toppings. The large potato was sufficient and tasty. The “Mama” bowl is very spicy with cauliflower, pickled onions and eggplant. Everything was sufficient in terms of quantity but very compact and filling. The sheep's cheese was barely noticeable with just a few small cubes. There was clearly not enough delicious sauce, so the freshness was a little lacking. The taste was good, but if I went again I would choose the mezze with the bread or another bowl - it looked delicious. The menu seems to be new, some of the things I had previously found online were no longer there... but the selection was still very good. Dessert was baklava (1 piece, €4.90) and oriental yogurt with fruit (€5.90) ​​- in my opinion, the price/performance ratio isn't quite right, a second piece of baklava would have been more appropriate. Overall, highly recommended. I would probably reserve a table on the ground floor for my next visit and adjust the arrangement myself. Therefore another star “air” in the rating

Food was so-so. Some good, some super disgusting. What was much worse, the service was super unfriendly. Unfortunately it ruins the great atmosphere.

The restaurant is very comfortably furnished. The staff was very nice and gave advice about the spiciness, even though they didn't ask, which I found to be very attentive. The homemade lemonades/iced tea are particularly recommended.

We were there after work and sat outside. The service was very nice and quick. The bowls were really tasty and filling. Contrary to what is stated here, card payment is possible! We'll be back!
