L'Orient Restaurant Hamburg Winterhude in Hamburg

We ate here yesterday with four people, including two children, and it was fantastic! Great service, friendly to children, and everything was delicious! Keep up the good work :-)

We had lunch at this branch today. The restaurant is relatively small, but it's near Kampnagel, and it was busy. There were plenty of seats outside for warm days. The staff was very friendly. The rhubarb spritzer was beautifully served. It didn't feel like I was drinking a spritzer. Today's lunch menu was boring. We didn't like the daily specials either. I had the falafel with salad and hummus. I think five falafel with salad and a bit of sesame sauce for €14.50 is a bit too expensive. The nakanek, lamb sausages, were also boring. A mocha was served to finish. It was nice and tasty. Overall, the restaurant could be improved. It could be a bit more. Neither of us was full.

This is my first time here and I'm really surprised. It's exactly what I was looking for. Quiet, comfortable and cozy. The service and food are simply top-notch. Ein tolles Restaurant mit sehr ausgewählten Speisen, deren Geschmack man mit nach Hause nimmt. Sehr besonders und sehr lecker. Die Bedienung war hervorragend, freundlich zugewandt und offen. Excitement arises when expectations are exceeded... B = E + x. And here the “x” was really big 😀 Our expectations were more than just a little exceeded. The food was really great. The matzah was much more sophisticated than we have ever experienced at other Lebanese restaurants. The main courses were very tasty and well presented. The service was very nice - although it was very demanding due to the number of guests. The prices are very fair for the quality offered.

Came across the restaurant through a recommendation. Very tasty food, starter and main course. Very, very nice and attentive staff.

There were two of us there and we ate from the lunch menu. We had 4 bowls with various small starters and great thin flatbread. Then the starter, lamb and chicken with salad and rice. For dessert there was cinnamon ice cream, 1 small piece of cake with strawberry sauce and a small mocha with cardamom. Everything was great 😋 Price-performance ratio was perfect and the staff was very nice.

Unfortunately we were unlucky with the main course. The rack of lamb was way too cooked, the fish was over-seasoned and the mashed potatoes were too salty. The chef simply had a bad day, otherwise recommended. For the price of over €60 pp with a small starter and 2 glasses of wine, that simply shouldn't happen. The dessert was free - thanks for that!

It was wonderful. Three people, three different dishes and all so well seasoned and presented. The service was extremely friendly and attentive. A dessert came from the house as a treat after the delicious meal. The homemade ice cream with grits and cakes was also wonderful. We had reserved. Definitely we will come back.

True taste experience! L'Orient has a variety of authentic, special, incredibly delicious dishes that you have usually never tasted before. My recommendation: “Mazza” - a selection of small, delicious starters - an oriental delight in perfection! The service staff are very attentive, courteous, friendly and do everything possible to ensure that many dishes are also vegan! I can only recommend this restaurant, value for money is a 10/10. Gladly again!

Everything of high quality from starters to dessert. We have gone there several times and will return. The mazza composed of ten well-presented and delicious tastings is worth trying. We especially like the hummus which is really delicious. The lamb and duck breast are also very good. Welcoming and professional staff. Very recommended

I've tasted all their specialties which are vegan and I have to say that everything is good, but hummus is amazing! My partner ate the meat and also said it was very good. Very friendly and helpful waiter. At the end they offered us some sweets.

Full marks, especially in the Jarrestraße area! Food super tasty. Service very attentive and quick. For this purpose, flexible variations of the menu were offered. The ambience is nice, simply because the tables are not placed super close to each other. AND I personally find that very positive: you can pay by card!!! Not like the primarily Asian shops on the same street that ONLY take cash.

We decided to celebrate our civil wedding at L'Orient in a small group. And what can you say? Everything was perfect. The food was very good. The matzah variations in particular are easy to put in and are sooo good. Without exception, our group was enthusiastic about the food. The service is super good, friendly, charming and accommodating. All wishes were fulfilled. We'd love to come back. :-)

Wow what a lovely evening, very good service, always attentive and friendly, everything was well described. We had the Lórient menu, which is very varied to get to know the cuisine. Hello to all the hungry out there and a warm hello to the L'Orient team at Jarresstr. in Hamburg Winterhude. We were there for dinner with 7 people. Several tables were put together for us in the outdoor area covered with umbrellas and set very invitingly. The evening opened with a very special cocktail from the house, with or without alcohol of your choice. In addition to our other drinks, there were also two types of water spread out on the table throughout the evening. I have tried all of the non-alcoholic cocktails and they are fantastically delicious. The ones with coconut juice are at the top for me in terms of taste, smile. What I personally thought was really great was that there were no unnecessary ice cubes in the cocktails, so you got much more of the taste experience and no diluted water broth. Thumbs up for the cocktails. Let's get to eating. I should mention that I am from the Palatinate and what a Palatinate resident doesn't know, he doesn't eat. So I ventured into this with caution at first, lol. After ordering, everyone was given something like a kind of crepe batter, only without flavor, to dip in oil and a spice. But just trying it all out was enough for me. After that it got exciting, lots of little bowls with different small portions were distributed all over the table. The first thing everyone pulled out was their cell phone to take a photo. The bowls were very different and were plentiful and deliciously served. Everyone was not only thrilled by the variety, but also by the taste, how what was prepared, with which spices, and in what combination. To me it looked like painting, lots of small, lovingly arranged colorful pots of paint. A taste experience that everyone raved about. Very attractively presented. As a main course, I initially preferred the duck, although the house recommended eating cinnamon rice with it. I'm telling you, I've never eaten anything so delicious. I also ordered additional vegetables and, being from the Palatinate, of course also the potato chips. What would a Palatinate be without potatoes... smile. I have to honestly admit, without sounding like a judgement, but I was very surprised at how damn well seasoned, crispy and crunchy these potato chips were made from real potatoes, not fried mashed potatoes. Absolutely perfect and delicious!!! You can't even get something like that here in the Palatinate. So as far as the food is concerned, everything was prepared very lovingly and the taste of the evening was definitely a surprising and inspiring experience for everyone. For dessert there was a house creation for everyone, which was both visually appealing and very tasty. Personally, I found the portion just a bit too small, so you could get a little more out of it for the money. The overall impression: If you reserve in advance for such a large group, there is the possibility of being able to use the on-site parking spaces. You should ask here, because finding a parking space in Hamburg is like playing the lottery, smile. To the L'Orient team from Jarresstr. in Hamburg, which gets a lot of praise from me. Each meal was very well explained, what it was and how it was made before it came to the table. Very helpful, especially if you are a Palatinate resident and are skeptical and don't know everything. Then, thumbs up, there was always someone standing at the door throughout the evening, at a discreet distance from the table, who was immediately available to help with any requests. Unfortunately, such all-round perfect service is far too rare for us Germans in the catering industry. Hats off... ... and thumbs up for the really great and tastefully eventful evening, through which we were literally guided. I can 100 percent recommend L'Orient in Hamburg Winterhude. The portions could be a bit larger for some dishes, but the price-performance ratio with such service was: TOP! Thank you.

Lasse & I recently had dinner with friends at L’Orient Winterhude. We liked it so much that we went there again with the whole family and treated ourselves to the modern Lebanese cuisine. We were skeptical the first time because we had already been to another L'Orient. We actually didn't like the service, ambience or food. Because everything here was convincing. From location, food to service, we really had nothing to complain about. The service was without exception friendly, attentive, understanding, fond of children, but not intrusive. The falafel and duck were so delicious here, even though we've already tasted one or two elsewhere. In general everything was so lovingly prepared

We ate there with a large group for a friend's wedding. The service (especially Murat) looked after us very attentively and friendly, so that nothing was missing. The kitchen did a great job of getting almost all the dishes ready on the same side so that we could start together - not a given given the size of the group! I had the rack of lamb and my husband had the duck breast. Both were delicious, but if you're very hungry you definitely need to eat a starter, main course and side dish as well as a dessert in order to actually feel full. We will be back!

L'osteria is always worth a visit, at least in terms of the consistent quality of the food. The background noise, which may be part of the concept, is a bit disturbing: Welcome! Delicious food at fair prices, eat up (alternatively we'll pack up the leftovers), but please don't suck on your drink for too long (loud music prevents any serious conversation), but flirt - but not with us! Overall everything is OK. and recommended! Thanks to the service, very professional!

Excellent food. The Mezza with 8 dishes is ample for 2 as a starter, you just need a main after that and you’re done. Flavours are lovely and meat- and fish dishes well thought out and presented. You even get a little dessert on the house!

Service and ambience TOP. Very friendly and accommodating. The mezze were good, the warm bread with zataar was great. The main course of corn-fed poularde read very well, but was only ok: really very little meat and even less “filling”. The dessert on the house was a great gesture and the cinnamon ice cream was especially delicious!
