Moraba in Hamburg

We had breakfast here and it wasn't super tasty, but the lady in service was also just great. Super nice & attentive & the calm she radiated was fantastic. This is how you want to go out to eat. Absolute recommendation!!

Most outstanding food experience so far in Hamburg and and absolute mad price-Quality-ratio on the lunch menu, and it's super affordable to begin with. Everything from food to cocktails was Insanely good. The place seemed so good we had to do more then tip, we left a 5/5 ⭐ Google review here each... Looking forward to all next times!

Unfortunately a bit disappointing We (the two of us) moved to a quieter place that was previously occupied by two people. The waiter came to us 30 minutes later and pointed out to us rather rudely that we would have to move if a group of four came and that they always do it like that on the weekend. For some reason our order still couldn't be taken. After we ordered we were then moved, no help, nothing just another rude comment. The homemade tarts were hard and dry, the tea that arrived 30 minutes after the pastries looked like it had been thrown together... we pointed out after 20 minutes that the tea still had to come and the waiter was again snotty with the motto: "why are you stressing" Unfortunately not recommended...

A very nice atmosphere and the food is simply heavenly. This was my second time there and all the breakfasts were impressive. The waiters are very nice and accommodating. We had a birthday child with us and upon request we received small cakes with a birthday candle, which was a highlight today. I can only recommend it!

Unfortunately, the service was very inflexible, you couldn't reorder immediately after ordering with the argument that the scrambled eggs were being processed. In the end, after the change request, we had to wait another 35 minutes for the eggs! Furthermore, the coffee I ordered still hadn't arrived after 40 minutes, despite three reminders. It's a shame, customer friendliness looks different.

Super delicious, lovingly prepared little cuisine and sensationally matching hot chocolate. Just a lot of attention to detail, so tasty and good! Plus, sitting comfortably and chilling at the lounge table, simply enjoyable relaxation. We'd love to come back.

Came across the restaurant by chance as a vacationer. Unfortunately the interior was very dark, but we were allowed to eat on the terrace if we wished. The employee was all alone and did his best, served in a courteous and friendly manner. The food was fantastic - very well prepared and tasty. We were just wondering why we were the only guests...Unfortunately there was one big negative point: the toilets, someone probably didn't clean them for a long time...

Delicious, everything freshly prepared (no convenience food) and breakfast is available all day long. Nice service and special requests are gladly fulfilled as far as possible. Ambience is ideal for us - Schanzenviertel. No place for pepper bags 😁

We have never been served so badly. The food was ok. However, the egg with tomatoes is a disaster. The waitress doesn't know what the restaurant has to offer and is overwhelmed in every way.

Very nice restaurant with all-day breakfast, pasta and also more unusual dishes. There is also a delicious patisserie with croissant varieties, small tarts and very good hot drinks. You can dine outside on beer garden benches, and inside you can also eat at tables with a rustic charm. Not handicapped accessible due to the landing at the entrance but possible outside in good weather. We would have breakfast here again the next time we visit Hamburg.

Dishes are arranged with a lot of love and the quality is great. The service staff is very patient and does a good job. The atmosphere is relaxed and fun. It's nice to sit inside and outside as it's a quiet side street. We will be back.

Veggieburger war ölig matschig und fiel auseinander (Pattie) und war seltsam gewürzt und ungleichmäßig. Und an einer Stelle war sehr viel weißer Pfeffer drin. Pommes waren ebenfalls etwas fettig ..

Veggieburger was inedible, pattie was totally soggy and fell apart. Even worse was the seasoning: someone added a lot of white (!) pepper here. Fries were a bit oily

Went for lunch, service was a bit slow even though we came just before 12. Cheeseburger it's great, 5 star, but the vegan burger's patty doesn't hold and is a bit lacking in taste, thus the bump down. Fries are very good and crunchy. Tldr: would recommend for cheeseburger, not for vegetarian burger

Quaint shop with its own charm. Great food with good taste and vegan cuisine. All this at a reasonable price-performance ratio. Worth a visit if you're hungry and strolling through the streets of the Schanzenviertel 🤩✌🏻

This place is one of my faves in Hamburg. The Schanzenviertel is great. Food always has been very delicious and well priced. Service was really off this time, but we’ve been coming here already for almost 20 years and we will be back for sure

Nice little unassuming bar with a very friendly and super fast service. Highly recommended for a small snack such as fries, mini potatoes and a cocktail or beer. Without registering, just go, whether outside or inside, sit down and order.

Unfortunately it was all nothing :/ The waitress seemed visibly bored and annoyed and gave the feeling that she didn't like being there and serving us. Unfortunately, requests for drinks were taken in a very unfriendly, almost cheeky manner. Also, unfortunately there must have been something wrong, I had a stomach ache all day after visiting the café (otherwise I never have any problems). It's a shame, otherwise the café and breakfast were actually very appealing. The other service person apologized to other guests for her colleague's behavior... so unfortunately it wasn't just us who noticed it negatively...

Everything is of outstanding quality🤩 The juices are freshly made, scrambled eggs from fresh eggs, excellent bread, French tarts and croissants…😋 Schanzenviertel charm at its best, unfortunately, like everywhere in the catering industry, the shop suffers from a lack of staff - so time to slow down🙏

Both on the menu and even on the board in front of the restaurant it was advertised that there were vegan dishes, but this ultimately wasn't the case. This was known to the employee and, based on her reaction, also to the boss, which is why it is incomprehensible that it was still declared this way. You could have simply wiped it off on the board and the map, which is generally rather confusing and careless, is just printed out or partly handwritten pieces of paper in transparent sleeves, which means you could even redo it yourself without much effort . The menu even included meat dishes in the vegetarian/vegan category. It's not a problem at all if such an offer doesn't exist, but knowingly advertising it and then not having it is very disappointing for vegans or allergy sufferers who always have to look for something anyway. Apart from that, the food was okay and the location was nice.

Unfortunately we had to wait a long time for our food and the service was chaotic.

Came across this gem of a café by chance with my family. The dishes are very nicely presented and taste as good as they look. Well composed to stimulate all the senses. Rounded off by very friendly and courteous service. Definitely highly recommended 😉

A very cute café/restaurant in the basement. Quite inconspicuous from the outside. I became aware of it because I saw one of the wonderful tarts through the window. They don't just look good. The coffee is also impressive. A very cozy and friendly atmosphere.

We spontaneously had breakfast there during a stay in Hamburg. Great! We were more or less the only guests and were served by a very friendly, attentive and quick young man. He recommended the large Moraba breakfast, which we then ordered. The madness!!! So many great things! We reveled! Thank you!!! There is a star deduction for the latte macchiato. The espresso wasn't really tasty.

Anyone who has allergies should be careful. My girlfriend has a very bad peanut allergy. We specifically asked if there were any nuts in the little tarts. Answer was no. Turns out there were hidden peanuts in the chocolate cake... To your answer: Just because the employee is new doesn't excuse the fact that my friend would have ended up in the hospital if she had eaten the cake.. then you need to train your employees better...

I didn't think it was that great, but I was there for lunch and not breakfast. It took an extremely long time to even get the card, even though I was the only customer in the store. The food came quickly, but the burger was very dry. The fries were underseasoned and not enough sauce - salt and pepper on the tables would be a good idea. Overall, somehow charming, but showing its age.

Menu very confusing, vegetarian/vegan food is not vegetarian/vegan, we got real chicken to eat. Never again!

Brunch here was fantastic - I got the poached eggs with avocado and the spreads and Serrano ham were amazing. The Hamburger breakfast also looked great. Very cosy atmosphere.

Small, cute restaurant on Susannenstrasse. The menu is exceptional, if you want to try something new, you're in good hands at Moraba. We had the pancake with eggplant puree and the saffron chicken pasta dish with a small side salad. Had a free choice of tables at the window on a Saturday lunchtime.

Saturday night. No restaurant wanted us. But then we discovered the Moraba. Love at first sight. And later, after friendly service, also on the first bite. Keep it up.

Das Essen im Moraba ist wirklich spitzenmäßig. Das Salatdressing super lecker und auch die Fischgerichte kann ich nur empfehlen. Wir waren mit unserer Familie nach einem Konzert dort und wir kommen ganz bestimmt wieder ! Es ist nicht nur lecker, sondern auch sehr gemütlich, die Atmosphäre ist zum wohlfühlen- alle Servicekräfte sind freundlich und aufmerksam. Die Moraba ist für mich ein echter Geheimtipp!

Insider gem ;) Great selection, location, staff and atmosphere at easy to enjoy prices. Drinks range from coffee (and delicious cakes) to sophisticated and relaxed evening drinks (wine, cocktails, juices, coffees, beer...). Fresh food, ranging from delicious vegan to yummy meaty dishes, from breakfast to dinner!

Lange nicht mehr so guten zubereiteten Lachs gegessen, saftig und im Mund fast zerschossen. Es gab Drillinge mit Dip und Pimentos dazu alles sehr schmackhaft und und legger angerichtet der Salat war auch ein Schmaus aber leider zu viel für mich. Wenn wir wieder in Hamburg sind, kommen wir gerne zurück. Habt Dank für die schönen Stunden!

OFFENBAR war Pauline nicht im Moraba. Ich kann diese Bewertung überhaupt nicht bestätigen. Vom Ambiente, über den Service bis hin zum Essen gibt es null auszusetzen. Alles war top, Preis und Leistung super. Weiter so, wir kommen gerne wieder!
