The food is quite okay; we've had much better, but also much worse. The presentation of the dishes is nice, but portion sizes are difficult to determine from the menu. Prices are increased but acceptable; we probably won't be back. €63 for two people.

The best Asian food in all of Grömitz and the surrounding area! The restaurant is also very nice and cozy. The service is friendly. We'll be happy to come back on our next vacation.

Unfortunately, the service needs improvement: one waitress often seems overwhelmed and reacts unfriendly, which somewhat mars the otherwise perfect experience. With more calm and friendly service, this restaurant would be unbeatable.

They serve delicious vegan duck here. The restaurant is small and beautifully decorated with lots of bamboo plants. You can sit inside or outside under umbrellas. We'll definitely go back.

No reservation was necessary for lunch. Conveniently located in the pedestrian zone. Free parking is available behind the restaurant. Unbeatable prices for the lunch specials. Large portions. Fast and friendly service. Card and cash payments accepted. Everyone is happy—what more could you want?

We've been coming here for years. The sushi is the best in all of East Holstein, and everything else is always delicious. Unfortunately, the service is noticeably lacking. The waitress is overwhelmed, and the wait for food can sometimes be as long as 1.5 hours.

Anyone visiting Grömitz should definitely eat here. It doesn't really matter which dish you order from the menu. Everything is truly delicious and the quality is top-notch. I'm already planning on coming back for my next visit to Grömitz. Important... make a reservation in advance, as experience has shown that the restaurant is always very busy. 👍🏻

Very good selection of food and delicious Asian cuisine! The tofu summer rolls as an appetizer were delicious. Vegan and vegetarian dishes are well-advertised, and there's a good selection. Unfortunately, there's no vegan sushi. The homemade lemonades are delicious, and the food is also delicious!

Highly recommended restaurant. The quality of the fish is very good. Both the sushi and the Asian rice dishes are excellent. The unique selling point is the various exotic "homemade lemonades." Children are also welcome, and the staff is considerate of situations that can arise with children.

MOONRICE is an institution for me whenever I'm on the Baltic Sea. The lunch menu from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on weekdays is especially unbeatable—fresh, delicious sushi at a very reasonable price. The staff are always friendly and accommodating.

Our personal favorite restaurant. We've eaten there several times. We also like to celebrate birthdays there. The sushi is excellent, but also the soups and other dishes... amazing, we've loved everything so far. The dishes are beautifully presented in the restaurant. We also like to use the online ordering service when we're short on time. It's very simple: select dishes on the website, register, specify a pickup time, pick up the food, and pay there or online. It works brilliantly. We highly recommend Moonrice in Grömitz! Update June 2025 Due to a change in management, the service here is unfortunately no longer as good. Too few staff, waiting times are too long. But the food is still very good.

We went there spontaneously and were lucky that a table had just been returned from our reservation. So, making a reservation is a good idea. The dessert was simply amazing. I haven't had such a delicious taste experience in a long time! Even my husband, who prefers what he knows, was impressed and immediately said, "We'll be back!"

Service: Ranging from enigmatic to friendly. The first server interrupted us three times in the middle of our order, then disappeared completely and never returned. The second server was friendly and competent. After several requests, I finally had to go to the counter for the bill. Food: The food arrived after just 10 minutes. The fried salmon was standard, the teriyaki sauce was bland and probably a convenience store item. The vegetables were drowned in soy sauce and also bland. The chicken popcorn was more breadcrumbed than chicken, and the chili mayo dip tasted like mayo without a hint of chili. We ate there two years ago and really enjoyed it. Unfortunately, today's team and the quality of the food didn't impress us.

I ordered sushi without cucumber and it had mango in it instead. I politely asked why there was mango in my sushi even though it wasn't on the menu. I was just told I was out of luck and should pull it out. Imagine if I had a mango allergy. And what kind of service is that? I'm never coming here again. The salmon was old and tasteless, and I paid so much for it.

I had the pleasure of eating at this Vietnamese restaurant and really loved it. I ordered a pho with tofu – incredibly delicious! The broth was aromatic, the tofu cooked perfectly and the fresh ingredients made the dish a real taste experience. I tried a refreshing drink with lemon, mint and coconut - an unusual combination, but wonderfully balanced and very pleasant. The ambience is modern and stylish without appearing uncomfortable. The service was quick, friendly and attentive. A highly recommended place for anyone who wants to enjoy authentic flavors in a contemporary setting!

A very great evening spent here. Delicious food at great prices. The vegan duck was super authentic and easy to recommend. The service was pleasantly friendly and kept an overview of everything despite the high volume.

Luckily we reserved a table at Moonrice today. Otherwise we wouldn't have had a chance of getting a table. And that speaks for itself. Despite the fact that there was no free table, the very nice waitress was with us quickly and brought us cards and shortly afterwards the drinks. The food also came quickly, but was well prepared, fresh and super tasty. No matter whether soup, vegetarian or meat. Very tasty. Can really only be recommended. Keep it up!

Unfortunately there were communication difficulties with the lady who served us. She brought us fake sushi and insisted we not get a new real one. I hope next time the lovely lady will be there again, who was able to serve us with perfect German and was very accommodating 🥰 it certainly wouldn't have happened with her 🙏🏽 so for the fact that we left €70 and there were three dishes that were wrong, it's a shame that nothing was done to help.

We were there for the first time and were thrilled. Delicious food and homemade drinks. (The popcorn chicken was DELICIOUS) The prices are really quite normal, which I hadn't thought of for a place like Grömitz. No wonder it was full. We look forward to next time.

Since we had a craving for sushi, we ordered there. This was easy to do via the homepage. When it comes to paying, you also have the choice of paying on site. We have tried many different sushi restaurants and are really impressed with this one. The rolls are freshly prepared for collection and are really tasty. The staff is super friendly. COMPLIMENT... ... so I had just moved here to Grömitz from Berlin and of course had good sushi there (also a bit spoiled in terms of price due to the many companies there) I was now looking for a good sushi shop. I discovered it while exploring the neighborhood, and my boss recommended it promptly, so I tried it out. Yes, the price is rather higher (but here on the Baltic Sea there is a euro or two on everything and the restaurateurs also want to live and have their money's worth), in addition to the professionalism and friendliness of the staff, good cuisine is also offered here. So what I've been able to try out a few times now (including eating with my bosses), really not cheap but really tasty, well made and beautifully presented, all in all a really good and pleasant experience. - I'll also add a few photos later (I'll have to dig them out of my cell phone first since there are over 20,000 photos there). So dear operators, you did everything right and picked me up well. A customer card would perhaps be an additional incentive for the regular guest/resident and would round it off, but I would really like to come back. I also see that you can be reached via “ Lieferando “, so I can even collect points there. And it's great that you're right next door :-) So everything really fits here, a real pearl and recommendation. Thank you very much. Just a good job. - Let's see when I give out the 5th star.

I was at Moonrice for the first time at the beginning of September 2024 and was so excited that I visited the restaurant a total of 3 times in the week I spent in Grömitz because it was sooooooo delicious. I can only recommend the sushi as well as the sesame balls, they are a dream. The service was very nice and incredibly attentive. Despite the fact that the restaurant was full, we didn't have to wait long for food or drinks. I'll be back in Grömitz in April and what can I say, Moonrice, I'm looking forward to seeing you 🥰

We come from Hamburg and spend a lot of time on the Baltic Sea. A visit to Moonrice is always a must. All very tasty. Arranging the food is a feast for the eyes and the staff are always friendly and in a good mood. My highlight, of course, is sushi. All of this at a fair price. It has now become my favorite restaurant for Asian cuisine in the area. The sushi is super delicious and there are many vegetarian and vegan options. The other main dishes, such as the Udon Wok, are also highly recommended. The restaurant itself is very modern and the service is really great. Overall, really recommended!☺️

The food is not a highlight. At least not if you've eaten good Asian food before. Unfortunately, the udon wok was very dry and lacked seasoning. The starters are not good value for money. In the restaurant itself there are spiders hanging in the corners, the toilets are dirty and there are also a lot of spiders there.

The four of us ordered the Kyoto Set, which was really enough, everything was freshly prepared Something for everyone.After paying, the friendly waitress found out that it was our daughter's birthday, and then she brought three different types of mochi to the table, free of charge. We got food to take away because the restaurant was completely overcrowded. The background noise is very terrible. The roasted duck with Chinese noodles was a joke. Completely dry and the pasta was maccheroni. It was anything but edible. We were there for the first and last time.
