We had reserved a table for four people. Because we were 15 minutes early, we had to go outside and came back in promptly at 7:30 p.m. We were then given our table and were subsequently completely ignored by the older waiter. When we asked for the menu after 15 minutes, he simply made a strange, dismissive gesture. Guests who arrived after us immediately received menus from him. The waitress was very friendly, although she asked if we wanted to stay for dinner when we said the waiter didn't want to serve us. I had a fillet steak with a baked potato. The sour cream with the baked potato was very runny and tasted like sour cream with lemon juice, but the steak was great.

I've been eating at Paff several times now, and I have to say the staff has always been polite and accommodating. The food has been delicious every time. Sure, the price is higher than elsewhere, but you get quality and you're right on the beach. I can highly recommend it.

We crowned our Baltic Sea vacation with a visit to Pfaff. We sat at a quiet table inside with a view of the kitchen. Everything seemed very structured and organized! The food was truly high-quality and delicious. We had a perfectly cooked beef fillet and incredibly delicious spare ribs, along with grilled vegetables and mushrooms. The desserts were the highlight. Everything is highly recommended, with truly friendly service!

We were at dasPfaff with two families, four adults, and three children. Unfortunately, we can't give it more than three stars for the following reasons: The appetizer and main course had to be ordered together; special requests for the dishes (extra cheese for the burger, for example) couldn't be accommodated when ordering. According to the service, this was due to logistics issues with the kitchen. Unfortunately, the kids' pasta was far too spicy, so the children couldn't eat it. The Wagyu burger was completely cooked, and the pasta was served without Parmesan. The staff was generally friendly, but made one snippy remark and wasn't very attentive during the meal itself (and was missing cutlery after the appetizer). We also noticed that the waiter's fingernails were very dirty. Too bad. 3 appetizers, one beer, two bottles of water, one bottle of wine, four appetizers and main courses, and four children's faces (one of which we had to order separately due to its spiciness) cost us €315. Unfortunately, it wasn't worth it.

The restaurant is located directly on the promenade. Seating is somewhat quieter and more sheltered from the wind, sitting on a small gallery in the second row. The ambiance is beautiful. The service was prompt, attentive, and courteous. Our drinks and food arrived quickly despite the restaurant being very busy. We both had the rump steak with various side dishes. The quality of the meat and the perfect cooking were sensational. The mushrooms with herbs were fantastic. The truffle fries could have been a bit more truffle-flavored for our taste. An absolute recommendation from us – 5 out of 5 stars.

Visit on September 1, 2025: We received very friendly service. Eating gluten-free was no problem. Four different dishes, all of them delicious. The spare ribs were outstanding, 6 stars; they fell off the bone easily, were tender as butter, and incredibly delicious. Try it for yourself. We'd love to come back!

Three of us went there for dinner today. We ordered three gyro dishes. We had to tell the waiter our drink order three times; two Alsters and a Coke were probably too hard to remember. The food arrived and looked good... But I don't think I've ever been served such bad food. The meat not only tasted sour, but also incredibly dry and was burnt in places. The waiter spoke to the kitchen about it... Quote: "They cooked it too long and he was sorry." They offer expensive Angus steaks, 300g for just under €70.... Would he just be sorry? We won't recommend this place to anyone, and we won't eat there again. The fries and the tzatziki, as well as the drinks, were perfectly fine.

The restaurant is located directly on the seafront with a magnificent view. The ambiance is appealing; you can eat outside on the promenade, up a bit higher on the terrace, or inside. We enjoyed the food very much, but we found the portions a bit small. We only had to wait a short time for our food. The prices are a bit more expensive than usual, but acceptable. Our server wasn't particularly friendly but polite and kept forgetting what we asked her to do—get a blanket for the children.

We went to the Pfaff in Grömitz on two consecutive evenings – my mother, my eight-month-old daughter, and I. The food was truly excellent both times, and the atmosphere and view were very pleasant. Unfortunately, the service was somewhat patchy. On the first evening, I asked a waitress if it was possible to heat up my daughter's evening cereal. She curtly denied this, pointing out that there was no microwave. The next evening, I asked again – this time to a very friendly waiter – and the cereal was heated without any problems. So, the microwave did exist. Why this was so categorically refused on the first evening remains a mystery to me – a brief comment like "not possible right now, but please come back soon" would have been sufficient. Unfortunately, it seemed as if they simply didn't want to bother with it. The other waiters were friendly, but apart from the waitress, no one came to the table to ask if anything else was needed. Even eye contact was ignored; we had to actively call someone. It's a shame – with such good food and such a great atmosphere, we would have liked a bit more attentive service.

For €45, I'd rather finish the entire McDonald's. Stopped for lunch and ordered a kids' cheeseburger (a hefty €13.80) and the regular cheeseburger (an even more expensive €20.70 with fries). Each sauce was an outrageous €1 extra per sauce. TOURIST RIP-OFF TO THE MAX! 1. The burgers are absolutely identical. The quantity and size are fine for an 8-year-old, but never for an adult. Comparable to the McDouble cheeseburger. But only one meat patty. 2. The service was at the table exactly three times. They took the order, brought it, and paid. Unfortunately, there was no other option for a complaint, except when paying and here in the reviews. In response to the question of why the kids' burger and the regular burger were exactly the same, they said that the lunch menu from 12-4 p.m. was like that. Why the burger costs almost €16 without fries and a side salad remains unclear and is probably due to the promise of more. The ambiance was really appealing, and so was the location, but nothing more. Never again!!! I'd rather have a fish sandwich: 4 fish sandwiches for €10 each and 2 Flensburgers. Avoid the Pfaff!!!!

I had a fillet steak with fried potatoes, which was cooked to perfection. I do have one criticism, though. For the price of the fried potatoes, the portion could have been a bit larger than just a small bowl.

It's not bad, pasta is good, hamburgers are very expensive, but you can get better tasting food for the price. Steaks are expensive, and all the side dishes cost extra. For 4 people, all the steaks with the side dishes cost over €250. You could buy a quarter of a beef for that.

Food great, service flop! According to the service person, the Pülleken tap was 'broken' after the first beer. Ordered another beer - when we ordered the bill we were told that the tap was working again. Ordered and didn't receive a new beer. When paying, the waiter said that the alternative beer didn't really taste good. He replied “then you shouldn’t have ordered it”. The waiter constantly had no thought of service, empty glasses, unfriendly and dirty corners of his mouth. Service is different! Kitchen please keep it up!

Everything was as it should be. The restaurant with its location and view of the Baltic Sea is absolutely unique. The service was very, very nice but not intrusive either. The food, rum steak and tomahawk were really great, the chef knows his craft and overall you're happy to spend a little more money. Conclusion Here you get something for your money. Keep it up. I ate there again on May 1st, 2025. It was again an absolute taste experience. Without exaggerating, I have never found a restaurant that made such a delicious steak.

Located right on the beach. You can sit inside and outside. We quickly made a reservation online an hour before dinner, which was quick and easy. The large ribs are a huge portion and super tasty.

We have been in Grömitz at least once a year for years and are guests every day at the steakhouse “dasPfaff” and its little snack brother “little Pfaff”. Here everything is prepared at the highest level and from the best ingredients, usually by the boss himself... from the café latte in the morning to a great lunch menu with snacks such as burgers, homemade sauces and side dishes, to the evening menu where no steak wish is left unfulfilled... all dishes are lovingly decorated. The waitresses were without exception friendly and attentive. Our dog was also treated to snacks and fresh water. An ambience in which we enjoy spending time both outdoors and indoors on all days of our Grömitz vacation. Clear recommendation for all holidaymakers in Grömitz... Stephan and Tanja all the best to you, your great team and the two TOP addresses "das Pfaff" and "little Pfaff" in town.

We ate there with 4 people. Even though it was very busy, we were served quickly and the food came quickly. The steaks were fried medium or rare as ordered and, like the schnitzel, it was very tasty.

Very unfortunate. No steak is served at lunch. Or is it? At least not for us. At two other tables that ordered after us, it was miraculously possible to order steak. The citizen, the spaghetti for the children and the spare ribs were super tasty and the service was very friendly. But maybe they should rename themselves "das Pfaff, every now and then or not for every steak restaurant".

A nice location on the promenade. Unfortunately the cola we ordered was not carbonated. Not a word of apology, nothing. The meat was really of good quality... but really nothing more. We had dinner with 12 people. First the children got their food then nothing happened for 15 minutes. I received my meat and my sides about 8 minutes later. That shouldn't happen at a restaurant in this price category. But everything was delicious

It started off sooooo well. Short waiting times at the beginning. We had a table at 5:30 p.m. Starter... the fake snails were really good. Main course the spare ribs, also great. The coleslaw salad was very spicy, which is very unusual for a salad like this. We also complained about this to the waiter, but he simply acknowledged it. There was also a dessert. Until then, have a really great evening. The drinks were then empty and we were unable to call the waiter over. We tried for 20 minutes. We would have liked to drink something more. We also couldn't pay at the table; the waiter apparently didn't want to or couldn't see us. We then went to the counter to pay. Admittedly, the restaurant was now really full, so the waiter was absolutely stressed. But still, the final impression just wasn't that nice. We stumbled upon this steak restaurant by chance. We were so impressed by the ambiance, the selection, and the prices that we spontaneously had a currywurst for lunch and immediately reserved a table for dinner. We had rib eye and pork fillet. Both were delicious. We'll definitely be back.

The views of the promenade and the sea are great. Unfortunately the tagliatelle with salmon were dripping in a large pool of oil. Unfortunately it didn't look appealing either. I'm disappointed.

Our steaks were cooked to perfection, crispy on the outside and tender as butter on the inside – a real taste experience! The homemade herb butter rounded the whole thing off wonderfully. There was also a crunchy Caesar salad and fresh, aromatic grilled vegetables. We were in Grömitz this weekend and googled for a good steakhouse. Because of the very good reviews, we decided on the “Pfaff”. What was great was that we were able to order a table online without having to spend a lot of time on the phone. We had gratinated goat cheese, pump steaks that were perfectly cooked to medium rare, and fillet of beef (also perfect) with fried potatoes, Mediterranean vegetables and various sauces. We haven't eaten so well in a long time. The dasPfaff team is super attentive and funny. We felt there with our friends as if we had been guests there forever!!! It was like coming home... So dasPfaff is definitely worth recommending. Thank you very much for this lovely evening, we would love to come back.

Unfortunately, our superlatives are not enough for this recession! But from the beginning: We reserved a table online in advance, which worked without any problems with a confirmation email. You will also receive another reminder email the day before. Very good service in advance. On the day of our reservation we arrived an hour earlier and were lucky enough to be able to use our table an hour earlier - after politely asking. My friend and I both chose the BBQ Spare Rips. According to the menu, it was buttery soft and what can we say: the meat literally fell off the bone and was so tender - incredibly tasty. The service was very friendly and polite but also discreet and not intrusive. The prices are of course not exactly cheap, but the most important thing is that the price-performance ratio is right and that is the case here. The whole evening was just perfect. Thank you very much, we'll be happy to come back.

For me one of the best steakhouses in Germany. I was already able to eat at Wolfgang's NY. At the Beef Brothers in South Africa. But the little Pfaff can easily keep up with and even surpass common chains like BlockH. We've been here twice a year for 4 years now and eat steaks twice every week. The steaks are always on point. Service is always great, especially the boss herself is great. Very clear recommendation.

We have enjoyed coming to Grömitz often for more than 20 years. We haven't been to Pfaff yet, although the restaurant has been around since 2020. I admit, there was always the thought of “tourist shop” in my head. Far from it! I apologized to the boss for that yesterday 😉. It was a really nice evening. Starting with a very friendly and warm welcome, followed by a goat cheese with sesame and rounded off with a rump steak that was perfectly cooked to medium rare. The extensive wine list also left nothing to be desired when it came to the choice of drinks. It was an evening as if we were already regulars, not just becoming them! Thank you for that and for your patience; we'll be back.

But far from it. The Pfaff is truly a jewel in Grömitz. The steaks were excellent. The truffle fries with parmesan are the best I've ever eaten. The squid starter was so uniquely tender. A dream. A big compliment also goes to the new, young employee, who is really very motivated and constantly tries to please her (male) colleagues (even if it sometimes seems difficult ;) ). Nevertheless, she is always very friendly and extremely accommodating. We'd love to come back.
