Mondo in Frankfurt am Main

We didn’t have much of a choice. The place didn’t disappoint. With a window overlooking the come and go of the airport, a dark beer cold enough to warm up your tired interior after a 14 hour flight, and a wonderful waiter graced our every interaction with a hearty laughter.

The coffee is very tasty, but you can't put your fingers into every to-go cup. Why can't you touch the outside of the cup? Absolute no go 🤢 Purchased today September 30th. 8:30 a.m. Greetings to the blonde lady

A nice meal, the burger is kofta and full of sauce, but it is good enough for a meal and a place to relax.

No cards accepted. Just One restaurant in the whole area E and D. That's not acceptable for an Airport like Frankfurt.

The pizzas were decent. The fillings were nice, but the base was clearly pre made and similar to frozen pizzas. The salad someone ate at the next table looked a lot better. The server was kind and served us fast. The mood came down fast when it came time to pay, and someone completely new person came out with the card payment machine. He came out when other customers paid as well, I don't know why our server wasn't able to do that job. The main problem was that the man asked verbally for a tip from us. It made us very uncomfortable, saying "It's not mandatory" doesn't fix the issue. When we denied his request, he seemed very unhappy. Have the tip option on the machine or just don't ask at all.

Avoid This Place! Our experience at this restaurant was highly disappointing. From the moment we walked in, we were met with an unwelcoming attitude from the Italian waiter. His under-the-nose demeanor set a negative tone right away. We ordered the Caesar salad and a cheeseburger. While the salad was decent, the burger was absolutely horrendous—poorly cooked and lacking flavor. It was far from what you would expect, especially considering the high prices on the menu. The worst part of the experience came when we paid the bill. The waiter was incredibly rude and aggressive, demanding a tip in a way that made us feel uncomfortable. Having lived in Germany for ten years, I’ve never encountered such behavior. This place is overpriced, with mediocre food and terrible service. I strongly recommend you avoid it. Terminal 2 Our waiter was small, bald man.

6'20€ = 1 bottle of water.... Thieves!

The cappuccino came from the machine despite the gigantic gastro machine and the heated ciabatta with vegetables was still ice cold inside, plus 1 small water makes 19€, thank you!

Your server was nice at first but after payment with not a big tips (already giving 10%) and he become rude and ignore us. Food was so so

Rude and disrpectful attendant at Frankfurt Terminal 1 July 10th 2024, 12:21pm. We got latte which was not hot at all and the attendant rudely replied that the machine is like that can't do anything! Poor customer service.

Friendly service. Some beer and mixed liquor options. Prices are reasonable for being in an airport.

Me and my friend (we were part of a group of 6) had a food poisoning here from burgers. Rest are ok as they did not eat the burgers. However, one of them almost bought a wrap that had expired already 3 weeks before. He was told it's there for display... Avoid!

WARNING! Do not eat here if you care about your health! I was on a business trip and while at the airport, we decided to get something to eat. There weren't many restaurants, so we ordered cheeseburgers from here. We waited 30 minutes for the burgers, and when I asked where they were, I was told they had been sitting next to the cashier for almost 30 minutes. They blamed us for not hearing them call out that the burgers were ready, even though we were sitting only 2 meters away from the cashier. But that’s nothing compared to what happened next! My friend and I ate the same burger, and the next day we were both out of commission for the entire day (vomiting etc., which started early the next morning). We clearly got food poisoning from that burger. Funny since, before I started eating, I initially thought, "Should I really eat this?" since it looked questionable. (Bad burger) All in all, we got terrible service and food poisoning from this place, and we both had to take the next day off. Who will pay for that? An airport restaurant should take extra care with hygiene and the ingredients they use since the customers are travelers. Luckily, my flight was an EU internal one and not a longer trip. I repeat, do not eat here.

Enjoyed a pretzel on while waiting on my connecting flight. Service was very friendly and the pretzel was delicious :)

DO NOT WALK TO THIS RESTAURANT. I highly recommend going to a restaurant in the main terminal area. The pictures of the food are fake. They serve pretzel sandwiches, weird “pizza”, and “paninis” that are closer to a Mexican quesadilla with bad ham. Also they charge absurdly high prices for coffee from a not very good electronic machine.

I shopped there for 15€ and only then was I told that I could only sit at the table if I ordered something a la carte, I should just take the burger. There is no easily readable sign for this at the first checkout.

Lots to choose from, from pizza to burgers, soup, dessert and even asparagus. Quick service and the food also arrived quickly. The beef burger was unfortunately dry and the bacon burnt. The salad was cheeky and the chips crispy. Unfortunately, the price and quality did not quite match, even if it is more expensive at an airport. When paying, the waiter asked for a tip. It didn't feel professional.

May 10: First-class service from an expert host! Worth more than 5 stars! Courteous, friendly - it's rare to meet such passionate service professionals these days. The burger was delicious, the coffee and cappuccino were excellent and you get lactose-free milk with your coffee! Gladly, gladly again.

Great start to your vacation: We were very impressed by the excellent service, which took away the stress after the security check and responded in a friendly manner to all requests. The three of us went for a small lunch before departure, with a nice view of planes taking off and the goings-on at the airport. Compared to other options, value for money was good. Avocado on bread with fried egg and salad, with spaghetti scampi, and as a highlight a freshly baked pretzel for the little one. At first there was only a cheese pretzel available, which we couldn't eat, but then they managed to freshly bake a normal pretzel just for us, and when time ran out, they even brought this pretzel to us in the queue at the gate when boarding to be delivered later 😉

We wouldn't come back. Unfortunately currently the only restaurant in this part of the airport. Pizza and burgers are frozen foods. Salad was old and already slightly brown. Of course everything at airport prices.

Very friendly staff, prices okay for the airport. 2€ deposit for the beer glass, which you get back. We would be happy to come back and thank you for the very friendly service.

Big good espresso machine but was only used for personal. I just got standard coffee from the easy push on the button machine, what was not good. Maybe only get good coffee when seating down. When i asked why i didn’t get coffee from the espresso machine he shook his shoulder and was not planning to do something about it.

The worst pizza of my life!!! Under no circumstances should you order a pizza! You get a frozen dough which is then topped (in my case with tons of disgusting ham). The “oven-fresh” frozen pizza is easily 20 times better. I paid €15 for the pizza. Total waste of money. But very good service and nice restaurant.

Half-empty restaurant and you are refused a seat despite buying a €4.20 coffee.

Extraordinarily bad burger. What they give you doesn’t match with the picture. I ordered a bbq burger and it came with lettuce and tomatoes. If you seat in, the burger comes with bag chips and mini salad, extraordinarily expensive. Don’t recommend.

Burger mit "Chips". Ich Trottel dachte das sind dann Chips... so wie Bratkartoffeln... aber einfach direkt aus funny frisch Tüte... Ich bin nicht pingelig, aber 18.90€ dafür ... das ist selbst am Airport Wucher

If you order a beer, you need to pay 2€ for your glass. Afterwards they don’t want to return the 2€, even if you ask it.

Wir entschieden uns für das Tomaten-Mozzarella-Carpaccio als Vorspeise, und es war ein Geschmackserlebnis der Extraklasse. Ja pērc tikai maizītes vai dzērienus, nedrīksti atrasties “restorāna” nodalījumā, lai gan apkalpojošais personāls pat nepaskaidro kāpēc, t.i.nepiedāvā izvēlēties ēdienu no ēdienkartes. Vnk novirza sēdēt pie letes. Protams ir arī izņēmums…nopērc kolu un sviestmaizi un plus apģērbā ir dziļāks dekoltē…tad drīksti sēdēt “restorāna” daļā uz ērtākiem krēsliem.

Cafe Mondo am ☕️ Frankfurt Flughafen Terminal 2 kann ich nur empfehlen. Preise sind Flughafen angemessen, so wie woanders auch. Personal ist freundlich und hilfsbereit. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

A nice little Restaurant-Bar located at Terminal 2 E Gates. The service is quick, with a smile and the food is fresh. I’ve ordered a double espresso made on a proper coffee machine which had an amazing flavour. If you’re there for breakfast I can recommend the Hipster Bread. Simple yet so tasty. So yeah, if you find yourself in FRA Terminal 2 and you’re hungry. Pay them a visit 👍🏻

Die Preise sind für einen Flughafen ok. Das belegte Brötchen wurde ohne zu fragen warm gemacht, das war etwas unglücklich.

Sehr schönes Ambiente und der Urlaub kann anfangen

Das Essen ist lecker und der Service ist sehr zuvorkommend, aufmerksam und stets gut gelaunt. Die Angestellten machen einen tollen Job. Dazu die Aussicht auf die Landebahn und die entspannte italienische Musik. Daumen hoch.

I’m here at least once a month. The food is good, and the atmosphere is nice. Always great and quick service from Deyan. Would definitely recommend this place

Super gemütliche Bar um auf den Flug zu warten. Für uns gab es Prosecco, Weißbier und eine Kleinigkeit zu essen. Das Servicepersonal war super nett. Daumen hoch.

Richtig schönes Café, ist leider etwas klein aber das ist auch dem Umstand geschuldet das auf den C- Gates nicht so viele flüge sind, das personal ist richtig freundlich und hilfsbereit, die Preise sind dem Flughafen angemessen, günstig ist es nicht aber seinen Preis wert wenn man einen leckeren Kaffee haben möchte

Nice place, staff is very nice. Prices are, of course, high, which is normal. Beer is good, potato salad is great, but the sausages dissapointed - tasteless.

Die belegten Brötchen schmecken sehr gut, der Kaffe in unserem Fall Cappuccino war fast ungenießbar.

Salat war gut und Bedienung freundlich. Kaffee leider nur lauwarm, daher 3 Sterne.

Es gibt einen weiteren Grund zu verreisen, nämlich die Mondo Bar im T 2 des Frankfurter Flughafen. Gezapftes Bier ist hier eine Selbstverständlichkeit. Dem nicht genug - es gibt dort einen Menschen, der mehr bietet, als bloßen Service. Ja, Karim, ich spreche von Dir. Ein derartiges Willkommen ist und bleibt einzigartig. Es ist, als besucht man seine Familie auf der Reise. Eine führsorgendere Servicekraft gibt es auf der Welt nicht. Tatsächlich ist es so, dass ich extra eine Airline buche, die vom T 2 fliegt, nur aufgrund der Hoffnung, ihn sehen zu können. Bitte bleib mir so lange erhalten, wie es geht. Ich glaube, dies ist der Beginn einer wundervollen Freundschaft....

The “Mondo Bar Caffe” of the C13 Gate is awfully expensive and not “Delicious Italian” as they say … not delicious, and not Italian at all, too much sauce, 3,90€ for a Coke … what a shame… if you have the choice, eat before being stuck at your gate

They provide many options of food with reasonable prices. The food us tasty and the staff are nice

Servicio hirrible, impertinentes y un poco mas. No se que deben creer los empleados de esta cafeteria, pero se ve que de donde provienen no han tenido la suerte de recibir una educacion basica.

Can be really crowded and you have to wait a long time before getting the order. Dishes are quite OK
