ALEX Frankfurt MyZeil in Frankfurt am Main

Am 8.11.24 war ich mit einer Freundin zum Frühstücksbrunch. Die Bedienung war sehr, sehr unfreundlich. Wir wurden 20 Minuten nicht bedient, bis ich an die Theke vor ging und sagte, dass wir bestellen möchten. Schon zu Beginn als wir die Karte ansahen war sie unfreundlich. Es gibt nur Frühstück, was wir auch wollten. Dann haben wir über eine halbe Stunde auf den Kaffee gewartet. Sie war wieder patzig, obwohl wir nichts zu der langen Wartezeit sagten. Zu guter Letzt hat sie mir 3 Frühstück berechnet, anstatt 2, ok kann passieren, aber sich nicht mal entschuldigen. Ich sprach mit meiner Freundin darüber. Da wurde sie richtig frech - jetzt reichts aber sagte sie. Sie gab mir das Geld zwar jedoch ohne sich zu entschuldigen. Sowas geht gar nicht wenn man in der Gastronomie arbeitet. Wir waren heute das letzte Mal hier. Wir gehen lieber ins Alex ins Skyline Plaza. Dort sind die Service Kräfte viel freundlicher.

Tk patty, long wait, unfriendly, got bottle order, disorganized shop and music too loud. Nice atmosphere but little to do with a good shop. 1st and last time in the Alex.

Most of the food is for vegetarians, as for me meat has no taste

I've been to you three times so far. After we waited around 30 minutes for the service and she still didn't come, I had to get up and look for her. (same with payment. The waitresses are usually visibly stressed (perhaps overwhelmed). When I placed the order with 4 people, the waitress said after every single order (even really after the first even though there are 4 of us)... that's it? that's it? like let me go... maybe 5 times... then I order an iced tea for my 2 year old son... that's it Not too cold, I took out the ice cubes... 1/4 of a drink and half a lemon were left. The food is not recommended. Thai Curry really gets a 2 out of 10. I've seen much better Alex's... On end up with a bill of more than 200€. Thank you...

Actually zero stars but unfortunately that's not possible. I wanted to eat there with my 3 children. The store wasn't full. After 25 minutes we got up because no one was paying any attention to us. Ambience is quite nice and quite modern. Food and service was absolutely not satisfactory. Burger patty was frozen goods, there was way too much topping on the burger so that everything fell down and the taste was rather below average. My friend's pasta was swimming in oil, but was otherwise okay. But the real shame comes when paying: you get a fee deducted for card payments without being informed of it. Absolutely incompetent. Schlimm are not familiar with their own breakfast price scales. Our daughter was considered an adult when she was 10 years old. The menu clearly states that children up to 10 years of age receive a reduced price. But you would see it differently from 10 onwards you would have to pay the adult price. What else can you say about that! There was nothing to be done. We paid first. Called Alex headquarters the next day and reported the incident. I think you could only shake your head there too. The lady on the phone said of course that means up to 10 that even 10 year olds pay the reduced price. At least we were given a voucher as a small compensation.

If you are in Frankfurt and want to eat good meat and fries, this restaurant is a good option. They serve quickly and the food is tasty and plentiful. Although I consider that prices, if they were lower, could attract more customers. Beautiful and relaxed place, we ate there twice in two consecutive days for lunch.

It's much better compared to Korea's Kimbap Heaven. I was able to comfortably eat meat during my 5 nights and 6 days stay in Frankfurt. The alcoholic gin and tonic drink had a lower alcohol content than expected. It's a good place to eat, drink and have fun with friends.

The Alex is very beautiful and offers a nice look. The selection of food and drinks is large, so there is definitely something for everyone. The service was very good. Both employees were attentive and polite. Our dish was good, I personally didn't really like the dressing below but my companion did. Therefore there are 5 stars. The portion size and quantity of food are a little small and in my opinion the price doesn't match. For me this is too expensive. Of course you pay for the location and such, but that still “bothered” me a bit.

Was at ALEX for the first time today. Had a coffee and a water. My companion had iced tea. Including the tip we paid 14 euros. The food looks very good. I will definitely go there again and research the menu.

Total system catering and the Alex can't even reach this standard... food below average and too greasy, indigestion the next day, dirty wine glasses (even though they've already been replaced), mice on the floor and certainly not cheap for what you get

We were there for lunch on Wednesday and were greeted by an incredibly bad-tempered waitress. A table by the window just became available and of course we wanted to sit there. We were told that we should sit somewhere else because she had to clean the table first and she could only do that if all the chairs were free. We said it wouldn't matter, we'll wait. She didn't like that either. No matter, we sat down and oh wonder, we were able to clear and clean the table without any problems. After us came a group of 5 people who also wanted to sit at a table by the window. Same game, but this impossible waitress told the people who also wanted to wait that it would take a long time until the table was clean (there were only 3 glasses on the table). They were so angry that they left. And it wasn't even half full! Such business-damaging behavior is unbelievable.

Great for breakfast or brunch. We've been here a few times this year, so that says a lot. The selection is okay for a breakfast buffet, the food is freshly prepared and is constantly checked and replenished. Depending on the day, service is fast or slow, between attentive and ignoring the interested, we've seen it all. With a bit of luck you can even make a reservation by phone if you don't get told to try it spontaneously because you don't feel like entering a note in the reservation book, since online reservations are only possible from 2 p.m. The location is okay in the top part of the MyZeil, the view from the terrace of the lines themselves and over the roofs of the city is quite impressive. All in all, you can enjoy going here, even if the service is sometimes not that great.

The staff is extremely unfriendly, the chicken karaage bowl had almost no chicken in it, the salad was not fresh. Everything from ordering through getting the order to paying took a lifetime. The waitress was extremely unfriendly as we didn't know German, but straight up told my husband that she wishes to round up the bill by maybe 8%. Come on! If you want to charge for service, do so, but don't present the fact that you WILL take a tip regardless I want it or not. My husband didn't oppose as he is from a country where tips are not a thing and he doesn't know how to handle it. If I was the one paying I would have said no. Tips are for great service and are optional based on the guest's decision.

We waited 30 minutes to have our drinks and more 30 for the server take what we want for lunch and more 40 minutes to receive our plates . I never seen a place so terrible like this . Avoid this place .

Ich bin um 10.15 in das Lokal gegangen und habe mich hingesetzt. "Schon" um 11.04 kam eine Bedienung und fragte was ich denn möchte. Bis dahin konnte ich mehrere Bedienungen am Handy und Laptop beobachten. Ja, ich habe mich nicht großartig bemerkbar gemacht. Aber in einem fast leeren Lokal sollte hinsetzen reichen.

We (3 people) were in the restaurant on Saturday of the European Championship (round of 16 DE vs DK). Not in the evening during the games but at lunchtime shortly after the breakfast buffet. The facility has its best days behind it. Chairs are mostly defective and should be “restored”. The employees, who seemed a bit small to us, were a bit overwhelmed. We involuntarily spent almost 2 hours in the restaurant from the first contact to paying (3 portions of waffles and 5 drinks). Other tables were significantly faster, so really faster. Two people come to the restaurant almost an hour later than us and even have their food before us. So if Deutsche Bahn opened a restaurant it would be called Alex in FFM, you wait forever for everything and you're late. Sorry but that doesn't work at all. Just because scantily clad female creatures enter the restaurant on a hot day doesn't mean you can ignore other tables. Then the waffles: all 3 portions cold (fresh waffles) banana split waffles became strawberry chocolate waffles without any info. There was no ice cream because the machine was broken, that's okay. But leave everything out and don't go for your own wishes. Drinks were also prepared according to your mood. Ordered 2 drinks twice and prepared differently both times. For us it was the last time at Alex in FFM. Unfortunately I was very disappointed.

Stay away from ALEX in Frankfurt MyZeil! We were at Alex on a Saturday around 12:30 p.m., were taken to the table by the waiter and sat down. Let's look at the cards, the waiter came after about 15 minutes and immediately said that xyz was out, then we needed another "time to think about it", here too it took a relatively long time until a waiter came and took our order. In the meantime, we noticed that one of the chairs was so broken that the spring had already gone through a hole and literally "impaled" you. After we placed our order, one of the three drinks came relatively early, the other two took ages - the first one was almost empty. The next drink order went the same way. Here too it took ages until the drink was brought. We waited an incredibly long time for the food, but (I would say) it was ready a long time ago. The waffles we ordered arrived cold and slightly dried out. The icing sugar had already "melted" and at the same time ingredients were left out, but we didn't make a "fuss" in the store and just accepted it... We just wanted to get out. In total we spent a little over 2 hours at this store for drinks and waffles. In my life I have never experienced such a bad ALEX as here. I can only expressly recommend that everyone avoid this store.

DO NOT ORDER A CAIPIRINHA!!!!! Ordered a Caipirinha today and unfortunately didn't even get a watered down Mojito... When asked, they said that's how it's done here - but unfortunately it's not on the menu... Unfortunately, the food is just average, at least the curry... Otherwise the cocktails probably taste pretty good, but who knows...

What can I say about last night, I'm still pretty shocked by the service, or you can't even call it service. Let's start at the beginning, how can every place be so dirty, whether on the table, chair or floor? The table isn't even wiped for the next guests. The three waiters stood at the bar, chatted and ignored some tables for at least 10 minutes, practically during cocktail happy hour, so no one could actually order anything. A whopping 2 minutes before the end, the waiter came up with the idea of ​​serving our table and through haste we even managed to do it. Embarrassing when the same waiter comes to the table again after 5 minutes and no longer knows that we have already ordered, he has simply forgotten?! Um, it's great how you feel as a guest, I'm really amazed by your service in general, how hard it is to work. The location itself would be pretty cool if it were clean. I can't rate the food, the cocktails were ok. But there won't be a next time, unfortunately the shop is far too unfriendly.

We had a nice family time here. The ambiance if this place is very pleasant. The waiter was very friendly and polite. We ordered some snacks and drinks. Our order came fast and everything was tasty. Overall it was a decent experience.

Phew, where should I start?! The schnitzel is Tk. I really don't have to go to a restaurant to eat it, even my children didn't like it. The pasta with tomato sauce tasted like nothing, pasta was overcooked, no salt. The lettuce was so old, so many bad leaves. And our drinks didn't come until we were almost finished. It's crazy, I haven't eaten such bad food in a long time. That was the last time there.

Service quality varies depending on which time you go. Have been here many times. I find it best between 2-4pm on a Sunday or during weekdays. Otherwise it’s overrun and it take more than 15min until someone comes around. The house made lemonades are awesome.

Alex is no longer the same as he used to be. When we arrived and sat down we were ignored by the waiter and waited 10 minutes. Then we moved around and the waiter was super nice. We waited 15 minutes for 3 cappuccinos and 3 blueberry iced tea. Cappuccinos were cold and the iced tea wasn't cool. The iced tea simply tasted like a concentrate. The one star only goes to the nice waiter.

I was there for brunch with my girlfriend today and were welcomed and served by Monchi. Just a great, lovable young man who does his job with passion. We felt very comfortable. Buffet very good again ☺️

After all of course we left and just moved to cross of their restaurant , name is “bigchefs ” .

The Berry Lady drink wasn't anything special and didn't taste that good. The chicken teriyaki had very little chicken in it and way too much sweet potato. The service was good, but the food wasn't.

Sorry, I used to love going to Alex. Unfortunately, Alex is a catastrophe here on Zeil. This review refers to 2 visits, the first time I thought it might go stupid, but after the 2nd time Alex has taken care of it for me. On our first visit we were only there to eat, the food itself was okay, but the portions are not particularly large compared to the product photo and price. However, the bad thing was that we ordered pizza rolls and NO ONE noticed that they were moldy. The waitress was visibly uncomfortable and we logically refused the replacement product... On the second visit we were there for cocktails on Saturday evening. As always, the upper area was actually closed. All the tables downstairs were occupied. There were 2 waiters for the entire area downstairs, both of whom were massively overwhelmed. We waited over 30 minutes for the first cocktail order to be taken and only received them 30-40 minutes later. Because we were waiting, we were hungry and ordered something. Since we were sitting right in front of the kitchen, we saw the finished dishes piling up and ours was there too. After about 20 minutes, a cook (!) helped out the waiters and brought us our now cold food. A little later we ordered another round of a vodka lemon and a gin and tonic, which after 40! Minutes still weren't there. For those who don't know: A sip of alcohol is poured into a glass and the mixing material is added in a small bottle. HOW can you not get this together in 40 minutes. We then asked again, waited another 15 minutes and then went to pay. Our waiter saw us leaving and didn't react until his colleague called him repeatedly to cash in on us.

In addition, cocktails are not another recommendation... they consist of 80% water and you pay a cheeky price for that. I was very happy to spend a morning here but was very disappointed.

Contrary to some of the comments I read here: super friendly service and the food (burgers) juicy and tasty. Maybe the pattie was a little well done, but nothing else to complain about. An ambience where you enjoy spending time and letting your gaze wander over the city. Gladly again :)

We had a very disappointing experience. This one waiter was very rude to us and got our order wrong. Nice service and a really nice atmosphere

Cozy atmosphere, very good service and a large selection of delicious dishes of all kinds.

I've been going to Sunday brunch with my family almost every weekend for a few months now. What I like the most in the buffet is definitely the smoked salmon, but the last time I came, this was replaced by matjes/herring fillets. I don't know whether this change was due to price reasons or something else, but I (and my family) are certainly not happy about it (since the hot dishes in the buffet are, well, not very convincing in terms of quality and taste). Although the atmosphere is relatively cozy, the service is rather poor, as there are often only 1-2 waiters working, but there is not much to complain about in terms of the service itself, but 1-2 more workers probably wouldn't hurt, as they are always a lot are too busy, and therefore groups of people often have to wait at the entrance to be seated. We'll go again now, but if it continues to be the case that the salmon is out, we might consider going to the brasserie next door for brunch.

The first and last time Alex in FFM. Even ordering drinks was extremely difficult because the waitress was already overwhelmed and only a partial order from everyone at the table was taken. Instead of serving it, people preferred to check their cell phones or talk to their colleagues. When we mentioned this we received the first cheeky comment from the waitress. Empty plates and glasses were not cleared away and drink orders took forever. The service was a complete disaster. And a little note on the side. Gossiping about customers in English isn't particularly smart. Especially if you come from the catering industry yourself, you feel doubly or tripled fooled here.

Worst Alex visit ever! Waitress was so incredibly unfriendly and annoyed by everything. First of all we had to wait an extremely long time until someone came to order. Although today wasn't busier than usual, after ordering two drinks, a burger and a wrap, we waited 40 (!) minutes before the burger came. After I pointed out that we were still waiting for the drinks, the waitress said it was so busy (it definitely wasn't!). After another 10 minutes I took my own water bottle out of my bag and drank from it, then our drinks came straight away. After a total of an hour my wrap arrived - unfortunately the lettuce inside the wrap was completely rotten. I unrolled the wrap - there were even rotten spots. Yuck! When I pointed this out to the waitress and showed her the salad, she said that if I had told her earlier, she would have replaced the salad.... I will definitely not leave my money here again!!

So the prices have no relation to the service. I have to say we ate burgers. Hans is a lot better at luck. It wasn't the staff, they were friendly. They're just completely understaffed and we're not even here at peak times. No recommendation! Better to go to Hans im Glück or to the pizzaria in MyZeil

The waitress was rude. He threw our plates on the table in anger. Our food was ready and the waitress took 20 minutes to serve it to us resulting in the food arriving cold unacceptable. I love their food but with this attitude I won't go there again
