Cool ambience, we liked the place ♥️ food is okay and drinks are great👍 Great place to hangout with family and friends or a get together. There is view of city but I would say inside atmosphere is amazing 👏 service people are very friendly and service is great 👍 👌 😀 price is okay €€ and reasonable 😀👍

The food was okay. However, a few things went wrong. The drinks sat at the counter for a full 15 minutes and weren't brought to our table. Two minutes later, the food arrived. Half of the fries were lost because the server tilted the plate. The prices are also on the higher side; there are much cheaper alternatives. The iced tea was okay, though. The service was friendly. I hope things will be a bit better next time. :)

Solid restaurant, have different cuisines (Asian, Italian, etc.) the atmosphere is inviting. The food tasted good, nothing to complain about, we were in a hurry and asked for the bill several times. It took more than +10 minutes and the waitress wasn't busy with anything else, we could see that, I have no understanding for that.

Service is probably overwhelmed today. The order was taken and from that moment on things went downhill. The food comes to the table really lukewarm. We ask when the drinks will come. . . Answer: When you're ready... in the meantime we had a complaint about a sandwich and instead of saying sorry they said this is how it's done and this is the consistency and it's done. That's not how you talk to customers and we're out for now. We don't get any attention anymore, no one asks if we want something to drink or if we want dessert. It's a shame, but the service is not what you expect.

The interior is beautiful and the food was good overall, but the red-haired female waitress was really rude. She ruined our beautiful Friday. 🧑🏻‍🦰We made a reservation at 11 and sat down, but the buffet was until 12, and even after a few minutes, they didn't come to take our order, so I was anxious because there wasn't much time left for the meal. All the waitresses just looked at us and always went to take our orders at other tables. I felt like they were deliberately ignoring us, so when I raised my hand, she yelled at me, "I'm working, why are you raising your hand? Wait!!" The red-haired female waitress was very emotional with the customer. When she yelled at us, all the customers at other tables looked at us. We felt very insulted, humiliated, and ashamed. It's been 7 hours since I ate, but I still feel insulted and ashamed about this situation. I'm really grateful to you for hurting my feelings.

The MyZeil shopping center is not beautiful in itself, but the ALEX ambience in the building is still completely fine. It's a shame that there is no outside terrace, but that is due to the building itself. The cake I chose and the Aperol Spritz tasted good, and the staff member who looked after our table was very nice and friendly. We were absolutely satisfied.

Was here today with my girls. great! The waiters were nice and kept us entertained throughout the evening. The drinks were delicious. I didn't eat, but my girls did. Cihan and Simon were particularly great.

The restaurant has a beautiful interior that feels really inviting. Unfortunately the drinks were not convincing - they were rather mediocre. However, what really spoiled the overall impression was the behavior of the waitress. Her tone was extremely unpleasant and irritable, which made the stay less pleasant. It's a shame, because the restaurant could score a lot more with better service.

It's a very good restaurant. There are few restaurants in the Zeil area, especially in the evenings, so I'm glad that Alex is there. It speaks for itself that there is usually more going on here than at the competitors on the same floor. Yesterday I had the burger that any health advocate would certainly advise against. You should only treat yourself to it rarely. The Aperol is nice and big here. Fish and chips are a far cry from the original, but you can save that for the UK. The nachos plate is recommended. The waiter was cute and the toilets are very clean. There is a special access card for this.

Well, waiting in line at the door just for a coffee....30% empty seats...and the big deal...the seats on the right can only be paid in cash and the table next to you can pay with a card...I don't get it... Well then...there are other better coffee stores...weird store...I don't know that.

Extremely long waiting times are really beyond good and bad. It's quite expensive which is ok but then the food should be top notch. The fact that you have to pay extra for ketchup and mayo and then only get a small amount is crazy.

Worst service, nice food. The waitress was arrogant / rude. We asked first round of drinks + food without ice and in the second round we specified: no ice or just a little bit but they filled it with ice and the waitress just looked at us really insolently, rude and judgy. After waiting for 20 min we had to go to the bar for the ice to be removed. Alex food is good but i would never return this one. I want to get what i order and not people treat me disrespectful, insolent and rude. The same waitress made us wait 30 minutes to pay passing by and ignoring all the time

We ate there last year.. that was a disaster.. but yesterday it was nice again and the food was once again something you could eat (Valentine's Day) with the three courses you can't really go wrong

Was here for the first time today. We were greeted with a smile and it was very cozy. The selection of food and cocktails was great and delicious. It was well attended and yet it was pleasantly quiet and you could have a conversation without shouting. Monchi and Valentina were attentive and friendly, thank you very much 😋 we would be happy to come back. Oh yes, the view is great too 🥳

Food (burger) was delicious. Unfortunately the cutlery was twice!!! dirty (even after asking for something new). Partly really obvious. Please rework here.

Would highly recommend this Alex, my best friend and I always go to Alex and have a great time. We always enjoy their delicious cakes 😍 The people are also very nice, especially Sidona and Monchi who offered a very friendly, nice service.

Really good food and quite inexpensive! Sammy and the team were all friendly and welcoming! Food quality was great and in great supply - we had the buffet! The food was warm and not over cooked like hotel buffets and half the price of a hotel in the area! Well worth it, will be back

The service for our group was 1a, you couldn't expect more.

In itself a really nice location, but the service always leaves a lot to be desired, it was very listless and stroppy, even right at opening time. Unfortunately, we had to wait forever for coffee for breakfast, even though we were the first and only ones in the location. We've been there twice now but this is the last time as the service unfortunately doesn't change and that's what makes a location so special.

Disappointing service – unfortunately not recommended Unfortunately, our visit to the ALEX FRANKFURT MYZEIL was a big disappointment, especially because of the inattentive and unfriendly service staff. We didn't feel welcome when we were greeted, and throughout our stay the staff seemed more annoyed than helpful. We actually wanted to enjoy the buffet, but due to the unfriendly atmosphere we just opted for a drink and a snack instead. Even though we were the only guests on site, the service took a long time to arrive and there was no friendliness whatsoever - a smile or a kind word could have saved the day. What was particularly disappointing was that it was my wife's birthday. Such an important day should start with good service and a pleasant atmosphere - unfortunately that wasn't the case here. It's a shame, because there are many other restaurants nearby where guests are warmly welcomed and can have a nice time. I hope my experience helps others make the right choice - a place where you feel comfortable and are treated well.

Very tasty and extensive breakfast buffet. What stands out for me are the freshly baked pretzels. However, the food (scrambled eggs, pancakes, etc.) could be a little warmer and I would personally like to have more choice with the muesli (nuts, chia seeds, raisins, etc.) Unfortunately we only got it after 3 years!!! I found out by chance that there are vouchers for free use of the toilet.

The food was ok but not a highlight. I think if you want to eat something you can find something better nearby. It's perfectly fine to have a drink, coffee, etc. The waitress was also nice, at first she forgot something but that can happen. Came in 5 minutes. later the forgotten.

The place I like very much. The service taste is the same in every city. Please use Nutella. The coffee and breads and croissants are delicious. I'm with Alex every time I come

Unfortunately, my visit to this establishment left completely unfulfilled any expectations one might have of a hospitable establishment. Although the house was undoubtedly well attended, this in no way justifies the unbearable length of waiting, which almost made me believe that my twilight years had already begun. Even a simple beer, the provision of which would be expected as a minimum level of service, took what felt like an eternity to arrive. When the food was finally served, a picture of lovelessness was revealed, which also manifested itself in unsatisfactory mediocrity in terms of taste. A further visit on my part can therefore definitely be ruled out.

No greeting and no information that it might take a moment to place the order. You are simply ignored. Instead, the waitress preferred clearing cutlery and cleaning empty tables rather than serving new customers. The neighboring table, who had been sitting at the table for a while after asking, also approached the waitress and asked to be served. Went again after about 10 minutes with no reaction. Service = disaster

Veggie burgers including truffle fries were very tasty - but toilet costs (currently) 50ct extra.

The three of us were at Alexl and enjoyed coffee and cake. The service was simply great - our waiter, a friendly gentleman with very short hair and a strong build, served us attentively, friendly and in a good mood. He made sure that we felt completely comfortable. Thank you for the great afternoon! We'll definitely be back.

Unfortunately the food was cold when it arrived after about 40-50 minutes and didn't taste good at all. I had the salmon spinach lasagne and it gave me food poisoning. Service wasn't good, it took 30 minutes until we even got our drinks. Never again! The ambience and location is nice, but the waitress doesn't feel like doing her job. The Alex branch in skyline Plaza is worlds better!

Sunday lunchtime, some tables were still free, occupancy was visibly relaxed - but the service staff were not very motivated. We first waited probably 20 minutes, then actively asked at the counter (where we were told there was table service and we couldn't order there) and then had to call someone over to even be noticed. The Kaiserschmarn with ice cream for €7.20 was tasty but expensive for the quantity. The atmosphere is chic and the view is great. Nevertheless: we were unfortunately very disappointed.

Recently my girlfriend, my baby and I were at Alex in MyZeil and wanted to have lunch there. While we waited for our food, I brought home-made food for my baby and fed her there. Suddenly the waiter came, looked at my baby in astonishment and said out of nowhere: “Your food doesn’t look so appetizing,” looked at both of us and walked away. I was so shocked by what the waiter said and couldn't say anything at that moment. Very rude and unprofessional! How can you say something like that to a customer!!? He was a powerfully built guy with a full beard. He probably noticed that I found his comment very unpleasant, came up to us again and asked: “Am I annoying you?” And I was like, “yes!!!!” Then luckily he didn't come at all. Just cheeky!!!! Hopefully he reads this too. The only question is: can he even remember it? Because I was definitely not the only customer there who had to listen to such a stupid and unnecessary statement. Now to the food: far too small a portion for the money. I wasn't even close to full. In addition, the dish was not freshly prepared, but was frozen. At least that's how it tasted and for the price... That's so outrageous. I can go to Aldi straight away and get 5 packs of it and get at least the whole portion for the money and not just half. The price/performance ratio doesn't match either way and yes, as I said, the service leaves a lot to be desired. Generally very bad.

Today I had the Currywurst Deluxe... What can I say, a run-of-the-mill bockwurst that was cold! The sauce was simple Normal curry spice ketchup. The mayonnaise was delicious and the fries were still half raw! Either you had a bad day, or the quality has declined rapidly and the prices are rising! I was also able to look at the kitchen the whole time, some of the ready-made food was there for about 10 minutes, of course it was cold then.

The service is catastrophic! We waited almost an hour for the food, even though the place was only half full.

A great place to sit and watch the world go by as you wait 20 minutes for your order to be taken and a further 20 minutes for it to arrive.

Hello, On January 3rd, 2025 we ate here at Alex My Zeil shortly before 12 p.m. The table was very dirty, was wiped down briefly and the crumbs ended up on one of the seats or on the floor. The service was very unkempt. Greasy hair, the shirt was hanging out of the pants and the underpants were hanging out too. The clothes probably didn't fit him. No, that wasn't a style, it was definitely pants that were too tight and a shirt that was too small. I'll come and eat myself. Once the mushroom schnitzel €17.10 and a lasagna Bolognese €16.90 To put it briefly, the price performance is underground! The fries with the schnitzel could be counted on one hand, the lasagna had the taste of a Dr. Oetker product and the portion was smaller than this frozen product. With drinks the bill was 47 euros and I have never had the feeling that I received so little in return for this money. I'm happy to pay for this if the value is right. This was crazy...

Solid restaurant with lots of space and different dishes. Everyone can find something here! There are a few sockets in the window area. The breakfast buffet is particularly recommended during the week, as it is cheaper and less busy.

Probably due to the high number of visitors, we (2) had to wait in line for a very long time to be assigned tables. What I immediately noticed: There was simply not enough staff - the two gentlemen in service could hardly keep up with clearing up, bringing guests to the table, taking orders, plates with cutlery..., serving. Drinks and food, cash in 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️ there was definitely at least one strength missing! BUT: A huge compliment to the KITCHEN!👍 Our bowls (the GYOZA BOWL vegetables and I the TERIYAKI SALMON BOWL) were sooo delicious - we raved about them all day long... also great value for money 👍! The homemade lemon soda was also very tasty! I/we will be back!

We were there for New Year's Eve brunch. The price-performance ratio is great. When we ordered our drinks, we unfortunately had to wait up to 20 minutes, even though it was still quite empty... When the drinks came, we discovered that the coffee and tea had spilled over and the cup was completely stuck... Not all of the plates at the buffet were clean, and the cutlery also had small pieces stuck to it. Everyone can find something to eat at the buffet itself. It is also varied.

waiting time much too long, 10 minutes for the waiter to come and ask us what we want. In terms of desserts, half of what I wanted was missing and I had to have something completely different.

Unfortunately, our visit today was more than just disappointing and will definitely be our last for the time being... First of all, it is important to mention that we are actually Alex's regulars and have enjoyed eating there for several years. There was always a very diverse and delicious selection and we were always satisfied. However, today we experienced the opposite and were almost traumatized. We had reserved a table for two people and had to wait a long time until an employee showed us to a table. We then sat on comfortable armchairs, but they were far too low for the relatively high table, which is why we were skeptical were still in a positive mood. It was quite full and it took a while for our order to be taken, but until then everything was fine. The food actually came quite quickly, but our drinks only came after we had almost finished eating. Unfortunately, when the drinks came, we weren't so thrilled because the otherwise delicious iced teas were carelessly prepared this time. The glasses were super sticky and the drinks tasted completely like syrup (we had had these exact drinks many times before). Now about the food: I had the Gyoza Bowl, which tasted good, but the price is in no way justified or understandable, as you get a pretty small portion for just under €17. My husband, on the other hand, had a traumatizing burger from his wildest nightmares. He even said that it was the worst restaurant visit of his life and almost vomited after a few bites. Serving the last cheapest frozen mud for such a high price is almost creepy and inhumane. He had stomach pains all evening afterwards and probably got food poisoning. After we had eaten our respective dishes (as good/as much as possible), it took over 15 minutes for our plates to be put away, even though we had already pointed this out to the staff. We still wanted to make the most of the evening and so we ordered waffles for dessert, which we have always enjoyed over the past few years. We were immediately told by the waiter that it would take about 20 minutes, but we accepted this and placed the order. At the table next door, new guests arrived who only ordered dessert (including waffles) and ultimately they received their waffles before us. We suspected that they accidentally served our waffles as we had to wait over 30 minutes and even received the wrong scoop of ice cream with our waffles. After we had to get up ourselves to look for a waitress and point it out to her, we were only told that the type of ice cream we had chosen didn't exist, even though I had explicitly asked the waiter about the types of ice cream available before ordering. We had to wait another 10 minutes for the replacement ice cream that was offered to us. All in all, we are extremely disappointed and shocked at what has become of our beloved restaurant. Extremely high prices for mediocre to poor quality and terrible service... Of course, with a heavy heart we couldn't leave a tip because we just wanted to get away as quickly as possible and hopefully soon forget the evening!!!!
