Das frisch zubereitet Essen ist immer liebevoll angerichtet.Auch für Vegetarier geeignet.Eine große tolle Auswahl an Getränken,Aperitifs,Cocktails und Bier. Das Personal ist sehr aufmerksam,freundlich und immer bemüht. Für Wünsche sind Sie offen und versuchen alles möglich zu machen, auch wenn es nicht auf der Karte steht. Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis stimmt auch. Ich finde es schön zu sehen wie viel man aus dem Mönchhof rausholen kann und was alles noch schönes geplant ist. Und dazu sind es einfach auch noch sehr nette Pächter. Grüße gehen raus an Bobby und Ranjid😉

Sehr authentische indische und vor allem deutsche Küche. Wir saßen draußen, uns hat es sehr gut gefallen. Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis stimmt.

Tolles Restaurant, guter Service und das Essen war hervorragend zu gutem Preis

Ich bin dort jetzt schon mehrfach zum Mittagstisch gewesen. Ich wurde stets freundlich und flott dort bedient. Bei entsprechendem Wetter werden dort im schönen Biergarten leckere Speisen für einen vernünftigen Preis gereicht. Das Lokal liegt für Radler, die am Main entlang unterwegs sind, ideal. Ich werde auch weiterhin gerne dort Rast machen. Nachtrag aus 2026: Diese Rezension ist deswegen nicht mehr aktuell, weil der damalige Betreiber verstorben ist und deshalb sich die Umstände geändert haben. Wie die Situation aktuell ist, weiß ich nicht.

Allein schon die Lage ist fünf Sterne wert! Das Restaurant Mönchhof hat eine wunderschöne Terrasse mit tollem Blick auf den Fluss. Es ist sehr hundefreundlich und hat eine entspannte, einladende Atmosphäre. Tolle Auswahl an regionalen Gerichten und kühlen Getränken. Mein neues Lieblingsziel für Wochenendausflüge in der Gegend um Eddersheim.

Auf der Radtor hier einen Stopp eingelegt. Der Betreiber hat vor 9 Tagen neu eröffnet. Ich hatte einen leckeren Leberkäse mit Ei und Bratkatofffeln für 15,50 Euro und war sehr zufrieden.

Ein fantastisches kulinarisches Erlebnis von Anfang bis Ende. Das Restaurant besticht durch seine warme, authentisch deutsche Atmosphäre, die einladend und gepflegt wirkt. Jedes Gericht wurde mit viel Liebe zum Detail zubereitet – das Schnitzel war perfekt knusprig und geschmackvoll, und das Curry mit Reis war reichhaltig, ausgewogen und wohltuend. Man erkennt die Leidenschaft und das Können des Küchenchefs deutlich im Geschmack und in der Präsentation. Die Qualität der Zutaten und die gleichbleibende Qualität sind wirklich herausragend. Der Service war zuvorkommend und freundlich und trug zum Gesamterlebnis bei. Absolut empfehlenswert – dieses Restaurant bietet Qualität und Authentizität. Ich komme ganz bestimmt wieder.

Ich kann dieses Restaurant aufgrund der hervorragenden Speisenqualität und des schnellen Services wärmstens empfehlen. Die Mitarbeiter waren sehr zuvorkommend und aufmerksam, was den Besuch noch angenehmer machte. Auch die Getränkeauswahl ist großartig. Unbedingt probieren sollte man den Handkäse mit grüner Soße – er war einfach köstlich und eines der Highlights meines Besuchs. Ich habe meinen Aufenthalt dort sehr genossen und komme auf jeden Fall wieder. Die Lage ist zudem sehr praktisch und gut erreichbar.

The staff was friendly. The beer garden was nice. The food was homely. Unfortunately, the steak wasn't warm. The asparagus was undercooked.

Lunch at Restaurant Mönchhof Eddersheim was a real gastronomic pleasure! The place is very cozy, with a beautiful historical character and a cozy atmosphere - perfect for a leisurely lunch or a meeting with friends. The food is simply excellent: the dishes are generously served, everything is fresh, well prepared and presented with attention to detail. I especially liked the meat - juicy, aromatic, perfectly roasted. The side dishes and sauces complemented the taste, and did not interrupt it. The staff is friendly and professional, the service was fast, but not fussy, which is especially appreciated. Overall, a great place to come back to. If you like delicious food in a pleasant atmosphere - I highly recommend it!

Yesterday, I ate at the local Mönchhof restaurant again. The Mönchhof has long been known for its change. It's unfortunate that the lamps are hung high above the tables, rather than over the tables. This creates a strange light and doesn't feel very cozy. The Mönchhof was full inside (it was too cold outside). The service was very friendly, attentive, and quick. The Pinot Gris was a bit sour and not the best choice. There also seems to be a new chef at the moment. The small appetizer salad was very appealing. The main course was a very balanced, delicious green sauce (definitely homemade) – I haven't had it like that in a while. The fried potatoes with the skin on were also good! If only the eggs weren't fully hard-boiled but semi-soft-boiled – a dream. We'll definitely be back.

Unfortunately we were a bit disappointed. If you read the reviews here, you might think that everything is homemade and more than just “tasty”. It wasn't bad, but it was just standard and didn't justify the slightly higher prices. The equipment is still the same as it was 25 years ago and is therefore worn out. The service was friendly.

I ate here at the Mönchhof on Easter Monday 2025. As a starter I had goat cheese gratin with Eddersheimer honey, walnut chutney and bread. Very nicely served on an elongated dish. It tasted fantastic! Afterwards I ate tagliatelle with wild garlic, mushrooms and asparagus. There were a variety of asparagus mixed in with the noodles. Delicious! I really enjoyed that too. Jaquline has been running the Mönchhof beautifully for a year now (?). It's worth a visit. If you don't know your way around Eddersheim, I can recommend a walk across the barrage after your meal to watch the ships being locked on the Main! (right next door) Top food! We've eaten here several times now, always in connection with vacation, due to the proximity to the airport. Found it by chance and we always enjoy coming here, from the food to the service everything is great and definitely recommended!

Guests of the Hey Lou Hotel can reach it on foot in 10 minutes via the Main. Super tasty, very good service and cozy!! We'd love to come back!

Were invited to a private birthday party. There was food from the buffet ordered for this purpose. The food was fresh, tasty and in sufficient quantity. The ambience is just a bit old. But if you like the country house style, you will feel comfortable. In summer it is certainly a great meeting place for cyclists and walkers.

Finding this place a short walk away from an industrial zone was wonderful, and the spot is a gem. The owner was wonderful, friendly, welcoming, and very acomodating. I loved everything about the place, food, beverage, and most of all, the friendly welcome. I would to come back to this spot!

A nice restaurant located directly on the Main. Nice place to stop over. Small menu, but absolutely sufficient & something for everyone. Will definitely come back in the summer.

Today was still “Oktoberfest” and there was a small menu. The food was delicious, unfortunately some dishes were already sold out. If we stop by again while passing through, we look forward to cheese spaetzle.

We always have a small and cozy meal there before the flight.

I am revising my old rating! New tenants/owners. We were there twice, unfortunately neither the quantity nor the quality of the preparation of the food justified the prices quoted. It's clear to me at this point that everyone wants to live, but you have to justify a certain price somehow... And guests who don't come back can't be the target either! It's a shame, we used to love being here!

Nice rustic location. Directly on the Main cycle path just behind the Eddersheim lock. Small, cozy beer garden and a perfect map for cyclists or walkers. Attentive and nice service. The highlight for me - the bread fries with hand cheese sauce...!!!

Great service with, for us, excellent home-style cuisine. The whole thing with a traditional Hessian touch and a nice beer garden and view of the Main make it possible to ignore the difficult parking situation. In my opinion, the price/performance ratio is correct and reflects the quality of our food. Great place to visit and we would love to come back.

Very nice location with friendly and attentive service. The atmosphere is very quaint and cozy. The food was very good, especially the fries are recommended as a side dish. We had 7 different dishes and we all enjoyed it very much, without exception. We also felt full with the large portions.

It's nice to sit outside, hand cheese salad was delicious, sausage salad too, but 4 half slices of bread for 2 sausage salad and hand cheese salad were a bit small, not exactly cheap for the small hand cheese salad 9.50. But it tasted good.

Gladly 5 stars because the food is delicious and the service is great. You can sit nicely outside. There should be something on the menu for every taste. Fans of hand cheese can look forward to some interesting variations. A little tip: have some fruit (loquat) after your meal.

It was perfectly grilled to the desired doneness (medium-rare) and had a nice crust that made for a great taste experience. **Quality:** The quality of the meat was remarkable. The steak was tender, juicy and flavorful. You could tell that emphasis is placed on high-quality ingredients here. **Value for money:** For the quality and taste of the dish, the price was absolutely justified. It was an all-round successful dining experience that I can only recommend to every steak lover. I will definitely come back!

Finding this restaurant was a real pleasure. It felt welcoming, authentic and inviting from the moment we laid sight on its facade and outside beer garden. The indoor restaurant with the bar was comfortable clean and the service by waitress, Nina was exceptional. The food served is fresh, authentically made, large portions and tastes delicious! 5 STAR recommendation.

Great and beautifully located restaurant right next to the Main. The rustic furnishings ensure that you immediately feel welcome. The service staff was also very courteous, nice and very quick, even though the restaurant was busy! The steak we ordered also tasted excellent and was prepared as requested! The nicest service I have ever experienced. I had schnitzel with asparagus and potatoes and a side salad. The salad was good, I was just missing a little caramelized grains. Asparagus with schnitzel was very good, but the schnitzel was far too little. Well-intentioned 4.5 stars rounded up to 5

Good food at a fair price. The waitresses are friendly and quick. There was only space left in the beer garden. Everything in the restaurant was fully booked, which usually speaks for its popularity.
