Yesterday we went to Osteria Manu, a small, cozy restaurant in the Hattersheim City Museum, for the first time for their "Tuscan Evening" with a themed menu. The service from the friendly and cheerful staff was excellent, and we felt very comfortable. The menu with wine pairings was a truly unique experience. We will definitely be back...

I ordered two pinsas for pickup and was unfortunately disappointed. Upon opening the package, I immediately noticed an unpleasantly sour smell. This smell was also clearly reflected in the taste, leading me to suspect that one of the ingredients might have been spoiled. I had to throw the pinsas away as a result. This is especially disappointing because my first experience with them was excellent, and the pinsas were truly delicious, which is why I ordered them a second time. From my personal perspective, the quality was unsatisfactory in this case. Others may have had different experiences, but I will unfortunately not be ordering from them again for the time being.

Small, cozy osteria. Little Italy in Hattersheim. Good service and delicious food. Looking for something other than your typical pizza? Try the pinsa, it's so good. Also highly recommended is the lasagna – all homemade, of course. Give it a try, it's worth it!

Delicious food, friendly and fast service, pleasant atmosphere

We were at the Osteria for a family celebration with about 35 people. The dining room was quite full. The pasta was delicious, including tortelloni with veal and chanterelle filling, and pasta with mushroom sauce (king oyster mushrooms, etc.). Unfortunately, we didn't have time to try their specialty, pinsa. The atmosphere was very pleasant and welcoming, with a friendly and attentive team.

I was there for the first time on December 9th, 2025, and was immediately impressed. Great atmosphere, friendly service, and "live cooking" because the kitchen is right behind the counter. The food was also perfect. We had octopus salad, bruschetta burrata, bread with pesto, spaghetti vongole, rigantoni with 'nducha and ricotta, and spaghetti with ragù. Everything was delicious.

It was absolutely fantastic. The location is incredibly cozy and the food is absolutely delicious. When you sit inside, you're right next to the chef and can chat with him. This creates a wonderfully intimate atmosphere. I highly recommend this restaurant and will definitely be back.

We went there for the first time and were thrilled. The food was very good for me – exactly my taste. The menu offered "almost" everything for me. It was a bit misleading that some dishes were offered as daily specials (without a price). When asked why this was the case, the only answer was that the dishes from the blackboard were also on the menu. They don't know why, or at least couldn't explain. It's strange! Nevertheless, the many waiters were very friendly, albeit sometimes a bit uncoordinated. The downsides were: 1. There were no side dishes (except salad) with the meat. 2. Some of the tables were so inconveniently placed that several people were always staring at the wall. 3. There were a lot of loud children present. But without children, there's no future – so everything was perfect! I highly recommend the Osteria. We really enjoyed it.

The bruschetta was truly excellent and a great side dish. My triangles with mascarpone and lime sauce were surprisingly good, even though I don't usually like triangles, but they're really filling. The pinsa was very large and well-filled, so it was more than filling. The drinks were also worth it, and we had a great anniversary at the restaurant. It was very quiet, and the outdoor area is covered with a parasol in the summer. The cheese could have been presented a bit better, rather than simply in a cup, but that's probably something you can overlook. The owners and servers were also very polite, despite the warm weather.

If spaghetti arabiata (spaghetti with tomato sauce) costs the same as a 250g rump steak at the Italian restaurant Tropea, I think that's a grossly excessive price. Where's the formula "cost of goods multiplied by four"?

Fantastic italian cuisine (even when comparing to Frankfurt restaurants) and the second best Tiramisu I ever had (after one in Italy).

I had a great dinner there with friends! The service is super nice and fast. The place is new and tastefully designed and the food was really tasty with fresh ingredients from Italy, I felt just like I was in Italy...I personally shared some Italian antipasti, ordered pinsa and profiterol with pistachios, and some pasta tried it 🤭 I can only recommend it.

As an Italian I must say that it is the restaurant that cooks non-typical Italian dishes in an excellent way. I went on January 4, 2025 for the first time, and I have to say that the quality is super. I ate a truly super dish of fresh homemade spaghetti with truffle and porcini mushrooms. Too bad it's outside the center of Frankfurt, otherwise I would go every day. Recommended

Very tasty homemade food and very nice team! The only thing I would recommend is to install a few noise protection parts on the ceiling as it is already quite loud.

I received a voucher as a gift Valid until August 2024. Now the man on the phone told me that it had actually expired. But he probably has no idea about law. According to the OLG, the following applies: A business that limits the gift voucher for a purchase of goods to one year. In this case, a validity period of only one year represents an unreasonable disadvantage for consumers. (Munich Higher Regional Court; judgment of January 17, 2008 (29 U 3193/07) and judgment of April 14, 2011 (29 U 4761/10)). For me this means: If the validity period is too short, the voucher can be redeemed until the statute of limitations expires - i.e. the three years mentioned above. But it's probably necessary. Goodwill would be good advice here. Unfortunately, I can't and won't buy anything here anymore.

We were spontaneously there for lunch on Sunday: the Pinsa are really recommended for the eyes and mouth. Requests for changes were responded to very flexibly and the atmosphere in the restaurant is very pleasant. Thank you for the lovely stay 😁

I had gnocchi with truffles, a recommendation from the house. Unfortunately there was no sign of truffles, only small black dots had shot through the gnocchi. The gnocchi was filled with a cold sand-like center. I would have liked at least a few slices of fresh truffle, which is what the price should actually give. The Osteria is open until 10 p.m. and chairs were put out at 9:30 p.m Tables were set up, even though there were still around 10 of us present. I've never experienced that anywhere before

Yesterday I was at Casale Mario for the first time and what can I say: I was excited. That certainly wasn't the last time. There were two of us and we both ate a pinsa and a small salad together. That was really plenty. The pinsa is super tasty. The dough is a poem. The service and the owner were really nice. An absolute asset for Hattersheim.

Must try neighbours !!! I hardly give 5/5 for any restaurants. No matter how much I want to give 4 but ending up giving 4+ since they made our day when we visited on a very special occasion. Food -4.5/5. We ordered Tortellini, Tiramisu, red primitive igt wine, lasagne bolognese. Tortellini made our day it was mind blowing , soothing , and lasagne was the best I have had till date. Wine was of very good quality and Tiramisu was so fresh and mouth watering. We wanted only vegetarian that day so choose this restaurant since there were lot of veg options. I had seen tortellini(without knowing the name) in photos but it was neither in the menu nor in their that days notepad among the available dish. With my broken German while I was enquiring about the dish and was told not Available, chef stepped in and told he can prepare that happily for us. He even asked our veg preference and added mushroom to it. I will never forget this taste. Oh that butter & Basil ! Only reason for 4.5 is few of the tortellinis were not fully boiled /raw in some inner sections, wish they boil it evenly. Staff/service- 5/5 - we had pre-booked a table. Though I cannot speak German and except 1 all their staff speak don’t speak English, I felt so comfortable communicating with most of them right from the time I called for reservation till we left the place. They all had smiles on them and made us feel language is not a barrier. Wonderful patience level with me not knowing the language + not knowing the dishes name + being vegetarian that day :) Ordering/food preparation time - it took approx 20 minutes for our main course but it was worth the wait since they prepare freshly. Ambience- 5/5 lovely ambience, cosy, nice music played. Rest room available. Location - this is walkable distance from s bahn station and few steps away from bus stop.

We are always magically drawn to Casale Mario Osteria, our culinary neighbor. Within walking distance, with fair prices and quality that enchants us every time. Everything is freshly prepared and the menu offers both tried-and-tested classics and daily specials that surprise us every time. Casale Mario is a charming gem, a place for a maximum of 30 guests, in one or two conditions depending on the day of the week and the chef. Everyone is very friendly and the chef, a true kitchen magician, single-handedly creates incredible dishes. When he has a break, he personally visits the guests, chats about the food or recommends one of his exquisite wines from his Italian home village. On our last visit we were absolutely thrilled with the wines. It's not a classic restaurant, but the boss does everything he can to make it seem like one - and at very good prices 👍 Other restaurants in Hattersheim are either not good and expensive or good and expensive. But with Mario the price-performance ratio is just right - inexpensive and excellent, it fits into this gap in the market. Last Saturday we went there again, this time with friends who live nearby and had never been to Mario's before. Of course we had reservations. Our special order of Pinsa, beef with salad, was to die for. And what would an Italian meal be without tiramisu for dessert, followed by limoncello and grappa, simply wonderful! It was a fantastic evening and all of our friends were completely satisfied. How great that we have Mario in our neighborhood! 😊

No more than 3 stars. Food was tasty, nothing special, but good. Unfortunately, the service is not good. The lady was not only overwhelmed by the amount of individual bills we had (payment took forever and was very inconvenient) but she also paid full prices for a mixed starter plate - the price/performance ratio was in no way justified. Unfortunately we weren't asked for dessert either. Nice location, good food, but not good service. Parking was also a bit of a hit and miss.

Eine der ersten kulinarischen Adressen in Hattersheim! Wir haben hier u.a. einen Geburtstag mit 18 Personen gefeiert. Obwohl die Osteria an dem Abend gut besucht war, hatten wir als Gruppe einen hervorragenden Service und das Essen, inklusive der riesigen Vorspeiseplatten schmeckte vorzüglich. Da wir draußen sitzen konnten, hatten wir ein bisschen das Gefühl einer Feier in Italien (trotz Hattersheim;-)). Gracie Mario und deinem Team.

Der Service war leider wenig freundlich, das Essen nur mittelmäßig. Die Pinsa war ziemlich durchgeweicht und fad gewürzt. Pfeffer wurde nicht angeboten, stand auch nicht auf dem Tisch. Der Salat war sehr übersichtlich und das Dressing bestand ausschließlich aus etwas Balsamico. Preis/Leistung passt /überzeugt überhaupt nicht.

Eine liebenswerte Lokation. Sehr guter Service und sehr freundlich. Speisekarte mal etwas anders aber ausgewählte Angebote. Preis und Leistung stimmt und wir besuchen die Osteria wieder gerne.
