The Mokkabar is a place where coffee lovers and gourmets alike feel at home! Not only does it serve excellent coffee, but it also offers a variety of delicious dishes. The homemade spaetzle is a highlight, as are the Penne Mokkabar and the fresh vegan ravioli. For those with a sweet tooth, there's the Tartufo Affogato and the classic apple strudel. The salads, such as the arugula salad with salmon and the beetroot salad, are fresh and delicious. And for those who prefer something stronger, there's gin and tonic and Vodka Red Bull. The Mokkabar is a must for anyone seeking good food and atmosphere! 😊👍

The dinner we had was great, service was very friendly and happy to cater. Atmosphere is great and the location on a very pleasant tree rich lane makes for a nice, comfortable and enjoyable evening out.

Lovely, kind and attentive staff. Food is good, but definitely overrated for an Italian restaurant rated 4,9 stars. Careful going there if you are an immigrant or a tourist and are actively speaking another language, it’s a German dominated clientele, we sadly got harassed and by two women in the table next to us who yelled at us saying that we are in Germany and it was impolite for me to try to file my nail that had just broken and was hurting after I had already finished my meal. 2 men from the other table started yelling at us as well saying “if this was my restaurant we would kick you out”. Sadly the staff and everyone saw all of this happen and did absolutely nothing about it. Not okay to fix a broken nail after your meal is finished in your own table, but apparently it’s fine for people to smoke while others are eating. I’m in remission from cancer and had to deal with the same people who harassed me blowing smoke in my face

I had a delicious breakfast and I enjoyed it so much that I didn't have to. I also really liked the prices, 10-15 per person ❤️

I went to this place today for brunch and, as with my previous visits, it was a great experience. There is always a very good selection of breakfast and lunch options, with something for every taste. The service is fast, and the staff is friendly and welcoming, which makes the whole visit even more enjoyable. Everything was smooth, and I really liked the overall vibe. I will definitely keep coming back.

The food itself is very good, but unfortunately allergens are not really visible on the menu and there are few gluten-free dishes, for example.

Stick to the beer please. Cocktails are not that good.

Nice café, However, I found the selection on the plate to be too crowded. The egg yolk was leaking, and next to it was the tofu and a piece of orange... There were three of us dining, and not all of the bread baskets from the menu were set out for all three of us...

Food was really nice - everyone enjoyed and it arrived quickly. Lost a star as they didn’t have the item I wanted so had to be replaced but they said quite last minute. The service was friendly and accommodating considering we were 6 people. Price was ok.

Top-notch - for years now 👌 Best coffee, best breakfast, best team, and best value for money 👍 Unfortunately, it's often quite full - reservations are definitely recommended! The decor is quaint and elegant, the food is delicious, the portions are generous - and outside, the noise of the world drifts by... 9:15 is my favorite breakfast time, before the crowds arrive 😎 But the lunch and dinner menus are also highly recommended 👌 I'd be happy to come back anytime 🙏 Thank you, the mokkabar team!

Very lackluster service and unappetizing food + drinks

I was with my 8-year-old daughter, and they made us wait a long time. We finally ordered, waited an hour for our food, and we saw other tables that arrived after us being served. When I questioned them, they said something had happened to our order, but I didn't get an apology or anything. Finally, our food arrived with burnt fried eggs. When I complained, they changed them and brought half-raw eggs. I don't know if they were racist, but the table next to us was treated very well and kept asking if everything was okay. Overall, a terrible experience.

A place to feel good! The Mokkabar is one of those places where you feel welcome. Whether it's breakfast in the morning, a coffee in the afternoon, or a small snack with friends in the evening – it's always cozy. The team is friendly, the owner is often there himself, open for a chat, and interested in his guests. Highly recommended!

Breakfast was plentiful and of good quality. I didn't eat again until the evening. I would gladly return.

The blonde waitress is absolutely unacceptable; she's unpleasant, unprofessional, and incredibly rude. A very nice bar, but they really need to be careful who they hire. If I were the owner, I would have fired her long ago.

Very nice atmosphere and very pleasant, friendly staff. You feel welcome. We particularly liked the combination of restaurant and bar, which means you can eat and then relax in peace to drink and chat. A little more vegan choice in the food would be great, otherwise it was delicious :) Nice decor, nice light, good music and not too loud! You can have a good time, which is not so easy in many restaurants and bars. We'll be back - thank you!

It was so great! Incredibly beautifully decorated plates with all sorts of good things. The service was super friendly and helpful! Price-performance ratio was also great! We were a group of 10 people and everyone was thrilled.

The food was abundant but of average quality. Good music. Very friendly. When we went it was cold and I had to put on a blanket because the door was wide open and there was no heat. There are other bars very close, much better and with better value for money.

We were a very large group, had made reservations in advance and everything had been prepared for us. When ordering, the waitress was determined and, with the help of colleagues, brought almost everything to the table at the same time and we actually ordered half the menu. From sandwiches, scrambled eggs, egg tarts and rolls, savory and sweet, everything is there and everything is fantastically prepared and very tasty. The homemade lemonade is also very tasty, I liked the “strawberry-pineapple” best. Requesting extra coffee wasn't a problem and the value for money was definitely right here. We'd love to come back.

The two of us had breakfast at Mokkabar and it was really great! The breakfast platter was very rich and lovingly prepared, and there was freshly squeezed orange juice - simply delicious. The atmosphere was totally pleasant and cozy. The staff was also super friendly and attentive. We'll definitely be back!

The ambience is beautiful, very cozy and very stylish. The drinks and the Kaiserschmarren were very tasty, but I think the price of €15.50 is a bit too much for a Kaiserschmarren. The service was super nice and very attentive.

I always come by for brunch. When I was there for the first time, I thought to myself “Hmm, maybe a bit expensive”. But then when the food came, it was so much food and beautiful too! It's definitely worth it. The atmosphere is very pleasant and the staff is nice too.

Was here with colleagues for a work breakfast. Highly recommended. Great selection. We had 3 different versions of the breakfast offer, all 3 of which were very tasty. Always with fresh fruit and vegetables. Definitely recommended!

I've been trying to eat at your place regularly for years, but as soon as even a few tables are occupied, it just takes an incredibly long time. So long that I no longer feel like eating. I just wanted to give you another chance, but you couldn't do it again. The service was super friendly, but the kitchen seems to have a logistics problem. It's a shame, I left again on an empty stomach. Update 2025: I tried again. Again in vain. Reserved a table online, called later but couldn't be reached. I was lucky to arrive with two hungry children, but no, despite confirmation there was no table. It's incredible that you still exist.

Been here several times, service always friendly, attentive, which is not a given. The dishes come very quickly, regardless of breakfast or dinner, even if the restaurant is busy. Thumbs up, we'll be happy to come back.

It's worth a visit in the morning, especially for the breakfast offerings! However, it is best to reserve a place online in advance for certain events or meetings :)

Excellent food at surprisingly affordable prices for years (especially the lunch menu). The service was always good, so I can't understand some of the negative reviews. If it's too crowded in summer, just stop by another time - it's normal that something can go wrong. In my opinion, by far the best restaurant in the Bergmannkiez.

Nestled in Kreuzberg, heralded as one of Berlin’s coolest neighborhoods, this place is one of my favorite places in the city. Everything here is done thoughtfully and the service is equally impressive. I have been here and tried many things from their menu, and time and again I have not been disappointed. Definitely worth the visit.

Everything is a disaster. My muesli tasted salty and the fruit tasted like onions. The request that my fried egg should be fried well was not taken into account because I am pregnant and cannot eat it liquid. The egg was completely raw. The waiter spoke to me in English the whole time, even though I told her several times that I understood German. Slightly provocative. Unfortunately, in the end we realized too late that we were sitting in the wrong café. Really not recommended, there are definitely better cafes.

Very unfriendly and lackluster service. My companion had a nut allergy and despite repeated requests, he received a nut cake. Staff reacted with little forbearance to the following allergic shock. Don't come back again.

It's very comfortable to sit here, the service is quick and very attentive, the food selection ranges from steak and hamburgers to pizza and pasta to salads. There are vegetarian dishes in all categories and a few fish dishes overall. The food is so good, the cocktails are very tasty.

Just had the rumpsteak. It was a very generous portion and cooked perfectly! Couldnt have done it better myself. Service was slow and a bit inattentive because I was solo, but they were super nice and they were busy so its expected. Would 100% come again

We made a reservation online and it was canceled 10 minutes in advance. We were almost in front of the store, they just said the system doesn't recognize whether it's full or not, sry! Impossible! Why do you have an online reservation system if it doesn't work anyway?!

Service moderately friendly. However, they were thrown out after 2 hours (reservation time was over) without it being communicated when making the reservation that there was a time limit at all!! We had to down the coffee quickly. Too bad. Never again.

Really nice spot in Berlin, we had the breakfast plate. More than anything our service was superb, Fio was really friendly and attentive which made the whole experience great. Definitely recommend!

A cozy restaurant with a large and good selection from breakfast to dinner. The drinks menu is also varied with cocktails or homemade lemonades. The club sandwich was very tasty and plentiful.

Always tasty, always friendly and despite the proximity to the street you can easily sit outside. A big compliment to the price-performance ratio!! With so much fresh and the quality of the products, the portions always remained large!

One of the most beautiful breakfast places in Kreuzberg - we have been coming to the Mokkabar for years. Last weekend I celebrated my birthday there with 8 friends. Because our reserved table wasn't immediately available, we got a round of drinks on the house - customer friendliness is a priority here.

Breakfast good and price reasonable. Drinks are relatively expensive like everywhere else. Always well attended on weekends. There is no table without a reservation.

Unfortunately I had to have a VERY bad experience! We actually really enjoy coming. So a table for two was reserved today for the birthday brunch (that's what was said on the phone). Unfortunately, we were greeted very grumpily and looked at questioningly about the reservation. Rolling our eyes, we were then offered a table directly behind the front bar counter under the coffee machine (very loud and the drinks are put there). Unfortunately, the feeling was conveyed that we were not welcome and that we were a nuisance. That hasn't happened to us yet - especially here. In the end we were just left standing and then left (although we were quickly shown another table as we were leaving, we could only have had it for a very short time). Unfortunately we won't be coming any more for now. I wouldn't recommend making reservations there for specific events at the moment. The disappointment is/was very big.

Unfortunately, the reservation didn't work because the app doesn't work on site. The staff were very helpful and friendly but were unable to allocate a space due to the double occupancy. We moved on hungry...

This place is amazing. The food is so delicious and the restaurant has a lovely atmosphere. Our server was so friendly and helpful despite us not knowing German. We visited two days in a row for breakfast. The breakfast for two could easily feed three or four :-)

Clean, friendly, tasty and worth the price. The whining of other contributors here is incomprehensible. We are here in Berlin Kreuzberg and not in a 5 star restaurant in Dubai. I can only advise every complainer to spend a day as a worker in the catering industry. Chef, service, bar, they are all just people and mistakes sometimes happen. If you have guests who think they are little gods because they leave a little fuss in a restaurant, it will be difficult to remain friendly in the long term. Maybe you will meet the staff on an equal level and not directly with devaluation. And no, I don't work at the mokkabar, I'm here as a guest and I'm happy! ☆☆☆☆☆

Our food took an hour to come out because the waitress sent the order in 20 minutes after we already ordered and the were very neglectful of my boyfriend and I even after they forgot to send in our order. The food was okay but they even forgot some parts after all that. Did not feel welcomed there, maybe because we are tourists.
