Directly on the Kiel Fjord. Very beautiful and relaxing.

€8.80 for only 4 small cubes of fish. Instead, there was double the amount of remoulade, which only tasted like remoulade and was already greasy. The fries were great.

The herring rolls were good and tasted different, but the herring was very sweet. Unfortunately, the fish flavor was somewhat overpowered. The rolls were fresh and delicious. The service was exceptionally friendly.

We were only there for a drink, but the atmosphere with the sandy beach and beach chairs was simply cozy. Definitely worth a visit.

If you're in the mood for a "fish roll with a twist," you have to go there... And if you're not, that's fine too ;-) It has nothing to do with the classic herring roll. But the ambiance, the staff, and of course, what really matters at the end of the day: the food... TOP!!! We'll be back every time we're here! Thank you for the top-notch fish roll!

Fish and chips in Kiel - for 13 euros per person Not cheap but a large and tasty portion with salad and tartar sauce. Great location by the water. Staff in a good mood despite the high volume of customers. Tip: plan to wait a while for your food and enjoy the atmosphere.

On April 8, 2025, we got a taste of the fresh sea air in the best weather and visited Moby (location selected online in advance) with friends. Everyone had something different. The quality of the food (a lot of it made in-house) is VERY GOOD, the ingredients are very local and the taste is very, very tasty. The ambience is GRANDIOS, we had the row of benches with a frontal view of the fjord, we will definitely come back, even if we have to sit on the train for 8 hours to visit Kiel. Maybe next time we'll just plan an overnight stay.

Perfect for a relaxed coffee, a fish sandwich, fries or much more in the fresh air! :) Also highly recommended if you want to warm up with a hot drink before swimming!

Ambience and location top! I wouldn't eat here again, the fried fish was dry and the fish cake was bland. Too bad!

Located directly on the keel line, take a break after a walk. Sitting in a beach chair and enjoying some snacks or drinks with a view of the water, it couldn't be better. The food is delicious, the team is super nice and always has fun. Keep it up.

very cool bar with a view of the fjord, lots of beach chairs available. Staff always friendly, very good mix of guests. Very pleasant atmosphere! Food so far has been well above average. Self-service, payment is only made by card. Be careful: hungry seagulls :)

This is a nice food stand with amazing seating. The prices are a little high and you can get better fish and chips at nearby stands. On nice days it gets super busy, so you will have to stand in line and may not get a seat. All in all a great place.

Always delicious coffee and hot chocolate, also available with oat milk. And the staff are very friendly.

Even if the weather wasn't particularly good, you can still take a break here. Our food, fish of course, was very tasty, the staff was very friendly and we would love to come back.

It was my first time there - I can't judge the food and service because it was self-conditioned and I only had something to drink. Very, very great drinks with an even better ambience right on the water. We will definitely come back when we are in Kiel again! ❤️

Nice snack bar on the promenade with lots of outdoor seating, including beach chairs. Had "Haihappen" (fish & chips)... tasty and good portion for a snack.

I was invited for a portion of fries and a beer. The fries were top class, I can really recommend them - + you don't have to pay extra for ketchup and mayo! The ambience directly on the Kiellinie is of course unbeatable! People like to sit here and even for a little longer. The staff is very friendly. The only thing that was annoying was that our counter staff did too much “phishing for tip”. My companion was angry and therefore didn't give a tip! Nevertheless, I will come here again. ;-)

You have to wait 1 hour for fries

Until we got the chance to try something here, it was always closed before official opening hours. It attracts a strange crowd here. That's nothing for us.

Moby... always good, in every season. Linger on the keel line, have a snack, soup, fish and chips...whatever. I really enjoy being here.

Enjoyed a delicious cappuccino in the freezing cold. There are heaters under the parasols. A dream to enjoy the Cappo from here and look at the water.

Very friendly service and nice atmosphere but because of the fish rolls, the focus is very little on fish, a lot of rolls less fish. Priced but reasonable.

If you want a classic fish roll then you've come to the wrong place. The grain roll was great, but the cream cheese and apple didn't make sense for my taste. In addition, there was relatively little fish in the roll.

The fried fish roll was very 😋. Can recommend. The Ostseekai is also good for walking.

You sit directly on the keel line and have a wonderful view. We drank coffee here and sat in a lounge chair. Almost like a vacation.

It was bitterly cold, but we still sat for a long time in the few rays of January sunshine. The view is of course priceless, but the fish sandwich is also significantly better than average. Just the fact that they are grain rolls - finally! But the fish was also special in terms of taste and consistency. And the relaxed nature of the service tops it all off! I have a special memory of it

Had a really tasty fish sandwich today. Service was friendly, but shouldn't point out to customers that there is a tip button when paying by card. If the quality is right, I'm happy to give it. It sounded more like begging.

Without any ifs and buts the best fish sandwich I've eaten so far. No pre-made mass-produced goods, every fish roll is freshly topped, not in a flabby wheat roll, but in a toasted fresh grain roll. Plus a cold Lille Hell, simply heavenly. Plus three super friendly girls behind the sales counter. Everything fits perfectly!

Fish & Chips is highly recommended, only the annoying seagulls bother you.

MOBY is now a permanent address for us. We are regularly in Kiel at the UKSH and one goal is to escape everyday hospital life. Here you can find the best fish sandwiches in the entire Kiel line. Freshly prepared with North German charm. It always takes a while until the order is ready, but as the saying goes: “Good things take time!”

Unfortunately too loud, too expensive, and only card payment possible after you have chosen one of the tip options and that's self-service! The tables and beach chairs were dirty and sticky, the store is simply overrated.

The food is clearly overrated, I've eaten better fried fish. And the red wine matjes from the fishmonger I trust (in Wilhelmshaven) definitely taste better. The whole group agreed on that. And when you pick up the food (Fish & Chips for €12.80) and are told that the porcelain bowls are all on the way and then you realize that the portions in these porcelain bowls are significantly larger than the ones that were handed out to you in the cardboard bowls, then only the view is consoling.

Top fish dishes (especially fish n chips and the fish cake) in a relaxed beach chair atmosphere right on the water - absolutely recommended!

I immediately felt at home in the Moby Kiosk. The friendly service and the relaxed atmosphere invite you to linger. The fish sandwiches are really exceptionally tasty and the portions are generous. The fish sandwich with herring is particularly recommended – a real classic! But the other varieties are also impressive. Add an ice-cold Fritz Kola and the snack is perfect. The location right on the water is of course a big plus, so you can always watch the hustle and bustle on the water. I'll definitely be back to try out the other offerings on the menu.

Sometimes too much shouting from the employees, who not only shout the pick-up code, but also the entire menu... It's really annoying. Otherwise you can almost enjoy yourself here.
