Top fish dishes (especially fish n chips and the fish cake) in a relaxed beach chair atmosphere right on the water - absolutely recommended!

The food is clearly overrated, I've eaten better fried fish. And the red wine matjes from the fishmonger I trust (in Wilhelmshaven) definitely taste better. The whole group agreed on that. And when you pick up the food (Fish & Chips for €12.80) and are told that the porcelain bowls are all on the way and then you realize that the portions in these porcelain bowls are significantly larger than the ones that were handed out to you in the cardboard bowls, then only the view is consoling.

I immediately felt at home in the Moby Kiosk. The friendly service and the relaxed atmosphere invite you to linger. The fish sandwiches are really exceptionally tasty and the portions are generous. The fish sandwich with herring is particularly recommended – a real classic! But the other varieties are also impressive. Add an ice-cold Fritz Kola and the snack is perfect. The location right on the water is of course a big plus, so you can always watch the hustle and bustle on the water. I'll definitely be back to try out the other offerings on the menu.

Sometimes too much shouting from the employees, who not only shout the pick-up code, but also the entire menu... It's really annoying. Otherwise you can almost enjoy yourself here.

When ordering, a meal slipped through - annoying. But the food itself was delicious, the drinks were delicious and the location right on the fjord was always great👏👏🤩🤩

Best homemade tartar sauce! And big enough/sufficient folding deck chairs that you can usually find a spot.

Matjesbrötchen had more salad than fish and didn't taste particularly good. Beer tasted like Alster, sweet. The shouting from the fish sellers when you have to pick up the goods you ordered is just annoying. Only card payment possible. Apparently the credit card didn't work, but you could pay in cash. The view is excellent because it's right on the water. However, access only via a very high level. Be careful, we saw an elderly lady fall.

Great location! The fries were very tasty and so were the fish rolls - but unfortunately the fish cake was cold. The service was super friendly and the view was perfect.

Super friendly there, nice on the keel line with a view of the fjord, only there could be more fish alternatives, with regard to overfishing, not just the Baltic Sea.

It's pretty nice, but everyone is informed about the tip option when paying. “(…)Or you just don’t give a tip, then you press it” I find it super inappropriate... And that in a self-service shop where you just pick up everything and leave. If I take 2 Fritz drinks to go for €4 each, do I still have to beg for a tip? Wow.

The fish rolls were really very tasty, the best I have ever eaten in my entire life, even my mother said it was the best fish roll. About the fish sandwich, the fish was of good quality and was also very well pickled. The sauce was also homemade and there was no skimping on good ingredients. The quality of the bread (I had wholemeal) was really good, as a person who bakes bread myself, it's really nice, especially because nowadays people are unfortunately used to the fact that other fish rolls usually only have the baked wheat roll... There were also other components on the fish roll that took the taste to another level, so we also had apple and salad as well as classic onions on it, this composition really made the fish roll very good. Finally, back to the staff, they are really very friendly and you can tell that they all enjoy their jobs.

Super tasty fish & chips (€12) and stremella salmon rolls. Great atmosphere with beach chairs. To pick up, a secret word is called out from the order. I had the word Escalibur. I thought that was quite nice. Our cheesecake (€3.5) also tasted good. Gladly again.

We always love being here by the water and we really like it in the Moby. Unfortunately we only get beer, wine, etc. from 3:30 p.m., so we had to celebrate our birthday somewhere else to toast. Which we found very unfortunate.

CARD PAYMENT ONLY!! AN IMPUDENCE! The food was better too! Coffee, too expensive! Bad beer from Lillebräu Kiel, not tasty for me!

A very suitable place to enjoy the sun. We took our beers and fish & chips plate and settled on the sun loungers. Even though it was a crowded Friday and we had to wait in a long line to order, I can say that we got the reward.

Fish and chips with a cola, the fries are awesome, the remulade and cole slaw are also awesome and the quality of the fish is also great. The only thing that bothers me is that there are only 5 pieces. I think there should be at least 7-10 pieces. The relationship to the fries is otherwise not right 😀 that's why I'm deducting a star from food

I don't know if it's always been bad luck for me - after all, the food is often highly praised. But my food has always been completely over salted and inedible. I gave Moby a chance three times. Every time I had fish sandwiches, and once there were also fries. I like salt. Lots of salt. Salt is delicious! But it already burned my mouth and made my eyes water. Apart from the food, the location is of course 1A. Accordingly, the rush is high and the orders are sometimes a bit busy. Seating options in a deck chair or beach chair in the sand underline the maritime flair.

The service was friendly, but the preparation took a while and the food wasn't tasty. We had fried fish in a roll and for €7 per portion we got 4 small fried fish pieces warmed up from the freezer, a few even with bones and no taste at all, the rolls were the highlight. A few meters away there are fish sandwiches for less money, but I can't say anything about the quality.

I've never eaten such a great fried fish sandwich! That might have been a treat! There really isn't much to tell. The food was really delicious. However, the organization should be reconsidered. A man pushed in front of two women and wanted the entire order. In my opinion, he could have been kindly informed that he also had to wait. But the food was delicious. Had a stremella salmon roll.

Fish sandwiches without fried herring are not possible. I've really been around a lot and almost always eat one or two fish sandwiches but that's just not possible. As a joke I then said, what's next, vegan fish sandwiches? And the girl smiled at me and said they did. Vegan fish cakes... I think I'm too old now. I've been here several times in the past and the ambience is great, as is the music and the service and no cash only card. It's really good but no fried herring doesn't work at all. In addition, the bun was warm and whole grain and the tartar sauce was too dry. With a fish sandwich, the fish should be the focus and not the side dishes. I had matjes as an alternative... Well, that's how it went. At least with apple 😂

The location looks very inviting to linger. Great job with the beach chairs and lounge chairs!! Unfortunately, a big negative point is the fact that you can only pay by card. The herring roll was not the burner. Lots of bread, little fish, no salad and apple pieces instead? In the future I would rather get my fish sandwich from Lange.

Super tasty fish sandwiches... it was worth the wait in line. We were rewarded with a great view of the water... what more could you want 🤗 It was also funny because "Wolle Petry" briefly became "Plate Petry" in order to be able to receive his food. Great concept...friendly service...great ambience. Keep it up...we'll come back next time we visit 😉

We had fish and chips Unfortunately hardly any fish! If you like fries with salad, you can order it. It was done excellently… The concept is good, but the price/performance ratio doesn't fit if the customer expects something more than "almost" just side dishes. A pity …. It was probably the last time, although I like to come to Kiel on a sailing yacht with a crew of 8-12 people.

Unfortunately, in my opinion, the quality here is continually decreasing, while the prices are rising disproportionately. The service is getting worse and there is less and less in the fish sandwich. I had such a small fillet in the herring roll that you couldn't even see it from the outside. When asked, they just said that they wouldn't put two fillets in anyway. I don't go here anymore and can only advise against eating here.

Although it is “just” a snack bar, it is one of the most beautiful and best fish snack bars on the fjord! With super-friendly employees! A lot of people know this, which is why it is usually very crowded on weekends! Tip: Jump into the fjord for a quick swim and then enjoy some delicious fish and chips with a white wine spritzer!

A stylish street food restaurant for fish dishes with beach chairs and counter seats like in a beach club, which looks very cozy. The organization with separate ordering and collection of food and drinks is great. The quality of the food makes up for the wait, everything is freshly prepared and you always have a smile for the customer. I had fish and chips which was super tasty, just a little more fish and fewer chips would have been good.

Leude, I ate the best herring roll of my life here. The rolls are fluffy and crispy. The sauces are very tasty and taste light. Don't let the cinnamon and cloves put you off, the red wine matjes is a dream. The pepper jack is also incredibly tasty. There are also delicious beers from Lillebräu. All the employees were very friendly. The price is absolutely fair, surprisingly cheap for the great location. Thank you very much dear Moby team ❤️
