Very tasty fish sandwiches and a beautiful location on the beach.

I definitely can't recommend the shop's vegetarian roll; it's hard to imagine a roll being thrown together more effortlessly. A chunk of feta cheese, a spoonful of pesto, and two uncut sun-dried tomatoes thrown into the cheapest supermarket roll... I don't know. The long and awkward explanation for why they only accept cash goes hand in hand with the responses to the other critical comments here: they've become entrenched in their approach and their views - come what may. Criticism is probably just silly comments from annoying customers. Customers who are annoying because they have different expectations than the usual Schilksee clientele.

If you love fish sandwiches, you're in good hands here.

Matjes sandwiches are good, but so far I think the ones at Ankerplatz in Grömitz are truly the best in Schleswig-Holstein. And there you can sit, preferably with a cappuccino, beer, or cocktail in hand, at a table overlooking the sea and Grömitz's marina.

The best herring roll in Schleswig-Holstein. The service is always very friendly, and the rolls are freshly baked. It's usually always busy. But when it's a bit quieter, you can also have a little chat. The ambiance is the Baltic Sea harbor with a view of the beach and the fjord. You're always in good company with your feathered friends. So, take good care of your roll. Whether before, after, or just for fun, a visit is always worthwhile.

The fried fish sandwich and the herring are a real treat. A definite recommendation! If we're ever in the area again, we'd love to come back.

Stayed here for 3 nights, got breakfast and lunch for 4 days in a row. I would do it again anytime. If you're coming to Schilksee to enjoy the lake and a delicious fish sandwich, this is the place for you. Everyone else, book a 5-star hotel and stay away, you grumpy "I've been waiting for my sandwich for 2 minutes" kind of people. Where do you start? Queue, okay, we knew that beforehand. Cash payment, no problem either. Display, also okay. Whether you have to sweep when the sandwiches are being filled is another matter. Gloves: okay, but if you rub your nose with them because something's been going on...then use your phone and then touch the shrimp with your thumb, you should reconsider the gloves. Better not to wear them and disinfect more often. The fish sandwich was okay, but nothing special for us. The fish lingered in our stomachs for a long time. We're not used to it. Okay for Schilksee, but it could be better. Too bad.

We first tried the Schilksee fish platter and the maritime tarte flambée with smoked salmon slices. To be honest, it wasn't that good. I wasn't even asked whether I wanted a fried herring or a pickled herring. The shrimp were too firm in texture, the smoked roll mob tasted good, but the fine bones were a bit unpleasant. I would have liked the fried potatoes; they smelled and looked very good, but they were covered in tons of fried rosemary needles. My bad luck—I can't stand it. The tarte flambée, unfortunately, wasn't that good. Afterward, I wanted to try the Schilksee special bread roll, which was very good. Conclusion: Better to order a fish roll.

I wanted to buy ice cream here today. I waited a bit because the two people in the store were busy with two foreigners. I then asked if they had ice cream, and the answer was yes. And in that spot. Only one star for that. You don't get half stars. 🤓 Addendum... I felt kind of stupid. You're supposed to tell customers where to line up, but there was no indication from either of them, so how was I supposed to know how it was done there? People after me didn't know either. You'd have to instruct your staff so they knew what was going on.

Hey! I've been living in Schilksee for a few months now, having recently "immigrated" from North Rhine-Westphalia. And, dear reader, one of the absolute highlights is the Goldfisch with its small and large culinary fish delicacies. Please definitely try them and bring friends/family along to indulge your palates. I think it's absolutely fantastic that I can now have these by no means commonplace treats as often as I want! At a price that's totally reasonable. And if the contents of the counter don't look pristine... so what? Where there's a planing, there's a shaving! And here, the "planing" is done to the highest standard! Anyone who's upset about that probably has nothing else to worry about? Anyone who appreciates quality knows a bit of a wait. That doesn't matter at all, because the reward follows in the mouth... and how!! What, by the way, is synonymous with the high quality of the food is the very individual and extremely warm-hearted, yet rugged manner that characterizes the North anyway. Regarding the fish sandwiches, the customer service, and the overall quality, including the reasonable prices, the owner and her excellent staff have my highest respect. However, the traffic volume of cyclists, who are increasingly less considerate of pedestrians, is a real problem. Older people, who are now able to weave through pedestrians at top speed on e-bikes, pose a greater danger than any seagull mentioned here. Why is cycling allowed there, and if so, why aren't there separate lane markings for cyclists and pedestrians? With the fish sandwich stand and the ferry dock, this area is busier in summer than the city's shopping area. And cycling isn't permitted there either. To top it all off, cars even occasionally drive into this square. Conclusion: The fish sandwiches are highly recommended, but be careful and quickly find a safe place to eat.

It couldn't be fresher. Juicy, tender, with a fine note of sea salt - as if he had been swimming through the water five minutes earlier. The Bismarck herring: perfectly marinated, with a balanced ratio of acidity and sweetness. The herring? Melts in your mouth like butter. And the fried fish? Crispy like something out of a picture book, baked golden brown and incredibly juicy on the inside. Every bite was a poem. The roll wasn't a carelessly sliced ​​roll - no, it was crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside and had just the right consistency to hug the star of the show - the fish - without overwhelming it. And the tartar sauce? Creamy, aromatic, with a secret blend of herbs that's probably better kept than Coca-Cola's recipe. These fish sandwiches are not a snack. They are an experience. We had to pay €1.50 more for fried fish without a roll than stated on the price list because we hadn't brought "a Tupperware container" with us, as HE said. DANGER !!!
