Severe hygiene deficiencies. The older employee handled and packed the fish without gloves. Beforehand, she had handled cash and operated the register with her bare hands. She ignored my pointing out that this was unhygienic – no explanation, no apology, and above all, a complete lack of awareness of the problem. Never again!

Fish sandwiches are okay. Nothing special in terms of taste. Fried fish sandwiches are often very greasy and not crispy. Unfortunately, the service from one employee was truly abysmal and beyond unfriendly. For me, it ruins the entire atmosphere because you constantly feel like you're not welcome as a customer. (Unfortunately, this isn't the first time this has happened.) I've never experienced such bad humor and unfriendliness, except for the Steiskal opposite. They could almost be siblings, at least from their behavior. I also find it unhygienic to wear your wedding ring in a job like this, where hygiene should be very high. Other colleagues try to compensate for this behavior; I hope they don't let this kind of behavior ruin the atmosphere. Dear Famila, perhaps this kind of behavior should be addressed 🫶🏻

I ordered in advance, but the next day my order couldn't be found. We stood there for what felt like a quarter of an hour without being served. Service is terrible!

Customers are served in an inappropriate tone, and it's conveyed nonverbally that they are not welcome. The other employees try to compensate for this bad mood.

Hey! I'm always impressed by the salads, all fresh and delicious. Today I bought a salmon skewer, still warm, and a cod fritter. Both were very, very tasty. I highly recommend them. What a rip-off!!! I paid €25 for two pieces of fish and chips with potato salad from a big bucket and two Cokes. That's more expensive than at the food stalls during Kiel Week!!!! I wanted to know why it was so expensive, and they even gave me a hard time!!! The young male employees were so arrogant and incompetent. And then the potato salad was full of eggs, it was practically an egg salad!!! The fish and chips themselves were okay.

At the server's recommendation, I ordered the homemade fried fish in a bun. Unfortunately, it was a bitter disappointment. The breading was hard and very fatty. The fish, while very juicy, was completely unseasoned and flavorless. Only the remoulade was noticeable. That makes any fish stall better.

The goods are very fresh and tasty - unfortunately the grumpy employees bother us every now and then. If you could switch that off, a top rating wouldn't be out of the question. That's why unfortunately only 3 stars out of five.

Wow, I'm always amazed. Our family in Flensburg definitely misses such a great and varied fish counter. Super nice staff. I always enjoy coming here when I'm in Kiel
