Due to water damage in our office, we quickly looked for new office furniture at Höffner. The advice we received from Ms. Schulz-Bomheuer was excellent – competent, friendly, and solution-oriented. We were presented with three different furniture sets and assured of fast delivery, as it was an emergency. We chose the set that was stated to be the quickest to deliver. Two weeks after signing the contract, we inquired about the delivery date by email (providing the purchase contract number and our official company address). We were given June 5, 2025. On that day, we tried in vain to reach someone by phone. Finally, we received the strange response that the delivery was part of a private purchase contract – which is completely untrue. When we tried to get clarification by phone, we were treated rudely by customer service. When we asked for the name of the person we were speaking to in order to file a complaint, the customer service representative simply hung up – with the words: "I'm not telling you anything." In desperation, we drove to the branch in person. There we met Mr. Enardu, who was friendly and helpful. He promised to find a solution. After several inquiries and discussions, we finally received information on June 18, 2025, that delivery could not take place until July 10, 2025 at the earliest – more than a month after the originally stated date. Conclusion: Despite good on-site advice, the processing and customer service in the subsequent period were disappointing and chaotic. This is absolutely not recommended for business customers who rely on reliable planning.

Competence is a top priority here. I ordered a couch online. On the first delivery date, they refused to carry the couch into my apartment as ordered. The drivers were also rude and disrespectful. On the second delivery date, the cover happened to have a very noticeable and straight cut. But at least the delivery drivers were friendly this time. If you don't want to deliver these things, you shouldn't offer to. I'm currently without a sofa for three weeks. That's how long I'm waiting for my new one. ...

We have now purchased several pieces of garden furniture from Höffner in Gründau-Lieblos. The advice from the gentlemen in the garden department was fantastic! They were patient, and every request was accommodated. Excellent advice. Even a repeat order over the phone was handled and completed perfectly. In October 2024, we purchased a sofa bed from Höffner – unfortunately, the experience was anything but smooth. Initially, we were delivered the wrong feet, which required two follow-ups before we received the correct ones. In December, when we used the sofa bed for the first time, we discovered that a caster had broken off – absolutely disappointing for a piece of furniture that was barely three months old. Our written complaint, including photos, was accepted, but the entire process dragged on for several months. Two repair attempts failed, after which we received a new sofa on May 24th. We also had to actively claim the €80 voucher promised with the purchase, which involved another trip to the furniture store. In the end, we were offered a discount – but this was initially calculated incorrectly, so we had to contact customer service again to get the missing amount. Even though the discount was ultimately granted, it far from compensated for the time and stress involved. We'd like to give a special mention to Ms. Varnholdt from customer service, who was friendly and helpful. Overall, however, the experience was frustrating and disappointing – we would have expected higher quality from a large furniture store.

I decided not to pick up the goods, but Höffner Köln Röstrath is showing absolutely no customer service in this situation. The goods are sitting there unused, and yet I'm being asked to pay cancellation fees – a completely unfair practice. Customer service is inflexible, unaccommodating, and seems as if customers are nothing more than a burden. That's how you drive away loyal customers. I will definitely not shop here again and strongly advise against using this location.

One piece of furniture arrived completely broken and had to be taken back by the deliveryman, and the tall bathroom cabinet is missing its back panel. I'm not happy about it, and one star is actually too many.

Disappointing Service Despite High-Quality Products We purchased two high-quality pieces of furniture from the furniture store, each costing a mid-four-figure sum. The originally promised delivery time was 8 to 10 weeks – a perfectly acceptable timeframe. Unfortunately, the delivery process turned into an extremely lengthy and frustrating experience. After 9 weeks, we contacted customer service to inquire about the status. The result: One piece of furniture was already ready for delivery, but for the second piece, there wasn't even a manufacturer order stored in the system. They promised to take care of it. Only now, in week 22, did we receive a response: The missing furniture would not arrive at the furniture store until week 27 at the earliest. We therefore requested that the already available piece be delivered in advance – however, the earliest possible date is week 26. The bottom line: The originally promised 8 to 10 weeks turned out to be at least 14 to 16 weeks – possibly even more. For furniture in this price range, such an unreliable process is absolutely unacceptable. The fact that a piece of furniture is "forgotten" and the customer has to repeatedly contact us to obtain information is an absolute no-go. We won't be buying from here again.

There are more staff here. As a customer, you get that feeling. However, when you ask someone something, the answers are rather rude and unprofessional. People would rather talk to each other than with the customers. Especially downstairs, where the small parts are. It's different at a furniture store; you're practically followed by salespeople and feel more like a nuisance. There seems to be a commission there. The furniture store itself is very nicely laid out. However, the staff needs a lot of training and perhaps some sorting out.

On May 26, 2025, we visited Höffner Rösrath to purchase a discounted Nolte chest of drawers. Unfortunately, the drawers and doors were covered in stickers that left marks. An employee wearing an "Express" logo reacted extremely rudely and disrespectfully when we asked for a solution. He accused us of trying to further drive down the price—which was not our intention—and refused to talk to us. He wouldn't let us discuss our concerns in peace, even in front of his friendly supervisor. After this experience, we will never buy anything from Höffner again.

I bought a sofa from this furniture store the day before yesterday. Unfortunately, the overall experience was rather disappointing. The employee who sold me the sofa seemed very snooty and didn't seem particularly keen to engage with me. The general impression of the staff wasn't much better either – one had the feeling that the employees wanted to have as little contact with customers as possible. The atmosphere was somewhat tense, almost as if the employees were dissatisfied or in the wrong place. When I discovered a minor defect on the sofa, the assistant store manager at least came over personally. He was friendly, took care of things, and even gave me a small discount – that was positive and defused the situation somewhat. Nevertheless, I still have mixed feelings: The product itself is fine, but the customer service leaves a lot to be desired. It's a shame, there could have been more. There were very good discounts.

Of course, they're happy to sell; they're friendly and understanding! Our closet was delivered last Thursday. Unfortunately, the fitters couldn't carry the closet walls upstairs. They said they needed to order a slanted crane to transport the walls through a window. We were supposed to organize this together with the seller – we'd have to place a contract for that. The seller was confused and wondered why the walls couldn't be carried upstairs. After hearing this, we (retired, 70 years young) set about carrying the walls upstairs – and we succeeded! Since then, the closet parts have been in the designated room, and other parts are stored in our garage, awaiting assembly. If you think Höffner will contact you to discuss the further details, you're on the wrong track. Emails are supposedly forwarded, but the recipient denies it?!? The customer service representative simply hung up after we disagreed with the fact that we now had to wait another two weeks for assembly – a total of three weeks waiting time for assembly alone!!! Actually a nice furniture store, but due to the poor customer service, it's no longer an option for us. If I post this review, I'm sure I'll get a run-of-the-mill response – we can do without it!

I would like to express my deep dissatisfaction with my recent experience with your company, which was disappointing by any measure. After more than four months of waiting, the employee arrived to install the cabinet at an unconventional time (2 p.m. instead of the stated timeframe of 7 a.m. to 1 p.m.). Upon arrival, he treated me inappropriately, refused to give me five minutes to clear some obstacles, and left without completing the work, which further increased my frustration after this long wait. I communicated with customer service several times without an effective response or resolution to the problem, which reinforced my feelings of neglect and lack of appreciation as a customer. Unfortunately, this is not the first incident. I previously received a sofa in a different color than the one I ordered, and after waiting two and a half months, I have been waiting for a replacement for more than two and a half months, with no progress or clarification. I demand fair compensation for the psychological and material damage suffered, in addition to an immediate resolution of these problems, with a clear commitment to the agreed deadlines and specifications. I hope to give a serious response this time.

At the end of November 2024, I ordered a bed and two nightstands. The expected delivery date was the end of February. After hearing nothing by the end of March, I called and was told that everything was there except the slatted frame. I waited another four weeks, inquired, and received the same answer. Then I received an interim response offering me a partial delivery!!!, i.e., a bed without a slatted frame!!! I then asked what they were thinking and was asked to be more polite. On May 19, 2025, my order was finally delivered and assembled, and due to the good quality of the furniture and the competent assembly team, I'm giving it 4 stars.

Incredibly bad customer service. A package for the new sideboard is missing. When you call, you're told you already have the highboard and they have the right to repair it. They can't say exactly when the missing package will be delivered. They'll call you on Monday, as it's the weekend. Warehouse in Porz and customer service in Saxony-Anhalt 🫣🫣🫣. That was the last time I'd go to this furniture store. I'd already had such trouble with the couch set, and at those prices 😡😡😡😡😡

Was here today because I wanted to buy a kitchen and other furniture. Unfortunately, there was no one to be found who could help, even though it was very empty on a Friday afternoon and the event was running until tomorrow. After I found someone and asked about a kitchen (after 1.5 hours in the kitchen department) I was told that if I wanted to plan a kitchen I had to make an appointment online, it just doesn't work that way. I would actually have liked to at least get some advice, because that's what a furniture store is actually there for and it was still over 3 hours until the store closed. I've bought a kitchen and almost a complete set of furniture here in the past, but if you're being dealt with like that (and obviously don't want to sell anything) I'm happy to go elsewhere in the future. It's a shame, because a few years ago the advice and service here was still very good!

Yesterday (May 4th, 2025) we were at Höffner in Cologne on a shopping Sunday. We made an appointment online with Mr. Kroll to plan a kitchen. Even though it was Sunday, I have to say: Mr. Kroll was friendly, interested and absolutely competent in his field. I've worked in retail for years - but I haven't experienced so much friendliness and competence in a long time! His manager also tried very hard to support us. Mr. Kroll, you are proof that it doesn't apply to everyone when people say that Germany is a service desert. Top job – and thank you for our dream kitchen! This furniture store has its really good sides and unfortunately also very bad sides. First, what I always liked: + The restaurant with delicious and sometimes very good price-performance ratio, the restaurant staff was also consistently nice and friendly, with a few notable exceptions. 4 stars here. + The range is gigantic and really invites you to be inspired, even if not everything suits you in terms of price. 4 stars for this. + The staff on the ground floor refrigerators/washing machines and remaining items department. Very nice people, don't ignore you, greet you nicely, 5 stars. and now the dark side that drags everything down: - Kitchen department: Only after a while, about a complete walk around the department at a strolling pace, will you be spoken to in a friendly manner as you pass by. About the course of the conversation: You always got the feeling that the gentleman had no interest in the consultation at all, rather it was this quick processing without more precise and detailed information with the note that you had to come back for more information. And in the end we neither saw a plan drawn up nor found out an exact price. In short, you could have saved yourself the 15 minutes of “pre-planning” a fictional kitchen. Who knows, maybe I was actually missing the Rolex on my wrist. Well, two days later, another furniture store was happy to have a kitchen sold. - Complaint about damaged goods: Unfortunately, it was also a bad experience and therefore my last experience with the house. If there is any obvious damage during transport, Höffner will kindly refer you to the manufacturer's guarantee. That was new to me until now :D Greetings to customer service.

Three years ago in August I bought a Nobila kitchen unit from Höffner. After a good year, the “coating” on the handles started to peel off in some places. Shortly before the end of the complaint period, I complained to Höffner Rösrath, including photos. A few emails went back and forth, with the result that this was not a reason for a complaint and was normal wear and tear. I didn't do anything more for personal reasons. At the beginning of this year I wrote to the manufacturer Nobila. He recommended that I contact the Höffner-Schönefeld headquarters. He also did not accept the complaint because he was also of the opinion that some of it was due to signs of wear. As a gesture of goodwill, I received a voucher for €100 from Höffner. At least something... My conclusion about Höffner Rösrath and the kitchen purchase: I give the kitchen consultant a 3 (school grade). The initial consultation was ok. When we had further personal questions, the kitchen consultant was not very cooperative and very annoyed. The delivery was within the agreed time. I can only give it a 3 for the structure. Checkout is an issue in itself, even though I said I would pick up the purchase in 3 hours, I didn't get the ticket to pick up the goods😂 but only the invoice. HÖFFNER probably only understands that himself... The gentleman at the information desk was also very friendly and showed us the way. Arrived on the 1st floor, found an employee (again warmly greeted) and presented the request including the item number. The good woman checked directly on the PC – YES, it’s there, hurrah! – But no, you can’t look at it, it’s packed in the warehouse. How now is there, but is hidden in the warehouse? If you can't get to it, you can't look at it - what's going on here??? The employee apologized and showed understanding - there was no choice but to pack up the money again and leave disappointed. HELLO FURNITURE HÖFFNER! CUSTOMER wanted to buy! 🤦♂️ Some people can be happy that they don't work in our company... CONCLUSION – drove for over an hour, wasting time, gas and money. FURNITURE HOPENER? No, that's enough for now... other furniture stores probably also have nice chairs and they might be more interested in selling them, so we'll just try it after Easter. There are two stars only for the nice employees, otherwise MINUS 5 stars because MÖBEL HÖFFNER senselessly costs you time and money due to its unprofessionalism.

On April 5th, 2025 we went to Möbel Höffner looking for our future bedroom. After we were able to take our time to get an overview of the bedroom department, which wasn't that easy given the wide selection of attractive variants, we were finally rewarded with a hit. Luckily for us, what we still needed was a knowledgeable interior design consultant. And luckily, Mr. Sühl showed up. A competent and friendly employee and old hand of the house who took care of us. And that was a good thing, because I had retrained as I am now and made the mistake right from the start of expecting our future oak bed to have an alder cupboard. What got me there? Thanks to Mr. Sühl, our (my) mistake was corrected immediately. He showed us a cupboard that matched the bed and the possible variants you could choose from. Thanks to Mr. Sühl, who pointed this out to us, we were able to benefit more than from this account. In the end, we finally found exactly the right and friendly interior design consultant in Mr. Sühl, who gave us customer-oriented advice thanks to his noticeably long-standing expertise. We would have liked to see this in other furniture stores in the past. We also had the right contact person in the right place at the right time in Mr. Sülz and, last but not least, Ms. Koch during the purchase process. The purchase of a wall unit turned into a drama when I added delivery and assembly as discussed with the saleswoman. Unfortunately, no one at Höffner was able to process this information. 10 days later, when I asked about the 20th time, they said the goods were available for pickup. Until someone answered the phone who could finally give the date for delivery and assembly. Unfortunately, the team of fitters came on the day in question (very unfriendly), but unfortunately the goods were not there!!! So I asked again by phone. When I found out that the goods were still in Rösrath, I canceled them because, despite so much incompetence, I had finally had enough. Höffner brazenly also charges cancellation fees for this non-performance, compensation would probably be more appropriate for phone calls, time and hassle!!!
