Mio in Berlin

Beware of your ticket! They don't give you the bill and they will charge you more than ordered, especially if you are a tourist. They try to intimidate people who write this kind of reviews by complaining to Google, who will send you an email in German. Just ignore them. Meal is really tasteless.

A very nice restaurant with delicious dishes. Excellent value for money, and super friendly and fast service. I highly recommend this restaurant.

The service at MIO is extremely friendly, and the food, which was served quickly, was delicious, although the pasta portions could have been a bit larger (because it tasted so good ;)). The prices are totally reasonable for the central location by the TV tower, and the menu truly has something for every taste. This certainly won't be my last time here, and I'd happily recommend it. ☆☆☆☆☆

We went to Mio for Sunday brunch. A delicious selection of food – antipasti, various dips, bread, rolls, salmon... The hot dishes were equally delicious – pasta, pork, salmon, and various side dishes. It wasn't our last time there.

On Sundays there is a wonderful buffet!! The choice is very large!! The food is fresh!! I recommend!!!❤️❤️❤️

At first impression, the Mio seems very busy. The staff is friendly and always helpful and quick. But for me personally, this is unfortunately something to complain about; we had a different contact person for every concern. The accompaniment to the table, the drinks, the delivery and the asking if everything was OK was also done by someone else. Everything happened quickly, but you take your time. Going out to eat something to enjoy. Unfortunately the food was not edible. The fries were cold, the burger was also only lukewarm, the sauce was sticky and tasted like a ready-made mixture. Visually it also looked quite carelessly arranged, quite “slapped on”. The noodles were ok, but the quantity was eaten in one go. After our feedback that it wasn't really that good, we were also offered free drinks, which we politely declined. Unfortunately, the atmosphere was also very carelessly designed and managed. Broken tables, windows, unstable chairs. So I can NOT make a recommendation.

I wanted a vegetarian breakfast. I was laughingly told that I could eat a banana.

Tourist booth with unfriendly staff and overpriced drinks. We were initially made to wait for 20 minutes, only to be moved again. When we brought this up, we were loudly told that we should leave if we didn't like it. So are we - and so are the people next to us.

The food is not impressive, the burger tastes very average. Pizza like bought in a store. Overall, for these prices, my wife and I would definitely not go back there again, but it wasn't that bad either. A big plus for the beer and service :)

We were here with a pre-registered group. The restaurant was also half empty. Water? Ordering tap water was a difficulty, obviously the staff were reluctant to serve water and often came with more expensive bottled water without providing the water we asked for, we had to ask for tap water several times. We didn't get any menus on our table, one of our group had to steal them from the next table. Juices were mixed up and our food requests were only addressed 40 minutes after arrival. We only received the food after over an hour. The food was okay, quite tasty, a burrata cheese tasted a bit dated. The music was way too loud and unbearable, you had to scream to have a conversation. However, the price-performance ratio is quite good for this area, although the portions are a bit small. (According to some). I personally wouldn't go there again. The loud, plastic music with poor covers prevented any possibility of relaxed conversation. I would recommend sitting outside. The attention of the waiters and waitresses was also primary there.

The service was slow and unkind. It wants some improvement. Otherwise, the spaghetti bolognaise were outstandingly good.

So last time I almost fell off my chair! When I had to pay the price for a large Radler+ a Berliner Weise⚠️! €27.90!!!!!! No never never never never again!!!! It's completely exaggerated and completely unjustified!!!! This is a rip off! INSURANCE

Great service and delicious food

AMBIENCE: Quite a lot of indoor seating. With 6 people we were placed at a loud steel door to a cold room. Staff come in and out every 2 minutes. Drops in temperature and the slamming of the door are annoying in the long run. FOOD: Salmon fillet with baked potato and small salad. Salmon dry because it was in the pan for too long. Potato ok. Salad consists of lots of arugula, peppers and green lettuce. No cucumber, no tomato, dressing question mark. DRINK ON THE HOUSE AFTER: No. Apparently not included in the calculation. CONCLUSION: More than disappointing for a location directly under the television tower. Not again. Go three streets further, there are more than enough better restaurants in Mitte.

The breakfast for 2 people really appealed to us visually on the menu. Unfortunately it couldn't keep up with the card optics for me. By the time breakfast was completely in front of us, the hot dishes were already cold. The chocolate was not kept warm as in the picture and of course became hard and inedible shortly afterwards. The ambience didn't really appeal to me. The staff was very friendly

I was really very disappointed. We ate burgers and it was tasteless and loveless. When Mio opened, I was thrilled for the first year and was a regular customer. But it was steadily decreasing and now we wanted to try it again, but that was really the last time... what a shame

A cosy restaurant with very friendly staff. Food has always been good.

I had dinner there with my partner a few weeks ago. What can I say...it was a mass processing operation, with dirty tablecloths and cutlery. There were fire holes in the interior, the spiders felt comfortable in the light ensemble and a freezer contributed to a good background noise. The food itself was okay, but the plates are past their best. In fact, I can't recommend this shop (restaurant).

I can't understand the bad reviews at all. We went for Easter brunch there. Consistently nice and friendly staff. A really large and varied buffet with everything your heart desires. It was very tasty and it was constantly refilled. Maybe it would be possible to write down what it is with the hot dishes and the antipasti and creams. Simply better for allergy sufferers. Thank you for the nice time in Mio.

Very nice facility, but the staff was sometimes rude, which can of course be explained by the number of customers, as there was a lot to do, despite that I would have liked the staff to be friendlier. However, the cocktails were delicious!

3 days Berlin. 2 times in this restaurant. Snacks were great and the service was courteous! I was able to enjoy my book in the restaurant - outside in the sunshine for the second time - with a glass of wine. Rarely do I have the pleasure of enjoying my time so undisturbed and yet cared for. We ate here twice on our recent visit to Berlin. It's located below the TV Tower. Quite a large restaurant with seats inside and out. We all enjoyed what we ate there the only thing that let it down a little is both times the food cooled quite quickly after arrival. Not sure if it had been sitting in the kitchen for a bit before coming out. However, the food was nice and they have lots of choice. Also a nice place to watch the world go by with a beer or coffee. I'd recommend the pizzas and the toasties.

This restaurant/cocktail bar is in a very touristy spot. The letter is from a magazine, very good marketing. We ordered 3 cocktails that we could drink but you could see that they use cheap drinks which also lowers the quality. They didn't have hummus and of course no falafel. So no more vegan options. Pasta with tomato was ordered as a substitute. The pizza was OK. The focaccia came out totally wrong (it's not the same as putting a pizza dough with rosemary) and only with three sauces when the price is for four. The meat was also OK. There is room for improvement for this location. Thank you

The man behind the counter spoke Spanish. We ate the schnitzels through a thick tube. The atmosphere was trashy and cheap Hindu

It was our first time in this restaurant and we probably won't see us again. The table assigned to us was dirty, something disgusting must have run down the window right next to us and had been stuck there for some time. All in all, the hygiene is very questionable. The toilets are dirty and in need of renovation. And you also have to pay money to use the toilet. The service was slow and unprofessional. Everything has the impression of mass production. We were there with a whole school class under time pressure. The friendly service even made sure that we had our food in no time. It tasted great too. So great.

Fact: Berlin cosmopolitan city, bride reserved the table for her JGA and was asked on the phone by the staff whether she would like table fountains, bride would be happy to. The table wasn't ready for us, it still had to be cleared away and two tables had to be put together. Such bad service. Unfortunately no table fountains. Too bad Why do you reserve? For nothing. Unfortunately very inattentive staff. I now only work as a hobby, including in service, so I have a bit of experience. Too bad messed up. Because the food was pretty good, I gave a good tip. We were there for the second time today, and we were thrilled. The salmon was as tender as butter! Mehdi's service was also first-class and extremely attentive! The food was good and plentiful.

The location and the service are really top. Accommodating and super friendly. The drinks were also really good but the food was unfortunately disappointing. I don't know if it was because we were there in the evening or if it's always like that, but that was mildly disappointing.

A nice place to stay, but needs improvement. Ordering was quick but our meal (spaghetti with currywurst) took over half an hour! Then I had to go to the toilet. The employee there was busy putting a new cover on the mop. The first toilet was dirty, so the second one was used. When I wanted to go back into the restaurant after washing my hands, the cleaning lady stood in the way so that I was pushed to the "service plate". I went back without the service charge...I ate and drank at the restaurant. I actually wanted to book there for a larger celebration, but I won't do that after today.

The plates we ate on had traces of sauce. The photos on the menu are misleading because the portions are much smaller in reality. We paid more than the prices written on the menu supposedly because taxes were added.

Amazing place we accidentally stumbled upon. Food: amazing. Drinks: amazing. Service: 10 stars!!! Capo is an incredible man with an amazing story and the best service I have come across. He knows exactly what he is doing, and has an amazing team. Could not recommend this place any more! Wow ☺️

Was honestly fine, just went for a drink, but the bartender tried to scam us. He didn't show the number on the Pin machine, when I told him to show it, it was twice the price we should pay and he laughed to say "including tip". Just why?

This place has a 4 out of 5 on Google. And the photos of the menu that can also be viewed online were promising. So I made the choice for Mio... Man, that was so disappointing. If only we had also looked at Trip Advisor, where a 3 is given... And that is already way too high. After taking the drinks it took 20 minutes for them to be served and for the order to be taken. After just under an hour of waiting, something came to the table that didn't even remotely resemble what the photos on the menu showed. Too small, too greasy, soggy and not tasty. This is really a tent that is completely focused on mass and, especially when it is busy, puts the customer second. For us 'Nie wieder'!!!

Unfortunately the food was completely wrong. Hamburger schnitzel with fried potatoes and cucumber salad. Schnitzel and fried potatoes from the deep fryer, cucumber salad from the can. Only the fried egg was OK. Overall not recommended.

A shop that makes you feel absolutely unwelcome. We were waved into the store even though there was no place for us to sit. After a few minutes we got a dirty table. But it didn't get any better. You have to point out an order to the waiters several times. And we also had to ask for the bill 4 times to pay. Every time it was just "I can't, let the employees know." The shed generally doesn't seem to know how to say thank you or please.

Since it was our first time in Berlin and we were looking at the city and it surprised us positively after just a few days, we looked for a restaurant on the second day that was close to the hotel and more central. Then we noticed Mio. The menu caught our eye straight away because of its great design. So we tried the restaurant and loved it! The food and drinks were great! And the staff was more than welcoming! So we came back every evening and spent several hours there :) We had a lot of fun in this place and felt like home! Thank you for your work and your warmth, you are doing a great job! I would also like to thank you for the great time you gave us! We'll definitely be back and are already looking forward to it! Thanks to Hasem, Nicco, Iman and Isham. You were all great!☺️

Very nice atmosphere with a friendly waiter, it's a pity that in a restaurant you have to pay for the toilet and charge for things that we haven't even eaten.

Waiting 40 minutes for soup is too much

The food only tasted fried. The place is very big. It wasn't very clean. The waiters have a cordial but not very good treatment. The price is very high for the food they serve. We would not repeat.

Had breakfast there yesterday, we showed up 10 minutes before reservation and we weren't allowed in earlier. Everyone was totally unfriendly and in a bad mood. So we came back to make a reservation, were simply shown to the place and after 10 minutes the waitress came in a “great mood” :) Ironic. So after 15 minutes the drinks came, which were of course cold; We also got breakfast - it was okay, but the fruit was really hard and tasted bad. The fondue chocolate was also an absolute failure. In between there wasn't a single question as to whether everything was good or whether we needed anything else. Only when we wanted to get up and leave, after paying, did a question finally come up. The doors were all open and so it was of course totally cold in the restaurant in WINTER. Too bad!

Went there today for a drink. When we ordered we asked to pay straight away. Someone would be sent to us to collect. Drinks came at some point. Unfortunately no one came to collect. Overall you didn't feel welcome there. Staff rather bored. After we finished drinking, we asked again for the bill. There was no tip for this. The money was collected by a gentleman who settled the bill and turned around without saying goodbye. Too bad. We won't come back.

VERY BAD EXPERIENCE. I had a misunderstanding with the waiter, who thought I wanted two dishes when I wanted just one. I ended up bringing both. When I explained the problem, he complained and told me he would give me a discount to compensate for the mistake. When I asked for the bill I realized that no such discount had been made. Beyond the misunderstanding, I didn't like the food. I ordered a caesar salad, which on the menu clarified that it had FRIED CHICKEN, but it came with grilled chicken and it was very dry. The salad had almost no caesar sauce.

The cocktails tasted like washing up water with lime and ice cubes. It didn't matter which cocktail you ordered. The service was also completely unmotivated. The music from the DJ was really cool, but the speakers were extremely overdriven. That just hurt my ears. Unfortunately I can only judge the evening business but that's enough for me not to go there again.

The Mio stands out from the other restaurants on the Alex primarily because of its sensational price/performance ratio. Every meal is freshly prepared with love and a variety of ingredients. The staff is unusually courteous. The price is unexpectedly low for what you get. I felt like I was transported to the time before Corona. Keep it up.

The restaurant has a cozy, modern atmosphere that invites you to linger. The service is friendly and attentive, and the wine list offers suitable accompaniments to the food. A great restaurant for anyone who loves Italian cuisine.

I can recommend the food and service and the ambience is nice. The brunch offer was great. Where I unfortunately have to deduct a star is the toilet. Even though there was a nice lady sitting there, it wasn't really clean and it was also dark. Nevertheless, I would like to come back.

A huge location right on Alex, reservation is still recommended. Four of us were there on Friday evening. Had a cocktail and delicious food. It's all a matter of taste, but I would still like to recommend the non-alcoholic cocktail Sportsman. For dinner I had the beef salad and falafel with homemade hummus. Both extremely tasty, beautifully presented in my opinion. You can get a taste of the ambience online, I found it very pleasant.

Very good location, but unfortunately poorly implemented. The restaurant is in a great location right at the foot of the Berlin television tower. However, the concept of a restaurant in such a location is poorly implemented. The guest is greeted by dirty and broken tables and chairs in the outdoor area. This picture is completed by dirty and heavily used menus. The selection of food and drinks is extensive and, at least in the pictures, presented in a very sophisticated and “tasty” manner. The staff is friendly and relatively quick when taking the order. Unfortunately, the dishes served leave a lot to be desired. Some of the ingredients seem cheap and sparsely prepared. For example, the fries served as a side dish were by no means crispy or could even be described as finished. A taste of raw potato spread when consumed. The burger we ordered was cold and devoid of any flavor. In the finish, this gave the guest further pleasure in the form of heartburn and belching. Overall, the restaurant is not recommended. There are numerous other restaurants in the immediate vicinity that are welcome to visit.

The store is very nice and quite large. The atmosphere is good, but not suitable for eating out. Unfortunately, both main courses we had weren't really great. That's why neither of us sat up. My food was basically unseasoned. The other was just unloving. The salad was supposed to have a yogurt dressing, but it just had yogurt on it like it comes from the package. You can definitely have a cocktail here, but I would never go out for a real meal there again.

At second glance you can see that it is in need of renovation. I had rump steak with baked potatoes. The steak was great, only my potato was cold and we pointed that out, we got a new one, which unfortunately wasn't any different. Dessert was ok. Unfortunately, music was also on a constant loop.

Constant loop music...listened to the same songs three times for 2 hours... Ambience is already getting old... The food was unfortunately meaningless...the spice was missing everywhere.... Unfortunately the baked potato was cold and didn't get any better the second time around...

Everything was wonderful!!!! The food was perfect, for desert I ordered the Hot ketmar, witch were extraordinary!!!! Mission was the waiter that was taking care of my table, and his service were perfect! Really liked the place!

Very nice atmosphere. Centrally located on Alexanderplatz. Food tastes very good. Very nice service staff.

Apparently they need to charge an extra 10% service fee/“tip” which isn’t stated anywhere. Nowhere in Europe have I ever heard a tip is obligatory and much less so when they won’t bother to even clean the glasses properly.
