Il Mondo in Berlin

Wir kennen das Restaurant seit mehr als 20 Jahren und ich war in den ersten Jahren mit meinen zahlreichen Geschäftspartnern hier zum Essen. Es waren immer alle sehr zufrieden. Jetzt war ich mit der Familie zu Besuch in Berlin und haben uns zum Geburtstag der Enkelin entschieden wieder einmal das Restaurant zu besuchen. Wir waren überrascht noch immer von dem gleichen Kellner bedient zu werden . Wir waren begeistert. Das Essen war ausgezeichnet und der Service war hervorragend. Vielen Dank wir kommen wieder. W. I would like to take my hat out but that's not possible virtually. I was greeted by a waiter who saw me for the first time and was immediately mean. He made jokes about me and made me look totally stupid, it was great, great humor, I really liked it. The food was great, a parmesan wheel pasta with truffles on top amazed me so much that I had to grab it. What a taste experience, truly unique. Tiramisu and espresso were okay, definitely tasty but not earth-shattering like the pasta. Still great. The store deserves absolute cult status. 9.6/10!

I have had 3 negative experiences here. 1. I ordered Penne Al Arabiata to take away, they put another pasta in for me. 2. I was charged 5 euros more once. 3. Today I ate here, 30 minutes later I have a stomach ache and vomit. My trust was betrayed. Will never eat here again.

An all-round successful stay. You just have to bring some time. A reservation is recommended and travel, ideally without a car.

My favorite Italian in Berlin! Always a treat to be here. Family atmosphere. A clear recommendation, away from all tourist hotspots. Be sure to reserve for the weekend.

We visited on spec with limited time before a tour of the Stasi museum. Service was exemplary - fast and excellent hot soup! Also complimentary olives! Would love to revisit if we return!

Very good cuisine, very good quality of food and friendly staff. I ate there several times, at lunchtime and in the evening. The grill plate for 2 people is particularly excellent - all types of meat are fresh and juicy, grilled to perfection. The prices are in the upper range, but are reasonable as the food is very good and of high quality and you dine in a nice atmosphere with friendly service. *Accessibility for wheelchair users: A mobile ramp is available for wheelchair users, which is very steep but allows access with the assistance of staff. There is no barrier-free toilet.

Already been there for the 3rd time. Excellent quality of the food. Nice ambience. However, I have rarely experienced such unfriendly and unmotivated service staff. There are much better things in the area. Never again!!

Dishes ordered were ok, drinks were a bit over the top, coke wasn't in the 0.4l portion bottle for €5??, asked for some ketchup with the pizza, it came in a small bowl, but was immediately charged €2, billing8 on the cell phone, correct on request Accounting

Very nice restaurant with very friendly and nice employees. The food was delicious. Even spontaneously get a place during the week. There wasn't much going on that day either.

An Italian restaurant that has maintained a very high standard for years. Original Italian food that is second to none. The season menu is always exciting and delicious. The employees always make you feel comfortable, cared for and looked after. Sorry for the picture of the starter, but the antipasti were too tasty and were eaten quickly. Good menu with changing weekly menu. Price-performance ratio is quite good, although some dishes are a bit overpriced. Staff friendly and attentive. Cozy interior, covered outdoor area. It is better to make reservations on Fridays, weekends and public holidays.

Spontaneous visit on our last evening in Berlin. We still got a place on the terrace, although a reservation definitely makes sense, even in the middle of the week). The store was full, but everything seemed calm and serene. The service was super friendly and attentive. Pizza, pasta and antpasti plates tasted very good. Great go on.

The space and terrace invite you to linger. The food was good.

I have known the restaurant since I was a child, as have the waiters. They are always nice and polite. And also funny. The food is also very tasty. I highly recommend it!

We are here regularly. A great Italian restaurant! The employees are great, always in a good mood, with a quick saying on their lips and very child-friendly. The dishes are top and there is always a special seasonal menu. The restaurant is clean and friendly.

We had a fantastic lunch here yesterday. The waiter was lovely, my dog was happy to cool off in the shade on the terrace, and the food arrived quickly. The pizzas were really delicious. Highly recommended!

I recently had the pleasure of dining at an exceptional restaurant and I absolutely loved the experience. As soon as you enter the restaurant you are greeted by a warm and inviting ambience. The stylish furnishings, the tasteful decoration and the relaxed atmosphere make you immediately feel at home. The staff was extremely friendly and attentive right from the start. The service was impeccable - every request was met immediately and the waiters were always present without being intrusive. What was particularly impressive was the warm and professional manner of the entire team, who always had a smile on their faces and made sure that nothing was missing. The food was simply sensational. The menu offered a wonderful selection of dishes that included both classic and innovative creations. Every dish we ordered was superbly prepared and beautifully presented. The ingredients were fresh and of the highest quality, and the flavors harmonized perfectly with each other. A particular highlight was the main course I chose – a traditional spaghetti carbonara. The pasta was cooked perfectly al dente and the sauce was to die for: creamy, rich and with just the right amount of pancetta and Pecorino Romano. Every bite was a delight and it was obvious that the chef knows his art and cooks with passion. The dessert selection was also impressive. We tried the homemade tiramisu - it was a heavenly end to a wonderful meal. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for an unforgettable dining experience. The combination of first class service, fantastic food and a welcoming atmosphere makes it a perfect spot for any occasion. We went there for dinner after a long day of sightseeing... quite spontaneously. We didn't have to wait long for a table. They were all very nice and attentive. The food was great. Always my pleasure.

Nice Italian restaurant in a great location, the starter platter was great, the main courses were good, but they lacked the finishing touch. The waiters were very nice and accommodating, but they could have been a bit more attentive when it came to drink orders.

Eat Italian like in Italy. Honest cuisine. Every time an experience and hospitality that always puts a smile on your face as a guest.

It's certainly not the cheapest Italian place. But definitely the best in Lichtenberg. And probably beyond that too. The food is always very good. And the employees are always friendly, always with a casual saying on their lips, sometimes a little cheeky as befits Berlin. You just feel really good!

Nice restaurant with a terrace. Very friendly reception and generally extremely nice & fast service. The food is good, but nothing special compared to other restaurants, so at least a little creativity wouldn't hurt. Prices are ok. Since the service deserves 6 stars, it still deserves a close 5* overall.

We were there for a birthday party, fast attentive waiter. Unfortunately, several orders were served incorrectly or a dish was completely forgotten. Unfortunately, the chicken wasn't completely cooked through on the grill plate.

Our regular Italian in Berlin, we go to Il Mondo almost every time we visit the capital... delicious food and friendly, funny service!

Very friendly service. You can tell that the staff enjoy working here. We stayed here 3 times in a row because of the proximity to the hotel. Every time the food was excellent.

An additional star is missing when it comes to service - Italian flair paired with humor, great. The starter plate with Parma ham, melon, cheese, tuna tartare was a poem. Popular because it is near Franfurter Allee. 💯

Really great old time feel Italian restaurant. Excellent pasta and pizza - best we tasted in Berlin and for a long time, even Italy. Food quick to come. Freshly cooked. Service great and unhurried.

....ich kann die vielen positiven Bewertungen mit 5 Sternen nicht bestätigen...das Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis stimmt hier absolut nicht... außerdem war mein Fleisch leicht angebrannt, der Lachs trocken gebraten....was ich bestätigen kann, ist die Freundlichkeit der Bedienung, jedoch schon bei der Lieferung der Getränke herrschte ein kleines Chaos, was die Zuordnung der Getränke zu den Gästen und die Anzahl der Gläser und Karaffen betraf...

Nice local Italian place. If you are into grappa you will probably find the selection interesting.

So friendly and accommodating the waiters and great food and dessert. Be sure to try hot figs with ice cream! Parking available outside on the street. Clean spacious toilets and wheelchair accessible. We recommend! It's better to reserve at the weekend.

Despite full tables, nice request to wait. A table then became available. We really liked the atmosphere. Our delicious meal was accompanied by a very good wine recommendation. We felt very comfortable and will come back. Thank you for the lovely evening.

The food at the restaurant tasted really good and was high quality. However, the online menu and physical menu are different and certain dishes are not served in the restaurant (my girlfriend experienced this issue) so be careful when looking at the online menu as they might not have the item you want! The restaurant had a nice cosy atmosphere however it does get quite busy and cleanliness was not an issue at all. It is also very affordable, with most mains costing between €10-15. If you’re in the area and fancy some authentic Italian cuisine, I would definitely recommend!

Solide. Ich fand das Essen, besonders die Pizza immer lecker. Leider ist es mir hier oft zu eng. Außerdem haben mehrmals andere Gäste an den Tischen geraucht und es wurde nicht vom Personal unterbunden ??!! Sowas geht gar nicht finde ich.

Es war wieder ein schöner Aufenthalt in diesem Restaurant ,kennen und schätzen es schon viele Jahre.

Wir hatten selten einen so guten Service, vom kompletten Personal. Das Essen hat ein klein wenig länger gedauert(es waren auch keine Nudel Gerichte) das warten hat sich definitiv gelohnt. Sauberkeit des Tisches und Art und Weise wie dieser eingedeckt war, sehr einladend. Es ist vielleicht 1,00 € Teurer ABER 👍👍👍 Waren am 01.12.23 wieder dort Essen und es gab auch dieses Mal nichts auszusetzen. 😋

Tolles Restaurant! Essen war köstlich, egal ob Pasta, Fisch oder Fleisch. Auch die Desserts waren super. Personal freundlich und schnell, zudem gerne einen lockeren Spruch auf Lager, ohne aufdringlich zu sein. Preise fair und Zubereitung schnell. Sehr empfehlenswert. Auch beim zweiten Besuch gab es nichts zu meckern. :)

Wir waren diese Woche einmal im Rossini und einmal im Il Mondo. Das Il Mondo hat klar gewonnen.

Wir haben kurzfristig noch einen Platz bekommen. Hier ist es gemütlich, das Essen schmeckt und der Service ist aufmerksam.

Wer zu angemessen Preisen bei sehr freundlichen und zuvorkommenden Service ein gutes Steak essen möchte ist hier genau richtig.

Kommt drauf an wie voll es ist. Essen sehr lecker. Portionen sehr klein. Versucht fehlenden Service mit Witz wieder weg zu machen.

Essen war lecker, Die Bedienung bei unserer Weihnachtsfeier war etwas spärlich, wir hätten und den Kellner öfter gewünscht. Würde wieder hin gehen :)

Ich fand sowohl die Bedienung als auch das Essen eher mäßig. Ein bestelltes Schnitzel stellte sich als mehrere Stückchen mit zwar einem Salat zuvor, aber ansonsten ohne jegliche Beilage heraus. Ein Steinpilzsuppe als sehr fad und wenig. Nicht sonderlich empfehlenswert. Kaum vegetarische Gerichte außer Salat, Beilagen und einer Suppe.

Sehr guter Italiener mit einer schönen Auswahl am Weinen und gutem Essen. Preislich kein Schnäppchen, aber angemessen. Der Service ist freundlich und auch für einen Spaß zu haben. Man sollte zwar einen Tisch vorbestellen, was aber auch für die Qualität des Restaurants spricht .

My 6 year old son loves the spaghetti carbonara there. He says it’s the best in Berlin! He’s a big food critic so you know it’s good when a kid can eat a full adult’s portion.
