Mio Mio Restaurant in Fürth

We've been to Mio Mio four times now. Twice we had friendly waiters, but the last two times the service and friendliness of the staff left much to be desired. Even though our glasses were empty, no one asked if we wanted another drink. We had to repeat our request to pay several times. The pizzas are good, but the portion of carbonara wasn't filling. It also took a very long time for our food to arrive. As long as we were sitting alone in the next room, we could have a conversation despite the loud music. But once the other tables were occupied, that was no longer possible. We found it very odd that the prices on the menus were so faded that they were almost illegible.

The atmosphere at Mio Mio is really cozy, and the food is average. Some dishes were delicious, others not so much (we were a group of 10). The prices are truly unreasonable! However, the service leaves much to be desired! The server was constantly annoyed, and it seemed like every request/order was too much trouble. And at these prices! Absolutely outrageous! One star deducted for the atmosphere because the restrooms are very dirty, and there's no soap in the women's restroom!

The pizzas taste good, but the service is a disaster. The place was only half full, and we had to wait ages for our food. Nobody came to ask if we wanted anything to drink or if everything was okay. The restrooms looked like something out of Dresden in '45. All in all, it's sad what's become of this place.

Despite having a table reservation, we waited an hour before we could even order a drink. We were simply ignored, and when we asked about it, we were told we just had to wait a while. The food finally arrived after two hours. Very disappointing; the service was a disaster. The food itself was delicious, and the atmosphere was great.

We were in Fürth for a short break and decided to try this restaurant. The portions were very large, but the prices were perfectly reasonable. The food was delicious and beautifully presented. I highly recommend this restaurant.

The food was okay. Prices were sometimes overpriced. If it costs more, I also want to see quality, so the press doesn't care. Service was overwhelmed. The atmosphere was great, but the dirty table unfortunately cost you a star.

We had pizza and pasta there, and everything was delicious. Unfortunately, they ran out of fresh basil that evening, so it was missing from the aperitif and the Magherita pizza. We were pleased to see that they had gluten-free pizza!

We were there with 10 people. The restaurant is attractively decorated and has a pleasant atmosphere. The service was very friendly and accommodating to our requests. I also liked that all the ordered dishes arrived at the same time. The pasta portions could have been a bit larger, but the pasta was freshly cooked and al dente, and the sauce was delicious.

We were there today with 6 adults and 2 children. The ambiance was nice. The plates were set with appetizers, some of which weren't exactly clean. No one had an appetizer, but they didn't clear it away; the main course was simply placed next to it. You had to stack the plates yourself in the middle. We waited 45 minutes for the food, even though the restaurant wasn't full. It was annoying with two small children. 😬 The drinks came quickly. Two people had spaghetti aglio e olio with prawns and Parmesan. The pasta had to be seasoned first, and there wasn't any Parmesan on it. We asked for Parmesan. They came with a tiny bowl containing at most a tablespoon of Parmesan. When the bill came, we were charged an extra €1.50 for the Parmesan. I've never experienced anything like that in an Italian restaurant. We complained, but the manager dismissed it with, "We have to buy it anyway, and you can't give anything away." At McDonald's, ketchup costs extra, too. Great comparison ☝️ The prices aren't exactly cheap, and you can expect a bit more service. We won't be coming back!

This was our first time there with a voucher book. There were 6 of us in total. The taste was good, but we deducted points for... The menu: the prices are printed far too lightly. My friend had to keep asking me how much it cost, even with her glasses. Even with good eyesight, it's very, very hard to read. This needs to be improved. The pizzas are large, but I think they're €2-3 too expensive. They weren't anything special. Yes, one of us had the black pizza, but it wasn't exactly a taste sensation for the price. Three others of us had pasta/spaghetti/lasagna... The lasagna was only available as penne, so it wasn't a proper lasagna, and the portion of spaghetti was at least €2 too expensive at €14.90. That's not enough for a man who has to work hard physically (as a landscape gardener). Service still has room for improvement. We were able to order drinks quickly, and the food too, but while we were eating, we weren't asked if we wanted more drinks, if everything was okay, etc. We also had to wait a long time to pay before we were noticed... The atmosphere inside was really nice; you feel at home.

The restaurant is truly beautifully designed. The atmosphere was pleasant, from the music to the decor – you immediately feel at home. The ambiance is definitely a highlight of the restaurant. I was a bit ambivalent about the food, though. My pizza was okay, but the taste was rather average. The dough wasn't great, and unfortunately, my pizza didn't have any fresh arugula on it (see pictures). I think there's still room for improvement. We went with the gourmet booklet, which is certainly convenient. One small thing that bothered me: The prices on the menu are written very lightly, making them difficult to read. It's important to me to be able to see the prices clearly so I know exactly what my order will cost. Overall, a very nice restaurant with a great ambiance, but there's still room for improvement in the food and the menu design. If these areas are improved, it could be a truly great experience. We were there for dinner today with five people. A table had been reserved personally on Saturday. The reservation wasn't recorded, we were given a table, and then it started. We waited forever to order drinks and then waited again until we could order food, but only after repeated requests. Two people ordered spaghetti carbonara and received spaghetti with a lot of fat and no ham, which was anything but tasty. The salad came after the main course, even though it was ordered with it. Spaghetti took an hour 😠 One person ordered a pizza cabriciosa and it never arrived. When we asked a few times about the pizza, they brought a salami pizza and simply said the oven was full of pizza and we could have that. The pizza was returned, and after over an hour, they simply sent the wrong pizza. Such a comment is a disgrace. We wanted to speak to the manager, but he didn't come, which was great of him. We didn't pay for the spaghetti and pizza. We won't be back anytime soon; the staff is terrible and the food is not to be recommended. That's not how you treat paying guests. I almost forgot one thing: My wife had a plate that was chipped all around and something like that in a restaurant. No money for new china, but they treated customers like that. No thanks, it was a disgrace 👎👎👎

The pizza deliciosa, spaghetti pomodoro, and even the penne al forno were sensationally well-seasoned! Great atmosphere, especially in the evening, very comfortable chairs, subtle, good music, sharp knives for the pizza… absolutely nothing to complain about 😎 highly recommended

The food (pizza/pasta/antipasti) is quite good. The service seems a bit lackluster at times, at least when the chef (?) isn't around. It's a plus that dogs are welcome.

The food was okay. Unfortunately, the service was very poor. We had to wait forever for our food, and the waitress didn't come back to our table to order more drinks or ask if everything was still okay.

The food was okay, edible, but not worth repeating for the price range. I always get the impression that you don't get particularly great service when you redeem the gourmet package, even though you're actually hoping for the opposite: that people will come back. Well, the regulars probably come regularly, but we don't need to have it again.

We dined at Mio Mio with several people. The restaurant is located on a sports field – the terrace overlooks the tennis courts. There is ample parking, which is a positive. Upon arrival, we sat outside on the terrace. Unfortunately, the tables hadn't been cleaned. Only after a long wait did a server come, wipe the table, and bring placemats and menus. Seat cushions were visibly stacked at the edge of the terrace, but weren't offered to us – we had to get them ourselves. This also contributes to the impression that the service was inattentive. The menus are attached to clipboards – a good idea in principle, but poorly executed: some pages were missing, some drinks were crossed out (but still listed on other menus), and some of the paper was very worn. The selection of drinks and food is good. For starters, we chose antipasti and bruschetta. The taste was okay, but no bread was served with the antipasti plate, which spoiled the experience. For main courses, we had pasta and pizza dishes. The pizzas were large and tasty, but difficult to cut with the knife provided – better cutlery or a pizza cutter would have been helpful. Positive: They also offer gluten-free pizza. However, they charge a surcharge of €4.90 for the dough (which isn't made in-house), which we consider disproportionate. The pasta was solid in flavor, but a bit too soft – a touch more al dente would have been nice. Parmesan cheese wasn't automatically served, but was available for an additional charge – rather unusual for Italian dishes. Conclusion: Solid cuisine with minor flaws, but the service leaves something to be desired in several areas – from table care and a lack of attentiveness to a lack of initiative in terms of seating comfort. For a restaurant in this location and price range, a little more hospitality and care would certainly be appropriate.

Unfortunately, we didn't have a very pleasant evening; we had reserved a table for 10 people and had to split up between two tables; the lasagna and all the desserts were gone; the red wines were very warm; the service was a bit clumsy; when paying, we were charged for wine we didn't want, and the service was unfortunately very unfriendly; what a shame about the evening!

A good pizza in itself. However, you have to pay an extra €4.90 for a gluten-free pizza, and the pizza is relatively small compared to a regular pizza. It's a real shame, and the extra charge isn't justified.

First, positives... the pizza and salad were good, which speaks volumes about the food. As far as service goes, I've never seen worse anywhere in the world. I'd rather be yelled at by a McDonald's drive-thru than be served by this service crew. After 15 minutes and two cigarette breaks for my colleague, we ordered, among other things, a shandy. It arrived stale and incredibly warm. The suggested solution was ice cubes from the machine. I question whether this machine is hygienically up to standard to dispense the cubes as ice. The young man tried hard and, with a bit of practice, will soon be able to carry three pizzas without stacking them, but the lady should take the "Good vibes" print on her pants seriously.

I ate a gluten-free pizza (they didn't offer pasta, even though it was advertised). The extra charge was €4.90, which I actually think is quite a lot. I was even more disappointed when the pizza arrived, almost half the price of a regular pizza. It's almost outrageous and disproportionate. The pizza comes out of a box and doesn't have much topping on it. It's a shame, they're really ripping you off just because you can't eat a regular pizza.

Unfortunately, the wonderful ambiance didn't live up to its promise. There were seven of us here, including two children, and we experienced everything tonight: from forgotten orders to an hour and a half wait for the food to pizzas that arrived with only half the ingredients. What a shame!

The pizza was delicious, and the price/performance ratio was great. But an Aperol for €8.90 at an Italian sports bar on the outskirts of town was absolutely overpriced. The price should really be reconsidered.

Status: 6/25 We used the voucher book to try out Mio Mio. First of all, it must be said that the restaurant is located in a sports arena, and that tennis players leave their bags at the edge of the restaurant's outdoor terrace after playing if they want something to eat. That has to be accepted. Just like the unobstructed view of the tennis courts.!!! When we sat down at a table, it wasn't long before the waitress came to take our drinks. Another person took our food orders. My wife and I ordered pizza and pasta, and even though two Mio Mio employees were already at our table, no one noticed that the table was stained. This was obviously eagerly ignored. In any case, it didn't take long for our dishes to arrive. Everything tasted perfect. The portions were also quite generous. Not too much, not too little! The waiters were friendly and constantly on the go, of course – with clear skies and bright sunshine, the outdoor terrace was busy. When I was paying, I told the gentleman that it would be nice if the table was cleaned. Otherwise, there was nothing to complain about.

Terrible experience with pickup! Our order at this pizzeria was a complete disappointment. We ordered nine pizzas for pickup – three of which had completely wrong toppings. That's annoying enough when you're waiting at home with hungry guests. Instead of recognizing the problem and solving it, we were treated rudely and even accused of lying. As if that wasn't bad enough, we didn't even receive an invoice, which is simply unprofessional. Conclusion: Never again!!! If you expect reliable orders and friendly service, look elsewhere. We can't recommend this pizzeria to anyone. 👎 **Absolute disaster – stay away!**

We came here for the first time with a coupon book. We'll definitely be back. The black pizzas stand out from the crowd and taste delicious. The service is super friendly and fast. The ambiance with the scooter is very inviting.

The food was excellent! The quantity and price were absolutely right. Unfortunately, the food didn't arrive at the same time. Some people were waiting to finish while others were getting their salads. The atmosphere was a bit cramped. The aisle was narrow, and you had to weave your way through the restaurant. The drinks were definitely too expensive, though. You'd think twice about ordering something else.

Ordered 2 million pizzas. With the already sparse toppings, one topping was completely missing (...and that was on the house pizza). The pizza was reluctantly taken back. We then received the same pizza back with the missing topping. As a result, the pizza was dry, and the arugula topping was completely dried out...because the same pizza with arugula had probably been in the oven again. A friendly reminder was met with an "eye roll"... We've been there several times...but after this experience...

The restaurant is located on the premises of TV 1860 Fürth. In addition to the standard Italian dishes, there is a small daily menu and black pizzas.

We had a reservation confirmation, but unfortunately the restaurant didn't receive it. We were immediately yelled at for it, even though it wasn't our fault. They were told to just go to the back and choose a seat. The place was maybe a quarter full, so there were still plenty of seats available. No reason to be so rude. That day, a band was also playing, or rather, they were still rehearsing. However, the volume was much too loud, and the song selection was more Cuban than Italian. It just didn't fit. Then we got the menu and were initially happy that they actually had gluten-free dishes and whole-wheat pasta. It says so online, too. But there's a hefty surcharge (€4.90). When we asked what the gluten-free pizza dough was made of, we were told to look it up online ourselves. The dough is purchased from company XY. Unfortunately, it wasn't clear there what the dough was made of either. So we opted for whole-wheat pasta (€4.90 surcharge). Unfortunately, they didn't have any whole-wheat pasta. This meant that my companion could only eat a salad because she can't tolerate wheat flour products. There were four of us there, and we ordered two pizzas, one bruschetta, and one salad. The food was okay, but the ham and salami were rather poor quality. Unfortunately, you could taste it. We also had a snack bar with us. But we were immediately told that it wasn't valid today because there was an event. The band was rehearsing. All this from a server who couldn't have been more unfriendly. There was another server, who had just started, who was the complete opposite: very, very friendly. Conclusion: Unfriendly service Loud music (almost painful) Exorbitant prices for gluten-free and whole-wheat pasta, and then not even knowing what the dough was made of, and not even having it in stock. The food was okay, but I wouldn't go there just for that.

We were here with the gourmet package. Due to a "special event," however, it wasn't valid. We weren't informed of this when we made the reservation. Since we didn't order anything to eat and only had drinks, the manager threatened to throw us out. He insinuated that we just wanted something for free. We definitely won't be coming here again! What a shame, we were really looking forward to a relaxing evening after a stressful week...

It was our first time at MioMio and I had a good feeling from the homepage, which I thought was well done. However, I found the visit very disappointing because of the lady who served us. Either she just had a very bad day or, like so many people, she missed the opportunity to look for something new professionally. After she walked past us twice without paying any attention, we asked ourselves which table we could sit at since we didn't have a reservation. The almost annoyance continued afterwards. It's remarkable what a difference one operation makes. Otherwise, I certainly wouldn't have noticed so many negative things, such as the fact that there was no salt, pepper or olive oil at the table (outside), the food arrived quickly but a bit carelessly, without any garnish, and three of our orders were no longer there at 7 p.m. Two other waitresses that I observed clearly seemed friendlier, but unfortunately they weren't responsible for us. At first I was sorry that you couldn't give a tip when paying by card (from 25€ mgl), but in retrospect I actually think it was a good thing and it made me think a bit about when this is even deserved or not.

We got to know the restaurant through the Schlemmerblock. The ambience is very inviting and the service was good. The pizza was very light and airy and well topped. Overall, we enjoyed the pizza very much. It was also very nice that there is a very large parking area opposite the restaurant.

With a full house it takes time

Was very disappointed 🙈 Picked up two pizzas and a not-too-large salad myself for €40 🙈 Pizza was almost cold after a short distance and the dough was hard even though it was very thin. As a result, the pizza with tuna was very greasy. Salad was okay. But the price for self-collection is very steep. I definitely won't be ordering or picking up anything there again.

We have been to MioMio several times and have always been satisfied. Food was again good, but service was very poor. The boss was probably on Easter vacation. I had ordered a lasagne and, without asking beforehand, Rigatoni Alforno was put in front of me. My complaint was only answered, it's almost the same 🙈. Plus, you're out of lasagna. But I could also order something else. But since all of our friends at the table had already eaten, I decided not to. The noodles were a little too al dente. All of this can happen, but you should point it out to the guest beforehand. And a little apology would have been appropriate. We felt that evening that we were non-existent for the service. Nobody can take an additional drink order either. Unfortunately, this time our otherwise flawless overall impression was somewhat tarnished.

Dry pizza you picked up yourself and you can count the corn kernels on it.

Unfortunately there was no pizza anymore, so I ordered penne with gorgonzola pistacchio. It didn't really bother me that linguine came instead of penne. But the sauce was just a boring, fatty cream sauce with an almost imperceptible hint of gorgonzola. And no trace of pistachios at all! The dish was edible but bland and overpriced. The service was also mediocre, my second drink that I ordered was simply forgotten.

We noticed this restaurant on our way to the hotel and after reading the positive reviews, we decided to go on the spur of the moment. Thanks to the very nice waiter, we were able to get a table in the fully occupied restaurant after a short wait. The menu offers plenty of choice. We then decided on a pizza and a pasta dish. The food was brought very promptly and it was absolutely amazing. The service was also really great. A real recommendation from our side in every respect. Very disappointing - never again! I was recently at Mio Mio in Fürth and was really shocked by the tone there. The waiter, who may have had a Russian migrant background, was extremely unfriendly, annoyed and made us feel unwanted. Simple questions were answered sloppily, and you constantly had the feeling that you were a nuisance. I have rarely experienced something like this in a restaurant. No recommendation!!!

Pizzas ordered to be picked up via Lieferando were ready 5 minutes later than planned, but the quality was really outstanding. Dough crispy on the bottom, fluffy on top. So I can't say anything about the service here.

Pizzas were good, carbonara was a complete disaster. First of all, the pasta came completely WITHOUT sauce. On the second attempt the pasta came without parmesan and without bacon. The sauce now only consisted of cream and way too much pepper. Unfortunately, this doesn't even have anything to do with a carbonara. With cream, okay. This is not real carbonara, but many German restaurants make it. But you can also do it well. The cream sauce only tasted overly peppery, otherwise like absolutely nothing. That was nothing. Better order pizza!

The ambience is really appealing, the service was okay. The food wasn't like that, my pizza (Mio Mio) was too salty, something I've never had before and my friend's spaghetti with scampi was shrimp and tomatoes with pepperoni instead of scampi. We would also have reported it back to the waitress if, for example, we had... would be asked whether everything fits. The homemade aioli with bread was also okay, tasted like cream with a little garlic. Overall it was okay, but nothing we couldn't have done at home. Definitely not worth €50. It's a shame but we won't try there again.

After 1.5 hours of waiting, the 5 main courses arrived. One pizza was soggy and not completely cooked through. When billing, 9€ (1 wine too much) was charged, but then refunded.

Great atmosphere and delicious food!

I am very disappointed. Wanted to spend a nice, cozy evening with a friend. The food was ok, not particularly bad, but not particularly noteworthy either. The ambience was nice! Dim lighting and nice decor. The service was bad. At first we weren't served at all for a long time and as the evening progressed the service was rather absent. But what bothered us the most was the conspicuous cleaning and clattering of dishes etc., which was probably supposed to mark the end of the day. That was very disturbing and inappropriate, especially since it was only 9 p.m. and we would have liked to have had another coffee, but no one came to our table to order. Only our “pay please” was heard and we left the restaurant at 9:30 p.m. For financial reasons, I no longer go out to eat as often and next time I would rather spend my time in a restaurant where I feel welcome as a guest and don't feel like a troublemaker. In my opinion, there is a real need for staff training here.

We were in the restaurant with several people at the weekend and had to wait 30 minutes until a waitress came to our table and took the order for drinks and food. We got the impression that we weren't wanted because our gourmet blocks were clearly visible at the table. Even after our glasses had been empty for a long time, no waitress came and asked if we would like something more to drink? Apparently this restaurant doesn't need to try to attract guests? We will avoid this restaurant in the future.

We ordered via Lieferando. One tuna onion and one anchovy onion. The delivery time stated was realistic. The pizzas were good. However, there were only 3 anchovies and a piece of onion on the anchovy and onion pizza.

Just awesome. Ordered via Lieferando. Pick up in 15 minutes according to the app. Ok at second glance we find the correct pickup time of 2 hours. We received a call from Mio Mio saying that the dessert was no longer available. When we asked why the delivery time was so long, we were told it was busy and wanted to cancel the order. 2 minutes later another call, it would now be possible to pick up our food within 30/45 minutes. So far so good... when we looked into the restaurant we noticed that only 3 tables were occupied. Unfortunately, the food was no longer as impressive as it once was. We were actually happy with the food so far, but the pizza didn't convince us, especially given the price. Unfortunately we will avoid this store in the future

We were there for the first time. The worst 2 pizzas we have ever eaten. Unprofessional. NO ONE ITALIAN in this restaurant. At the end we were asked to write a very good review in return for a free schnapps or dessert. Of course we didn't do that. So here is my HONEST REVIEW and probably the ones from this year are definitely WRONG OR BOUGHT REVIEWS. I wouldn't advise anyone to eat pizza there. We can't judge the rest but probably since there are no Italians (I spoke Italian to them) it's not much better either. No quality, no idea and bad pizza. Unfortunately, a nice atmosphere doesn't help either.

It was very nice, Christmas party with work colleagues. We also had the opportunity to be with almost 20 people, despite the full house.

A week ago we ordered a margarita/ham mushroom, a special pizza and an Italian salad via the Schlemmerblock (-20% when picked up). When we arrived they said the salad wasn't ready yet. We then had to wait 25 minutes for it! When I got the pizza in my hand, it was only lukewarm, at home it was almost cold. If my two toddlers hadn't been so hungry I would have brought them back. If you compare the pictures here with our pizzas, you won't believe that they are from the same pizzeria. The taste was good, let's see if we can try it again in the restaurant...
