Minigolf in Bad Urach

Whaaaat a pearl of a place in the middle of Swabian nowhere. The restaurant deserves a Michelin Star. The service is excellent. The hotel has cosy, clean, modern and very reasonable priced rooms. The owners are unbelievably nice people! I loved everything about my stay at the ‘Bischoff’s’!

Nice service, rustic ambiance, but as a true Swabian, I have one major criticism of the sauces served: I ordered pork fillet with cream sauce and croquettes. Gravy (for some reason, it was called gravy) was also served with it. For me, the sauce is absolutely essential, but what I got here was two packets of sauce and something like water. The taste was a total disaster. The fillet and the side salad were great, but the watery sauce completely ruined the dish! The gravy was also abysmal and watery. That was extremely disappointing for me, and I wonder how they can serve something like that in the Alb region. It's a shame we won't be coming back with sauces like that!

The restaurant's ambiance could be a bit more rustic, in keeping with my taste and the rustic setting of the old town. My roast venison with freshly grated spaetzle was very good. The service was prompt, and the overall price-performance ratio was good. I can definitely recommend a visit.

A lovely, quiet, family-run restaurant. Exceptionally good service and fantastic, high-quality food. Exquisitely prepared and presented. Delicious and highly recommended. Everyone does a superb job and knows their craft. Very friendly staff. We will gladly return.
